I get calls from this number and 866-499-2753 frequently, and just ignore them.

For those that are really at your wits end, you might try contacting your US Congressional House Representative - Constituent Services. That's what they are there for. If enough complaints are filed, maybe something will get done.

I programmed this number to ring on "clatter" and identified the number as ANNOYING1. That way I can ignore it more easily.

This caller might get better results from me if they identified themselves or their purpose or left a message. Ringing as unknown and hanging up is just plain annoying. It is like a daily Halloween prank.

I received a call from this number and tried to use "call return" to find out who it was, but it would not go through. I dialed it directly and it went through to "The Share Group" and a recording said they called my number recently as a result of a non-profit group and said their calls were exempt from the National "Do Not Call" Registry. My guess would be that these calls are from Presidential campaigns, but I do not know that for certain.

Multiple call attempts every day - starting in the morning, going into the evening. At least now I know from this website which company is responsible for this. I couldn't imagine giving money to any organization using this telemarketer.

I've been getting calls from this number daily (at least) for over a month. What bothers me is that ignoring the calls doesn't work completely. When I don't pick up, the calls goes to voicemail. EVERY TIME they creates "message waiting" signals (a period of silence, usually) that I have to call in to erase...

I am getting calls from this number and a bunch of others. I never answer. They just keep calling from different numbers. It's pretty obnoxious. They call at night and on the weekend. They need to leave me alone...

they call repeatedly day after day after day. i have left them two messages telling them not to call, leaving my phone number, but it makes no difference.

This guy was a complete asshole. He would not answer a single question, but asked a million himself. I felt violated, by giving any info out. Screw this guy and whatever he wants to sell, or find out about me or my boss.

I don't know what to do. I've written to Share, begged them to stop calling and they don't do it. I have an handicapped mother at home and she can't stand the constant calling. I don't know who to call, write, etc to complain to. We are literally being harrased by these Share people. Any suggestions appreciated.

i know who they are. They are a cancer support group who run programs for women with breast or ovarian cancer. they call every few days but I never pick up 800 numbers.

Have been getting frequent calls from this number; today I answered. It was a solicitation for AFS (American Field Service), a non-profit student exchange service.

Answered call, no one there.

This was a call from the American Civil Liberties Union asking for a donation.

Getting about one call per afternoon from either 866-499-2754 or 866-499-2753. I don't answer this particular phone during the day so they've been unsuccessful at reaching me so far.

3-4 times a day. It's so frustrating because I teach out of my house and I need to keep the ringer on in case a student is trying to get a hold of me. It's very distracting.
I don't like to be rude to the people hired to actually call. They're just working beacause they need a job. It's really not their fault. I would, however,love to find out where the "Bossman" making the $$ off this buisness lives and blow a big air-raid siren off in his/her back yard about two hours after they go to bed every night. I could see doing that.

They may be hired by a non-profit, but they are not, themselves, in any way, a non-profit company. This sucks.

Didn't pick up the phone, since it was a toll free call, I assume it's from a solicitor.

Such profit and non-profit hired solicitors make HUGE, I mean HUGE amounts of MONEY and most don’t really care what you think or if it bothers you. They apparently make BIG, BIG, BUCKS in spite of the laws, followed or not. For the profits the hired solicitors make, they keep most of it for themselves. The organizations they soliciting for usually make very little from your non-profit donations and the solicitors themselves are usually not non-profits, just the organizations they are soliciting for. If you ever talk to them just ask them what % of a donation goes to the organization they are representing and what % do they get? If you ask this in a concerning manner you might get an answer, if not you might get hung up on?

Another interesting note. If they are not a non-profit and you ask them not to call you back, guess what. Ring, ring, ring! Asking such a question as not to call you back is allowed to be interpreted as they don’t want me to call them back, TODAY! You MUST TELL THEM TO PUT YOU ON ALL OF THEIR DO NOT CALL LISTS FOR ANYONE THEY SOLICIT TO FOR EVERYTHING. Meaning if you are not specific they can call you back for another organization’s donation. So always get their name, number and company’s organization name, wait about 6 months for the calls to stop from them and then just report them to the AG if they continue to call or take them to court with the times, dates, numbers and people you talked to. If they clue you are gathering info they will hang up on you. Be sneaky, take your time, ask concerning questions, get the info you need. “how do I know my donation is going to the right place? What’s the name of your company and the company you are representing? If choose to donate what number should I call back on and who should I ask for?

I get their name and telephone number and organization, without really tipping them off to my information gathering and just keep that info for future reference. I just tell them, if we ever receive a call again from the solicitor, or your business, I will consider it telephone harassment, not solicitation. And that goes for everything and everyone you solicit for. Most hired paid solicitors, take from 50 to 90% of the profits they talk you out of. If there is a organization you want to give to just write them a personal check, with a note that says any contact from any solicitor or them regarding your cause, or even a thank you, will be my clue to discontinue my contributions for ever. Then I program in their phone number on my computer based answering machine to answer their call on the second ring and play them the sit tone and the message that this number is no longer in service. Call Station, imptec.com. How would I get along with out it?

this number and 800-956-0076 are all apparently tied to a non-profit fund raising group. Sadly, DNC doesn't restrict calls from non-profs.

We don't care if you ARE a non-profit; We don't care WHO you are. QUIT calling!!!!! We don't like to be bothered by calls soliciting for ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

I am getting several calls a day from this number and several other toll free numbers. I blocked my caller ID and called them, and they all belong to the Share Group. The phone is answered by a recording that they represent a number of non-profits and that they're calling on behalf of a non-profit I previously supported (which could be any one of several). The recording also includes a reminder that non-profit solicitations are exempt from do-not-call legislation.
