I have been getting calls from this number randomly. I believe it is from Allied as there is no message left. They started AFTER I made payment arrangements and started payment for a medical debt. Go figure!

You're hearing abandoned calls from a predictive dialer, Kim. The FCC likes to see no more than 03% of such calls dropped. You can go with some blocking routine, but you give up your FDCPA rights by not sending AI a cease-comm notice via USPS Certified with card. I have been getting daily calls from this number. Usually I let the answering machine pick it up, but this week I decided to answer so I could tell them to STOP calling. But, each time I answer, there is just dead air. I keep expecting a live person to call back, but they never do. So, after seeing this web site, I decided to CALL THEM. They answered ALLIED INTERSTATE and this time I HUNG UP. I will be contacting my phone company to block the number.

I'm receiving 4-5 calls daily from this number. No messages, only constant harrassment.

I found out not only is this company allied interstate, which is a collection agency -- it is also iQor, inc.which does have a website. The CEO is Vikas Kapoor. George, where has the attention span of consumers gone? ALL of your broad questions have been addressed in this very thread in the past three months. I understand your frustration, but complaining into dead space and waiting for a rescuer is pointless.

To your one specific question, debt accounts are traded in huge bundles. The more they are passed around the more corrupt account data can become. There are too many reasons to list why some total stranger several states away could be linked to you, but this is a fairly common problem in the collections industry, as is the willingness of agencies to accept hush money from anyone who answers.

I get this message and a live person looking for a Debbie (Deborah) Osborn who lives in Carroll County Maryland so why are they trying to communicate with her through the use of my private Maine telephone number? I told them if they call me again I will see them in court for harassment. So what is wrong with the "Do Not Call" System where we all sign up for. Where are the fines for these companies who harass consumers??? Where does one get help in going after even the "Do Not Call System for failing to do their jobs...how about fining them for allowing these people and companies to get away with these abuses......

Recd 4 calls in the past day from Allied - I called them back and they were looking for a different person. I told them they were calling a private unlisted cell phone and that they have the wrong number - the rep. stated he would remove us from their call list. He was very polite and didn't give me any problems. We'll see if they call back!

Allied Interstate has been quite busy hustling and shaking down alleged debtors recently, to judge from the rise in consumer complaints. In October 2010 the FTC put AI on the hook for $1.75 million, the second largest fine the debt industry has seen, for chronic violation of the FDCPA. Allied execs must reckon they should pay their bill with your money instead of theirs.

Also A: Debt collectors must answer to privacy rules within the FDCPA. You're not the target, they can't talk to you except to skip trace. It's about the only consistently followed rule, as being shadowy works in their favor to make call targets anxious. The phrases "important business matter", "personal matter", and variants thereof are common indicators of a debt collector.

They called. Ask for my husband by his first name. I said he couldn't come to the phone and could I take a message (shouldn't have said that since that verified his name w/ our number). They said when will it be a good time to call? I asked who was calling. They said it was a business. I told them if they couldn't tell me what I wanted then I couldn't tell them what they wanted and hung up.

They called back an hour later. Same lady (with an accent ... I think she said her name was Maria). Asked for him again by his 1st name. I asked who was calling. She said it was a personal matter and she would call back. I hung up (but, should have asked to be placed on the "do not call list"). Serously doubt it is debt collectors as we have no debt to collect.

Called tonight 10/13 at 9:41 pm, come on we have 2 small kids, I was not friendly this time. Calls happen daily now, I thought Do Not Call List prevented this nonsense.

This company harrases..they call all the time, we called back and explained this is a wrong number, I have many times filed a complaint with the no call registry. So far after 2 weeks, nothing done.

called and played the same music that ATT plays on their phone messages but nothing else ha I am smart enough to not answer 800 type numbers and let my machine get it....I knew I had no reason for ATT to call me some kind of scam I am sure I have no business with these people..

This number was calling 5-6 times a day a few months ago until I answered and threatened to turn them in for calling a do not disturb number. A few times that I did answer the phone there was people in the background but nobody on the line. The last time was a foreign guy. The calls had quit until yesterday and I am furious. Got a call at 5:30 AM from these people. Show up a bunch in my call history logs, but I've never been around to answer before. They called my home number that I never use and have had for over a year and a half looking for a Laura. Called them back 1/2 hour later, no answer first call, woman with Indian accent picked up second call, told her I'm not Laura, she said she would take me off the list. Hung up on her while she was still talking. Scumbags.

Received calls from morning till late evening from this number averaging 6-8 calls per day. No Caller ID information. When I answer the phone I say "Hello?" and they hang up without saying a word.

My suggestion to everyone, since this is a toll-free number, is to download and use Skype, through which you can call toll-free numbers without purchasing Skype credit. Then call and harass these allied interstate bastards to your heart's content, as they will have no way of tracing the call.

I receive calls from 755 am till 2100 everyday from this company. As a debt collection company, it would be nice of them to let you know who they are collecting for, and what you actually owe. Instead they put you on hold as soon as you answer the phone, or hang up!!

I have been getting these same calls too! I've been getting called at least 2 times daily from this number for at least 6 months. I have no outstanding bills. All that I ever hear is silence. I just hang up on whom ever it is after the second time I say hello and there is no answer back. Very annoying though..

I am so tired of this company They are repeatedly calling for someone I've never heard of and we've had this number for about 5 years. They call 3 times a day and say nothing when I answer. They start at 8am on weekends too.; my husbands works nights so this is too early in the morning for him. It's ridiculous. I called back the number 5/29 and the rude b*tch on the phone asked for my "Capital One" account number. I told her I want the calls to stop. She said she will remove me. I called 5/30 because I got 3 more calls and didn't know it could take 48 hours to be removed. That woman told me I just put my number back in their queue again. REALLY. On what grounds. I don't have anything from Capital One. My name is nothing close to the person they're asking for. So if I put my name and number back in the system, how do they know who I am? Idiot! The calls stopped...so I thought. Today they've called 3 times, now...2 hours apart and they don't even say anything. I've registered it with the do not call site but it's not going to do anything. There's no way around these annoying phone calls! And they're not even for me.

These A-holes will not respond when I answer the phone and then they hang up. When I call the number back they just say thank you for calling and don't give the name of their business unless you give then a hard time. This morning (05-26-10), I received a call from this number - 866-235-3868. My Caller ID displayed the words "Out of Area" and the telephone number. It was a missed call because I didn't get to the phone in time. In a search of the internet numerous sites identify the caller as Allied Interstate Inc. in Minneapolis, MN.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format. I provide the date, time of the call, what Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one on my voice mail. I have decided to let the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls.

These companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on. Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.

If more people would complain, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers. The FTC does not act on one complaint alone. It takes many reports before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.

when I answered it was a male with an east indian accent,refused to leave a message,or explain what his business was with my wife,"i will call back".asked for return number,what is his business is and I would have my wife call him back,he refused to give me a number,or explain why he was calling so I told him to not call here again,and if he did we would be meeting face to face in court.

These people have been calling me as well, non-stop, and at all hours and every day including Sundays. They're calling my cell phone number, and I was suspicious and decided to check them out online. What I haven't learned however, is how can I block this caller on a cell phone...anyone got any ideas?

Received a call from this number at 10:20 in the evening. The only reason I answered was because it was so late and I'm always paranoid about something happening with family members or friends. Normally I don't answer unidentified calls. When I picked up the phone and said hello, I got the ringing of a telephone on the other end and then someone answered and said "Hello?" like they were the one receiving the call. I just received a call from phone #866-235-3868. I didn't hear an answer when I said hello, so I called back and was questioned about my name etc. I said I wanted to know who was calling me and was told Allied Industry. I told them not to call me again. I am on the Do Not Call List but it doesn't seem to do much good. This call came in on Sunday at 8:00 pm which is annoying. Since the Do Not Call List doesn't seem to prevent these frequent annoying calls, I've ordered a gadget called EZ Hang up, which will give these callers a message that says something like, "I'm sorry, but calls of this nature are not accepted, etc". I can't wait to use it. There is another gadget which will actually block calls but it is more expensive.

I get 4-5 phone calls a day on my cell some are only a couple of minutes apart and several on my home phone (not sure how many as my caller ID only keeps the last time stamp) each day, even got about 3 between the 2 phones on Easter Sunday. I don't answer them, because when I did the first couple of times I either got nothing or someone in the background laughing. Try calling back from a payphone that will really confuse them. I do like giving them the FBI hotline number that someone else suggested. They are very annoying. Thanks for the other numbers I recognize them as well. Living in Alaska sometimes these calls come as early as 6 am.

They call pretty much every day, at early hours of the day. They give no company name, until asked, then they said that it is "Allied Interstate" and they immediately ask if I had received a call from them. They never leave a message either! We have no outstanding debt. and are not a member of any book club, as others have mentioned. We told them not to call any more.

How can I avoid those calls?

Debt collection agency that will not cease calling me, my boyfriend, his home etc. They will not accept that I am now disabled, unemployed and will not be returning to work. I have an ongoing appeal with SSD regarding my disability case, and I will not borrow money from anyone to pay this or any other debt as I will never be able to repay any outstanding debts, so I will not incur others. As far as I know, the only way to make this stop is by sending a certified letter with specific language to the agency, "How to stop debt collectors Cold" has information about how to do this, free.
I am having PTSD episodes due to the nature of the debt collecting attempts, sometimes up to 20 calls per day are made to me. I have changed numbers, turned off my phone, tried to call back and received "not in service" when I try. I will never be able to work again, I live in poverty, receive only food stamps and cannot imagine what kind of scum these people must be to take these jobs, I would scrub toilets before working as a debt collector! They have been hostile, ignore what I say and pursue collection without any hope of ever getting any money from me. I am a cripple! No cash! Nothing, not even bus fare do I have, so they need to stop harassing me and others. Eventually, the debt will be written off by the company to whom money is owed, it is just a waiting game, and the calls from debt collections get passed on to other, more sleazy agencies, as time goes by. They have no ethics at all. If I had any money I would likely buy shoes without holes in them, or buy toilet paper. No money for these creeps. I am destitute, they don't listen and they yell obscenities at me when I try to talk to them. I have blocked my number when calling them, yet they have some way of unblocking it, they know the number I call from, so from now on I will use a pay phone. eventually the debt will disappear, if one can just wait it out. I did not receive any help from the stimulus package or from the bank bailout, why should I help the corporation big-wigs to receive millions of dollar in bonuses? No one has helped me, I am just one of thousand of people who are in this position, without much hope, and these creeps would push me off a bridge if they could. I have bled all I can, and I cannot ever pay these bills, mea culpa, mea culpa, I am sorry I thought I would be able to, I did not anticipate becoming disabled. Caller had the strangest accent I've ever not been able to understand. I finally asked for a supervisor who spoke better English, and got a snotty woman who asked for my daughter's ex-husband's brother. ????? I told her I had no idea where this kid might be, but gave them his mother's home and work numbers. Let her deal with it for a change. This kids owes everybody in the world, and he gave out our number as a reference, so I get lots of calls on him. This one, however, was the worst and the most difficult with which to deal.

This number calls my house non stop asking for a Ms.Woods. NOBODY by that name lives at my address. I have never heard of the woman. When you tell these idiots that they have the wrong # they then preceed to say that "By law I have to inform you of this" WHAT? You have the wrong number you moron.

These people have been calling constantly for at least 2 weeks, more than 8 times a day from 8:30 AM to 8:45 PM. We called the number back PERSONALLY and were answered by an "Indo-glish" person. We demanded they take us off their listing and after some back and forth on whether or not they actually knew the number that they were calling, they agreed to stop calling us. What happens next morning? They call. This is ridiculous and there needs to be some sort of way to get this "company" arrested for harassment. Enough is enough.

I've explained to them each time that I am Jenn G****** But not the Jenn G***** that they are looking for The preson the are looking for had a NY address I have never lived in NY. They call my Work, Mty Cell & have now statred calling my parents house. I called the # and they said they were a financial institution (?) looking for what turned out to be my ex-husband's ex-wife, the woman he had married & divorced after me, over 20 years ago. I asked them to remove my # and advised them that they had the wrong #. We'll see.

Have received repeated calls from this company. When answering phone there is never anyone there. When I call them all they say is they are a financial agency. Have tried to be nice, but 8-10 calls a day to my cell phone is getting ridiculous. I have asked them repeatedly not to call. I filed a FTC report. When they called last I informed them that I filed a complaint with the FTC and that they are in violation of FDCPA Section 806 items 5 and 6 and Section 804 item 3. This has so far seemed to stop the calls. Will see if it works or not.

I would like to find the 'tard who keeps calling my number. For the past week, this number has called me three times on a daily basis while I was in school. To add to my frustration, this phone call interrupted a photo I was uploading on Facebook.

This number called us at 5:17 am, waking me, my husband and our baby up. We just moved and just has this phone hooked up two days ago, so i know it is a wrong number but seriously, what are they doing calling anyone at that hour?

These a-holes called me 4 times today, and hung up each time the answering machine answered. When I answer myself and say hello, there is no one on the other end. I get calls from them 7 days a week. I even got one on Christmas and again on New Years days. Clearly there is a computer dialing whether anyone is there to talk to you or not. I like the idea of getting hundreds calling their number at the same time. That would be fun.

They call my work phone just about every day. I don't have anything in collections. Even when I answer it's total silence.

Same thing. Got a call tonight from Allied Interstate looking for my brother who I can only assume must have put my number down on something. On the other hand, several people here seem to have had the same experience of these "people" calling for a relative. Do debt collectors have some way of tracing relatives of the debtors they are pursuing, or am I right to assume that my brother messed up and gave the wrong person my number?

(866) 235-3878 seems to be a collection agency in India chasing debters in the US. I see about 20 calls from them on my mobile; I called it and the English-challenged fellow claimed that they're looking for someone else, and that they'll remove my number from their list. They're actually very polite on the phone, in a goofy sort of way. We'll see if the calls stop.


One workaround is to record a few second of silence in Garage Band, then import it to your phone as a ring-tone, and assign it to these nuisance numbers.

Aside from that, here are some tricks:

---Pretend you're who they want, and ID the pathetic creditor that hires a collector in India, and go after him. Tell him your mom died of some bad Chicken Tikka back in 'Nam.

---Get a few hundred people lined up from a site like this and arrange a time to call them, taking all their free lines. Bad for the bottom line.

---Register a change of phone number to that of the DMV.

---Ask them how much to send in, and ask for an address, and promise to pay. It's not likely to end the game, but if you're enjoying the game, why not?

---Claim you're the parent of the person they're looking for, and that your child has just died of cancer less than an hour ago.

---Tell them you're on death row and that the guards won't let you use a pen to write checks.

I have had 3 calls from this number - 1 this evening (March 5) and 2 yesterday morning (March 4) on my cell. The first 2 went to voice mail - but there was no message. The one tonight I answered but no one responded. I then called the number back and spoke to a woman with a strong accent who was difficult to understand. I asked why they were calling this number and not speaking when I spoke. She apologized and asked me if I was Tiffany Wolfer or knew a Tiffany Wolfer. I am not and do not and told her so. She then gave an address and asked if this was that address and I said, no. She apologized and said she would remove the number from their list. I have had this number for 7 years now - and have never had a call for a Tiffany - or anyone else for that matter. So, call the number back and you may be able to get it straightened out.

This is becoming very annoying.I refuse to answer any calls form this nu,mber. There should be a law to stop this calling from this and oher numbers.

I received a call and there was no one on the line. I called it back and a person answered saying "This is Mary Anne at Allied Interstate" I asked what Allied Interstate was she told me "We are a diversified financial services company." Then asked if I received a call on (and ststed my phone number) I said yes and she said "I am very sorry we have no information on that number, it must have been an error."

I asked what kind of services they provide, she said "WE ARE A COLLECTION AGENCY."

Called 4 times in one hour and left no message. I have no debts and really hardly anyone knows my number, so I have no reason to answer an 866 number. But they continue to call.

I have received phone calls from this number several times. Today they called and I happenned to be home, however when I answered, all I got was silence.(It reminded me of life with my x wife). All the caller ID showed was the phone number and that is was a toll free call.

I never answer 866 phone calls but this one came at 10:00 at night and I was upset so I answered it. They asked for my worthless POS brother's girlfriend, whom I cannot tolerate. We are not friends, we have never lived together, and she was NEVER given permission to use my name. My brother doesn't even have my phone # because he is a worthless POS, as mentioned above. The woman, who had a very heavy accent, asked me to take a message and I said, uh no, because she is a horrible horrible person and I never want to look at her or talk to her again. At any rate, bottom line, how in the heck did they get my number in conjunction with this thieving, manipulative scam artist woman!

I get repeated calls from this number at all hours of the day. I have finally gotten fed up with these kinds of calls
and I purchased an "interceptor ID" person to person caller id monitor. It lets you block ANY NUMBER you choose
it puts the call to a spare port on the unit and it never rings to your phone.
It costs a little over a $100.00 and worth every penny of it.

I've gotten a few calls and they're always looking for the same person and I always tell them they have the wrong number and ask them not to call again. Got tired of it so I told them that they just moved out and I only have their office number for them to contact. I gave them (303)825-1266 which happens to be the FBI Public Corruption Hotline. Heck, for all I know they person they're looking for works there. I haven't gotten a call back for a few days.

How about everyone answer the phone call, and give out the number of your local politician. Maybe they'll do something to stop the harassing phone calls.

This # is a Collections Agency. When ppl have outsatnding debts or don't pay certain bills, the company owed sells your informatin to companies like this one, Allied Interstate. Then AI tries to collect the money and make you pay. They will be extremely RUDE and say whatever they want because they have nothing to loose. No one will fire a collections angency employees because their job is to collect the debt. My suggestion would be to not pick up the call. And if it's a cell phone save the number and write "don't pick up". = )

I got a call asking for my sister-in-law her last name is differnt from mine. But they rambled my # and gave her address??? I have no idea so I gave them her # to call and they said they would not call again

Allied Interstate called my phone number asking if I was related to someone I didn't know. They refused to believe me that I was not related to the person and insisted that they speak to them. I explained to them that it is a cellphone they are calling and they are wasting my minutes and I would like them to be taken off their calling list, they said because they were trying to collect a debt that they could not take me off, they were very rude and insisted to talk to a person that I don't know. I think this is a phishing scheme.

im a military service member. stationed in iraq. we just got a new number and since then my wife has been getting calls from these homos. ever since. if i can find a number for these idiots i can tell them if they call again. they will be brought up on criminal charges for fellony harassment. if they persist they will be shut down. i have had to do that everytime i got a new number or whatever and it works with most debt collectors

Received a call from these idiots at 5.45 am! It's disturbing! I filed complaint wit the national do not call registry! This needs to stop! LOL I just got off the phone with them. Because my last name is not what one would consider normal, they only had it partially right. They asked if they had the correct "family." I asked them who they were. The guy refused to tell me until I told him if this was the right family. He said he was from a financial institution. I responded with, "Well, if you are REALLY from a financial institution, you would have a correct name." His response. ."We don't have a first name!" I told him in very impolite verbiage exactly what he and his "financial" institution could do and where they could do it, followed by how I was going to report him to the government. He actually started apologizing!! Judging from his accent and language skills, this must be one of those outsourced places where they are trying to scam people.

I was on other line and did not take the call. When I called back to the number and asked the lady who answered what they were calling for, I was told it was a personal call for me and when I told her who she was speaking too, the lady said it was not necessary to talk to me. I asked that my number be removed and it was told to me that it was not possible since it was an automated system they use. Is this not an illegal thing?

Allied Interstate has been calling me for year. It's always a wrong number. Last time I asked them to not call me any more. It seems they've just changed to a new caller id.

I told them they had the wrong number and the Indian-accented woman told me she would take my number off the list. We'll see...

Received a call from Allied Interstate at 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning. First I received a recording stating that they were a debt collector calling to collect a debt and then a person came on the line asking for a Lynn Oster. That is not my name or anyone elses that lives here. The person stated that she would remove the number from their list, hopefully they do since I do not want to receive calls because someone else cannot pay their bills.

One call from this number (so far) - no answer, heard a few clicks and then I hung up.

He repeated my phone number then said am I talking to Janet? I said No. And he said Not Janet? I said NO. Finally he said there's not Janet there? NOOOOO!!!! So he said he'd take my number off their list and I wouldn't receive anymore calls. We'll see how well that works out!

I get several calls a day on my cell and also my work phone. Spoke with some guy with an Indian for Arabic accent and asked what company he was with, and he just said a financial institution. I an on the Do not Call list, it doesn't seem to help with this group of people.
Per other comments,these calls may be originating in a prison work program. Now that makes me warm and fuzzy inside, to know that some deviant murderer, rapist, or child molester may have my phone number.

These calls are originating from prison. The inmates that are working for this company have nothing better to do.

I get this phone call at about the same time every evening. There is never anyone on the line. I have repeatedly said hello and have gotten a dial tone after 45 seconds. Apparently their computer dialer cuts you off after a period of time. I have told them repeatedly I have had this # for over 2 years. I am always assured they will "remove my # from their records"...and I still get calls.....

I answered a call from 866-235-3868 and after saying "Hello" to a dead line four of five times and man with a very thick Indian accent came on the line. I could hardly understand what he was saying, but I know he asked for my ex-sister-in-law. I was VERY puzzled because I have been divorced for 12 years and have not talked to my ex-sister-in-law in as many years. I don't even live in that state anymore. I just told the caller that he had the wrong number and I think he said something about removing my number. I really couldn't understand most of what he was saying.

I've started keeping track of these calls and will report them to my Attorney General. they called 2 days ago at 6:45 pm. then this morning at exactly 8:00 am waking my husband. Phoned elderly gentlemen stating a person would arrive at his home at 5pm with a package and he needed to pay that person $250. The package would contain instructions on how to receive $500 million. Police were contacted.

Phone rang and caller ID said toll free call. Answered call and all I could hear was music playing. Kind of music you would hear if you was put on hold. No lyrics, just music. Very clear Music. Any Ideas???

I've started calling them back and just taking up their time for no reason just like they do me. each one of their has call managements and handle times. Allied has also harassed my elderly father daily for MONTHS for a bogus AOL charge for an account that is actually a FREE account. It's for a $70.00 charge that he claims aol said he owes. However, AOL has verified to me that my father owes NOTHING. I have paperwork to prove it. Because of the poor integrity of this company I am posting a bill info that we finally received after months of undeserved harassments.

Check it out. There were 6 complaints that the BBB resolved recently. I am about to enter my own complaint.

I've had run ins with these assholes before. They left callback number which came up as Allied Interstate as well. Claim that call is in attempt to collect a debt. I owe no debts and the call was to my cell phone, which is used only on my bank account. Previously, these folks tried to extort money from me on a debt which had already been paid without being able to provide adequate proof of the debt. The person on the phone became hostile and hung up on me when I refused to divulge personal financial information. Company Agreed to cease and desist actions after I reported them to the BBB, then sent me a letter 90 days later offering a settlement on the SAME FAKE DEBT! Search ripoffreport.com and you'll find they are notorious for attempting collections on invalid debts.

The name and number on my caller id was 724/209-6600 and it is Allied Interstate. Be foreworned this is a real bottom-of-the-barrel collection agency. If you owe them money do yourself a favor and pay them. If not, don't talk to them, hang up and send them a cease and desist order through certified mail. If they don't stop within thirty days, file a complaint with your state's attorney general's office or consumer protection agency.

I called them back after I answered and the hung up on me. They proceed to tell me that they are a financial services company. They then proceed to give me the runaround when asked what kind of financial service company they are. I am reporting them to NYS today. I've been called 32 times by this company in the past two days.

These people are calling me looking for my ex girlfriend who walked out on me after 8 years together and she started using meth. I will make sure these people chase her forever...LOL. I hope they keep calling me because I will direct them to her forever if necessary....LOL. Bitch!
Also, on another note. for those of you that say your debts are paid in full, be aware of what are called"Ghost Debt hunters". They are companies that buy up old debts,(sometimes many years old!!!),and they try to use "strong arm" tactics to collect, so those of you who think you are paid up might think back to 5 or even 10 or more years ago and try to remember if there is anything you might have overlooked. I,personally,
wouldn't respond to these debts but I just wanted to let you know this might be the case. Be careful because the law reads that no matter how long ago the debt was incurred, if the person responds in any way the debt becomes "new" again
and the statute of limitations starts all over again. DO NOT RESPOND unless you want a 10 y/o debt that has fallen away to be renewed by your response. I know this is a "Ghost Debt" hunter because they call me asking for my ex-wife who changed her name back to her maiden name 15 YEARS AGO!!!! They ask for her by her ,then, married name!!! My ex wife and I are friends so I will not respond to those calls looking for her but as I said i will respond to those chasing the "crank bitch".....LOL. Good Luck 2 U All.

I don't think they are saying death - I listened very closely and I believe they are saying DEBT, but trying to make it sound like death. If you complain they will probably say that they were saying DEBT.

I have been getting calls like this for the last 5 years, Calling at the most unusual times immaginable,

i also started receiving calls from 614 333 8406 at all hours. thank god the number is only used for our fax machine and it has auto answer. but it eventually started making me really mad and I *69'd them and got that 614 number. i called and immediately was able to talk to someone and asked what kind of company it was (they said financial institution) and asked if there was a rashida jackson living at that number. NO! i started yelling at them and they asked if the number was connected to an address that is completely not my address and i told them to get their research straight, that they have been calling and harrassing a household at the wrong address looking for the wrong person. they said they were very sorry and had disconnected my number from the previous owner, or whatever. we will see.

i told these people to just send me the info in the mail and stop stop stop calling me. they have yet to send me info and continue to harass me. no class!

This has been going on for almost a year and I've HAD IT!! 866-235-3868 is a computer that leaves messages on my answering machine all day every day. At first I answered the calls but as soon as I'd say hello they would hang up. So I turned off the ringer and started letting them go to voicemail. The woman's recorded voice says it is Allied Interstate with an extremely urgent message for me and I should call them back as soon as possible without delay. When I called back a couple times I was on hold forever so I hung up. The calls start around 7:30 in the morning and don't stop until around 10 at night. Sometimes 20-30 calls in a day. They fill my answering machine so nobody else can leave me a message. Since I don't have any overdue bills I'm just going to disconnect my phone and get another one in my 17 yr old daughter's name. She has a different last name than me and hasn't ever had anything yet in her name. That should stop it.

This phone system calls me every other day at 7:45 am and 8:55 pm. It's a recording that says "This is a call from Allied Interstate, please call us as soon as possible..." I have called the number the bot left several times but never got a person to talk to. It's always a recording that asks me to enter my phone number, then places me on hold to "wait for the next available representative." I've been on hold for more than 20 minutes at a time before I hung up. At this point I don't care who they are or what they want. Maybe they should just mail a letter... By the way, if they are a collection agency, they shouldn't be calling me anyway. I don't owe anybody anything. My rent, electric, phone, internet & master card bills are current.

Got a call and they hung up. Have no clue what they wanted.....dont care and will keep Sara's suggestion in mind if it continues.
They called from 614-333-8420

Calls with a machine message and no way to tell them to stop. Calls everyday and sometimes 2 and 3 times in a row with the same message.

I have been getting these calls when I am sleeping and trying to get to work. They are only recordings, which I will not call back. They say I need to settle a debt, which I do not. I agree that someone needs to stop them but I don't know who to go to. I don't have any address for them or I would write them so they would have to stop.

Recorded message, does not give a name of who they're calling for, does not identify who they are, calls at least twice a day

They call me every day even on weekends,claim I owe $3,000 on credit card,debt is not on my credit report,has been taken off dont owe anything explained this to them still harrassing me,also another phone number they use is 614-333-8420 and now they are using unknown caller,just talked to them this morning I told them I dont anything he said prove it go ahead and prove it,I said prove I do.Im getting really POd about this.Thank you for having this site now I can have other numbers they may use.

Continual and repeated calls. Just like with my Email, if I don't recognize it, I don't open it. With them I don't answer their calls. As previously indicated by other victims of these telephone violators I've noticed that they apparently have many base numbers to confuse or even stop efforts to bring their quest to a complete halt.

Allied interstate 1-866-577-3917. Keeps calling our home after being told several times that the perosn they ask to talk to lives in France now. My wife has spoken to them and told them to quit calling our number. I will be recording them in them from now on.

Allied interstate is calling my home up to 10 times a day. Waking up sleeping children and enterupting dinner never saying a word. Then when they do actually speak or if they do they are rude and aggressive. I know I owe the money do they really think calling and haning up or being rude will make the money appear in my checking acct. so I can pay them? I wish! Please someone help, it is very upsetting to orecieve this many calls. When does it become harrassment?

During last 3 years they are calling my home 3-5 times a day.They want information about some body that I don't know.

These people are continually calling my home trying to collect a debt for a commercial insurance policy on a company I USED to work for. I no longer am an employee of the company, and the company itself has dissolved and is going through corporate bankruptcy with the owner going through personal bankruptcy as well. How in the world can I get them to STOP calling me?! I don't work for them anymore, so it doesn't really seem fair that I am taking the brunt of the debt collection calls.

Just listened to a message on machine from Allied Interstate. It said "This call is concerning a death, please call 800-617-5065". A DEATH...that's going low...

These idiots call me every single day at 8:30 pm or later saying that I have a bill to settle, but it's actually MY SISTER'S and they won't stop calling even though I've told them over and over again that it's not mine.

Get their address and go to the website I had listed in a previous post. Once they get a written notice to stop calling they legally have to stop. Telling them over the phone does no good. Go to the website and find out all you need to stop these calls. As an update they have not called me since I sent them the letter.

i just called the #, cussed them out, the guy says, i will make a note of that, yeah right, we will see!

we got a new # and all of the sudden these people call our house looking for someone about 4 times a day, i have told them this is the wrong # and they just keep calling!
it is really making me angry!!!!!!!!!

The constantly hang up on you when you answer the phone. It is very irritating. If they want to talk to me they need to have a real person call me and be on the phone when I answer..All times of the day and week.

I am getting calls from them as well. They are using 1-866-235-3868 and also 614-333-8406 to call me. I never answer the calls because when I do no one says anything. I am sending them a notice via certified mail return receipt to stop calling me. By law they have to stop once receiving written notification.

First we had the number 866-235-3868 calling at least once a day and now the other one. Why can't anything be done about this harassment. We are not overdue on bills, so there is not reason for someone to call us about collecting money. I am so sick of it. It takes me away from things that I need to do, only to find out it is that stupid number again. And no one ever talks!!! I am so sick of it. Isn't there anything that can be done. Maybe I should sue them for wasting my time and for harassing me day after day. I am on the no call list and figured that would take care of it, but apparantly they don't care. Sincerely, Doris O.

I am also receiving calls from 800-617-5065 on my son's phone. Claiming we owe money for "Robelle Purification". Will not send a bill and say they will put this on my credit report. Probably works to intimidate some.

I called them back and ask them to take me off their list...we'll see if that works...

They call several times a day, every day and leave a pre-recorded message that does not identify who they are but requesting we call 800-6l7-5065 "for something important to my family". It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one being harrassed.

Called a workplace (not mine; someone I know) and claimed they were "a friend". Did not give company name. Suspect they are a collector. Gave their number as: 800-701-2363. This note is for cross-reference
purposes.

A collection agency that uses many, many phone numbers so impossible to Block them. Allied Interstate. They will call any time day or night and never leave a message. Only call back they are evasive and will identify only on demand.

Yet another number they use is 800-617-5065. I think one reason they use so many numbers is to cause confusion and thus avoid penalties from being reported to the Do Not Call List. Despite this, you should report them every time. A major abuser.

Always the same recorded message usually calls every day or several times a day. Probably the most annoying service I have been harrassed by. Always blocks the number ID and caller ID, and machine waits to leave message on my machine, often before 8am or after 8pm and even on weekends, Sundays, and holidays: "Please find time..."
