Who Called Us

It goes like this telemarketers are just doing there jobs that their bosses give them they have no control how many of you assholes they come in contact with nor how many times you are called my advice to you all is talk to their supervisor and stop being such dicks to them they are normal americans working there to provide for their families! and them repeatedly trying to get you to get the card while you are on the line is a requirement they have to abide by direct from upper management trust me its not something they like, its more so annoying when some arrogant asshole treats you like shit and cusses you out for just doing your job and you are not allowed to say shit back. Grow the Fuck UP!

They call every day. If I'm here they ask for personal info. If not they leave no message. I told them to stop but they called 2 times after that.

These jerks blow up my phone every day three times a day. At 9:11 a.m., 1:15 p.m., and 4:15 p.m. I never answer and they never leave a message. I do NOT have a discover card and never have. So if it is them I am sick of their harrassment.

they have called before in the past, and I am bothered. The ask for someone who no longer resides at this number.

Discover are bums! They call my house several times a day too! But they are also using the number 866-402-1043, SNEAKY! Once you have told them to put you on the Do Not Call list, depending on your State, you can turn them in for every call(take pic of Caller ID) and or save messages,etc....every State is different, but Federal Law is still all the same! If everyone was to turn them in that they harrass, maybe they would get fined so much money, they'd finally get the HINT!

This website has answered my biggest question. I have a list of numbers, they are all referenced here. I think that it is time we all remind our carriers, in my case Verizon, that I pay for a srvice. This is their problem, not ours. If they can't solve it, it will be awfully lonely at Verizon or whereever. The numbers that harass me are: 800-862-4187, 800-840-9202, 813-840-3045, 647-283-7553 and 866-402-1041. That list is just for today! We can get rid of these maggots, I am going to do my part. I started with the FCC, next its Verizon. Good luck to all of my fellow sufferers.

We've received over a dozen calls in 3 days time. Called Discover customer service and they confirmed it's one of their numbers. Took our number off the list upon request. Hope this stops these annoying calls.

This is a fishing call, these guys are FRAUDS do not pick the call up from them.

I only answer identified calls. I'm on the do not call list, too.

This is a workaround for the recent "Do Not Call" laws. Telemarketers will call with a number that shows up in the Caller ID as toll-free. They won't leave a message or speak because it's a computer. When you call the toll-free number because eventually most people will out of curiosity, a recording will try and connect you to a sales rep who will try and sell you something. Because technically you called them, they aren't violating the "Do Not Call" laws. Bunch of worms - nothing better to do than dream up new ways to harass people for a buck, instead of going out and earning an honest day's pay.

5 rings, no message left

They called 7 times yesterday. I did call and cancell my discover. I told them I did not want any offers to make money for them. They said it can take up to 8 weeks to take you off. I told them not to call my house again. I doubt it will work.

These folks call me several times a day and never leave a message. I finally turned my ringer off. Weekends, nights, it does not matter the time or day...

I get these several times a day and I answer and they said my husbands first name only and I said do I sound like Scott? Then they hung up. Today I answered again a different caller and they asked to speak to Scott and I told them he does not live here I believe I have used this one before. It is getting old.

This unrelenting nuisance! Three times in a few hours, and of course, no message on machine.

I get calls every 3 or so days, during the day, at night, my kids don't pick up if it isn't anyone we know, but it is truly annoying! I have a list of numbers of calls I get every single day, including Sunday!

Keeps calling and I picked up they just hung up on me! I called Discover and they told me that they can't help me if I do not have an account with them. Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

It's Discover, not a phisher. I called Discover's official customer service #, they did a look-up for the number, and she said that it was indeed from their marketing department. She took me off the calling list afterwards, thank goodness--they call almost every day and wake up my fiance (he works third shift and certainly doesn't want to deal with telemarketers while he's trying to sleep).

There was a message on our voicemail. It was someone just breathing...I checked into the number because it was very weird and annoying!!!!

Every 2 or 3 days I get a call from someone there. They say they're from Discover Card calling about a new miles card and want to verify my address and ask all sorts of questions about if I own or rent, how much I pay per month, and all sorts of things a normal discover card operator wouldn't need to be asking - definitely a phishing expedition if you ask me.

I have an unlisted number. We keep receiving calls. If I don't answer they leave no message. If I answer they hang up. I don't own a discover card.

They asked for Mr. or Mrs. Fischer I told them they had the wrong number.

leaving a message on my answering machine. When I returned the call a recorded message saying that Discover Card had recently tried to contact me about an exciting offer and to hold for a customer
rep.

I get these calls daily and never answer....I finally picked up to politely ask who was calling and they hung up on me. Surely they want to sell something....why not talk when asked a simple question.

They have called me once a day since Thursday 1/11/07. I never answer though.

Person calling said they are calling regarding my Discover card, but I dont have a discover card. I called Discover (1-800-discover), the rep said 866-402-1041 is not a number Discover uses, so suspect Phishing.

866-402-1041 belongs to the ever pathetic Discover Card. They call once a night, same time at 8:37pm since the first week of January 2007. If reporting them to the Do-Not-Call Registry won't work, then just let the answering service deal with them, period! It'll be a waste of time and money for Discover. They must've a better way of discovering or communicating with people who may be interested. Am not!

Two calls a day from Discover for the last couple weeks. Most times the first three 'hellos' don't get a response and I hang up. They got an ear full from me

They called today.

I finally picked up, after several calls per day every day for a week, and it was indeed Discover. I have a Discover Card, so its not a violation, but it incredibly obnoxious. I had them take me off of their calling list.

They have been calling me for about a month now. Every day. I think it is discover though. I guess the 'Do Not Call' registry means nothing to them.

These a--holes call at least six times per day for the last couple of weeks.

This is a repeating caller. Thankfully I'm using Voicepulse (voicepulse.com) so I add them to my call filter. All future calls go straight to voicemail. Of course, they never leave one.

No one answered when I said "Hello".

It's a daily thing. If it's Discover, I guess I can't turn them in since I have a Discover card.
