How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Since I am single, work full-time and attend school, I felt it necessary to give my 7-year-old a cell-phone in case of emergency. These people called him 3x yesterday and asked for his mom. He told them (which he shouldn't have) his mom wasn't there and they hung up and called back. He was so frustrated in trying to do the "right thing" he turned his phone off. I tried calling last night and it went straight to voicemail. He told me why he shut his phone off (which is listed on the DO NOT CALL LIST), and when I called the phone company, they offered to put a block on this number for a monthly fee of $4.95! Finally they agreed to change his number, free of charge. As I tried to call the offending phone number the recording replied the number has been disconnected. Are we REALLY suppose to pay extra because our government allows this sort of behavior?
Called my cell, lady gave name as Katy for vehicle warranty coverage. Asked her where she calling me from said southern California. Asked for her phone number. Would not give it. Heard other operators in the back ground. Asked name of company said Customer Warranty Service. Asked how got my cell-said it was given to them by manufacture but could not say who. Asked what city they are at-hung up.

yet another call about my car warranty! This is getting ridiculous! 800-977-9554 SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE THIS STOP!
Samuel Parker of the "National Healthcare Association" called from 800-977-9554, but said to call him at 877-827-7861. He left a voicemail on an unpublished school district phone number saying I'm prequailfied for health insurance, but wants my basic information.
He said his name was Samuel Parker and he was from the from National Health Care Association. some sort of health insurance sales pitch, I guess.
This robot called me several times, offering car warranty, threatening that my car manufacturer's warranty is about to expire. Junk - they should at least make their home work better and say not "your vehicle" but "your Toyota Prius 2007" :-)

Left a message that said, "We're the national health care association reaching out to the uninsured." Well, I'm insured, so reach somewhere else. :)
