- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I was getting calls from this # on my new work cell, I finally answered it, if you wait and listen to the prompts you actually can speak to someone, I told them that this is a work cell number and not to call again, he said that is not good and will remove my number, last night I got the same call on my personal cell #, This is nothing more then a scam, all warranty
telemarketer
got a missed call as well - no VM.
Recorded message asking me to extend my automobile warranty. This is obviously a third-party solicitor, as I am also currently being inundated with direct mail from other "official" looking companies asking me to do the same for my Toyota/Honda/Nissan vehicle -- they don't even know what kind of car I own.
This was a recorded msg., warning us that driving our automobile without their warranty is dangerous. They said this is their last call (I can only hope) before we are dropped from their call list. They called our business line, by the way. Times must be tough.
I got a call today (03-11-2008) and they did not answer either. I live in Portland, OR 97233 (FYI)
i received the same call about vehicle warranty i pressed 1 and set on hold until some one came on the line, when i asked which of my cars they were calling about they said it was the car between the years of 1994 and 2007, when i asked again about which car they hung up, when i called back i got the message about removing my number from their call list, definately seems like a scam to me.
I just got a call on my cell...i I don't even own a car...
voice mail just says I can be removed from their list
Said the same about vehicular warranty expiration, and I don't even own a car. (Notice all calls have happened today.)
i pressed 1 to talk to a "sales representative" and it just puts me on hold then i got an "all lines are busy please call back later" and it hung up on me.
They called us at work. We didn't answer because the number was unfamiliar. They left no message.
They blindly called me son's cell phone at random. A computer message told him that "his car had been in an accident..." He hung up, he has no car.
These IDIOTS called my cell phone. They claimed my auto warranty was about to expire and they wanted to know if I wanted to renew. This is a scam people. They do not have your car information in their records. They want your money, pure and simple. Report them as I have done.
Another POS call.
This one is listed as FREEIOM ONE on caller ID.
The call came in to my cell phone. A recording says my vehicle warranty has expired. I listened to part of the recording and hung up. So how did they get my cell number I wonder?
Good I didn't pick up this call. Athough I've spoken to someone from this company before from my home phone. They were talking about the Extended warranty on my car.
I just got a call from this number on my cell phone. Didn't recognize the area code so I let it go. Glad I didn't answer. I have no extended warranty on either of my cars. They are a 1994 and 1997. Makes me wonder what they are fishing for.
This recording says it is the second warning that my vehicle warranty is expiring. First, this is my office phone and it comes in on line 8. Second, it asks for no one in particular. Then it says to renew my warranty, press 1 or to remove my number from the list, press 9. I pressed nothing and it has called back to our office at least 5 times today, possibly on different lines, I'm not sure. Either it is someone harvesting good phone numbers, or it is some other worse scam, either way, DON'T PRESS ANY NUMBERS!!!
After looking up the # and reading these reports I did not bother to callback.
When I called this number back, I got a recorded message that stated that if I wanted to be removed from the calling list, to enter my number. This phone number is unlisted with directory assistance. I have a cell phone and don't need whoever this is wasting my minutes!
voice called regarding "vehicle warranty extension"....says they will remove your number. answering system picks up if called back....again with option to remove number
this had no name and stated it was some type of "vehicle warranty extension program".....says you can remove the number from the list
We'll see if that works. No Caller ID
