you do not need to do a survey for them to stop calling.... if they are reputable. if you ask them not call they should cease immediately. if they don't, copy the following:

Canadians across the country have been harassed by Foundation Research Group / Forum Research for years. Google 866-469-8365 to read the comments of some very frustrated people. No one speaks when we answer the phone. We call and ask to be put on their do not call list. The calls don't stop. Multiple calls every day. What can we do? They are a research company and the CRTC do not call list rules don't apply to them. Their website says they are telemarketers? They also work for the provincial and federal governments. Please help us.

call and email the pres and his staff tell them to stop calling. if they don't stop calling email all of the consumer advocates listed. give us some more! hannah on youtube has gotten hundreds of hits in a couple of weeks. lots of people are checking the web looking for solutions to this problem. if those people also emailed goldhawk etc we could see this in the news. looks like your calling and emailing is getting a reaction. we are now provided with a new fax and 800 number? they don't want to be bothered by your calls and emails :)

got about 3 calls from this # so far, I don't answer unknown/800 #'s unless they leave message, thanks to your comments about this #, I now know that its a BS call :)

just before 9 pm and of course no-one there to tell them i will not encourage whatever they are calling about ... so they'll keep calling back

These guys have 2 websites "Foundation Research Group" and "Forum Research". According to the CRTC Do Not Call List because they are a "research" company they can call you whenever they like!
Quote from the CRTC website:
"Calls from organizations conducting market research, surveys, or public opinion polls are also exempt from the National Do Not Call List Rules and are not required to keep an internal do not call list. These types of calls are not telemarketing calls because the caller is not asking you to purchase, lease or rent products or services."
According to their "Forum Research" website they also do work for the provincial & federal government.
Wonder if the government gets a break on their bill by allowing these "researchers" to annoy & harass their citizens. Someone suggested calling the better business bureau. What good would that do? I don't think their customers care if WE are bothered. Please just call their President Chris Bandak 1-866-469-8365 when the recording comes on dial *02265. If you don't want them to know your name set up a Skype account under a different name. I did and I'm old and pissed off. Also don't give out any personal info here. I have a feeling these "researchers" read these posts.....right banana.

These guys are Foundation Research group. President is Chris Bandak. You can call him directly dial 1-866-469-8365 when the recording comes on dial *02265. CALL THEM! What a hoot. Can't stop grinning. He answers his work phone and why wouldn't he? He's not expecting calls from the people his company phones non-stop at all hours of the day. Have some fun. It doesn't cost you anything. those annoying calls. Google the "Foundation Research Group" so you can see who you're calling.

I was wondering ... if you do respond to these people, do they call back again?

Dirt bags

The last time that I got a call from this company was more than two years ago (see my comment from 2008-03-10). At the time, I thought it was some sort of mortgage scam due to the nature of their questions.

Anyway, this latest call also dealt with mortgages. They claimed to be calling on behalf of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). Once again, I asked that they remove me from their database. The agent said "Okay, no problem". Let's see if they leave me alone for another two years. :-)

Dead air for several seconds... no answer. They've been calling everyday while I'm at worked. I blocked this number so hopefully they can't get through again

Number showed up eight times in the last two weeks on my caller ID. I answered the call today and the caller claimed be doing a survey on behalf of Canada Mortgage and Housing.

many calls... finally i answered but left the phone on a table for a few minutes the heard someone saying hello??
and said please stop calling and they said sorry, ok.
it is so annoying how these numbers call and call and call and call and call.......

This number has called me EVERY DAY for the past 3 or some odd weeks. It is super annoying and I have just been ignoring the calls and pressing IGNORE which hangs up on them.

They are calling from 7am until later than 12 pm on some nights. Who the hell are these people? and what is their purpose???

For first time I got a call from Number at 10pm and it seems from this forum that I will get more calls from this Number. If I get a Call from this number and they speak then I will make them hear the Music CD which I will record by attaching a Microphone on my underwear. Most probably they will not call me back after hearing the bangs and the blasts..........

These guys have called once a day for the past couple of weeks. We've never been around to answer the call (like, dude, some people work during the day! Duh!) and they've never left a message. If I happen to intercept the call at some point I'll ask them to remove my number from their list... then we'll see what happens.

Answered the phone, and there was just dead air. Heard a "click" but no one said anything... ???? Idiots!

Call display says Out of Area, but the message log gives this number. They didn't leave a message, just hung up. Who sold the Canadian Do Not Call List to these people?

today i received 2x calls from this #.

Have received five calls a day for the past three weeks at least and they left no message. Have gone to Holt Renfrew site and they have posted a notice that they are not involved.

Recording said they were a follow up company for other companies.
They started off calling every hour. Then it was every half hour,now it is every 15 minutes. These calls begin at 8:00 a.m. and end around 10:00 p.m.. This is harrassment and I am calling the police!!

Just got a call from this number (1:06pm EST Apr12/08 Toronto, Ontario)

Young girl (maybe college age) said she was calling from Foundation Research Group and wanted to know if I was interested in participating in the rating of a radio show, and if I was they'd send me a CD (or DVD, can't remember, but CD makes more sense) to listen and respond to.

I let her go through her little speech, and politely said I wasn't interested and to please remove me from their calling list. "Sure of course, no problem!" was the response.

I'll keep y'all posted if they call back with a different story next time.

THIS UNKNOWN CALLER CALLS ABOUT 10 TIMES A DAY, DOES NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE

The caller (a real human, not a recording) wanted to ask some questions about my current house and if I had plans to buy a new house. Although I didn't let him continue, I suspect that this was another mortgage scam.

I told him to remove me from their calling list and he said that he would. We shall see.

They keep calling every 2 hours, but never leave a message. When will these scumbags learn that harassment is not a good way to generate sales.

Just called - rang twice and they hang up when I answered. So annoying!!

Called back; recording said to "leave the number that was called, and we'll call you back." Yeah, right!
