Who Called Us

I am very tired of getting calls from this number. They call at least 5 times a day.

A new record from these morons, 18 calls in two days!!! I blocked the number, let em call....

Total harrassment--------Does the "Do Not Call List" include 800 & 866 numbers???

Calls come in 7 days a week, three times a day. 10:30 am, 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm. They do not leave messages and will not stop calling although I've repeatedly asked them to. Calls register on my ID as "toll free call". SO annoying! I am registered on the do not call list and they still call every day! Just filed a complaint at donotcall.gov.

Calls several times a day. Answered one at 4pm, the lady was spieling something in Spanish, I guess.. I couldn't understand her. Our surname is Italian, but it has a common hispanic name for the first 8 letters
(out of 10) and we've gotten mail assuming that we're Hispanic (Spanish literature with no English version), but we're as American as the President is.

calls in cycles. for a few months calls a few times a day constant. never leaves message.

Recognized number from checking here before. Answered and got a guy saying from Discover card, and if I listened to the speel they wouldn't call back. Said OK, and he wanted to record. Immediately started in with 'covereage if disabled for 24 mths, etc, etc' and when I said hold on, I'm not agreeing to any changes, additions or anything to my account, they hung up without a good bye, sorry to bother you, or anything. Just a hang up.

I get the Discover calls 2-5 times a day. Never leaves a message and no one speaks. I have called the customer support number twice to be taken off their calling lists, got 3 calls earlier today and just got another call 5 mins ago. I will cancel the card tomorrow.

I called back. Yes it was Discover card trying to sell me payment protection in case of disability or hardship. I explained that I have a zero balance and why would I want to pay for them to cover a zero balance. Please remove me, thanks. I don't answer 'out of area' calls, if they won't leave a message don't call.

This goes back a couple of years when I received daily calls for about 3 months, same thing, no message. Finally I called back, it was Sears, they wanted to tell me the extended warranty on my 27" tv was going to end on 6/10, did I need any service on it? Of course by this time it was 6/30. If the idiots had simply left a message I could have had the TV fixed under warranty. I was furious. No more Sears for me.

They have been calling twice a day for a couple of weeks now. I finally answered once and it was dead air, so they are using an autodialer. I didn't wait for someone to get on the line and start their pitch.

They call; you pick up the phone and say hello several times; finally, with no response you hang up in disgust. I'm tired of it. I wish they'd just quit calling. If they must call, then respond or leave a message.

A quick menu makes you enter the last 4 of your discover card, the last four of your social sec number, and your zipcode. Then you can opt out of their 3rd party and corporate affiliate offers.

It's automated and only takes a minute to opt out.

I got a new Discover card less than a month ago, and this number 8662906227 keeps calling me

Finally answered to find out who it was calling. Wanted to sell me a service. Interrupted and told not interested, they picked right up on their spiel. I again told them I was not interested. They were very polite and thanked me for taking the call and then stopped after the second time I told them I was not interested.

As suggested by many replies here, I opted out by phoning Discover in July and running through the voice menu to the opt-out portion. I had one blessed month of silence, then...bang...they are again phoning day and night, night and day... Since Do Not Call apparently does not apply to these $#@% pests, I can only hope they'll finally give up. What to do...and I PAY for my phone service so these idiots can abuse it!

Yep, it is Discover. They continue to call every day several times...If I say no, it will start again next month from the beginning. Calls start around 9am and continue until mid day.

They keep calling. I just let it go to the answering machine. They hang up on it.

This was the annoying call received from this number-"May I speak to John Doe. May I speak to John Doe.Are you there John Doe? Do you know who I am? I'm try to tell you this is who I am. I am Kevin. You need to get on the phone and talk to me yes you do so we can discuss what I'm trying to talk to you about. We need to discuss the situation that I'm trying to talk to you about. That's right Mr. Doe. I'm just trying to see how you're doing. So pick up the phone and tell me how you're doing" WHAT THE HECK KIND OF SALESPERSON IS THIS?!?

Never answer. My phone service is from Broadvoice, a VoIP service provider. They have a call feature called Call Forwarding Selective. Now I've got set it up so that when I get a call from 866-290-6227, it's forwarded back to them. Technology can be good!!!!

These people call constantly. I am on do not call, but constantly keep calling.

Man, these people call all of the time, one right after the other. Business must be slow! THANKS to previous reporters of this number, I went to the Discover Privacy toll-free number (800-225-5202) and opted out of all offers. Hopefully, this will put a stop to the irritating calls...

Received many, many of these annoying calls, and hangups leaving No Messages. I called Back and they did answer as Discover card. I gave THEM MY # AND TOLD THEM TO ELIMINATE MY NUMBER FROM THEIR CALING LIST. THEY TOLD ME,They WOULD. ANY OTHER PROBLEM CALL 1 800 DISCOVER.Pain the Behind. These harassing calls should NOT be allowed.

After reading some of the comments, I decided to call back and ask to be removed from their list and stop the calls I've been getting not 7 days a week for 3-4 weeks. It was answered by a FAX!

Discover Card calling about payment protection services. Press 1 during message and you get a live operator. I asked why they're calling (payment protection plan) and then asked they stop. Very friendly, but we'll see if they stop calling. Said it could take 30 days to be removed from lists.

"Randall" claimed to be from Discover card, told me they were mailing me information about protection coverage, then kept yammering. I requested to be removed from their internal DNC list. He said "I'll do that when we're through here." I said, "We're through" and hung up.

Got one call yesterday from this number and one call today. Was curious who was calling, so checked this site. I also don't answer calls that come up as unavailable, etc. on caller ID, and hate it when they don't leave a message and just keep calling. But I plan to call the number back and tell them to remove my number from the list. By the way, I do have a Discover Card so they can call even tho I'm on the DNC list.

These people called me early in the morning and hung up.Then they called later in the day..next time they call im gonna tell them i'm going cancel the card!

call back the number, choose option #1 and asked to be removed from call list, the representative was very polite and promply enter my number into their system and explain it takes 8 weeks or so.

I do have a Discover card, but, man! This number calls multiple times a day and evening, sometimes 8-9pm, and weekends.

Discover Card - I finally answered after many calls from this number. Wondering if any of the others who got that info actually have a Discover Card or have done any business with Discover in the past? I'm on the DNC Registry but since I have a Discover Card I figured that meant they would still be able to call me since, technically, I do "business" with them already. I did tell the caller that if they had any additional products or services to offer me they could sent them in writing via the USPS, otherwise, I wasn't interested. Of course they already send me unwanted offers in the mail 4-5 a month anyway.

Calling 3-4 times a day between 8:00am and 7:00PM! They are driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT is Discover Card and they are very annoying. I'm calling them back and letting them know to remove me or else!

This is the second number from Discover calling me. I think I'm getting 3 or 4 calls a day total. It's ridiculous! They never leave a message.

It's Discover Card. Called at 9:00 on a Saturday and at least once a day during the week.

I have a home office with a business telephone line. They call everyday at 4:00pm. I don't answer calls from numbers that hide thier name as "Unavailable" or "Unknown"... they never leave a message.

Who ever this is call several times a day. The donotcall list is a joke. I still get numerous calls a day.

They said Discover Card Services, Credit Card Protection. I asked that they remove me from their list. They obliged saying it can take 8-10 weeks. They also asked for name and address so I hung up.

Discover Card - if you call this number back, it will say they tried to reach you concerning a product or service you might be interested in.

Pretty annoying, they could at least leave a msg.
