Rogers Tele-spamming
I keep getting this number on my phone. It says it's a long distance number when I dialed it back.... I just called it anyways and the automated answering service said they are Tele-performance and that they service Rogers.... and to leave a detailed message with phone number to be removed... that's all I listened to, I just hung up... pretty annoying though, I think I've answered a couple times and no one was there, but at least a few times a week for the last few weeks, sometimes a few times a day, this number has been on my phone... Same as Bell I guess, I used to get regular calls from them until I got mad and told them to never call again because their annoying calls were making me want to never switch back :) now I just get their unlabeled junk mail...
I believe that we need to make complaints to the CRTC. Check their web page for details about how to file a complaint. It is estimated that for each complaint lodged... the cost a defense before all of the hearings etc. can run $50,000 and up. Perhaps if ROGERS gets hit in the pocket book a few times they might change their MOE and respect their customers (and the public). On the other hand it might teach them good business sense.
Have received two calls recently from this number... I did not answer.
Based on what I'm reading here and in the news, I'm guessing this is related to the lawsuit that Telus has levelled against Rogers regarding their advertising claim to have the fastest and most reliable network. Telus and Bell have recently upgraded their network.
I received a call from this number today -- they hung up! If this is Roger's... they need a good public relations consultant. I believe that Rogers is involved some shady unethical partnerships such as "TEXT CHALLENGE" and WIXO IN TEXT CHALLENGE" (866 257 4586 -- number shown on cell phone bill) and they would have a better public image if they kept their business affairs to what they are good at and quit this sort of scumbagging their accounts.

called my cell. This is an appalling way to treat their paying customers. I will change my cell provider - from Rogers - this weekend.
It IS Rogers! I spoke to a live person yesterday and he admitted it is a Quality Assurance call. He took my number off the list (we will see!) but it will take 2 weeks to go through. He said he has had a lot of complaints. He alo volunteered to credit me with air time but as I never answered he didn't have to. And why is there no one on the line? Apparently their system dials a bunch of numbers at once and if you wait 10 or more seconds someone will be there. All I can say in my case is I am lucky I am not glued to my cell phone.

Caller claimed to be representing Rogers Cable and tried to upsell me a Digital TV box.
I've been receiving calls from this number at least twice a day for the past two or three weeks. If I answer, it's just dead air. If I let it go to voicemail, it records dead air and then I have to login to my voicemail and erase the "messages."
Today, it was worse than usual. I was receiving a call from them every hour on the half hour. I've called the number and it answers with a recorded message claiming that they are a marketing company representing Rogers but I have a hard time believing that a legitimate call centre would behave in this manner. That's really unethical practise and probably illegal.
Just rogers called to find out how the service i received with the representative was ok?

Confirmed - this is a marketing firm from Rogers. I visited the Rogers website, and sent them an email asking them to help me get rid of this company.

Calling ever day 8 to 10 times no matter if you answer or not, “thank you for being Rogers valued customer” ????.
They've been calling for days. I finally answered when they called this morning, and I declined their offer of a cable upgrade. They said OK, but called twice more that same morning - first hanging up on me when I asked why they were calling again, and the second time to try to offer me an internet package. Argh!
it's a telecommunications company calling on behalf of rogers. I told them to take me off the list and now they call me every day, and i keep reporting it to the do not call list but nothing's happening, what's up with that!?
For those of you on Shaw, or whatever company you use, you can call block this number. Shaw has instructions on their website for those customer who have digital phone service through them. I am sure other companies have the same feature. Took 3 min to set the programing in to block this number. I fit does not work, then I can directly complain to Shaw for not providing the services I pay for: blocking numbers. I would not rely to heavily on the government's "do not call list"
I just wonder if some thing we can do about this phone calls I don't give my phone number to marketing but this@*&^%$ still call me more then 3 times daily to my cel or my home ..What about the goverment? they have any complain about all this fony calls?Or rogers is just a open market to the world with us a customers?

This is Tele-prefomance servicing Rogers (or so the message said when I called back) they have a voice mail to leave a message if you want your number removed. Unfortunately, I could not leave a message as the voicemail box was full.

when you call the number back they answer telus performance. if you look them up on the internet, they are a wireless telephone company based out of niagara falls. national do no call...hurry up and kick in!

Originally, I was receiving continuous calls from a certain 1800 number, now this number keeps calling me. They tend to wait until the mailbox but do not leave any messages. I called the number back and it is supposedly a company hired by Rogers to do customer research. Of the 20x they have phoned me, I picked up twice to tell them to f-off, but no one was there. Just have the number blocked.
I called this number back. There was an automated message saying it was a communications company working on behalf of Rogers and if you leave a message with your phone number they will de-list you within 48 hours. I then called Rogers to lodge a complaint. I received nine calls this morning alone - all of them hang-ups on my voicemail.
I get at least two phone calls a day, no one is on the other end, reverse number look up does not work on this number
