How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

April 13,2010-1:13 pm PST-Caller ID Showed the number but not a company/person's name. I don't answer #s I don't recognize. That's the whole idea for caller id, right? Caller left no message. Other callers who answered stated it was SunTrust Morgage. I do have an account through them. Could be they're Internet/computer data base has been hacked again.

This is some kind of scam. I hung up and called Suntrust and they said that they would never call and ask for ANY info. If there was a change in your account Suntrust will send you a letter or call and ask you to come in.

I got a call today 9/5/08 from my cell phone. I did not answer. But I did call them back and I was put on hold. Then a gentleman (or not so gentle) answered and was like "can I have your loan #".... "no, I do not feel comfortable giving out my information over the phone, goodbye!" CLICK!

I got a call morning of April , 26 2006, I was able to see this 804 number, tried to call it back no ring, it showed that i'm connected to this phone.... I'm using a company cellphone and not too many people know his number.
I just received a call from this number. I do not have a Suntrust Mortgage account. Called back, dead air, no ring.

SCAM - Received a call at 8:30am stating that my SunTrust Mortgage was 20 days overdue and asking for my checking account information. I told them that I would call SunTrust to verify and she tried to insist that she was from SunTrust. I hung up.
Called 1/10/2007 @ 7:06 pm PST.
Claimed they haven't received mortgage payment.
If this was a legit call, they sure haven't. Isn't due until 1/16/2007.
Obviously a scam.

I also tried calling the number back and got dead air, no ring. I previously got calls from Suntrust, shown as unavailable and when I called them as I have an account there, was told it must be promotional. They put me on a do not call list with them and now this.
I have a SunTrust Mortgage. Is this from them? I tried to call back the number but I got dead air and no dial tone.
They call me from 2 different numbers. I called one back yesterday because it was from Suntrust 'Collections'. When I called back they said it must be promotional and sent me to someone else. He looked at my acct. and said there were no promotions available to me at this time. They call at 8.15 every morning and wake me up!! I work late but need to leave my phone on because kids are at school.
They called, asked for my husband, asked for another number he could be reached at, told me my address and hung up. I see Suntrust on the name as "Who Called" and it could be them. We had car that was leased through them that we just turned back in and we're waiting for final information on amounts due.
Same as Brandon, it is a spam, tried to call back but couldn't make through, no answering ring at all, very weired. How can this happen?
