Who Called Us

I get multiple calls from this number daily, but nevers leaves a message. Thought there were laws on telephone harassment. Shame that there are so many ways for companies to beat the system.

Got this call. It is an out sourced company from over seas and they call to try and get info on you so you can be sent to debt collectors (most likely Chase but I swear probably B of A). The person wouldn't speak but I could hear a lady yelling at her children in the background.

got a call today, answered and some spanish woman argued with me about some followup inof on school crap, and I said, are you trying to get me to go back to school? what followup I never looked at anything, Are you sure? what you think I'm stupid take my number off your list and stop calling me...couldnt get her to shut up, I said go to hell and I hung up.

PLEASE WHOMEVER CALLS THIS ME FROM THIS NUMBER NEEDS TO LEAVE A MESSAGE OR QUIT CALLING ME. IF THEY DO NOT QUIT CALLING ME, I WILL CONTACT MY LAWYER AND THEN WE WILL GET SOMETHING DONE. ASAP.

Just another one of Chase Bank's phone numbers. Never any msgs left.

This number 801-229-2252 has called 3 times today and no body there. Iyt is real annoying and wish it would stop.....

Persistent pesky anonymous calls.

Called me SEVERAL times at my work office asking for Jowanza. Like mentioned below, when i tell them that there is no Jowanza here, and to take me off their list, they say "well, since I have you on the phone...let me tell you about a gret deal." The 'item' they sell seems to change each week...bunch of dumb amateurs in a warehouse somewhere cold-calling people. Since they don't seem to stop and ignore my DNC requests, I have taken to screwing with them.

After googling this number, it seems it's a call center in India. They have called my phone a few times, I don't answer. I have reported the number and am going to contact AT&T about blocking it.

My phone says this call came from Provo, Utah.

stop calling my damn phone

Several calls a day and when you call back, the number will not connect. When you answer, there is no one or nothing there. Who is calling?

Every time we get a call like this once then twice 3rd time they get a fog horn in their ear . And it stops it sometimes starts again but I have a don't answer list by the phone.And horn is in hand. Some day these butt holes will remenber this number and not call again.

I started receiving calls from this number on August 17. Today is August 19 and my cell has already received three calls from this number. It is very annoying.

I am getting these calls from this number, started after I agreed to work for a an online survey company call Paid In Box, I am not sure if that is the reason, But I have 2 numbers that go to one phone. And they are obviously calling from my 2ND number because that is my business number which makes you announce who you are and whats the purpose for the call before I am alerted to pick it up. Family and friends have the number which rings straight threw to me. Just wish I knew what company it was or if I am getting charged. Which I would see because my cell is Unlimited everything.

First started receiving calls over a month ago. Several times the speaker was a young female (hints of 'ebonic' overtones in the speech) asking for "Tim". When informed no one was here by that name (and asked to remove from call list), the speaker was polite but unapoligetic for the call. It appeared to be "debt collection" in nature...Subsequent calls have been without anyone responding on the other end - the phone is muted or it's a blind telephone exchange server deadend...When the number is called back, it rings once and then a message responds with "call cannot be connected"...I tried visiting the Quest website to find a point of contact for reporting the abuse of their service, and was unable to find anything for electronic email or webpost...The FCC, FTC, and FBI should be those notified.

before these calling outlaws started using a fake disconnected phone number trick to stop angry complaints or the ability to identify them, I called and got a live person: they are a phone call boiler room operation selling by cold calling , using all means to get numbers to call such as internet search engines to obtain ph numbers to auto dial; they would not give a name of the company I guess I caught them off guard enough to get this info; I asked them to stop calling me but they refuse I get three hang up calls a day on my voice mail and it registers as a message so I am charged for it; they did try to sell me a online school but I dont know all they sell

Started getting calls from this number at the beginning of the week and they haven't stopped. They dont leave any messages, and when I try to call back, it says the number has been disconnected. This is very frustrating. Going to report it to the BBB!!

Calls 3 times a day. They usually don't leave a messege but one time a little kid started singing. Stop calling.

these people call me 8 times a week for a month straight, I told them multiple times take me off of their list.

A man with a heavy Indian accent called my cell phone and asked to speak with Linda (my wife). The bill is in her name but only I use this phone, she has a different number. He insisted that she requested information online about reducing her debt - something she would NEVER do especially since we have virtually no debt. They must have gotten the cell phone number and billing name from AT&T. This has to be a scam ultimately attempting to glean credit card numbers or other personal data for fraud.

Receiving calls from these people daily for several weeks now. The few times I bother to answer the caller has very heavy accent and is impossible to understand. I try to tell them the person they want no longer works here -- doesn't work, they keep talking and I hang up. So much for being polite. I'm getting my police whistle out -- one blast on that thing usually stops them.

They call about 3 times a week. Message is in Spanish.

This number is calling me about 10x a day and sometimes at ridiculous hours. Sometimes they hang up on me as soon as I hang up, other times they just breathe into the phone (and I have timed the breathing, it can go on for about 3 minutes even though I am continually saying "Hello?". Shows up as Provo, UT on the caller I.D. We are registered on the DO NOT CALL list but it doesn't seem to help with these people.

Been getting two calls a day from these idiots for the last few weeks. Now after researching it, some say they are a collection agency, some say they are selling something. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, I guess I will just set this number's ring tone to "silent" and let them get tired of calling eventually.

Hung up after answering machine kicked in!

I asked this company two days in a row to stop calling me. I have written the number down and documented the call. This afternoon when they called I asked for the name of the company because I was going to report them for not removing my number. The lady asked me "What is wrong with calling you to invite you to my seminar?" I couldnt believe it. I told her what was wrong is that I have repeatedly told them to stop calling me and they are failing to do so. She told me I am confusing them with someone else and asked if she could have a few moments of my time. Unbelievable....How do I report them?

This is seriously getting OLD!! They keep calling and calling and calling, even on weekends!! Somebody has to find a way to shut these folks down!!

Name Provo Utah - called the # and network says disconnected, Phoney caller Id

If you wait on the line long enough, a person will come on asking for some strange name. When you say "you have called the wrong number", they say, "since I have you on the line, let me tell you about this great offer....." or something like that. They must think that pretending they are attempting to call someone, and asking for a fake name gets them around the "do not call" rules.

Because someone is apparently using this number fraudulently to mask their real number, I am attempting to report this call to Qwest. Their "Annoying Call Bureau" number is 1-800-582-0655. They are only there from 8:00am to 5:00pm Central time, which means they are closed for the day.

Doing a reverse lookup on this number on the Qwest web site shows it as belonging to the managers of a Circuit City store in Orem, Utah. Circuit City has been out of business for over a year. From Wikipedia: "The 'Circuit City' brand is now owned by Systemax, which uses the brand to sell electronics as an online retailer." So, the question is, why are we being annoyed by calls from a number that apparently was used by a store that has been out of business for a year?

It wouldn't be bad if it were a wrong number and the caller had the guts to say "I'm sorry."
No, the call is just disconnected and the local people give that damned "If you'd like to make a call" speil.

12 calls in one day i.e. every 30 minutes on my cell phone. No ID, no Answer. It has been like that for the last two days: it just does not stop !

I've been getting calls from Robert G. Allen for over 5-years now. I just got another one today January 19, 2010. After I said hello, there was nothing but dead air space which tells me it's a computer call phone numbers from a "list" that has my phone number on it. I wish I knew how the "do not call registry" works. I signed up years ago to have my phone number listed (which is supposed to keep telemarketers from calling)and it has only been marginally successful. I'll try one more time to input my info to the registry but I doubt I'll get the results that I want. Hey, thanks to all of the below contributors like "Nascar" and "Me". It really helps to have some info along with the call report entry record!

I think someone is spoofing this number on a regular basis (unless it is people at the company) The company that this refers to, or points back to is called QWEST. here is the entire list of info

I got a call from these guys about a week ago and finally got a live body who didn't speak English very well. Everyone try this ask for company name, persons name, address and a contact phone. Then tell the person on the end of the line you need to check with your brother, father, mother who ever who works for the FBI. If you get that far see how fast they hang up and never call again. Its fun try it.

please do not call 425-829-0277...I cannot remove you from a list as stated below. My number has been given by mistake below. I do not have a list, a call center or anything of that kind.

I just made a mistake on tring to report this number, I thought I was sending a complaint , instead it looks like "we" are calling . WE are not doing it. WE get the calls too . SORRY for the mistake .

I would like to know how they can call us from a " no service or non- connected telephone " . I keep getting them too . The one time I TRIED to talk to them , I could hardly understand the person, she had such a heavy accent , not of this country . I get them several times a day also .

Received a call from this number but didn't answer it. No vm was left, so I called the number back & received a recording that the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.

This number has shown up on our caller ID, with repeated calls daily, for each of the past 3 days; I tried calling it back and the number comes up as a number no longer in service. No messages have been left, but it triggers a call in our voicemail. Kind of annoying, but no clue as to their identity.
