Who Called Us

Sunday March 07, 2010 8:50 AM EST. YES this number 831-506-5700 is a number used via (ISP's) Internet phone service providers. Primarily, it is used by SKYPE. But I have seen other ISP's associated with this number. It is also a great mis-use channel for collection agency's who know they should not use this sort of non verifable calling system.

Caller, "Justin" said it was not a "solicitation call" - but to see if I was eligible for new energy rebates. I told him that I considered it a "solicitation call" and to put me on his do not call list. He said he could only do that if I listened to what he had to say. I asked for his company phone No. and he said it was outgoing only. I repeated my request to be put on the do not call list and then hung up. My guess is that this is a "for rent" outgoing line that is rented to various dubious businesses to try and avoid the "harassing" status - which it is anyway!!

PAI has been calling...pretending to be the school system I work for. This is becoming a really problem.

Got a call from this number today and they left a message but didn't know it. Apparently the phone was left open after they called and I could hear a bunch of people talking in the background. I heard one gal say HI and that she was calling from Federal Financial. It sounded like one of those places where people sit in a room and make call after call. The name Anthony Hall is interesting after reading other comments below. His name has come up on my phone here at work SEVERAL times. I get so many sales calls during the day that if it isn't someone I do business with, I don't answer the phone. Just as soon as I do they are trying to sell me something or trying to reach someone who doesn't work here collecting a debt. If this is a place collecting a personal debt, they should not be allowed to call and harrass a place of business. I went through that with Wells Fargo. They would call 9 times a day everyday looking for an employee who was behind on his truck payment. I told them to remove me from the master data base as this was not a number where he could be reached. We don't allow personal calls unless it's a family emergency. I actually had a girl hang up on my not once but twice when I asked them not to call anymore. I was livid. I'm on the DO NOT CALL list but it doesn't work.

Received a call from this number on 02/02/10. I did NOT answer the phone. This caller did not leave a message.
I tried various reverse phone directories and did not get any substantial information about this creep.

This number has been calling me quite a few times each day. Caller ID says Tampa, FL. I let the machine pick up and they never leave a message. I know it is a cell because in my medical office management class a chapter discusses Caller IDs, if the name portion comes up as the city and state it is a cell phone. Funny "Sunshine State" mentions Anthony Hall and IKN because I have received calls from those numbers, but they do leave messages. They are debt collectors, they use various numbers with different names. I have also received the "All circuits are busy now" message that "Kit" got. Hmmm... I guess someone seems to be having a whole lot of time on their hands. I am glad I found this site and that I am not the only one. It is a little spooky, just remember to stay on your toes and simply, "Don't pick it up". :)

I recently bought a Vonage Phone. When I use this phone to call my own home phone, my home caller ID displays PAI as the name and 506-5700 as the number. This is NOT my name or number. So I believe that this number in some sort of error from whoever owns my number and many other numbers. It makes me mad that I may be associated with scams because this number is displayed. I may cancel Vonage!

This "person" anthony hall 813- 506-5700 has been calling us a few times already; also IKN, Inc.813-549--6158. Pretty sure both #'s are connected to each other.Extremely weird!... Starting today when my 2 kids called home from college (with their Spring cellular- we have Vonage #) and in our home caller ID did showed anthony hall and IKN. Did they hacked my vonage #? Do you know anything about this? Please share. Thanks.

Recording claimed to be spring stating new service activated on my line. Sounded good at the beginning, until it got to the part of "for the service ending in ..." no number at the end. Went immediately to the "if you want to continue in spanish" Then started asking for personal information. I hung up and called the real Sprint. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFO TO SOME ONE WHO CALLS YOU!!!!

Claimed to be Crysler Finance, Said I was behind on payment, I am not went to question who they where and they hung up, called Crysler, they know nothing of this, Potential scammer trying to collect by misrepresenting thenselves.

Received a call from this number PAI 506-5700. They left a voice mail message to call American Express. I don't have an account with them.

received call from this number on 08-11-09 @9:03AM did not answer. They did not leave message. And so I was curious who this number belonged too. So glad I did not answer!

I just got a call from this number, caller id said PAI, and it was a recording from Stuart, Allen and Associates asking to call them. They are a collection agency from Arizona that we have already informed have no claim through an atty. It seems that they are resorting to calling us using a different number. Time to let the lawyer know.

Did not answer call, but when I called back it says "All circuits are busy now". I thought it ot be odd. I don't have any credit cards or debt. I am suspisious because I have been a target of phishing and scam calls lately.

Caller left a message stating that she was sorry to call on a Sunday, but she could help me with my credit card debt. I don't know how she got my ph number, I don't have any credit cards or debt, probably calling all numbers in our area. If she calls you don't pick up!
