We answered but nobody was there.

So far this man with a thick indian accent has called my cell phone 23 times just today. It rings once then hangs up. I finally got someone and he started asking me if I wanted money that I didn't have to pay back. I am irritated over the whole thing !

Call came in at 1516Hrs PST today, 19 Jan 07. Which would've made it just past noon Hawaii time. Man on the phone had a heavy Indian/Middle-Eastern accent, asked how much we were paying for long distance and how he could offer SUCH a DEAL. He hung up after being told such info "was none of his damned business!" (The schmuck will NEVER get anywhewre with his scams if he shows such a wilting lack of tenacity.)

I keep getting calls from this number. Who is it? I am ANNOYED!

I just answered the phone without checking caller ID. The guy mentioned that he was from the US Govt. and that a grant had been awarded to me for being a taxpayer. Anyways, he had all my information: Complete name, home address, and he said that he had my bank account and routing # an he only needed to confirm it. And I fell for it, but I only gave them partial info on those numbers. The guy kept pushing that this would not work but. Then he said somebody would be calling me later to confirm my account. A few minutes later I checked the No. on the caller ID and read "out of area". I called back and got a message about number being disconnected. I went immediatelly to my bank to change my account. I realized that if this was the government, it would show on the caller ID. Bummer.

Just got the call a few minutes ago. Since i didnt know the number i let the voicemail pick it up. They didnt leave a message. Since i have phone service through bresnan cable i can block the number from calling again. I did try and call the number back after reading some of the comments here and i also got that the number dialed was not in service.

Started getting calls from this number on 1/10/2007. They called three times - never was anyone on the other end. All the usual - phone on no call list, unlisted number, etc. I'm going to try and get them to answer next time - imitate my grandmother or something just to see what they are.

Something called Dominick called about my mortgage. I told him we had ours with the local bank, he did not need to know how much it was for or how much the payments were, and that he didn't need to call this number again.
His English was so bad I could barely understand him and he couldn't pronounce our name worth a damn!

This jerk keeps calling me telling me he has money from US government, and has a check he is willing to mail me but then he says he needs my bank info to verify I am who he is looking for. And I wouldn't give it, he also gave me a bogus customer service number.How did he get my cell number? Both my house and cell number are on the do not call registry.

It's an company selling drugs. They do not honor do not call requests. It's an auto dial system that puts an operator on when you answer. The callers sound like they're Indian

They have called my house at 5:30 in the morning for the last 2 mornings. This morning the girl said she was either Patty or Jenny from Premier Associates.

2 of 2 should provide me with a name and address. He ran off a quick address and told him to slow down I can't write that fast. So he slowed down and gave me "P.O. Box 910669, St. George Uth, 84791. I asked who he was and he ran a name off real quick and changed the subject. I asked him again what his name was and he said"Jack Perry" and if I had any problems I should contact 866-652-2049. I asked if he work for Ebay and he said no, but he was a company working with Ebay, I didn't get the name. with further research, the above number doesn't show up on the net. If anyone finds anything, let me know. The address he gave me comes up under the name "SmartNet Development" which surely wasn't the business name in which he gave me. I hope this helps some of you and hoely it's help me as weel. Let me know of any of you find anything that would help in this matter.

1 of 2 I recieved a call from this number @ 11:25am pst on December 2nd. The caller hung up before I could answer the phone. I went and researched the number and found this site and learned as much I could about what was going on. @ 11:34am, they called again. An Indian lady answered the phone and explained that I had won something associated with an Ebay purchase. She rattled off my correct address and phone number and asked if it was correct. She asked me for my email address. I told her I knew that they were scamming people. She said, "what?". I said I knew what they were doing and they would eventually go to prison for what they were doing. She continued to rattle off that I won something and in association with a purchase. I laughed and said "Why would I provide information to people that are scamming people?", she then patched me through to a "manager" with oddly enough an Indian accent. A man with a heavy Indian accent called and asked if I had Dishnet in the house. When I said that is not offered here, he hung up the phone abruptly.

My daughter received several obscene phone calls from this number. The caller initially stated he was from a pharmacy and wanted usto pick up a prescription. He then must have realized he was talking to a young girl and he got filthy. He called at least ten times on 11/24/2006.

Have been receiving calls from 866-231-4555. When I call this # back it is always busy, except 1x, it said "we have some important information for you, call 800-313-2300. I calle this # and it is a phone sex line. On call tracing it shows 808-212-0041 which is a number that is disconnected. Today 11/16/06 at 11:45 this # called and I spoke with "Garrett Osborn" with the Federal Government,(very heavy Indian accent). He had a $5000 grant for me. He wanted verification info from me, I told him to send me info in mail and he got very rude and told me that I would loose it in the next 10 minutes if I did not give him info. I refused. He began to call me B*!%$ and I hung up. I then called the phone company and they put call tracing on my phone and gave me a number to annoyance call center. (I am on the DNC list). I then called the Federal Trade Commission, (877-382-4357),spoke with a nice man, filed a complaint, and he told me that when they get so many complaints that the Federal Govt. investigates.

A guy called me on 10-06-06 at 4:55pm from (808)212-0041 claiming to be Mike from Crazy Travelers. He was a little hard to understand (bad english). I informed him that we are on the do not call list and told him that I will be reporting him, his company and his name to them. I also informed him not to call AGAIN!

It indeed is generated by skype, called my own phone & that's the id coming up... Need to complaiin to skype folks, as they used to have "unavailable" come thru, and my phone gives a recording saying it's blocked until a number is put in...
That's why i used to get all zero's from collection agents looking for former tennants!

This number was transferred to my extension at work...I did not answer...then, about 10 minutes later, a number with a 911 area code called and the woman told me she was from Smart Cue India and was interested in what my company had to offer. File a complaint with the ic3.gov. It is run by the FBI. I deal with this type of fraud at work and this guy is scamming my employer. Fill out as much info as you can especially the phone number and once the FBI gets enough complaints, they will hopefully look in to it for all of us.

I have received over 2 dozen calls from some "pharmacy" -- all of the callers have an accent (Indian perhaps? not sure). Told him I'd looked up the number and found a lot of scams related to it, and he just continued with his script, asking me what medications I'm into now...

Six calls from this number within 9 1/2 hours! From the other messages on this site that I've read, it sounds like people use this number to harrass or scam people without being able to be traced.

We are in a bad custody situation so I am wondering if it is my stepdaughter's mother who lost custody of her daughter (to us) over 5 years ago and is just looking at one more way to harrass us...

Answered, and there was 'dead air'. Then Googled the name on the phone: "Lihue". Google showed it is a city on a Hawaiian Island. Then Googled the # and found this site.

This number has been calling my cell phone incessantly for the last week. My cell is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry as well...

Thought it was strange as we don't know anyone in Hawaii but husband has a friend that works as a flight attendant. thought it might be him. Second call came in today 10/10/2006 at 4:45 P.M. . Was able to take this call as I was on day off from work. heavily accented man wanted to speak to the owner of the phone number he had reached. I told him the owner was speaking. told him to speak more clearly as I was having a hard time understanding him and usually my Vonage is crystal clear. He told me that my bank( and he gave me the proper name of my bank) had awarded us a "gift" of $1000 to be deposited into our account. I said ok. He said he needed our debit or bank card in order to deposit it. I told him noooooooo, uh-uh, I don't think so and hung up on him. He must think because we are from a rural area we are stupid. I've received several calls from this number, until I finally just decided to google it a couple of minutes ago. Missed one today, Saturday, Oct. 7th at 7:03 pm, Wednesday, Oct. 4th at 7:33 pm, and Tuesday, Sep. 12th at 10:11 am. It's my cell so it just gives the number.

A man with a very heavy indian accent called me today, he said his name was Tom Johnson, and said that he just wanted to tell me that i won 12,000.00 dollars because my criminal history background was good, and i never had any problems, he asked me if i was a us citizen. and he had my bank account, adress,phone number, and he wanted to recor our conversation. then he kept telling me to wait a second, and wait so i hanged up.

This a very annoying sitiuation, I have young kids (hense the Caller ID)at home so they know who it is on the phone when it rings.. If they don't reconize the caller's name or # they will not answer it.. we use Voice mail religously.

I'm on the Do Not Call registry, have complained to the FCC and Verizon, none of which is any help. Since scammers change their caller ID/source #s so much, there's not much one can do except change your # ... but what if your new one is one their list, too?!

some guy calling from india has called multiple times using this same number. the guy was selling phone cards on behalf of a company called "nctalk" or something similar sounding.

When these people call... be nice, sound interested, and rattle off some fake credit number and fake name. only way I can see to pissing them off is by wasting their time like they waste ours!!

I got a call from this number on Sept. 11 2006.
Today is Sept. 14 and I just found this web site. I just called the number back(*67 of course) and got a message saying the number(808-212-0041) is out of service now. This is one of many calls I have received recently (about 1 or 2 calls per day from various numbers) asking for a friend of mine who recently moved to NYC from Europe. I allowed my friend to use my cell # as his US # for his Visa application, student paperwork, etc - because he did not yet have a US #. I inform each caller he is no longer reachable at this #, and offer to take a message. Each caller chooses to leave no message (and no VM when I fail to answer the call).

I'm sure these people are representing MANY different companies - that's why the caller id is so ambiguous. We need to find the name of the telemarketing company to get to the bottom of this harassment.

Second or third time this number has shown up on my Missed Calls. I just decided to Google it this time and came across this site. No message ever left and I've never spoken to anyone. My phone system is VoIp if that helps anyone. My phone system allows me to block specific numbers which I've now done.

heavily accented callers say they are calling for a company called Leisure Travels. we have asked them numerous times to not call, I have spoken to supervisors "Harry Jones" and "Leo James" who speak also with heavy accents not representative of their names. somethings's fishy........

I was called 4 times, on9/08/06. @ 6;19pm, 6:21pm,9:00pm, & 9:02pm.Caller ID said unknown number. The first three calls I didn't answer. The fourth I answered and the caller an Indian female, said she was from "Travelocity" and was doing a survey regarding our travel pattern. After reviewing the post, I tend to agree with those who say this is a VOIP number (Skype or other). Our calls are from an "online pharmacy" I have a Skype account and called my home # (Vonage) to see what caller ID would come up. It came up "los Angeles CA" (which was the AC). Previously I've gotten just nonsense phone #s calling myself from Skype.

Got called by this number this morning - a guy with an Inidan accent saying he was with United Mortgage. I told him I wasn't interested in changing mortgage companies and to please take me off their call list (I'm already on the National Do Not Call List). He replied that no, he wouldn't and I can't do a thing about it!

said he was a man named martin from California. With a huge Indian accent. Told him to call back in a hour. gonna try to get him to say his turbens dirty

called me but I missed it. Checked the number on the web...it said Hawaii. Googled the number. Got this site. I won't be answering these fools.

I received a call from this number today. I didn't answer obviously. What's funny is that I received an email from someone I know asking me to update my information for their address book. All I did was add my cell phone number which I don't mind giving out since I screen all my calls. I bet ya that's were they got my number from.

Just googled my way here. For the past two weeks, this HI number shows on my caller ID when my mother phones! She's in NJ. She doesn't use Skype. She doesn't even have a computer. Any ideas, folks?

Claimed he was interested in our house that we have for sale on the internet and said he was from Kentucky and moving back to our town in MI. Wish I would have had the info when I talked to him unless he was legit and was just using VOIP - wish we really knew for sure.

About once or twice a week receive a call from them. I have caller ID - so I just pickup (it is my second number) and just leave it on hold - I never talk or answer them - just leave it on hold until they disconnect.

I have received a call from this number a few times over the past 2 weeks. Each times the call has been in the middle of the night, by the time I get to the phone, the answering machine gets it and all that is there is a slow busy signal, not any person.

constantly getting these annoying phone calls on my cell phone but i never answer and they never leave a message.

It's unbelievably annoying. I'm getting 15-20 calls a day from this number. The phone usually goes dead once I answer and I get the "disconnected" message when I try and call back. I am also on the Do Not Call Registry.

I ask if I can put them on hold. They hang on for a few minutes. It wastes more of their time than mine. There does not seem to be a way to get off their list.

We received four calls!!! That woke us up at 4:15AM, 4:20AM, 4:25AM,5:13AM~~~No one answered when I picked up. I have an elderly mother and I thought my family was calling me. I called the phone company and "no information available on this number"~~so it could be a cell number. Our phone is registered on the DO NOT CALL LIST~so our the cell phones~~but we just moved and they were registered less than a month ago. I am exhausted from being woken up so many times this morning....

808-212-0041 is a generic fone ## utlized by voipbuster.com. I use the service regularly and that is the ## that shows on the other end. all callers in the USA may show that ## when using the service, so it could be from any of their customers.

Got a call from a known friend in Thailand with 808-212-0041 showing on my caller ID. Funny the mobile phone number used did no show on my caller ID.

Have your phone company block the number. Skipe will figure out how to put the proper number in to the caller ID when their customer start complaining that they've been blocked.

He has called me and is selling Herbalife diet pills. I am also on the National Do Not Call Registry. After checking this number on google I wonder if these people are using a calling card purchased at a convenience store.

I notice from other comments that this CID is generic to Skype, so this could be any fool out there. Or the Indian telemarketer scum.

This man called and I could barely hear them speaking, but they were saying crude things of a sexual nature.

Called me as an online pharmacy from Private number. Creepily enough, they have my prescription information. When I told him (named Sam) I don't want their refills, they ask what other medications I'm taking. I told him I'll call him back and he tells me he'll call me back. I insist, and he gives me a bogus number for a travel agency. Same guy calls back again from this number (in Hawaii, callerID said) and wants to push ahead "refill." Makes me sick to think they scam ill people this way.

On the third call today, I finally got a person to answer my "hello" when I picked up the phone.

This time, the caller identified herself as belonging to Route 66 Funding (who I have, sadly, had dealings with in the past). Someone on one of the sites was looking for a common thread between all of us, and so I was wondering if this might be it.

Just got a phone call from them this morning when I woke up shortly after 8 a.m. Let it go to voicemail, and then checked indicated message to find NOTHING THERE. So, I tried calling the number back and received a message that the number was either disconnected or not in service. I got another call from them a few hours later, answered the phone, and said hello four times before hanging up.

They called my home phone 4 times tonight. The first time no on ewas home, the second and third no one answered my husband and me. The final time after saying hello 3 times, a man with a thick accent asked for me by my first name. I lied and asked to take a message. Noone answered me. It was 9:22 PM

I got a call at 10:30pm from this number. Caller said he was calling to ask if I was going to admit to illegally downloading music before I was prosecuted. Sounded like a computerized voice harmonizer. I led him on as if I believed him, and pleaded ignorance to any illegal downloading, since I really don't. He had my name, address, and knew that there were 2 schools near my place (presumably on a map site). It sounded totally fake, because the RIAA doesn't call you, they subpoena your records and press charges without asking questions. Anyway, I told him I knew the procedure and asked him waht agency he was calling from, and he got defensive, said I'd "find out tomorrow", and after a few minutes of going round and round he asked me for an apartment number, and I said... why do you need it... you know everything... and he said they may have made a mistake, click click clicked on a keyboard, said they DID make a mistake, and backed down. I kept him on the phone for a good 5 minutes. Reported incident to TWC digital phone security.

Got a call from this number at 7:11pm last night... But didn't pick up... From what other people said, I guess its a good thing I didn't.

The best way to get these guys is to pretend that you are interested in what they have to sell to you. If you have the time, waste theirs and make it way too expensive for them to continue calling.

This number calls me ALL the time. Usually there is no one there when I pick up. I tell them to stop calling anyway. I have gotten to the point where I pick up the phone and hang it up without even putting it to my ear.

These people are appently using this # for other scams... specifically offering government grants and web design services in addition to pharmaceuticals.

I use the packet8 VOIP service and my father just told me this number appeared on his caller ID display when I phoned. That's really weird, but I guess it's some identifier for a VOIP (voice-over-IP) carrier.

When I make calls using Skype, sometimes this number shows up on the caller ID. Just started happening recently.

I received four calls from this number today: 808-212-0041. Luckily, I had found this site and the complaints about the same number before picking up on the 4th call. The caller pretended to be from the Democratic National Committee and was soliciting a donation. He asked for my credit card information. He hung up on me when I told him I'd already researched the phone number he was calling from and determined it was most likely a scam. Beware!

My phone rang, but stopped ringing before I could pick up. This happened twice in a short period of time. Verizon Caller ID displayed the caller's number as 808-212-0041. My own number is on the National Do Not Call Registry, so I should not be getting calls from them.

I just got an eFax from this number. I'm surprised many had a voice on the other end. This fax was typical Disney vacation for almost free. I hear they hit your credit card for the fees then disappear. Avoid!

The number is generated from a VOIP phone a.k.a. Skype. I realized this when my friend told me she called me using Skype. She tried it again and the same number appeared. Technically, the person on the line could be anyone because of VOIP, it's completely anonymous and can not be traced.

Dish network has struck again...this time they called from a different number and it is...808-212-0041. They are ruder than ever!
So, I called dish network to get taken off the list again...I'm begining to think this 'list' is fictitious). First I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and they would put one on. So, I hung up and when I finally spoke to a manager he connected me to the executive office. I requested information from "the executive resolution team", such as corporate address, phone number and or location,none of which could be given to me. I found it cryptically bazaar...So, we will see if these disturbing calls will stop. Based on these passed experiences I am begining to believe that Dish network, as a whole is just a scam. I thought it odd because the number listed on his resume had a CA area code. Googled the phone number and this came up. Not a good start for this guy. He called at 10:01am and it listed unnamed.

This number (808-212-0041) has called me on my cell phone everyday for over 2 months. Sometimes 3 and 4 times a day. I googled this number in July and saw all the "Scam" responses, so I do not answer the phone when I see this number come up. I have never spoken with anyone from this number. On 8/12/2006 they called and the phone rang for over 5 minutes. I had to answer to stop it from ringing. After answering the call I could not get my cell phone to disconnect or turn off.

A guy asked for my wife. I asked him who's calling. He said his name was Perry. After I handed the phone to my wife, he asked why we recently closed a checking account. My wife said we didn't close any account. He said thanks and hang up the phone. Sounds like identity thief.....

Called after midnight. Said Hello and immediately the call dropped. Read elsewhere they are looking for accents, older people, or others that may be easily scammed. Guess I didn't fit the profile. Used my Callvantage call filter and blocked the number permanently. I'll get no more calls from them. Glad I did, as it seems from reading other comments that they like to call several times.

This was the number given to me by a caller from "Mortgage Tracker" as their supposed corporate office number. This "service" call us 5 plus times a day.

Just got a call saying that our town of clay was sending out inspectors to check the status of our gutters on our home. Wouldnt give a name, Company, or call back number. Insisted on coming out because the town of Clay asked them to.

I seen this # come up on June 23, 2006 and they called 6 times. Says Hawaii on the Caller ID, so I never answered it. The calls started again on August 2nd, 2006. Got 8 calls from them.

A man with a indian accent from this number called me telling me I won a free Bahamas trip from Time Travel. Employee I.D. 2300 However He needed my credit card number to recieve the trip.he said he was call from clearwater florida. Very pushy as to why he needed the number.

Rec'd call from "Franca Williams" who selling French Bulldogs on the Net. Although he claimed to live within 30 minutes of our location (Whitehall, PA), he refused to allow us to see the dog and pay him directly. He wanted to use Western Union and a courier. When questioned about which service he uses, he couldn't answer. The price was far too cheap as well. He spoke with a Caribbean accent. He could not provide a contact #.

Drug dealers

A man with a very heavy, Indian accent called me just a few minutes ago, offering me "Grant Money" from the "US Government" in exchange for my Social Security number, birthdate and bank info. I played along with him for awhile, and he wound up hanging up on me when I told him to send me my "grant" to my paypal account, and send me a 1099 at the end of the year, instead of me disclosing my SSN.

The call came in at 8:15am, and when the phone rang, no one was there. This is very annoying as I work nights. I am not giving my phone number,but I am on the do not call registry which makes it worse.
