How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I receive at least a call a day from these and they want me to send out cards to my neighbors to collect for them. I made the mistake of doing this several years ago and now they constantly call and I've told them several times I cannot afford to do this. They even suggest that you hand carry them. I barley have time to go to the mail box to collect my own mail much less carry these to my neighbors. Apparently these people all live within walking distance of each other. I live out in the country where I'd use more gas passing them out than they would collect. When you tell someone NO! why do they not understand that NO is what you mean. QUIT CALLING people after they say Not to. It does not help to be on the DO NOT CALL
I also continue to get calls showing "March of Dimes" and "Thanks From MOD". The calls come all day and half of the night. Have been receiving them since I made the mistake and collected from my neighbors for the March of Dimes. I have told them that I just collected and certainly would not go back to my neighbors just a few months later and ask for money again and please remove me from their list. Didn't happen, calls continue to come and all I can do is ignore them. They will not stop calling. I understand that the "do not call" list does not include charities but MOD is down right annoying.
Outrageous! If I want to make a donation to a charity I will do so on my own. I am on the DNC list. They call twice a day. What a scam!
I finally talked to these weenies- they were calling from 845-790-8094 for the last 3-4 months twice daily. I spoke to the guy last night and said I have ZERO money to donate to this cause. He says 'well, all I want you to do is mail out 13 letters to your neighbors'. I said No Thanks and hung up.
Are piece of advice to MOD: stop HARASSING people...you will not get ANY donations this way.
I receive two to three calls a day from this number, and the caller never leaves a message. This has been going on for about two weeks. The calls come at all hours of the day. particularly morning around 9:00 and evenings around 5:00. Same thing happened last year. I am annoyed by these constant calls, and will never donate to March of Dimes.
