Who Called Us

The irritating thing is someone this telemarketing firm has both my home number AND my cell number. Really sucks that I get calls on both. I now block it on my cell and ignore it at home.

These people do have a website, and they claim recent federal legislation allows them to call as a Research Company (yeah, right) therefore they are excluded from the federal Do Not Call List. This is just some loophole they are slithering through, but hope our government sees the fraud and corrects this.

In the meantime, they do have a website where it claims you can have your number removed from their call list. I tried it so we'll see. Here is the link for you - brgrs.com

2 in early morning, 1 in late evening nearing 9:00 central everyday for past three days. Listen a-holes-- you are lucky my foot is nowhere near your a-hole. You think that MAYBE I DON'T want to talk to you if I DON'T answer the friggin phone??! Duh.

They called me too ON MY CELL PHONE. If you read all the comments, one poster gives the name of the president of the company.

They call every few days. Caller ID shows BRG Research. Anyone know who they are working for?

I've had at least 4 call - most times when I answered they hung up but tonight they said they were doing market research for Bank America - I declined to particpate and asked that they not call again - I'll let you know how it turns out!

I have gotten this number calling often on my cell phone. (I have even gotten on DO NOT CALL LIST.) But knowone answers. So, now I ignore it. It says it is from Utah. I do not know anyone from there so why answer, if it is imporant leave me voice mail. I wonder how to block it on a cell phone.

After they called numberous times during diner I called them at (801) 373-9923 Option 4 and asked to be removed from their lists.

this number is currently being used to recieve vital information in the medical field. to continue to call this number, interups our message sequences. we were forced to report your company, and numbers to the FCC.

This number has called multiple times--on my cell phone (which is on a Do Not Call list). Never leaves a message and the one time I tried to answer it, it hung up. Fed up I googled it and found this site.

I work for these clowns. We're trying to do surveys (for several different companies), which are exempt from DNC lists.

Pick up the phone, and simply say you're not interested in participating. "No answers" and "Answering machines" will be tried again. Please be polite, I'm just doing my job, and will understand if you don't want to give me 10 minutes of your time. (BTW, time is all we're after. We're not selling anything. If you do participate, feel free to refuse to answer any questions you're not comfortable with.) Cussing me out just makes a college kid feel like shit, it won't affect the way you get called.

They said that they were from Capital One credit cards and started asking me for my info. This was phishing, Cap1 already has my info, they would never need to call me and ask me.

No one is ever there when I answer this number. When I call back, all I get is a busy signal.

Reporting several times to donotcall.gov and countless emails to the company ordering them stop calling have not helped!! They call at least twice a week, at times waking me from a sound sleep. I don't know what else to do but to have my phone disconnected!

Has called my number at least once twice a week since August of last year (about 50 times). CALLER ID: BRG RESEARCH. I have emailed the Pres of BRG company to no avail. I reported it to donotcall.gov. Still nothing stops them!!!!

Called about a Bank of America survey. I wouldn't take the call. Had called earlier & wanted a 5 minute survey on Sprint. Maybe we should stop doing business with these organizations.

I get calls from this number almost every week night. I never answer and they never leave a message. The caller ID shows "BRG RESEARCH". Their website ( brgresearchservices.com ) identifies them as a market research firm.

This number called me at work. They didn't leave a message but they called twice according to my call log.

Brandon says that his parenting poll is permitted even under the DoNotCall registry. I reported him since I disagree. My line blocks CallerId-blocked calls so watch for "BRG Research"

Yes, I'm on the DNC list too, but I still get calls from all sorts of companies. There's usually some loophole they get through.

They called twice this evening...once to conduct a survey on car insurance, I can't recall the other. Caller ID comes up BRG Research. I am on the DNC list.

801-705-5259 called me shortly after I voted. The girl asked me my zip code, the address of my polling station and how I voted. I asked on whose behalf the poll was being conducted. And was told the data will be used by a TV station, and that "the client wishes to remain anonymous." I told them my vote would also remain "anonymous." I live in CT.

Ditto as others. They are calling my cell so I refuse to answer and pay for the charge. They'ved call 3 times today. A-holes.

Got about ten calls from this number (listed as Off Campus Communication), 9 of them went to the answering machine and the 10th I picked up and they hung up. Very annoying especially as I am supposed to be on the no call list.

Got a call from this number today as well. Octover 23rd, 2006. No caller ID info at all..Just the area code as Salt Lake City.

This is an update to my October 12th post above. I traced the area code and extension back to the community of Provo, UT. The local police department has a tip-a-cop web page at link provo.org. On October 12th, I left a complaint on their web site identifying myself, my home phone, and details of the problem I was having with this caller. While they did not respond to my complaint, I have not had a call from this number since contacting them. Coincidence? Perhaps--but I figured it was worth the effort. Give it a shot.

Looked up number on reverse phone directory, does not give name, but says call was generated from Provo, Utah.

This number has called our home nine times from 10-10-06 through 10-12-06. They spoke to my daughter once and she hung up the phone and when I answered they hung up on me. This is at a very bad time. Our school has received threats that students will be killed (10-10-06 & 10-11-06). We want this company to stop calling!

I got caught in a phishing scam. After applying for a job as a marketing test subject, a company said, "What's your phone number. We've got a job for you." There was no job. All they did was give the number to another survey company who now calls me three times a day. When I call them, there is ony a busy signal.

This number is from a research company hired by Kentucky Fried Chicken. They are calling about there restaurant quality of food and service. If you have gone into there restaurant and have been asked to conduct a survey and you gave them your number, these are the people calling you back.

Called multiple times. The time I finally answered all I heard was a background conversation.
