How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Caller left brief message that was barely audible. I have reviewed it about a dozen times and the message repeatatively sounds like "I'll kill ya", but in a software raspy voice. It's possible the person was whispering to somebody else and just happened to sound like "I'll kill ya".
I've had multiple missed calls from this number and never have a message left and can't call them back, it just rings and rings.
This is infoUSA and they are refusing to obey the DO NOT CALL or the FCC rules for telemarketing, even when a supervisor is contacted.
Government should shut them down. Infor USA is making harassing phone calls beyond hours and after 40 calls they will not stop.
Simply call 1-800-404-2464 and ask to be remove from their list and they will do so gratiously. They do market research only no selling.

Answered the phone and they hung up...bunch of cowards. If you use Shaw VOIP you can block calls from specific numbers and this one was just added to mine. So long and good bye.

They've called at least a dozen times over the past week, but nobody was on the line until today. The first thing that the agent said was "Please don't hang up, I'm not trying to sell you anything!" I guess they get a lot of that. Why am I not surprised? :-P
Anyway, she wanted me to participate in a survey. I said no, and asked to be removed from their phone database. She said that she would do so. We shall see.
Whew! Finally got some action on this. I called the Edmonton phone number
(1-780-423-0708). The receptionist was vague when I called, so I asked to speak to the person in charge and she said she would put me thru to the VIP, Barry Davis. I told him I wanted my phone number placed on his do not call list. He assured me it would go out to every project across the board. If I still get calls in a few days, I will be calling Mr. Davis again.
This is a Canadian market research company. If/when they call, just ask/tell them to place you on their corporate "Do Not Call" list. As a reputable company, they should comply without any complaint.

They have called many, many times, never leaving a message and no one is ever at the other end when answered. The last time they called, I picked up and a man was actually at the other end. Said he was conducting a poll with Leger Marketing. From Wikipedia:

For such a large company, they are extremely annoying.
