Who Called Us

a minimum of two calls a day, several days in a row. I believe they are a 3rd party rep for our local newspaper, the Peoria Journal Star, which we no longer subscribe to....and after all the harassment and nasty comments made by these people, we will never subscribe to again. Have asked to be taken off their list, was actually told no. Have asked for them not to call again....was told that we would be called back, maybe even that day.
I have filed a complaint with the FCC...will this work? Not holding my breath
Have also put the big wigs in charge at our local newspaper that they are now on notice and every time we receive a phone call from this number I will file another complaint. Will this work? Probably not.

I answered and it was from the Fls. Times-Union newspaper asking if I had taken care of my renewal or rather have you paid your bill? Yes you cashed the check and it cleared the bank.

Calls repeatedly, I answerd to no response multiple times. Finally they said for Sun Newspaper. I said I don't get it and would like taken off their list. They just hung up and called again. What is wrong with their business model that they think that anyone would do business with people who harass and show no business ethics. I'm allowed to not deal with jerk organizations! How Unprofessional!

This company calls me 2-3 times a day! They hang up within seconds of the ring. I have called back and left my number for them to not call me! This is sooooo annoying.

I've received several calls from this number over the last few months, which began shortly after I cancelled my subscription to The Charlotte Observer. (How about when I say "cancel" I MEAN CANCEL!) I don't believe the company calling IS The Charlotte Observer, just a telemarketer that calls on behalf of them. I reported these calls twice (today was the latest) to the DoNotCall.gov complaint page. I also called The Charlotte Observer directly and told them I am on the DNC list, but that I still continue to receive calls. They said they would call the agency and tell them to remove me from the list.

You would think not answering the calls would stop them, but it does not. I don't like to answer for reasons like:

1) now they know a person exists at that number,
2) the tricks some of these telemarketers play to get you to say the word "yes" so they can claim you agreed to get the subscription.

I am hoping this will be the end of these calls. My suggestion would be that if you know the name of the company of a subscription that you have recently cancelled, call the company directly as I did.

selling a local newspaper

Normally, I let the machine pick up when I don't recognize a number but I was on another call so they took me by surprise and I answered it. Whoever they hired for telemarketing was a bit of an idiot. She didn't seem sure of what she was doing. Finally told me that she was calling for a local newspaper and I nearly bit her head off for interrupting my call. Now that I answered a phone call, they will probably call me around the clock. Woe is me!!!!!

The person left the following message on the answering machine: (Pardon the language, but this a direct quote.) "Hullo......Hullo.....I gotta piss." Then they hung up.

They call all the time, and I have not answered because it is my cell phone. They call late in evening, early in the am . I have called them back and told them to remove my number, they havent done so, this has been going on for months and months now.

I receive calls a couple of times a month from these people. They ask for my wife and when I ask who is calling, they hang up. What happened to the do not call option that I signed up for?

they woke me up this am and hung up before I answered. I have called them before and left message to not call and apparently that only confirms my number! they have a line in their message that it may be from your local paper. If so, will cancel all papers.
perhaps calling them every hour will get them the message.

This is a marketing tool for telemarketers. The call is pooling the best times that we are most likley to pick up the phone. How they get cell phone #'s mixed in who knows. If is your cell your get chaged for one minute every time you pick up.

Get about 3 or 4 calls a week from whoever this is...

get several calls a day from this number. all hang ups. it stopped for about a month or so then starts again.

I receive a call about once a week from them. Everytime I answer, the phone disconnects. I call the number back and no one ever answers....just a recorded message from Impact Sales Solutions asking me to leave a message if I want to be removed from there calling list

three calls form this number in one hour. All were hang-ups. The info. said: Name: Unknown (866) 239-9352

I get 5-6 calls a day from them on my cell. when i call the # back it says to leave a message to be removed from the calling list which i have done about 10 times. the calls stop for about 2 weeks and then they start calling again. if i answer then they just disconnect.

If you call it back and wait for the answering machine to pick up, you can leave your name and the number(s) that you want to have REMOVED from their lists. It says it may take up to two weeks to take them completely out of all the databases. We'll see!

I work graveyard shift (11p-7a) and starting a few days ago, I have been getting calls from ISS bout 3 times a day. Anywhere from 8a-noon inturrupting my sleep. The most annoying part is I cannot get in contact with anyone to tell them to stop calling.

These people keep calling my cell phone number! I have left SEVERAL messages asking them to stop calling, but they call several times a week. If I call and ask them to stop calling my number, they call more. My cell phone number is on the DO NOT CALL list, but that doesn't stop them. Who the hell are these people? How can I get them to stop calling me? I don't think it's fair that my only option might be to change my number.

I get calls from this place everyday. Finally called the number back and it goes to a recording for "Impact Sales Solutions" you can leave a message and have your name removed from the calling list.

Said they were calling in behalf of a local newspaper in pa. Hung up. Called yesterday same number for a different newspaper. Registered for the do not call list yesterday. Yes , these ppl are annoying but what fun it is to tell them off when ur having a bad day.

Impact Sales Solutions for the Scranton Times Tribune. Funny, I don't live in Pennsylvania, yet they still call me repeatedly to sell me a newspaper from some run down city in the coal mines.

They have been calling almost every day now and hanging up when I answer. ARRGH!
