Bank of America

2011-10-11 13:26:55 UTCD.V

Called on my cell phone...leaves no message-very annoying as they ring ring ring & never leave a message-our cell phones are also on the Do Not Call Registry!!!

2011-05-30 01:13:02 UTCFred P.

This is a scam - they called us several times today via robocalls, saying "our account status had changed" and asked for our SSN and zip code. The robocall then said "That's incorrect" and hung up. We called back the local (real) BofA number and they confirmed it was a scam.

2010-11-16 20:30:17 UTCptb

no I.D., robo call for bank of america. calling for account I do not have.

2010-11-03 16:04:39 UTCJ

This is a Scam trust me. You know how I know this? They called and said I had a problem with my credit card....... highly unlikely seeing as I have not had a credit card for over 12 years.

2010-10-06 13:03:25 UTCIECP

THEY CONTINUALLY CALL ME SEVERAL TIMES A DAY WITHOUT LEAVING A MESSAGE.

2010-06-01 05:50:27 UTCEH

Isn't it illegal for them to call at 9:38 PM??

2010-04-23 19:31:47 UTCMarci

so sick of the calls,,,, if you want' to talk to me then a real person should ask for me... otherwise.. GTH

2010-03-18 20:36:45 UTCSLF

They have called and called and called. I answered today (cell phone), they asked for someone that I do not know and would not tell me who they were. He demanded my name and I refused and he got very ugly and said "If you don't give me your name, we will continue to call". I said I didn't know the person they were calling for and would be reporting this to Do Not Call and FTC. And I did. I went back through my call log and reported every time and date this number or a variation of it called me, so I hope they enjoy paying the fines for 27 phone calls over the past 2 days.

2010-02-24 21:04:53 UTCWCH

This is a phishing scam - 100%.
1. The message lists a the four digits of credit card that I have with Schwab - I have this account on auto pay so there is no way for me to be late, etc.
2. Schwab denies there ever being a problem with my credit card and says that if there ever were a problem, they'd call me personally.
3. The message identifies itself as "card services" -- doesn't even represent a company and just trying to take advantage of complacent people.
3. The computerized "notification" tries to get you to pay on the spot -- very shady.
4. Never give out credit card information over the phone unless you are sure that you know who you are talking to.

2010-02-12 01:59:25 UTCJohn

Called me three times today looking for people I've never heard of. Had this number for over 2 years.

2010-02-09 18:44:02 UTCkara

bank of america card services - missed last payment

2010-01-18 14:39:34 UTCsam

they started to call last 3 days did not answer and didn't care about them anyway

2009-10-09 12:56:34 UTCJ

They call twice a day around 8ish and 8pm. I am not a BoA member!

2009-09-30 18:51:33 UTCMark

I verified that this is truly a Bank of America number. They had specific account information that I didn't give them and nobody but Bank of America would have. My account wasn't in trouble, I had just missed one payment and they were contacting me regarding that missed payment.

2009-08-29 22:13:59 UTCBeing Proactive

Your credit rating is probably pretty messed up if these hacks are calling you. Do yourself a HUGE favor and contact one of those "Debt Soultion" places that settles your debt by AT LEAST 50%. That stops these creeps from calling you and you don't get sued or anything like that. The Bank (or collecton agency or ex-cons who can't get a better job or whoever they are)keeps calling you because YOU have something they want... money! So as long as they are calling you, you are in complete control. Don't answer the phone and settle your debt for way less. I saved thousands of dollars, and yes I still have to pay the settlement company a few hundred a month but it's for 4 years and I'm done. It beats never ever paying the debts off and working until I die!!!! SORRY BANK OF AMERICA!!!!!!!!!! TAKE THE MONEY YOU'VE BEEN SPENDING ON THESE PHONE CALLS AND PUT THEM TOWARD THE DEBT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2009-08-26 14:02:03 UTCanon

A company collecting on a past due credit card with Amtrust. Actually very courteous. Sympathetic regarding money situation. Wish more companies were like them.

2009-08-25 21:27:06 UTCbpensinger

Do not call this number any more , there is no need to call 5 times a day, if no answer the first time theere wern't be any answer the next 4 times so DO NOT CALL AGAIN!!!

2009-08-05 14:26:30 UTCTexas

The message started out with "This is Cardmember Services looking for Victoria ???, press 1 if this is Victoria, press 2 to take a message for Victoria, or press 3 if this is not the correct number for Victoria. When I pressed 3, the message told me to hold on to speak to a customer service rep to have the information corrected. The young female comes on and addressed me as Victoria ???. When I told her they had the wrong number, she took 5 minutes to "update the records" and thanked me for my assistance. I have had this phone number for almost 2 years, but this Victoria has not updated any of her info and I am constantly receiving calls for her. Some companies don't seem to understand that if I didn't know her last week or last month, I still won't know her today or how to find her.

2009-06-23 03:55:47 UTCJ. Escalante

Please do not call my home number anymore

2009-04-30 08:00:09 UTCb

This is FAKE! I went to the bank, asked, they said this number is not affiliated with them.
The number that called me was 866 635 4316 , and they tell me to call 888-800-2513. They call me like 10x every day. When I call back someone pick up and says "card services, I need to give you information about your card, tell me your DOB, last 4 digits of social..." etc

Bank of America told me they would never make phone calls this, and that I should keep a close eye on my account and maybe get a new account number.

I am thinking of telling the police.

Fairly sure this is Bank of America, or rather a collection agent (CA) contracted by BoA. I'm in a billing dispute with them, they claim delinquency. This is the third CA number I've seen in the past month, and has so far only tried twice since the weekend. I had no contact, only collected the CID.

Similar to a California CA, (at 626-666-6754) reports on this firm tell of aggressive skip tracing attempts, such as requesting full SSN and data no bank needs, like a driver license. Some of this, and the vagueness of caller identity, can be explained by an FDCPA injunction against any collector blabbing too much about dirty laundry in its efforts to reach a debtor. The idea is to keep your debt issues private, so they are required to mask themselves to some extent. The backfire from this is coming off like a phishing scam even if the reason for calling is valid. The rep often can't tell you who she works for or the reason for calling without linking you to identifying data, which you in turn may be reluctant to reveal to a stranger with no stated agenda.

2008-06-05 00:50:05 UTCDAVID

I got a call from the same place(Bank Of American). Its either a blocked call, or unkown. Only recently did it start showing a #. The Fair Credit reporting act says a collector's # has to be present, and they cannot hide thier number in any way, but its funny that they still do. They also intentionally do not call and wait until you are way late, and then harrass you to no end.

2008-03-07 12:55:38 UTCWouldnt Dare

Their latest trick is to mask their calling number as "Unknown". But the obviously foreign operative soon admitted he was calling from a list, from a source he did not know. He tried to accuse me of being "Amanda's" spouse. I wonder how much money his client foolishly lend "Amanda" that motivates them to abuse my privacy.

2008-02-22 15:52:14 UTCWouldnt Dare

These turkeys "Card Services" keep calling looking for "Amanda Littlefield" (a person I have no knowledge of whatsoever). I took the trouble to plow through their menus and spoke to a person who asked for my name. I blew them away, but they persist in calling. If I gave them my name I suppose the next thing would be an attempted shake-down per the recent article in the Wall Street Journal concerning Home Depot, Walmart and other big retailers.

2008-02-16 16:53:25 UTCgtmom

Asks for me to push 1, and when I do, it hangs up on me

2008-02-15 21:24:38 UTCRaz

I'm getting several calls a day for the last few days from this number; no intelligible message has been left. I do have an account with BofA though I'm pretty sure I'm not in the rears on anything. So it may spawn from that account but I will not give Social Security numbers over the phone either so I'll have to contact them directly to find out if it is them.

2008-01-22 14:54:28 UTCmike

A recording identifies them as "Card Services" and asks you to confirm who they are calling by pressing "one" Then they ask for the last four digits of your SSN. I hang up at this point but they have called for four consecutive working days.

2007-12-19 04:00:59 UTCK

its an automated message that says they are Bank of AMerica and there has been a change in my account. It asks the person they are asking for to press 1. I did and then they ask for my social and phone #. I have never given it to them and I am highly suspicious of this type of phone call. I am not sure if its ligit and Bank of America wont confirm or deny this. They call numerous times a day including Sundays.

2007-10-11 18:55:25 UTCTim

Have no Idea who this is! If it is Dell i don't owe them anything. So they should not have a reason to call. They don't leave message's and it gets very annoying. These kind of automated call's should be regulated and stopped!!!! If they can't let you know who they are and what they want!!!!

2007-09-26 23:18:08 UTCwilliam

IT'S DELL. IF YOU ARE LATE ON YOUR BILL OR ONE OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD IS LATE THEY WILL CALL THOUSAND TIMES. I HATE THEM.

DELL

2007-09-26 16:05:01 UTCMickie

they keep calling my minor child's cell phone and won't leave message.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
