Who Called Us

Why would they call you on a cell phone from inside a call center? Other "who called me sites" indicate that this is a scam to get your credit card. This number called me this evening. If it were legit they would have left a voice mail.

Oh, and I have never been a Verizon customer. They called my Vonage number.

This number called me 4-3-10. It was Verizon Wireless. They called to make a special offer on changing out my cell phone from the old Alltel to a newer Verizon model. She was very polite.

Caller asked for me by first name and said he was calling from Verizon Wireless and gave a telephone number other than that which showed up on my cell phone.. Said my Verizon Wireless service was up for renewal within the month and asked if I was planning to renew.
Since this is a corporate phone, I told him that any renewal would take place by corporate headquarters. I gave him no other info.
He thanked me for my time and we hung up.
From the noises in the background it seemed like a call center.
Caller was not rude.
Seemed legit.

This number called me at work- I do not know who it might be, so I did not answer it- so many scams happening- Who is this and why they calling? Called Wenesday about 11:00 am MST- no voice or txt message left-

Called my house phone.

Caller ID'ed themselves as Verizon then asked me to verify last 4-ssn...when I asked why they needed info they claimed dialed wrong number then quickly hungup.

Asked for Claudia. Told them no one here by that name. They said Thank You and hung up.

IT shows nothing on but only showed Tampacen, FL..I didn't answer it..it showed on CallWave Internet caller id...

I hope they don't start calling several times a day... What ever happen to the DO NOT CALL LIST. Does no one care anymore.

From reading the other comments, it seems that it's EITHER Verizon calling to actually track a delinquent bill, or it's something fraudulent. I hope nobody's given out their credit or debit card numbers over the phone. I don't really think it's honestly a delinquent bill, as my bill has N.E.V.E.R been late. EVER.

God forbid I get hit by a car, go into a coma, and not wake up in time to pay my cell phone bill. They called my cell daily and every single time my mother told them I was in the ER they still persisted to get this cash. Well, I am back now and am very happy to call CINGULAR my new phone company. Nyah

I received my 1st call from 813 290 6001 on 10/16/07 I decided to googlr the phone # since I do have family in FL. but the results took me to this website I hope that they won't call me again. But I did spoke to cust serv. and they said that they will take care of it it is weir b/c I have register my house # on the Do Not Call List. I think they are trying to offer serv. but I wonder why they ask to speak to Emmanuel I dont know anybody by that name nor do they live here w/ me weir!!

Verizon is a scam; anything you buy from them has a 2 year contract on your credit card receipt that they don't tell you about beforehand. Clearly a fraudulent business practice.

They keep calling here, but we are not Verizon customers and tell them so.

I just got a call from this number and checked my Verizon Wireless statement online. I don't owe them anything. I wonder if this has something to do with the V.W. that I am trying to get fired for swearing at my wife?

I called Verizon yersterday asking about business plans - ever since they call me - I guess to get me to sign up

Keep getting calls from this number but they don't leave messages and until now, I had no idea who it was calling me but they call anywhere from 1-3x a day!

I found this website when I looked up this phone number online to see who kept calling. The number being called is a third line and that person is not authorized to make payments or changes to the account. No message is left and the calls are consistant at one per day.

This number will appear anytime a VZW Rep calls you from the Florida call center. Since many departments exist in this center the reason behind the call varies. Sometimes it's financial services calling about your bill. Or it could be Customer Care calling you back just as you requested.

My son's phone has received several calls from this number. I called the number and it goes directly to Verizon but they could not find why we are getting the calls. The bill is not late and this phone is a family line not the primary number that the bill goes to.

Someone called me from this number several times. I never answered this call. I figure if someone really know that you won something, they would leave a message. This is with anything. If you really want a person, leave a message. It just seemed suspicious to me. Lately, I've been getting a lots of calls from strange numbers. I think we just shouldn't answer calls we don't know.

Caller requested to speak to a person unknown to me.

This person called me yesterday (3/5/07) and today (3/6/07). I answered the call this morning, but no one said anything for a few seconds, then hung up. I looked on the internet and some other people had received the same call and commented that it could be a scam of some kind.

Verizon has called about 3 times for someone that hasn't lived here for 3 years. We keep telling them and they still keep calling.
