called 10-01-2008 at 2:00pm told lady to take us off of their calling list b/c we are on the do not call registry.
called 10-02-2008 at 6:45pm answermachine message lady talked so fast we played it back 4x's and could only understand something about confidentally.
called 10-02-2008 at 8:17pm man spoke and i told him to speak up b/c i could not understand him , he hung up.
called 10-02-2008 at 9:19 pm young lady was talking so fast i asked her to please slow down so that i could understand her. she hung up. the only thing i heard was the word survey. this is after the hours of not calling. we go to bed at 9:00pm and get up at 5:00 in the morning. someone please stop these calls.

Read what was stated Brett Westernwats dickhead, "It does absolutely nothing to prevent continuous annoying calls from jerks who could care less." Any individual, company, organization, whatever, that believes it has a right to unilaterally and at will impose on someone's time, invade their privacy, ring their phone, etc. is flat out a jerk, or worse.

It does not matter if your on the do not call list! Surveys, charities, and political, and people not selling you anything can call all they want get your facts straight or shut up!

When you get dead air is when the auto dialer is connecting to you and if you wait for a response someone will answer its not some conspiracy to find out when your home, its computer lag! If you don't know what your talking about you should not talk! The more times you open your mouth the more opportunities you have of putting your foot in it!

Western Wats is the largest survey company in the united states and all the surveys are confidential to both parties! Big companies, political groups and market research firms hire them to get important public views! Most of the employees are college students trying to make ends meet so if you care at all about other peoples lives and not just your own you will take the time to answer the 5-15 min. survey and help them and their family make a living, not waste their time and cost the pay raises! Being a human being is not too hard!

These rat bastards just won't quit, every other day they call. The phone company could easily put an end to shithead callers but it makes too much money off of fraud phone callers, scammers, con artists, etc. They all use a phone. The "Do Not Call" list is a farce. It does absolutely nothing to prevent annoying calls from jerks who could care less.

Have received multiple calls...two rings...then dead line. Obviously 'autodialer' and they respond to the first call and leave the others in the dust. DO NOT ANSWER! They don't treat OUR time serious...and I don't respect their techniques.

Third call I have received from this number in the past 2 days. I answered this time and only heard a beeping sound. The previous times no VM was left.

I am so tired of coming home to these odd ball phone calls. 4 or 5 calls in a day. I ignore these calls. I do not believe I should have to opt out from receiving survey calls. My fear is that they would take my number and distribute it further. (if they haven't done so already) I did not give my number to anyone saying I was open to surveys. I don't get it!

Do I have news for you they changed their # to 1-801-437-3150> I called the number back it was on my home phone and I got the number as I could not understand the woman caller ID is Great no luck it sent me to the web site. Called 3 times between 7 and 8 PM and wouldn't leave a message.

Going up on there website i foun that they are a data collection firm, i called up 7 there is an ext. to leave a message to remove your no. from the calling list and thats what i did, lets hope for results...

This keeps calling - about 4 times a day to Virginia.

They called every evening for 4 days and I finally picked up and it was a lady who said she was calling on behalf of Kaiser Permanente and wanted to ask me a few questions regarding my recent medical plan with Kaiser. Then she just asked me two questions 1)are you currently enrolled in a deductible HMO plan with Kaiser 2)have you ever been enrolled in a deductible HMO plan with Kaiser... then she said thanks for your time, and hung up..

I hope that helps to clear up the mystery of who is cluttering up your phone's caller log. Yes it is very annoying that they block their outgoing caller-ID, but that's not the fault of the poor young people working as phonejockeys. Don't take your frustration out on the people who call, because they're already frustrated themselves. If they had any career prospects right now, then they wouldn't be slaving away on the phones for a pittance over minimum-wage. Most are students who couldn't give a darn about what survey they are carrying out, and this type of work makes them develop a pretty thick skin, pretty quickly. They develop what I call "personality callouses" so any foul language you might hurl at them just washes right off (and your rant will likely be recorded anyway, so don't be a jerk!)

On a sidenote to Western Wats: why don't you change your outgoing caller-ID to say "survey" instead of "unavailable"? If I see "unavailable" on an unknown incoming call, there's just Zero Chance that I'm going to pick up. But if I see "survey" then I get the option to decide whether I'm not too busy to answer a few questions. I'm betting that you only get a few "hits" per 1,000 placed calls. If your caller-ID said "survey" then I'd bet that you'll double or triple your number of "hits".

Haven't answered calls from this (and another similar) number, but they have been calling quite often, 3-4 times in a single day a few days ago.

I was not home and a msg was not left, but to Mr. "Enough Already" -- is this a way to do business? Whatever your callers are doing, saying or dialing is obviously a great negative. I think some training should be done or at least have a meeting and bring up this very webpage. Come on!

They call 4 or 5 times a day.... sometimes less than an hour apart. It is Western Watts. You can call their # back to be removed from their list, but the recording says 2 weeks. I blocked them on my VOIP filtering and they get a recording from my # saying their call won't be accepted. My phone doesn't ring and they cannot leave voicemail. They were so annoying!!!!

This number has called a couple times on my home number and cell phone. I just got my home phone hooked up 2 weeks ago and I don't even give it out because I don't have it memorized yet. But I did notice some of you said National City Bank and I just opened up a new account there last week.

I'm guessing it's a call center for National City Bank. The callers must look busy. If they find a number where no one answers, they'll keep calling it so they look busy, but then really don't have to talk to anyone ... or hear us give them crap for calling us. They're just trying to earn some money, so can't really blame the caller/messenger. They probably have a choice of doing that or living under an overpass in a cardboard box. Given that choice, what would you do? I don't like it, but that's what I have caller ID and voice mail for.

What's the sense of registering your number on the Do Not Call registry if they are going to still call you...and even better they call and don't say anything - always at dinner time. I'd rather be interrupted by someone speaking when they don't speak you end up muting your TV show thinking you can't hear them and there is NO BODY there.

Survey Group .. They called me today and I called them back. I got a message asking that I go to their website and fill out surveys.

I recieved a call from this phone number today and never picked up. When I tried to call back it wouldn't dial.

We have gotten several calls from this and 8016234631. They have left messages saying they represented National City Bank. National City has no offices in Utah. This sounds like a scam outfit. Have never answered or called them back but I did report the incidents to National City.

Call came to Waco, TX. Was on call-waiting caller-ID. No way for them to leave message since I don't have VM. Have seen this number on my CID NUMEROUS times.

Got a call on 4/27/07 on my business number, answered it...there was no noise or voice on the other end.

I have received several calls from this number as well as similiar numbers (801-623-4626, 801-623-4628). They don't leave a message.

Follow-up to my 12-01-2006 post, I followed the opt-out instructions on their website as noted in my previous post and I received an e-mail back from a Judi Williams saying that my number was added to their internal do not call list. Good news for sure. I hope it's true.

I recently had my oil changed and remember specifically that the woman mispelled my name (Christian instead of Christina). The woman on the other line asked for Christian but I told her she had the wrong number. It took me a while but I know for sure that's how she got my number. I don't really know why that place gave this company my number but I sure won't be going back there again and hopefully they won't be calling again.

I just got two calls from them yesterday. Did not answer left no messgae. There are instructions on their website on how to opt-out of getting calls. go to westernwats.com and skip down to opt-out instructions. I just tried it, we'll see.
