Who Called Us

Recently canceled gevalia account. Didn't answer. Thanks for the heads up. I would have answered if I had known who it was, but I NEVER answer anonymous ID's. Let them eat fax machine!

I called this number back on SKYPE. A man answered and said they are a marketing company hired by GEVALIA COFFEE. i told them not to call me ever again as I already subscribe to Gevalia coffee offers. I tole him that if they ever call me again , I wil SUE both Gevalia and the marketing company which goes by the name of "person-to-Person:".

Same as most of you. Calls at least once a day, usually after 6:00 PM. My caller ID just says "out of area" plus the phone number. I don't answer...from my experience, these type of calls will often just stop as abruptly as they started.

Hey everyone who's been bugged by these calls.

The calls are coming from a company called Person To Person Direct. They are a marketing company hired by Gevalia to call past customers to get them back.

Please go to their web site: persontopersondirect.com and submit a do not call request. That should do it. If not, just wait a while and the calls should stop.

Other than that, you can also go to the Gevalia website and under the contact us page, submit a request for your number to be removed. You can also call the Gevalia number they have on their site.

Person-to-Person is mktg firm for Gevalia Coffee. I HAD been a member of Gevalia, but no longer am. This marketing firm ignores any/all requests or demands to cease calling; has been reported to the DO NOT CALL list numerous times to no avail. I have actually talked to a representative from this phone number. This individual has stated she did not have any availability to cease the robo calls, and she apologized! There should be something consumers can do to cease this flood of robocalls... otherwise landlines will become extinct in our house. Are you listening, phone companies???? Quit selling our info and clean up your business practices...

My husband is a PSU alum. They are calling several times a week around 8:30 and hang up when the answering machine picks up the call.

I get 8-10 calls a week from this number.

I am also a PSU Alum ('00). My number is and has been on the 'Do Not Call' list for several years. The list is now permanent and does not expire, so there is no excuse for them to call me.

They call repeatedly. I have a small child, and they call at 8:30PM when I am getting him ready for bed.

I am not and have never been a Gevalia customer as some other have mentioned, so I'm guessing the State College connection has to be Penn State as pointed out by 'Sad4PSU'.

I didn't actually receive the call as they called a number that I don't have a voice mail/answering machine on, but is listed on do not call list.......as a Penn State alum, finding out the the location of this number leads me to believe that this is probably being managed and staffed with students who don't realize the implications of their activities.

For those who aren't aware - they are located at 111 Sowers ST, Suite 2, State College, PA 16801 -- what concerns me most is where they acquired my information.....

Given the timing of the fact that they just contacted today, my alumni affiliations and the recent win of the NIT by PSU, I suspect that they have access to the alum records..

Also, this is a global marketing sales acquisition method - it is touted as person to person - you can attend seminars, etc. and suspect that there is some sort of franchising involved. There are many related "organizations" across the country now with similar names. I just suspect that, unfortunately, these are most-likely PSU grads or students have not done the research necessary to understand the legal ramifications of their business.

They need to do some serious research and/or consult with the BLAW profs if they plan on continuing. I will have no qualms of pursuing them for violations......

I am on the Do Not Call list, yet I get daily calls from this number as well as other auto-dialers. Is there any way to stop these unsolicited calls?

I receive several calls a day. How can it be stopped?

I'm getting 4 to 5 calls a day up into the night. I called back and asked to be taken off and they said it could take up to 30 to 60 days. I am on a do not call list. This has to be illegal...It is harrassmnet plain and simple. I want it to stop. We need to take legal action against the caller.

Thanks to James!!! I just sent a rather scathing e-mail to customer service demanding cease and desist from the endless hang-up calls. I too am a customer of Gevalia, but an e-mail from me will carry some weight. We will see.

They have called several times. When I answer, no is there.

THEY HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES -- 11/13 TO 11/19-- I AM CONTACTING DONOTCALL.GOV FOR REMOVAL!

I have received 2 calls today 11/6/07 at 12:16PM and 3:19PM. No messages were left. Other posts state it is Gevalia Coffee. I am a Gevalia customer so it is possible they are the ones calling. Very annoying.

This call has come in several times this evening, about 20 minute intervals.

1-800-432-2542 ia a toll free number for Gevalia, that you can complain to if it is Gevalia that is doing the calling. I got the number from the Gevalia web site. It also listed an email web site;
Customer_Service@gevalia.com.
When I call I am going to ask them to remove my name and phone number from their data base, and when I email them I want a verification from them that they have obeyed my wishes.
I have received 10 calls from 814-231-6400 in the last week. Sadly, I have done business with Gevalia in the past but didn't give them permission to give my name and phone number to telemarketing. If I have luck calling their toll free number, this 20 year ex-military man is going to rip some you know what.

Caller ID showed State College, PA. I appreciated the info to file a complaint with the donotcall.gov registry...I had indeed registered several years ago...so I filed a complaint...about this and several other numbers from recent history.

Does anyone know if there is actually any follow up done on the callers?

I, too, am on the Do Not Call registry and ENJOY filing a complaint each and EVERY time I receive a call from these numbers. Ihave been getting a LOT of calls lately, and I file complaint EVERY time, so that hopefully HUGE FINES are assessed for each violation. FIGHT BACK!! FILE A COMPLAINT!

They call me 3-4 times a day. They won't ever leave a message. It's aggravating. I answered once and it was Gevalia. I was a former customer and won't be again.

well, I just setup my call forwarding. If 814-231-6400 calls, they get forwarded to gevalia's corporate office. I won't post the corp number but some persistent web searching might lead you to something. Additionally, you could just forward the number back to "person to person." either way, they're getting a dose of their own medicine and I get a good chuckle.

I signed up on the no-call list last year and this year to avoid this problem. I guess they found a loophole in the system. I have one call a day for about a week now.

I have received 12 calls from this number since May 29, 2007. I never answer and they never leave a message. I am on the Do Not Call list and they are still calling. When I called it back, there was no answer.

Called the number back and was a Telemarketer for Givalia Coffee. They placed me on their Do Not Call List. We shall see if that works.

This number has called 3 times in 10 days. One caller ID showed "PERSON" another "Unknown Name" and the third "PERSON TO PERSON"

Several calls from this number have show up on my caller ID. If it is Gevalia coffee, I've not ordered from them in almost 2 years. Just reading the comments on this site have helped me decide that I won't answer their calls. Maybe they will eventually give up.

It is my understanding that if you are existing customer of a company, they may call you and offer more services. Loophole for telemarketing??

I answered the call. It's Gevalia coffee. Just tell them you have 2 years supply of coffee in your kitchen.

Thius number calls me on about a daily basis, including 3 times after I got home at around 8 o'clock last night (3-2-7), and once so far today (3-3-7). They have never left a message.

This company/persons called my phone twice within 6 minutes while I was on the internet. We have the CallWave answering service which showed 'Person to Person,State College PA' and I chose not to accept the call. They left no messages. I googled the number & here is one of the results, listed as: "StateCollegeDirectory.com" (State College PA Businesses) statecollegedirectory.com . I guess you can go to college to learn how to properly irritate people now?

Caller ID indicated PERSON TO PERSON - Most likely Gevalia Coffee. We have done business with them before so they can bypass the DNC list for us.

This is not the first time this number has come up on our caller ID! I thought DO NOT CALL was supposed to filter these trash calls! Look at caller ID before answering any calls. If it is important, they'll leave a message.

My experience is pretty much the same as the others that posted. I did get a call from them on Sunday at 9:00pm. Unbelievable. I've also been a Gevalia customer for years, and this past shipment will be the last time I have their coffee sent to me.

I'm glad for the infromation that people wrote in about stating that this was Gevalia, I've been a customer of them for years and now I think I will change that and hopefully end the stupid calls.

They have called regularly for a few months. I just called them back, 10/14/06 and a guy nemed Matt answered. It is a telemarketing co. He said he would remove my #, "within applicable laws", whatever that means... He said it should take effect withing 30 days.

I 'Googled' this phone number and it goes to a telemarketing business. They called one on 7/10 but called three times today between 9:22am and 3:34pm. I tried to locate an 800 to call them and complain but to no avail. Did manage to find a place in Yahoo to 'write a review' on this company and I did !!
