Solicitation from Discover will not stop

I have the discover card. They call everyday trying to sell me crap. I've asked several times now to be removed, but they still call. Isn't there a national do not call list we can add our names/numbers to?

I don't have a Discover Card, I don't want a Discover Card, so STOP CALLING ME FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!! There has to be some way to stop these computer generated calls. This is legal harassment and should be stopped. Don't we have a government out there somewhere?

Call several times a day.... 33 in one week

Guess that this is the Discover Card people callin' again, and trying to drum up business in this bad economy. Poor saps that have to make these types of calls.

Same as others...phone rings, ogm comes on, caller hangs up.

Asked for (wife's name). When I told them she wasn't here they asked if I was Del. I said "yes". Another person then came on the line and asked for my address. I asked, "why do you need that?" He told me he was calling from Discover and wanted to talk to me about a "payment protection plan." I told him, "I'm not interested" and I hung up.

This was a hang-up call. Occurred at 5:22 pm on April 2. I reported this to Discover, because I needed to call them anyway.

No one seems to be on the other end. I either hit the "talk" button and then immediately hit the "end" button, or I hit "talk" and then lay the phone down and walk away. I'm hoping they'll get tired of that and leave me alone.

Thank you Dan for the info. I called the 800 number and they said they will take us off their call list, but takes 22 days to be effective.

This IS Discover Card - Marketing Department - They are pitching their card/credit protection program.
They also don't seem to know what 'not interested' means.
customer service (800-347-2683) can confirm that this is one of their numbers and try to take you off their marketing list

Discover Agent: Are you Mr. & Mr. Tom?

Tom: Are you Discover Agent?

Discover Agent: Yes.....

Tom: I do not believe you are a Discover Agent... Hung-up!

Simple! Very Simple! This is how I deal with these fake Discover Agents
They call me EVERYDAY!

A lady was on the other end who was hard to understand. After she talked about 5 minutes she said she was gonna record the rest of the conversation. That is when she started to cut out. I told her that she was cutting out and i didnt hear anything of what she was saying for the last 2 minutes. That was when i got disconnected by them.

Scheme

Yesday One lady called me about Discover card. Today, it changed to another man calling.

Discover agent:Hellow.. Are you Tom...
Tom: Yes, I am..
Tom: Your are not a real person, are you?
Discover agent: If I am not a real person, how can I talk to you now?
Tom: I still do not believe you are a real person. Are you calling from Discover Card?Discover agent: Yes I work for Discover Card.
Tom: Do you know how many people complaining about calls from this telephone number in the internet? You are a fake person! Discover card might be closed just because of you... Hung up.

One lady claimed herslef as a sales representative of Discover Card, I asked her if she was really working for discover card, she said she was. I then asked her to send me a written message of letter, fax or anything, then she hung up.

I got a random voicemail from this number- just laughter and chatting.

my answering service had recorded this and it was just background chatter, unitelligible talk, and then a middle eastern sounding accent and language (non english) male spoke. 25 seconds worth of call was recorded and ended with the speaker still talking.

Called four times, never leaves a message. My husband answered the last call and it was Discover Card Services calling to advise me that I have cashback on my account. I already know this and I'll cash it in when I'm good and ready. I don't need to be called by them to let me know. They call many times under various numbers. A real pain!

Who ever this was they called at 9:02 at night. I get calls from toll free all the time and if I answered it's been everything from Direct TV, Banfield pet clinic. It appears that this is some service catering to whom ever wants to use their disguised phone service. The phone numbers are always different but always say Toll Free.

Two separate calls from women with thick accents claiming to be with Discover Card. Both tried to get information about my account. Called Discover Card and found out it was not them. Scam scam scam.

THEY CALL SERERAL TIMES A WEEK ONCE IN A WHILE THEY ASK FOR MY WIFE AND I TELL THEM THAT SHE IS AT WORK AND CAN
I TAKE A MESSAGE THEY SAY WE WILL CALL ANOTHER TIME.OTHER TIMES WHEN THEY CALL IF I OR MY SON ANSWERS THERE IS
NO REPLY

They call me a lot. Never leave a message. I ignore them with CID. What a pain.

no one on the line when we say hello...i have reported this number numerous times on the do not call website. i don't even have a discover card, if that's who it is !

Constantly calling and no one is on the oine when u answer and we are on a no call register

they called 3 times today......never left a message....
