Per the FTC:
If a third-party telemarketer is calling on behalf of a charity, a consumer may ask not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, that specific charity.
If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $11,000.

They call repeatedly, always on weekends and evenings and with nothing to say, no message.

This number repeatedly keeps showing up on my caller ID. Apparently, it is a recorded telemarketer message about satellite TV.
It's very very annoying.

They call several times a day. Don't answer, it only encourages them.

i answered the phone, heard some background noise, then they hung up. i called back and the call wouldn't go thru. why call if you aren't going to say anything? i don't get it.

Background chatter, than hang-up. Duration, about 20 seconds. 4:15 pm, August 7th.

I prefer it if they at least try to accomplish something, a dead line is like stalking. When does the heavy breather come on shift?

It is usually the "Share Group" who is calling from this number. I called them back and it says that they are an organization that works with non-profits and progressive political campaigns. They also state that under some law (I can't remember which) they do not have to abide by the "Do not call" rules usually applied to telemarketers because they are a non-profit. They're website is sharegroup.com

They call at least once a day, hanging up when I answer. I have called the number back and left several messages telling them to remove me from their list. I have also filed a complaint with my state's attorney general's office.

They call the house 3-4 times a day. If I answer, I get silence on the line.

They are exempt from the DNC list. I called the number back and looked them up on the web. If you've ever donated or dealt with something like NPR or PBS, or any kind of not for profit org, you can and will be called by them or a Co. they hire.

Only thing to do is ask to be removed from call list...though we all know how successful that can be...

I now have received multiple calls from them from 3 different numbers. They are relentless. I have yet to answer and I won't. Do they ever give up?

Called and when I picked up he/she said nothing when I said hello. In the background I heard a TV.

we receive frequent calls from this number. They never leave a message.

Same as the others, they call on my cell phone repeatedly; constantly showing missed calls from them. Is there anything we can do, this is pure harrassment.

They call my cellphone repeatedly. I get "Missed call" reports on this number more than once a day on average. I don't answer, of course. Who are they?

Really annoying. many calls-at night Saturday and Sunday. They are really obnoxious.

So, who the hell are they?

Don't these jerks have anything else better to do?
