Who Called Us

I get calls from this number daily. I spoke with someone and demanded to be removed. I said that I'd hunt him down if he called again. He laughed at me and said that I'd never find him. This only made it worse, as I then got numerous daily calls. Now it is back down to once a day. I'm sure it is an offshore number. What can be done about this? When the machines do the calling it seems like they are immune to the "do not call" list. I wish they would skewer these people and put them over a fire somewhere!!!

This number is from a service that is a "number miner". They want to see what numbers are answered regulary. Then they sell your number to other telemarketers. They don't care to actually sell you anything, they just want real numbers that get answered. The solution? Either change your number (impractical to most) or don't answer any number you don't know-especially 800, 877, 888, 866, or 777 numbers. If they only get your voicemail, you're not worth anything to them and your number won't be sold. But once you've made them aware that you like to answer strange "unknown" phone numbers you'll be on every fly-by-night scam companie's phone list on the planet. Remember the "Do not call list" is only applicable in the US where even then it's weakly enforced. Say hello to the rude Indian guy who can't pronounce your name.

I get calls in one of two manners: 1) The call is from 866-575-6740 and an automated computer leaves a message, or 2)
the call says unknown and I get some stupid Indian guy who can barely speak English. Either way it's the same people/company. I have followed the automated instructions dozens of times to remove me from their list. I believe that the person/company responsible is trying to subjugate normal people by driving them to the brink of insanity. Take this seriously: Once they have your number they will never let go! Expect multiple calls all hours of the day for months on end. If I ever meet the person who has done this I will...well just think of a particularly brutal scene from a Nazi concentration camp and let your imagination run wild with holocaust horrors.

Repeated calls for someone named Victoria who doesn't live here, claiming that I've won a sweepstakes. I told them to take me off the list. Didn't do any good.

After the fourth call in one day, I got angry, and two foreigners (male and female) alternated turns on the phone swearing and screaming sexual obscenities.

When you call the number it takes you to an automated system which asks for bank account information.

Can't someone do anything about this?

This is an unsolicited call. I have not contacted this company. When I answered the phone, I answered with my company name and I was hung up on. I'm sure I won't be contacted anymore. I recommend anytime a phone number appears that you do not know, answer with a company name (be creative but realistic.) I have a mute button on my phone so I will often times answer "company name, please hold".. hit my mute and then listen.. most times.. viola.. they disappear.

I have saved this number in my phone with "WTF" as the contact name, now they can call all they want and I just won't answer. I have requested that they remove my number, but just in case they don't, I will be ready.

they have been calling for at least a month 2-3 times a day. i keep hitting the option to remove my number from their list but it does not seem to work because i just got ANOTHER call a few mins ago. its always a recording so i never get to argue with anyone. im really getting fed up with this!!!

picked up the phone and there was no one there, then got disconnected.

It's 9pm and they called again for the 4th time today. I called back because I'm feeling rather argumentative.... They say if you want your # removed from further notifications, press 1 and then to confirm that you don't want to receive these important calls you press 1 again

starting a petition for a class action lawsuit against both the fake company n employees and home land security for knowingly allowing a foriegn company call and harrass american citizens attempting to scam bank information and social security numbers to use for identity theft purposes

called at lease once a day either hangs up on me or it rings then someone is rude to me

goddamn annoying!

Called a few minutes ago, this time someone was on the otherline, when I said hello, they said "what do you want!", like I was bothering him! I said "you called me asshole" and he hung up.

Called this morning about 11:30, the DNC probably can't do anything about them because when the computer calls you and you pick up, the computer then calls a representative, so it looks like you called them and the DNC can't do anything.

I believe them to be a payday loan type of outfit, but the man with a horrible accent and a degree in butchering hte english language would not tell me exactly who they are, just that I have been approved for my loan,of which I never applied for!

I don't know why this person keeps calling. When I answer there is no one on the other end.

Reported to DNC list. My mobile had been spam free until I recently opened a new checking account at a local bank - I wonder if they are associated with each other?

told me my application for credit was accepted and when i asked where they got my application from they hung up

was a car loan lender. but when asked which one the half english speaking man would not answer me

I think it is a scam.....I get atleast 2 calls a day from them and it's on my cell such a waste of minutes.

AGGHH... they won't stop calling. I have tried to remove myself from their "OFFERS" list but to no avail. Seriously... it's annoying

Have called 6 times to prepaid cell number - costing me money. Each time an additional effort was made to "remove number from calling list" another call was recieved at the start of the following business day.
