How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Several calls a day for the last week or so, I let them all go to voicemail, they left this number. The first time, I called the number, the recording wanted the last 4 digits of my account number, I entered them, it then wanted the last 4 digits from my Social Security number, thats when I hung up.
Very cheerful message left on my answering machine, referred to me by name and stated it was important that I call Kimberly at 1-866-215-1862. She left no company name or reference as to what this call was about. Searching on the Internet found others reporting this number as a suspected scam. I am wary of anyone calling who does not leave a company name or reason for the call. Obviously, I am not returning the call.
Caller ID will show 623-643-2996 DISCOVER FINANC
The 866-215-1862 number was left in voice mail.
They will call 2-3 times a day. I have no idea what it is for, because they have been calling a business, and the person has been on vacation, and despite the many times I told them to document this fact in their dtabase, more calls the next day. I just lift up/hang up receiver when I see them in the caller ID.
