Who Called Us

This organization is horrible! We have received a call listed as "private caller" everyday for a week now. If I pick up and say "hello", they hang up. The other night, when I picked up, I said nothing... the person on the other end said "Cindy?"... when I said "hello", and they hung up. Still I could not find out who was calling us at all hours of the day and night. Finally, I got another call today. My wife answered and they talked with her. Yep, it was "Make a Wish Foundation".

these jerks are relentless...when they first called, the guy was rude to me, so i told him i'd never give to his charity...then they kept calling back, then hanging up..3 and 4 calls a night...i called the police, who couldn't do anything, registered again with do not call, which didn't help, then did a reverse search which says it's a land line from palatine, ill, and like the others, when i call back, it's disconnected...once they called when my kids were home from college, so they heard my tirade...a guy called, then hung up when i told him about calling the police...i kid you not, 20 minutes later, a girl calls from the same number, so i tell her how rude and annyoying they are...asked for a supervisor, then she LAUGHS at me!!! i was livid...of course she hung up, then i hadn't gotten calls since before Christmas, now they're starting again, at least twice a night, and even late on sundays...they did make up some give a kid a wish name once, and also a fake sounding vet charity as well....i guess there's small comfort seeing others are getting the same stupid calls....

This WAS my fax number for 10 years, then it got CLONED. I am sorry it was used by some criminal in this way but it absolutely was not myself or anyone in my office or connected with my practice. As a result, I have since had to change my fax number and again I am sorry for your and my own inconvenience. Dr. Robert Gerowitz

We've told them many times not to call us but they keep on calling.

Just so you know, 847 is an area code for the Elgin, Illinois area.

This number calls my house and hangs up. The phone company says it is an autodialing machine. Because it is apparently a charity, it is not part of the do not call list

Immediately disconnected when I pick up the receiver. I researched on the internet and landed here. I reported the number with donotcall.gov and would urge all of you to do the same. Hit the file a complaint button on the left hand side of their home page.

Called and when I tried to return the call they say the number is disconnected. They call at least two or three times a day during five and nine.

If you made the mistake of giving money to make a wish foundation there is a good chance they are calling you to ask for more. Unfortunatly they hang up alot and are a nuisance. Their joliet phone# is 866-255-9474

contact them and tell them to remove you from their list. They are unethical pests that do not even call with a good call back number.

They have called 3 times in 3 days. Caller I.D. says "Illinois Call". I don't answer and they never leave a message.

This is the second call from these people. The first was Saturday morning at 8:30am, and now today, Sunday at 7:50pm, when I asked them to remove my number from their calling list they just hung up on me! How rude! Obviously some type of scammer, a real charitable organization would not behave that way, or at least I would expect better behavior.

Calls and if you don't speak you stay connected. Once you say 'hello' you are disconnected or they hang-up. Call back and the number's disconnected. We get these everyday between 5:00pm and 9:00 pm.

they have been calling me from this number for the last 3 months. I call back and a recording says the number is disconnected.

They have called me four times in the past four days. Only on the last call was there someone on the line. She claimed to be calling for the Vietnam Vets. I told her to take my name off their list. With all the bogus calls now, I just contribute directly to the charities of my choice.

Don't know who this is. They hang up on my answering machine.

I have been getting this call for weeks now and they always hang up on the machine. Since it looks like this is a charity calling, I believe the Do Not Call registry does not apply to them. Next time they call I'll just have to ask them to stop calling.

Anyone that knows the name of this company should post it here. I'm pretty sure the phone number is spoofed so not too much the FTC at DoNotCall could do.

This number belongs to a paid "fundraiser for hire" I tracked them by giving them a donation, to the local FOP lodge for our county police. Now they call me about weekly, and for every cause imaginable. If you get annoying calls, from this number, go to the national do not call registry web site donotcall.govand file a complaint. I got the company name from the FOP lodge, who doesn't use them any longer, due to the large number of complaints.

I think shady organizations are using this number as a spoof. I mean they have a device that fakes out your Caller-ID when they are really calling from a different number. That's my theory anyhow.

Every time I pick-up they hang-up VERY FRUSTRATING

They called today and asked my wife if they could speak to me. When I came to the phone there was a fast busy.

This numbers call everyday. One day it was Wish Upon a Star and the next day it was a Police Charity. I finally started answering it hoping they would quit calling.

They called and I could hear people in the background, then a hangup
