If I didn't think my identity would be stolen, I would call back and just mess with these people like they're messing with us.
I just got this call but didn't have a chance to get to the phone in time. The number is a brand new number, so I don't think it has been sold. A few months ago I received a call from this same group, but it was out of Las Vegas. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with them, going through all of there mumbo-jumbo with absolute no intention of buying (I was in the middle of a two hour commute and I didn't have anything better to do). It got down to the end and they wanted me to pay over the phone. I asked for everything we had talked about in writing, and they said they didn't do anything in writing. I told them it was too bad, because I didn't do anything over the phone. They hung up on me. It turned out exactly the way I thought it would, and helped kill 30 minutes of my commute.
I reported the nr to FTC at ftccomplaintassistant.gov
Didn't answer, I was conducting a therapy session.
According to Google phonebook, the number is listed to Lee and Michael Grillo, 18 Maple Road, Williston VT 05495.
Send your junk mail to them accordingly.
I get several calls a day on my home phone with an "auto warranty is about to expire" scam (going on almost two months now). Now the schmuck has started calling my cell phone!
I'm so tired of these warranty calls. Day in and day out, especially on my cell phone. I'm not sure where they get the phone numbers. The only people that have my cell phone number are my immediate family. I use it as an emergency phone when the kids are at school so I can leave the house. I've never given it to anyone else. I wish there was a way to make these calls stop.
Scam! I'm from Austin, and I got a phone call from this person. They said that the warranty on my car has been expired. My car is 18 years old, I never got a warranty when I bought it. I looked up the number and it came up as a person named Lee Grillo from Vermont. The address is a church in Vermont.
didn't answer. Funny to read other comments...my car in an '86 mustang...
Same scam as the following numbers (They will only take your money):
918-375-2671, 615-563-7877, 770-894-4718, 256-878-3099, 505-753-6045, 877-493-9557, 802-848-7489
I wonder how they get all these numbers.
i got 3 missed calls from this number today.
Using Google, I traced the call to Michael and Lee Grillo of 18 Maple Rd, Williston, VT 05495 A recording alerted me to the fact that my auto warranty was about to expire. I hung on and spoke to the rep who informed me that the vehicle warranty of my car of unspecified make and model year was about to expire. I asked him to be a bit more precise and to tell me what kind of car I had. He instead asked me if I wanted to renew. I again asked him what kind of car I had and he hung up.
They call my house phone (unlisted) my cell phone and my work cell. All the same thing no message and no anwser on return calls. So here I am at the same place as every one else. I wonder if they actually hook some of there callers.
Called cell phone (which is illegal). My car is 18 years old. This is a scam pure and simple.
what the twat make them stop calling me everytime i call them back its busy i put in to have my number removed off of the phonebook so that better happen fast cause this junk is annoying
No message. New cell. Don't know anyone in Vermont... interesting to google the number and come up with this site...
just got a phone call from these guys -- a voice recorded message saying my warranty was about to be up -- my car is very old and second hand, definitely don't have a warranty on it. Scammers.
alo got a call from this # at 5:56pm on 07.09.08
Did not answer and they left no message, hence how I ended up here.
recieved this call on 7/9/08. Said they were from "vehicle services incorporated", and they wanted me to extend my warranty. Checked the phone # right after i answered the call and found this site. so i strung them along for 15 min, and right when they wanted my financial info, i told him "i knew this was a scam the whole time, whos the sucker now?" then he got mad at me for not falling for the scam (how does that happen?) and said "F*CK YOU" and hung up. i do this all the time and its funny as hell. besides, the longer you keep them on the phone, the less people they can try and scam.
These a**#oles are merciless. They have been calling every day for months. Scum of the earth.
Dunno which cell these lunkheads called (I have two, one is a Verizon Wireless cell which has a limited number of minutes and was forwared to my other cell, a Sprint cell with an unlimited account on it), but in any event, this is direct violation of Title 47
Did not answer
i just got a call from the same number, when am trying to cal back phone was busy :-(,
Calls come from various 802 area code numbers. This one left a voice mail which was a partial recording saying to press '1' now for information about my vehicle.
Didn't pick up, no message.
Received automated message about expiring warranties and was transferred to a telemarketer who promptly hung up when I asked why they were cold calling my cellular number.
Not sure how my phone number was obtained. They did not leave a message. I only got a missed cal but I see that the 802 area code is out of Vermont.
This place will not stop calling all 4 of my lines. At least a couple times a week. This is very disrupting
Didn't pick up
I received this call on my cell phone. There was no Caller ID besides the phone number itself. My co-worker sitting right in front of me got a call from them yesterday on his cell phone, too. Neither one of us answered since we don't answer calls we don't recognize.
As a precaution, I had already put my cell # on the national do-not-call list, so what gives?
I got this call on my cell phone. I didn't bother answering it--I don't accept calls without caller id or not having the number already in my contacts list. They didn't leave a message. I just found the number in this website. Call was logged at 2008-07-09 5:55 EST.
Got a call from this number on my cell. Didn't pick up.
Presumably illegal call to my cell phone.
Some recorded message about satellite TV service. I quit listening after the first few seconds.
I got this call on my cell phone. I didn't bother answering it--I don't accept calls without caller-id or not having the number already in my contacts list. They didn't leave a message. I just google'd the number and found this website. Thought i'd add a data point. Call was logged at 2008-07-09 14:35 PST. Other websites list the call as coming from VT, USA (my phone data concurs with this). I don't know anyone in Vermont.
As a rule i apply the exclusive rule to phone calls too. I purchased my warranty and I know the expiration date.
I bought a car two months ago and have 3 year-warranty. What the heck..
no message was left; call back was busy..
Warranty Telemarketer. Add to do not call list.
I had the same problem. I called it back and all were busy... I do not think that I have a car warranty either
Warranty repair telemarketer spammed cellphone with a recorded message which got partially recorded by voice mail.
This number called me with a recorded message. They were mentioning some kind of car warranty that was about to expire. My car is 17 years old. It's a great car, but somehow I can't believe I still have a warranty. When I called back a lady said she was with "Warranty Division".
I tried to call number back from a different phone, but "all circuits [were] busy."
