How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

also from 866-402-1045. "tollfree" on caller id. never leaves a message. calls persist to 9pm and over several weeks
If I had connections with a terrorist group, I'd send them to this caller's origin to exterminate them

I have lived here 2 days now (with a new number), and they have called me twice.
I called the # and asked immediately to have my number removed from their call list. The lady who took my call was polite and said that she took my # off the list -- without trying to push anything on me at all. I hope it works!! And good luck to all of you!
This number comes up on my caller ID on a daily basis. I never answer it and a message is never left on my answering machine. It is very annoying.
The gentleman caller sounded like he is from India, and keeps asking for my husband by name, and instead of leaving a message he just says hello like we know him or something. It's kind of creepy.
My number is on the "DO Not Call" list! And I still get these calls. I'm going to see if I can get the company reported and cited for this violation.

They call repeatedly and state only the phone number- they do not identify the company or their personal name. It is very annoying!
They call numerous times a day and sometimes late in the evening.
Discover are bums! They call my house several times a day too! But they are also using the number 866-402-1041, SNEAKY! Once you have told them to put you on the Do Not Call list, depending on your State, you can turn them in for every call(take pic of Caller ID) and or save messages,etc....every State is different, but Federal Law is still all the same! If everyone was to turn them in that they harrass, maybe they would get fined so much money, they'd finally get the HINT!
This number comes up as Tennessee on my caller ID.
FYI...if you are on the DO NOT CALL LIST...for more than 31 days let them know that you will file a compliant at donotcall.gov and that they are subject to $11,000 fine. That should stop the calls.

They call multiple times every day. And they have done it for months on end now.
Just received call on my cell from this number. As soon as I answered they hung up. If it is from Discover maybe they remembered I told them not to call my cell. LOL.
Calls several times a day. Indicates "unavailable" name. Never leaves message on voice mail (I never answer the phone anymore unless it's a known number). Wish someone would put a "sock" in the creeps who are responsible for these nuisance calls.
Got calls for days on end from this number, came in as toll free call. They finally left a message saying they were from Discover Card fraud department and to call them back. I thought it was "phishing" and called Discover (on the #on the back of the card not the number that called me). It actually was the fraud department and someone had charged about $1,400 on the card. I told them its coming thru as Toll Free Number not Discover and they should fix this as people don't have friends named "Toll Free Number" nor is it the name of any company anyone does business with.
Have called over 12 times now, I have moved their number to my blocked list. They still call so much outgoing calls are interfered with. I will call them and throw my Discover card away soon.......

Three calls starting at 8:30 in the morning.Ending at 6 pm.
For many months, Discover Card has been calling me 3+ times per day from the following numbers:

In all cases, the Caller ID displays "UNAVAILABLE" and no message is left on my answering machine. I never answer these calls and do not understand what Discover is hoping to accomplish.
The frequency of these annoying calls has escalated dramatically in the last couple of weeks to 6+ calls per day. On August 30, Discover called me ELEVEN times in less than twelve hours; this behavior is not marketing, but outright harassment! It's gotten so bad that I have turned off the ringers on my phones and am strongly considering getting rid of my Discover Card...

The funny thing is they ask for my wife, but will not identify them selves. Even funnier you call the number back and they say this is Discover card... Morons!

Well they were on the other end when I answered this time. Sherry with Discover with a Platinum Card offer. Told her not to call anymore and she said okay and rattled off a bunch of legalese.

I get phone calls from this number at least 10 times a week in the AM and PM sometimes twice a day!
