there were two missed calls on my cell this week from this number.

They call over and over daily and even when I answer, they still leave a recorded message of where to call. I am on the DO NOT CALL list and have reported them several time but they continue to call

i didn't hear everything they said but it sounded like they were telling me to call a number..then it hung up.

I received several calls on my cell from 801-542-3992 this weekend. One message said call Discover Card at 800-347-5539. That seems to be a legitimate Discover Card number. I am on the do not call list, so the original call from 542-3992 is a scam.

I don't think the lady on my voicemail realized she was being recorded. She said, "No, every Monday is dress down." pause, then "It hasn't sent out yet." Then she hung up.

There was a pause and then a recording told me to call an 800 number. I hit redial and Discover Card answered.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
