Who Called Us

They call and call I run and there is never anyone on the other end. The caller ID says Incoming Call and this number.

The caller called my wife on 11/5/08, who proceeded to tell him MANY times that she would not agree to a contribution. One of the things that he told her was that the minimum contribution was $20. Finally, to get him off the phone, she told him to put something in the mail and we would consider it, but to not put us down for a contribution. They sent some materials and two "reminder" notices about our pledge. Included in the notices was that the minimum contribution was $10 (not $20). These materials were thrown out, as we had no intention of ever making a pledge or a contribution. Today, 11/22, he called again and talked to me. He proceeded to ask me why we have not honored our pledge. I told him that no pledge was made, and he proceeded to tell me several times that he had talked to the lady of the house, and she had committed to a pledge. While I was in the middle of telling him that they should never call again, he interrupted me, told me he would call again to talk to the lady of the house to find out why she is not honoring our pledge, and abruptly hung up.

I keep getting calls from "Haas, Jaclyn" but nobody is there when I answer. I read on another site that this is someone who claims to be affiliated with the police and trys to get $$. When the person says no, the guy on the phone apparently gets very rude and/or hangs up on them. Beware!!

Left message, that said, "what, what was that, what the hell."

just got a call from them at 6:31pm.....I had no idea as to why they would be calling me.....lol....tried to call back, the line was busy and then it said, mail box full....now if it is really the cops....wouldn't they leave a message or just simply locate you to knock on your door? Something smells fishy.....

What the heck is up with this number and why calling so many people that is kinda messed up I think it should go under investigation.

They called, I picked up because I saw POLICE. The man on the other end asked for donations and when I said I wasn't interested, he began harrassing me. He suggested I had gotten put in jail and that was why I hated police. Suggested I was illegal and had gotten my ID taken away. Said didn't I support police? He was VERY rude and his tone was very harsh. Don't take these people seriously.

They hung up on me after I said "hello" twice. I called the number back and got a recording that it is not a valid number. Scam artists.

they left no message just hung up when I answered the phone.

Haven't had calls in a long time, but started again! Wish they would stop!

I think they are posing as a charity orginazation for the police. But the police never benefit.
As if the police need a charity org.

Telemarketing junk no doubt

Friends I've had in the police have always said to avoid such people. Their administrative costs absorb almost all they take in and the police/widows/orphans/etc never see anything.

No-caller ID info because the call was forwarded to my cell phone. They asked for donations...

When "googled" comes up as Jaclyn Haas 428 S. Carroll Ave. in Freeport IL - not sure why caller ID comes up as IL POLICE PA.

Have called a few more times - no messages left.

Called again today - no message.

Gat call 10/8 no message - don't know who they are (IL POLICE PA)

No message. If you do a reverse look-up it gives a guys name. I forgot what is was...

Caller ID stated IL Police PA, I did not answer they did not leave a message

No message left on machine.
