Asked for Owner by name and would not talk with others, We hung up on them

They called twice today. When they didn't get the answer they wanted the first time they called back a second and simply said " I like ham " and hung up. Real mature. I tried to get on the "do not call" list but go figure- the mailbox is full.

I put my phone number on Do Not Call list on their website, and they stopped calling me.

Hi folks, I'm back!

This time it was Corina that called. No pre-record, but a live person. Wanted to talk to the owner about "Personal Benefits". Wonder if that's anything like "Friends with Benefits". Maybe next time the call, I pursue that line of questioning... Didn't want to talk to me very long and hung up when she began believing I wasn't the owner.

This is a tellemarketing company. Was pushing insurance. Unfortunately they refused to put me on their Do not call list and argued over the issue.

id saus progressive Number was on id.Im also on the do not caqll list!

The caller id said Progressive, I assume they want to sell insurance but they never leave a message.

Was unable to answer. They left no message.

When I said I wasn't interested, they hung up on me. When I called their number to complain, I was given two options to leave messages (included being removed from the do-not-call list). With either option, I heard the message "mailbox full."

stella was selling business services. i advised that i was on national do not call list but she did not seem to care. got nasty with me so i hung up on her.

Called on two of my business numbers. No one there. My solution is this...go buy yourself a loud whistle. Keep it by the phone. When you get these annoying people, say "Hello...can you hear me?" in a soft voice. This will prompt them to turn up the volume on their headset. Then take a deep breath and blast them with the loud whistle. You may get off their call list. You definitely will feel better.

They call at least twice a day. Nobody is ever on the other end.

Called but left no message on my business phone. When I returned call I received a voice mail stating that they were a "Telephone Marketing Co" calling on behalf of several insurance companies offering insurance to small businesses. I was given the option to remove my number but after following the prompts I received a "Telephone Marketing Do Not Call Mailbox is Full" message. They call continually and even ring my fax machine regularly. Very annoying!

They asked for the owner, I told them he has a new contact number, 1-888-382-1222 which is the number for the TX No Call List.

Asked for the owner, after she told someone else in the boiler room that she always mixes that guy up with the ROCK. What a SCAM!

How do I stop phone calls from this number?

I called the number. It's a company that offers insurance plans to businesses. If you listen to the recorded message, it gives you the option to remove your number. All you need to is to say your phone number. We'll see how it plays out. They woke me from a sound sleep. The "Do Not Call" list is a joke! Here's your federal tax dollars at work.

Got a call from this number this morning and they just hung-up.

We get calls several times a week from this number, They always ask for the owner or his wife, then they hang up without leaving a message when they are not available.

Looks like we have something in common. Mercedes called from the SBA as well. Busy Girl! I asked what SBA stood for and she said "Small Business Association". They call here relentlessly and any time I start asking for numbers or to take a message for the owner, they hang up. Not sure what can be done to stop them. Any suggestions?

Someone from this number calls everyday... ask for the owner I advised her that he was with a client she asked for the wife and I asked why did she want her that she could not reach her here and she hung up. this is when we googled the number and we have reported them before and nothing has been done...

Two calls in same day. first one identified self as "SBA" and asked to talk to the owner. Told them no. They do not take unsolicted calls. Second call was same number but hung up in as soon as I answered.

Boy, these people love me. I have no idea why. Christina called today. Did you know they offer the owner (didn't seem interested in anyone else) health insurance benefits? Amazing. Asked for a callback number, but still no dice. Kept her on the line for a while discussing the merits of having a callback number, since were my owner interested, "he" could call back. She did have the name of the local insurance agent, but alas still unprepared, she didn't have that number either. I think I talked to her long enough that maybe they'll take this number off the list.

I bought an incredibly loud dog whistle. I intend to use it the next time I get a telemarketing call from this number.

Okay, I guessed wrong. SBA didn't call on 3/25, they decided to wait until today to have Lisa call about individual health insurance. Lisa said they underwrite for several firms... That doesn't sound right, they are just agents. Still wouldn't leave a callback number...

This time it was Tammy that called. They never want to leave a callback number. Given the call history, I should receive another attempt on 3/25. I ought to start an office pool on when the next call comes in!

Hey, it's me again! This time it was April that called, and asked if the owner was there. I asked for the full name of the company (initially she only said SBA), what the call was referring to (Individual Health Insurance, is the owner there?), and if they underwrite the policy or someone else (Are you the owner?). When I told her I wasn't the owner of the company, she said she'd call back. Like she'll get someone else that will immediately transfer the call?

Mercedes from SBA called, asked for the owner. Asked for a call-back number, and they hung up. How can they sell anything that way? At least it was a real person.

Calls at least once a day and asks for the owner when I respond that they are not available and ask to take a message they always ask if I'm their wife. We are a corporation with 40 shareholders/owners and none of them are associated with the business. What a strange question.

Called back to see who was calling - then went to the do not call option - it said it was full. Unable to take my number off!

They call once a week ask for owner or owners' wife, ask them what is this regarding, then she said "GOSH" and hand-up, we call back and find out that is a teller marketing company using the name of "SBC" trying to sell insurance..., connect to the "REMOVE" phone number from their junk hit, the voice mail is "FULL - GOOD BYE !!!"

Boiler Room call. Call did not even know who she was with at first. She finally said Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. She wanted
to give price quote. They have called at least 50 times over last several weeks. My number is listed as a do.not.call but that never helps.

Called and asked for "owner of the business" I said what business? She said "the business you are in" I said what business? She hung up!

Kept asking for the owner. wouldnt say what the call was for. when asked what their name was they hung up the phone and said they'd call back later.

Yup they hang up on you just about the time you answer.

They call our business frequently, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. Caller ID says "Telephone MKTG," so we've never answered to hear their line.

same issue as most. ask for owner when i say no they hang up on me mid sentence.

They asked for the business owner, I said she was unavailable. Lady asked if I was her husband. When I said no she started to say "ok, thank you" and hung up mid sentence.

There was giggling in the background but no answer.
I said hello .. and then caller hung up. Got this call a few times ..but only answered this time.

Lady caller asked "May I speak with the owner?" I replied "No," and she said, in a threatening way, that she'd just call back. We'll have to wait and see.

I get a call from these idiots at least once a day. If you answer, there isn't anyone there. It is some sort of computer system.

I just called them back because of the advice, and asked to be removed. We'll see if they stop now.

On my cell, I ignored it, no message left.

Constantly call. I'm on the do not call list. Tried to be removed from list, but said their mailbox was full. Called back and left a message that if they call again I will report them to the FCC.

These people continue to call, don't leave messages.

I reported these criminals to the Texas and National Do Not Call Registry for repeated violations. I consider telemarketing to be a vile, disgusting, annoying and intrusive way to solicit donations, business and/or support. For that reason I will not have anything to do with any organization, business or person who uses telemarketing and that includes politicians!!!

Dont know who it is calls multiple times everyday everytime im hung up on when I answer I am repeatedly taken away from my customers here at my business to answer these hangups. I have reported it to the Texas do not call

so annoying, we have a home business, i answered..they asked for the owner, he wasn't here at the time, so they ask if i was his wife, knowing darn well it was the same people , i said no, they huing up immediately. these people need stopped .

These jerks called our company and asked for the owner. It sounded like a phone sales lady so I asked her "Is this a phone solicitation" and she said "No". I then placed her on hold to have her speak to our manager and she only held for less than a minute then hung up before anyone could speak to her anyways. What some loser idiots and LIARS!

They called us twice asking for the Owner. When I say he's not available, they say "maybe you can help me, are you the owner's wife." I say "no" and they hang up right away.

Have called us on on 1/9/07 and 1/10/07, no message left.

they asked for the owner and when I told them he was not available... they then said I'm sure you can help me... You are his wife right? Well that just made me MAD to assume I was his wife!

This company has been calling for years. How can I get them to stop?

They call almost daily. Sometimes they stop calling for a few days or weeks, then start up again with the daily calls. I've never answered the phone so far, cuz I don't respond to numbers I don't recognize (figuring they're telemarketers). I am on the do not call list.

Called at 9:24am EST on October 26th name on the caller Id is Lubbock, they called and hung up on when I answered our business phone number. This is a reoccuring number that hangs up when you say hello!

A LADY HUNG UP ON ME

Called me AGAIN today. Hung up on me when I answered the phone. Like Rob I have a whistle that I attend to blow loud and hard when they call again. I filed a complaint in August and will file another complaint with the Do-Not-Call attorney genereral.

My wife kept getting calls everyday at our business and they would hang up. I called back and got a recording. It's an insurance telemarketing service. It's automated and message says you can leave your number so they can take you off the list.
