The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number,
All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want

They keep calling and asking for my husband, but they will not tell me who they are or leave a message!
Let the call go to the answering machine. They didn't leave a message.
The message on my answering was a woman's voice who said," may I speak with Ed ---- Helllooooo," then hung up.
Ahe sounded sarcastic.
When I called the number back I got a recorded message, "Thank you for calling Chase...."
I get these idiots calling me at least 5 times a day. I just answer and hang up. Finally I had enough, and let them talk to my Parrot. I tried not to laugh hysterically when the lady asked my PARROT if she could speak to me!! This, after my parrot had whistled and said Oooooo!! in the phone! I have a Chase card, but I signed up for the No call thing anyway.
Hang-up when answering machine picked up.
WARNING: The calls from 800-933-6004 are from criminals pretending to be from Chase Bank.
** DO NOT give them any information.
Telemarketers use a computer to make thousands of calls. The computer uses
Calls 2-3 times per day and always once between 6:30-7:30 EDT. Been going on for about a month now.
Foreign accent with quasi english read a long script trying to sell Chase Fraud detector on my credit card. When I told her to remove me from the Chase call list, she wanted to verify my address. I have to wonder if this would have confirmed her 'sale'?
Caller said hello then hung up. Background noises sounded like a boiler room telemarketing operation.
Tried the calling back and using their IVR menu to place my home # on their marketing do not call list- hope that helps, because speaking with them sure doesn't.
The telemarketing firm that runs this "service" for Chase subscribes to the "3 refusals" sales rule. If they do get a person on the line, the telemarketers at this number will not stop reading their script until you've explicitly declined their pitch at least 3 times in the course of the conversation (as a masochistic experiment, I've counted- on several calls.)
After that, it seems that even if you tell them not to make any more sales calls to your number, the calls resume again after only a brief respite.
I've been receiving calls from these morons for weeks now & have been on several pages where people have repeatedly said this is a scam number so since I have a toddler & the cartoons are on most of the day when I see this number pop up on my caller ID I answer the phone & immediately rest the phone in front of the television....they get a lovely combination of whatever cartoon is on & usually my toddler screaming & laughing along in the background.....makes me feel a little better
Designed for you to call back the number that you missed it will ring you for half a ring and then make you curious to call and then says to call a differnt chase number for a credit card!
been called since i opened the account. constantly. when i called to close the account, they gave me the number to get off their call list. 800-945-9470. oddly enough, there was no company name uttered during the automated process.
These calls are evidently from Chase Bank. If they hang up on you when you pick up the call, it's because a computer is making the call. It then tries to determine if an answering machine or a real person has answered. If it thinks it's a real person, it transers the call to a human operator. If it hangs up on you, the voice recognition program, not being perfect, thought you were an answering machine.
I get a call from this number at least once a week and sometimes much more than that. It rings 2 times and hangs up. Never have been able to speak to anyone.
Said was from Chase. Won't get any information. Was very rude. I hung up on her.
I get these calls several times a day, and if I answer, nobody is there. The don't leave a message or anything.
Mother answered phone but caller hung up before I could answer. As a result, I don't know anything about the caller or the company.
This is Chase Bank
They call daily at 2pm This is a FRAUD number claiming to be chase, call chase and report this to them as this number is not actually any chase number..I verified by calling the number on the back of my chase card! Because this isn't ACTUALLY chase, they will call you even if your on the do not call list! argh!
This number calls nightly - between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. I am also on Do Not Call list and will report this at that website (not that it will do any good). Thank heaven for caller ID - NO SOLICITING - what is there not to get?
This number calls multiple times a day, every day. Today I picked up and it was Chase Bank. As soon as I asked what the call was in regard to, the woman said she would call back later. I said I was not interested and asked them to take me off their call list. I am reporting them to the DNC registry and then blocking them. I also called the number back, went through the telephone tree options, and added my number to their do not call registry at Chase. It takes a few minutes, and you have to wait for confirmation, but it is well worth it to stop getting these annoying calls.
I work at home and this ties up my phone line with crap.
Here is what I do with all toll free calls coming in.
In the middle of the first ring I just pick the receiver up just a little and then quietly put it down.
I think it might fool the autodialer into thinking the number is no good because it seems to stop a lot of calls in the future.
There is no reason for anyone to be calling me from a toll free number.
If I could get my hands on these people, I would beat them senseless.
I have reported these morons to the Do Not Call site no less than 20 times since I moved to IL. It's not even close to the amount of times I've received calls either. Maybe three times more where I wasn't on-line or remembered to file a complaint. May I ask, what the hell good does it do to send a complaint? I'm guessing nothing. The DNC list does nothing, talking to the ignorant Chase people do nothing, being rude does nothing, hanging up on them does nothing and not picking up the number does nothing. C'mon. Someone at the DNC.gov offices has to have enough ammo to sue or fine these idiots.
if you call the number 800-933-6004 it does say chase and after several messages it gives you the opportunity to register your phone number on their do not call registry. i did this today 5/8/08. now let's see what happens.
caller id said "not provided"
This is an illegal business, appears to be an offshore cold call operation run from India.
Received call, no message. I called the number, answered automatically as Chase. Listened to choices (do not push any number for language) waited for the "add my number to do not call list" Did this, says it can take up to 30 days. This worked for me with a Capital One telemarketing. It is not a scam, just business telemarketing. Once you sign on with a credit company...use that card just one time...you are authorizing them to call you. Take the steps you need to. Call the number back and remove yourself.
Received call on 4/19/08 at approximately 1:24PM Eastern Time. Agent on the line spoke for about a minute describing to me about Chase Card's protection guard program. I advised agent I was not interested, and to please add me to Chase's DNC List so I do not receive anymore solicitations. Was advised to pay 30 days for my information to be added to their DNC List.
If, after 30 days, I receive another call from Chase, I will file a complaint with FCC.
I called the number and it is Chase Credit Card Services.
No message left.
Said they had taken over my Chase-United Air credit card account. Said I owed $400+ and that it was now on my credit report. They had last 4 digits of my SS number, and my name. Guy said he was Attorney so and so. I said I have to see the bill and he said he would email it.
We got this call today, and let the guy go through his whole schtick, to find out how much he knew about us. The facts:
- He said he was from Chase and wanted to offer some kind of fraud prevention service.
- He spoke very unclearly, and rambled on for a very long time in a confusing manner.
- He claimed he would be mailing us information, although at another point in the call he said the program was "so new" there was nothing to mail yet.
* He knew we had recently opened a Chase VISA card (though this might just be a lucky guess).
* He knew our home address. I chose to never confirm this was correct.
* He knew our last name, though he had it spelled incorrectly.
- He said he also would need to confirm the last 4 digits of our card number. I do not know if he had these digits already.
When I started challenging him, saying he should know all of this already, he wished me a good day and hung up. This is clearly a scam, in our opinion.
I no longer want these calls. THey are a real nuisance.
Have been getting 1-2 calls daily from them, though I never answer. Finally today I called the number back and went through the steps to get on their do not call list. It's all automated, so I didn't have to talk to anyone. We'll see if that puts a stop to the calls - they do say it can take up to 30 days.
I have been receiving calls from 800-933-6004 every single day, multiple times a day, for the last two weeks! Very annoying. I am going to file a complaint at the Do Not Call Registry's web site.
Just got another call at work from these jackasses. After 15 seconds of silence, some guy with a very thick Indian accent picked up and asked for someone who hasn't worked here for 30 years! Said he was calling to offer identity theft protection and a new credit card. I asked to have my number added to their DNC list. I even called back the number and entered in all my work phone numbers. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General, seems to be the only way to get these calls to stop.
Called me 3/21/08 despite my being on no call registry. Nobody answered after several seconds. Fine to waste my time waiting for a telemarketer to come online, but God forbid they waste the time of one of their paid telemarketers. Had a credit card with these people (Chase) months ago so I suppose they think they still have a business relationship with me. When will it end with these credit card companies?!?!?
it is from chase credit cards
No one on the line when I answered, have received numerous calls, and no one talks when I answer
Wankers, calling at lunchtime. No message, nobody on line.
Would not leave a message or say who they were
Tried blocking this number (800-933-2006) on my phone -- AT&T won't allow a block on 800 numbers....so, I called the number. Got a recording saying it was Chase Bank, yada-yada-yada; while listening further, they instructed to "press 5 if you want to be added to Chase's do not call list." Bingo! I added our number, they confirmed it, gave me an alpha-code (in case there are questions later?), and stated my request would be activated within 30 days. By the way, when I called Chase directly two days ago, nobody knew about this telemarketing thing, showed no concern at all that it might be fraud, and asked me if I wanted to open an account! I politely refused -- next time, I won't be so polite. Hope this helps someone --
Horrible...Everyday for the last two weeks at all different hours. Nine o'clock seems to be its starting point out of the gate. I don't answer, because it says "unknown". Will have to call and get off the list. Sickening!
I received 6 calls from 800-933-6004 Chase and I was hung up on and the 3 times i got a live person they would not tell me the nature of the call and would not give their name. I am on the do not call list and have asked them several times to drop my number yet they continue to call.
I am so tired of getting calls from this number. I never answer.
The just call my home from that phone #, they said nothing and hung up. I called to the phone and it is from Chase Mahantan Bank
Chase Bank credit cards telemarketing
This number did not leave a message, but since it the 3rd call we have received in 2 days I decided to call the number back 1-800-933-6004; It is Chase. I followed the prompts to be added to their "do not call registry." We'll see if it works....
Call the number back and follow the prompts and they will take you off the list. It takes 30 days but will end the calls. You don't even have to talk to anyone.
This 800-933-6004 nuisance has been calling my phone night and day for a month. I have finally wised up and blocked their call. Cable and privitized phone companies have a service called call screening. For cable company customers lift receiver, get a dial tone, dial *60. This enables the caller screening. Use voice prompt 2. Enter the number that you want blocked (in this case it would NOT work if I added a 1 prefix) After entering 800-933-6004 hit the # key. You will NOT receive any more phone calls from that number. Contact your phone service for your call screening code if *60 doesn't work for your service. This service works for any number that you do not want to call your house. The caller will hear that the number they dialed (your number) is not accepting calls at this time. Let them keep trying. Maybe if we all block them they'll eventually get the hint.
Has been calling twice a day for weeks, but never when I am home. I called the number and this is CHASE CREDIT SERVICES. I am on both state and national do not call lists.
man identify himself from Chase.....looking for a name not at my address. he wouldn't elaborate more.
I get 6-10 calls a day from this number. I'm sick of it!!!
THIS IS CHASE!!!!!!!!! To stop future calls, just call them back. press 1 for english. Press 5 to enter your number into their "Do Not Call Registry." You will be given a confirmation number.
No message. I called the number and a recording said "You have reached Chase"... "if you would like to apply for a Chase credit card hand up and dial 888-my-chase"
We are on the no call list and have sickness in the home. These people keep calling. WE DO NOT OWE AnYone.!!!!!
Donald R. Webb Kilgore, Texas We have had many calls from this number. Usually I don't answer but I did yesterday and told them to PLEASE remove us from their calling list. Put us on their NO CALL LIST.
please stop calling me
I called the toll free number back. When prompted, I was able to add my phone number to their personal do not call list. This frustrates me because my number is registered with the national do not call list. Why should I have to add my own number to Chase's personal do not call list??!!
Caller said they were from Chase. I hung up and called Chase. Chase is NOT affiliated with this number!
These guys have called my home phone 3-4 times daily for the past month. Just for fun, I answered it last week. It was a recording that stated it was Chase Credit Services, calling for telemarketing purposes. Then it promptly disconnected. I'm on the Do Not Call List, and I am NOT a Chase customer. Seems like a damned strange way to do telemarketing.
I did not answer, but they call several times a day.
Keep getting at least 3 calls a day from this number.I am on the do not call list, but seems it does not matter.
Did not leave message.
Called for my boyfriend, wouldn't leave a message, said they would call back or if he had questions to call 800-955-9286 (I think)
I have had 14 calls from this number in the last month. They will not identify themselves.Get extremely rude. Have asked that they stop calling - no progress there. The calls come up to 8:00 p.m. Like many others, I am on the "do not call list". Not doing much good here. Just filed a complaint with "Donotcall.gov".
They call me at least once every other day and have for about six months.
caller id says: unknown name. I'm on the donotcall list, so don't know why i'm getting these calls. Chase telemarketing. Press #5 to be placed on their DO NOT CALL list. Why the hell I still have to do this I don't know; and why the hell do I have to press #1 to get the message in English!??
We i didnt even make it 10 days and they are calling again , i guess they are SO F*(&^ing dumb to think that i am goign to answer a unknown call , let alone since i know it s from a company i have absolutly NO business with, well stay tuned i;ll let everyone know next time they call and , once again I Win!!! long live caller ID ;-)
Haha, I keep calling them back (they bothered me 3 times ina week), only way I can get to a live person is use the take off call list, i kept dialing zeros and it errored and took me to live person.
Here's the FUNNY PART:
I advertised my sites to them like I was a radio announcer, I advertised sites like FakeMagazineCover.com ComedySearchEngine.com and about 30 others with full descriptions. I have done this 4 times and each time they won't hang up on me, they just let me rant and ramble on, LOL!
Calls twice a day and never leaves message. Have retruend the call twice and I get placed on hold. Seems to be an automated system. After a few minutes, I was disconnected (both times). It is starting to get a bit frustrating asd I have no clue who this number belongs to. The caller ID only reads "800 Service" and below reads the numbers 800-933-6004.
I am getting calls from this number almost every day, since months. I do not want to be bothered by these callers. What is the use of the DNC Registry???
chase is pig vomit
would not leave message TOLL FREE SVC, called 4 times in the last week.
I receive to calls from this number daily. I also told the man, who did not sound American, that we were on the do not call list.
Chase credit cards -- every day this week
a return call is answered "Chase" -- Chase Credit Cards. Complained to donotcall.gov
Just pick up and then hang up they seem to call less frequently afterwards dont even ask who they are!
im so sick of these people calling me , i dont have any kind of business with Chase, im so glad i have caller id, tonight they called me at 8:30 at night , if i ever figure out where the hell these people are im going to sue the shit out of them for invading my privacy , dumbasses ,im so pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A return call identifies this as a call from Chase (credit card)
These people have called EVERY DAY for the past two weeks. I have complained to Chase personally, have asked them to stop calling me, have reported it to several bureaus but yet it doesn't stop. I will cancel my Chase Card if it doesn't stop. I've just called them and told them so.
Got forwarded from home number (listed on Do Not Call registry) to my cel. Nobody on the line.
Call them back and press 1 for english, and when they start talking again, press 5. Enter your number for the do not call list at their place and wait for your confirmation number. It will take up to 30 days for them to quit calling. I just called them today and had my number removed.
It's Chase Bank. I have one of their credit cards and they called with a pre-approved offer for another card. I have received calls from this number for weeks - sometimes several per day. I've never answered before today and they never leave messages. Once I figured out which firm was calling, I told them I wasn't interested, to place me on their DNC list and then promptly hung up! So aggravated I'm tempted to close the credit card!
I get a phone call everyday, sometimes twice a day, from 800-933-6004. I think it comes from CHASE.
They asked for me and I said Me no here. Indian call center.
Calls all the time, but won't leave a message.
They called when no one was home . They call many times and never leave a message.
3rd time i have gotton this call. Decided to pick up but waited a few seconds to say hello, said it 2x. Foreign lady asked to "speak with someone who could make financial decisions". I told her "I dont think so". She said thank you and we hung up. could be this chase place like others have said.
Just started receiving this call a few weeks ago. Haven't answered and they left no message.
Caller ID says CARD APPL CTR 1-800-933-6004. Understand that it could be Chase.
Have a Chase card, and also Chase took over our Mortgage. I really hate Chase. They
are so annoying!!!! They call way too much!!! Unfortunalty I'm stuck getting calls from them since
the DNC list doesn't apply in this case.
I get these calls all the time. So much for being on the National Do Not Call Register.
I called the number back and after telling me what their customer service phone numbers were, it gave me the option of adding myself to their own internal "do not call" list, so that's what I did.
I realize that you shouldn't click on a "click here to opt out of this message" link in spam, but I'm guessing that their do not call service is probably legitimate. We'll see.
This number has been calling for over a month now. Usually when I am not home. Last night they called when I was home and I answered. A lady asked for me and then said they were calling about my current car loan that I had with them (Chase). I don't have a car loan with them and told them so. The lady was nice about it and said she was sorry for the iconvenience. I called the number back and got an automated message, one of the options is to have your number added to their do not call list. I did that and at the end of the message it gives you a confirmation and states that it can take up to 30 days to be removed. Hopefully this will stop them from calling.
I answered the phone not thinking it would be telemarketing since I am on the DO NOT CALL list, but they asked for my husband by name and he doesn't handle any of the bills or anything to do with the house (since I am a SAHM and he is always working) so I hung up.
Has started calling every day, it will only ring three times so answering service will not pick up. It is listed as Free Servi on my caller ID. I picked up one time and there was no one there. I think it is a number search to see it there is a valad number. Picking up will verify that!
If they are trying to get you to sign up for identity theft protection for your cards- don't they have to get all your information?? No way am I telling anyone my numbers, etc.. They call two or three times a day and leave no message. Sometimes their call is followed by 866-747-0187. . .same place??
Who are these jerk offs ???
What's this crap about ???
I am on the do not call list. I updated the list about 3 months ago. This number came in twice in less than 24 hours. Recording says it is from Chase Something of other and givea toll free number for me to call. so chase gets none of my buisiness now ever.
No message left. They are constantly calling but never leave a message on my answering machine. I called the number back, listen to the message and put your phone number on the DO NOT CALL LIST. It takes 30 days to be
removed.
They have called me several times a day since last Friday and never leave a message
they asked for my husband I said he wasn't home the guy said "oh really"
so freakin rude!
I asked who it was and they hung up on me!
Probably Chase - these calls started shortly after I received a Chase credit card. I always give out a call screening number, They never leave a name or a message. The way I see it, if it were important, they'd leave a message.
Got Comcast Voice phone service????
Use Call Screening to Decline calls from selected parties?
To use Call Screening:
Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
Press *60.
A menu of options will guide you in managing this feature. The prompts will enable you to activate and deactivate the feature as well as add, delete, or review the numbers on your list.
Add their Numbers - they can't get through!!!!!!
I called this number back and got a recording that said "Thank you for calling Chase..." If you stay on the line there is an option to add your phone number to their "internal do not call registry" which I did. It was all automated and I didn't have to hold or speak to anyone, all I had to do was enter my phone number and confirm it. It took less than 3 minutes to complete the entire phone call. They say it may take up to 30 days to complete the process. We'll see...
I answered and I could hear faint voices in the background but the person calling didn't say anything. After about 20 seconds, they hung up.
I don't answer or do buisness with callers that have no ID or don't leave messages. Legitimate calls and buisnesses want you to know who they are.
THIS WAS CHASE BANK
Did not pick up phone.
UNKNOWN CALLER CALLS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK, NEVER ANSWERS OR LEAVES MESSAGE.
You would think they would stop calling as nobody answers them anyway. How would like that job calling people all day that dont answer?
I called the number and followed the instruction to be put on Chase's internal nocall list. The automated message says it will take 30 days for it to become effect, which means they can call me another 120 times!!! Damn it, telemarketing!
They woke my afternoon nap, and rather not to answer the phone call, c'mon this is saturday and they needed to respect us. What a ASS!
Unavailable
It's Chase
Chase just called me. I just moved, but before I did, I yelled at them for calling me too much. I told them I didn't want whatever account protection scam crap they are selling. I am pretty sure I didn't put this new phone number on the contact information for this purpose. I think I will report them to the donotcall.org list.
These People are a sexual pervert, they keeps asking me if I wanted to become a woman from man.
Several messages on my machine "hello there may I speak to [name excluded]. Hello, Hello?" Dont they know what an answering machine is?
Called back, it was chase. I went through the menus to be put on THEIR do not call list (Im already on the national registry). The confirmation stated that it would take 30 days to go into effect. Great, 30 more days of several calls a day.
they even called me today(sat), I simplify didn't pick up, just let it ring. Those bastard idiot calling me whole time!
is a toll free call , three time a day, how can i stop them?
They called me again. These idiot!
I was wondering when will they stop calling me, I mean, They been calling me on tues, wed and today. If the Chase doing this bad to me, I am going to bad thing to chase branch bank, so...
They're back at it in 2007. They call 5 times a day and I refuse to answer because I know they are only trying to verify residency and then sell my phone number to other telemarketers.
Here's to hoping you're entire company burns to the ground and you all die. I'm on the do not call list so stop calling. I don't want your crap.
They called me yesterday and today, asking me if I am interesting on becoming a woman by going on sex change op, I told them,I had no ideas on what they are talking about!Told them not call me back again.
uh! they have called 4 times today!!!!!
Called 10-08-07 at 8:45 pm..left no message
Calling back this number via Skype, says: "Thank you for calling Chase" in English, then Spanish.
They called at 4:59 AM!!! I answered the phone half asleep and nobody was there.
I get calls from this number several times a week. I just called the number back and it is Chase Telemarketing. I waited through the option s and there was the one to add my number to their internal do not call list, which I did.
Caller ID said card appl ctr. NO THANKS.
I believe this is Chase calling(again)trying to sell me ID theft protection, credit protection, etc. I'm cancel ling my credit card.I'm tired of being pressured to add costly services I don't need.
(800) 933-6004 called me today 9/27/2007 and nobody answered, so I waited 15 secs, and answered like I was an answering machine "this number is in the do not call list, please remove now" immediately they hung up!
Called 3 consecutive days at about noon, I never answered, no message left.
read the fine print on chases privacy policy . you can get calls from them or their assoicates , even if you are on the do not call list
i answered and it was chase bank. i just said no thank you , please don't call again , then i hung up . the calls stopped . how easy that was !!!!
this is bullsh!t, keep calling and saying nothing!
I called this number back and the recording said "Chase."
Weekly, they call at least once or twice a day. Leaves no messages and hangs up. Sometimes on weekends.
I called fraud department at chase bank, it is a valid number They said call 1800 945 9470.. (Chase's do not call list) stay on line till you get the conformation number. It says it will take 30 days.
An asian lady just called here looking for my parents. Wouldn't let me leave a message.
Obviously based at a call center.
Probably most likely Bank of America related though...but could be Chase as well.
would not respond... line then went dead.
No message left.
am on the "do not call" list. have told them several times. still get this call several times each day. and yes, we have a chase card.
Hispanic company looking for the guy who had this number before me. i've had it for a month and half and still get calls for him.
not only it is annoying but they read from damn scripts. i hung up before they're finished. fasting talking plus indian accent = can't understand a word they're saying.
already got the stupid id protection or whatever it is and they STILL attempt to sell me the same thing.
Chase telemarketer trying to sell credit card protector product
The BBB has a search feature in its webstite in which you could type this # to find out its origin.
Told them I wasn't available, they said there was no message. I am a new chase customer, soon to be ex-customer.
They call every day and leave no message.
Thank heavens for caller ID. We just don't bother answering the call any more. They call several times a day. Though I'm tempted to pick up the phone and blow an air-horn in it the next time!
I found this fone # on my caller ID when I got home earlier. Although caller ID says "Toll Free" for the information, this number appears to be a Chase Bank telemarketing operation. I called the number back and got a series of Chase Bank messages to call other numbers if you are applying for a card or want to ask about a card you have. However, they also spit out another option to put your number on their "Internal Do Not Call" list. I followed that option and supplied my phone number. Their automated system then confirmed my request and told me it would take 30 days for the request to become effective.
I get around 3 calls a day from this number to my uni dorm room. Nobody on the line
cont...
I called the number back and in fact it was Chase Marketing. There was an option to scratch your number from theirlist, but they stated it would take 30 days.
Received a call at 12:09 PM 25 Aug 2007. My son answered the phone, then gave it to me. The person on the other end ask to speak to me. I said I am he, then she hung up. Sounded as if she was Filipino. That when I did a search on the number.
caller ID showed toll free number. I am on no call and DO NOT WANT THESE CALLS............
They left no message. Caller ID displayed Unknown name. I am on the do not call list. I wish they would stop calling
they have called me every day for the last 2 weeks, i get really nervous every time they call!
800-933-6004 Calls at least two times a day for the last 6 days.
They dont leave a message on my machine.
Chase is a bad aggressive telemarketer. Don't answer their stupid calls at dinner time: 1-800-933-6004
These people are driving us crazy. Is it a scam? If anyone knows, please post it so all of us will know.
I called Chase fraud dept. this morning, 5 days after I got the call from 800-933-6004 with an offer for a new Chase Business card, and verified that a Chase United Business card had in fact been opened and that the terms were in fact 60,000 miles awarded after the first purchase, $60 annual fee... it seemed too good to be true after a quick search on the internet revealed that 60,000 miles would normally cost about $1,500.00 US, so I got suspicious. When they initially called from 800-933-6004 they wanted my SSN, DOB and an arbitrary password which I gave but a few days later I started thinking I might have gotten phished because it seemed like more info than they'd need from me since I already had a Chase Personal card with them. I'm still planning on putting a 90 day fraud alert on my credit just to be safe. My girlfriend wanted the same deal so I asked them for number to apply for the card, which is 888-428-2273, but I suspect you'd need very good credit to get the same deal. I had trouble falling asleep last night worrying about ID Theft, but I am relieved that so far this appears to be legitimate. Some times it pays to answer the phone...although rarely. The little extra stress caused by them will probably seem worth it if I get a free ticket to New Zealand.
They called, I answered, they offered 60,000 miles on a chase business card, we'll see if it arrives or if my identity gets stolen.
Just one hang up...after another...and another! I am so sick of this!
It is someone on behalf of Chase bank - they want to sell you payment protection/identity protection.
they called 11:34 pm. no message and hang up. two wks. ago, they called with different numbers: 223-051-6800 and 800-383-0583 (seems to be connected to Chase) with same no msg. & hang up.
Calling for Chase Credit Card Co. offering id theft protection.
It was simple to get removed from their list. Just call them back and follow the prompts. I hope it really works because they call me all the time. The caller ID say "toll Free Call".
I went thru the recording and its Chase- they give you instructions to be put on their Do Not Call list, but it might take 30 days. I'm on the national Do Not Call registry - why don't we get a classa action suit going!!
hung up on three ring
fvck these moth*r callers
Non-native english speaker. Grudgingly admitted that she is NOT a Chase Bank USA employee - she is part of "ICT Group" formed by Chase Bank USA. When directed to put my on the "Do Not Contact List", and told it would cost her company more than $10,000 if they called again, she knew exactly what I was talking and offered that I could call 10800-336-6675 if I had any questions.
No message. They just hung up. The time was 7:12 pm. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST AND I DON'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED.
Geez chase needs to go away im not signing up for the fraud protection!!!!!
This number calls all the time...we screen all our calls...they never leave a message...we are on Do Not Call list but it doesn't stop these people from bothering us.
I also called the number on the back of my card, and they verified that this is not a Chase number.
Thes people have called me for 4 months. Several times a day at first, now once a day.
no message left.again.
Will not leave message. I don't answer these calls. Called twice today. Iam on the "Do not call" registry.
I've been getting 1-2 calls from this number every day for the last week. No messages. It's possible that it's political fundraising, because once I clicked over from call waiting without looking and it was a John Edwards fundraiser. I'm also a Chase customer, so it may just be them.
very annoying, they call all the time asking for my husband or "the person who makes financial decisions in your household" even though he has told them not to call.
they have been calling me from this number almost every day; usually just about 15 minutes later each day. It was really funny the other day, I timed my answering machine to pick up right before 4th ring and they left a message.
Well, they didn't mean to leave a message, when they heard my greeting, they thought it was me answering the phone. Before they said anything, I heard a recording "This is a call from Chase for telemarketing purposes"
then , "Hello? Mr. (my name) ? Hello?"
I am receiving call every morning from this number.
HOW DO YOU STOP THESE PEOPLE FROM CALLING?
called, did not leave message, sucks.
got call from this # today. I didn't answer, and no message. I called the number back and it identified itself as 'Chase'. The automated system had an option to remove my number from their call registry, so I tried it... who knows
no message left
calls several times a day
I'm on the DNC List, but it keeps coming...
I agree with others who posted here. Since I signed onto the DNC list, I think I've gotten more calls from a variety of new numbers. I keep checking to make sure my cc payments are current and they are. I finally answered the phone and the pest insisted he wasn't a telemarketer, but wanted the cell number of another resident of our home. FAT CHANCE!!
Unfortunately call block doesn't work for 800 type calls. That's too easy and would solve everything.
Oh I wish my call forwarding worked to send the calls to the LAPD bunco and racketeering unit!
Someone I know tried to get me to feel sorry for the telemarketers. I'm normally a fairly gracious person but I draw the line at techno-home intrusions.
"Chase" guy offered me great rates (which I don't need), etc. Then verified name, address, etc. Then "just for security purposes, what is your SSN?"
I told him he had to be kidding and never call me again.
I answered quite sure it was going to be a scam. Sure enough.
But I was thrilled to find this site.
daily calls from this #
no message
Thank God I didn't answer the phone.
I just read something in the Do Not Call Registry FAQ. It seems that the telemarketers are required to check the list every 31 days to see who they shouldn't call. Do they really follow that list? Evertime they call, I enter the number in the DNC Registry. The more times I enter the 800 number, the more frequently they call. Today, we received *7* calls from this number: 10 am; 11 am; 4 pm; 5 pm; 6 pm; 7 pm; 8 pm. This is harrassment!
No message was left but they have called at least 10 times in the past 2 months.
Several Time, Once a day and No Message
I requested removal from their database but they are still calling! I am also on the DNC registry!
How ironic! The search for this number came up Chase and guess who's advertising in the "search" box? CHASE!!
Wanted my social and my mother's maiden name to confirm unauthorized activity on my card. Too bad I don't have a chase card. Definite scam!
calls from this number never say anything, they just hang up. weird.
answered and no one there. have gotten called by this number a couple times a day.
this is a shameless stalker, calling at worst times possible.
Per a recommendation on this page, I filed a complaint at: donotcall.gov and I suggest others do the same.
Blessings,
Ryan
alethiaacademy.com
I get the call and just
ignore it.
Are they identity thieves?
The caller introduced herself as calling "on behalf of Chase." Upon questioning, said she was calling from ICP on behalf of Chase. Trying to sell ID fraud protection for "all your credit cards."
Chase bank telemarker regarding new service. I WILL never get anything through the phone very annoying......
They call several times a day. Caller ID is listed as "Not Provided", which means my person-to-person interceptor doesn't even ring my phone. So, they left no message.
Multiple calls Caller ID says "Unknown Name" there is never anyone there,
chase credit counseling..i dont have even have a chase credit card
they call several times a day, every day. I never answer. They never leave a message.
do not talk to this number, they are trying to get information for a credit card from chase, but they are not chase. be careful
I called this number back and it answered (automated) and gave me the option to enter my phone number on their "do not call" list. It's all automated so I didn't have to speak to anyone. Hopefully it will work. I will report back in a few days.
error
Up sales of services on Chase.
These guys are identity thieves! I know they stole my identity offering a credit card. DON'T DEAL WITH THEM. This number is not CHASE. It is a FAKE!
They kept calling. When I finally spoke to them, they identified themselves as Chase Cards
Received a call indicating they were calling about my new Chase MasterCard which I had NEVER signed up fro. Said they were just calling to tell me about the Platium features of the card. Told me I could call 800-955-9296 to talk to Chase about this card (but looked this number up on the web and found these comments). They called me from 800-933-6004 with no name caller ID info.
They are calling 1-3 times a day. I work from home and this is very annoying. I'm on the useless do not call list.
I've been getting several calls a day from this number for weeks. It always says TOLL FREE. I never answer and there's never a message. I only just got around to looking up the number on the Net.
This is from Chase. You or someone using your phone number has been added to the Chase list. (Credit Application, etc) TO GET REMOVED just dial the number back and follow the prompts and they will remove your number.
Chase has been trying to call me for the past month. If it was actually important, they would leave a message.
I am so glad that I have caller ID now. They called us several times everyday and left no message.
Got the call too.
To stop future calls, just call them back. press 1 for english. Press 5 to enter your number into their "Do Not Call Registry." You will be given a confirmation number.
Chase sucks! I just researched about 10 numbers, and about half came back as belonging to Chase. I'm paying off my card as quickly as possible so I can cancel my account because as long as I have a relationship with them they can call me. I want to end this relationship and end the calls. Bad business, Chase.
They call here all the time and never leave a message. According to people on here it is Chase. I don't answer it anyway.
Received several calls from this number. Today I called it back, it was Chase,I stayed on the line and registered my number with their internal company do not call registry.
Called many times. Didn't bother to answer. And didn't leave a message.
Calls several times a day, no voice on other line. Blocked this number.
Chase security verified it's theirs.
this number calls my house constantly, we dont answer toll free #s
I'm on the do not call list, obviously these idiots don't know what that means. Not only that, but isn't it illegal to have an autodialer? Cuz IF I pick up nobody's there!!!
Many calls that I ignore - I finally tried to answer it and no one ever said anything. I waited at least 10 seconds saying "hello"
I just added my # to the DNR and as soon as I hung up, they called again! They want 30 days to remove the number from their database!
Chase is still trying to sell us credit card protection...although I did see from another site this might be a phishing scam...beware.
It could be Chase, or also a calling agency as some folks have reported it was firefighter fundraisers etc.
I don't answer these unsolicited calls, but they keep calling; sometimes as alte as 9 pm.
many many annoying calls that I will never answer.
how annoying are tehy!
There is a group in Colorado that is placing thousands of harassing (abandoned) calls to ... 800) 933-6004
Too many calls per day. Why can't anyone do something about that? seriously, this is America, don't I have a right to eat my dinner in peace?
Call came in on our new distinctive ring line. Did not answer, and DO NOT answer calls that are not readily identifiable with who is calling.
At leat two calls a day like clockwork at 10am and 8pm. I come home everyday messages on my machine "Hello, can I speak to (Horrible mispronuniciation of my name)?....Hello? Hello? Hello? Helloooo?" I also am on the do not call list.
I keep getting calls from this number numerous times a day till late in the eve!
I wish they would leave a message!
i've been getting 4 calls a day for the past 4 days. i'm really getting annoyed because i work nights and sleep during the day
They call every day - about 3x a day. Never leave a message and hang up after 3 rings.
this # called my wife's cell today. luckily, she missed it.
Do not call! Aggravating!
Keeps calling even though on NO CALL list. telemarketing!
Yep. They call several times EVERY day, including Sat./Sun.
Never pick up. They never leave message BECAUSE:
If you can set your # rings before voice mail or answering machine to greater than 4 rings, then they just hang up. NEVER makes it to voice mail -- they hang up after 4 rings.
Daily.
Relentless calls a few times daily - 7 days a week. But I don't answer "unavailable" phone calls. I never give this particular phone number to merchants, so it can't be from a merchant that I have done business with. I am also on a "do not call" list. If this is Chase I am going to threaten to cancel my 3 credit cards with them.
I have caller ID and am on the National Do Not calllist but they still keep calling. I just don't answer the telephone, if I don't know who is calling
They have called several times a day but never say anything. I looked it up and it is Chase bank. If you don't want the offer of credit card protection they never stop calling you.
I receive at least one call a day from these people. I never answer, they never leave a message. Today I've received two calls.
I Get these ALL THE TIME, I answer and nobody is there, or they leave messages on my answering machine that don't say anything then they just hang UP!
Chase telemarketing trying to sell us "identity theft protection". No thank you.
They have been calling all week, twice last night within two hours. I am on the do not call list, but I have two accounts with chase. They don't leave a message.
This Chase Marketing. They called me no less than 5 times a day. I finally called Chase cust service and told them I was going to cancel my cards if they didn't stop calling me. They put me through to their internal 'do not call' center and I had to register my phone number. It takes 30 days to into effect - we'll see if they stop calling.
I am renting this house. Today I answered their phone. After a brief wait was asked "May I speak with A... H....?" I asked "Why?" They hung up. Caller ID has the number above and "Tollfree Number". The ans machine usually have 3-4 calls/day.
I wish I can call their ass every minute and see how they like it...ring, ring, ring....ring, ring, ring..., ring...
I'm sick and tired of (800) 933-6004.
I'm sick and tired of (800) 933-6004. Don't they realize that people now in days have caller ID? Idiots!!!
I am on the Telemarketers Do Not call list and I have been getting calls from the above number for at least a week. 1/23,1/24(twice)1/26,and on 1/27/07 I received 3 calls one at 11:48 a.m then at 1:50 p.m. and the last one at 5:37 p.m, 1/29. Why am I getting these if I am on the list?
They call me 2 times a day 7 days a week. This is nuts! I regret the day I signed up for their card. They are constantly trying to get you to sign up for something.
no message left...probably one of the credit cards with some offer.
Called the 800-933-6004 and followed the prompys to get off their do not call list. It takes 30 days to process the request. GREAT...another month of endless phone calls!!
What ever they are heres a way to get back at them . Set up your FAX to call there number they leave. The Fax will keep calling a voice line all day 24/7 till it gets a FAX tone tieing up there lines for ever. Good luck this works great.
Calling back the number and going through the automated system to be put on their internal Do Not Call List does not work! I've called 5 times in the past 2 months and the bastards are still calling me 2-3 times per day!
Out of area 2007-01-13
Out of area 2007-01-12
No message left. I get calls from this number all the time and I wish it would stop.
Caller ID displays the number but when I pick up, there is no answer.
First call at 11:44 am on Jan. 08th, 2007. Second on 10:05am on Jan. 09th, 2007. The woman indicated that she was from ICT group of Chase and she was from Manila. The call was generated by auto-dialer. If in question, she said I could call 800-955-9296. She was trying to offer a credit card from Chase and would like me to verify some info. List my work phone number as home phone number. Sound suspecious.
no one there then hello will not tell who is calling when asked. I hang up then
The do not call list will not stop a company (in this case, Chase) from calling you if you have done or are doing business with them. If you call back the number you can have your number put on their specific internal do not call list.
Without a doubt, this number 800-933-6004 is from Chase U.S.A. I'm on the Do Not Call list as well and have been starting to get calls from these guys for a week now. I have no association with Chase whatsover. What's worse, is that these low life telemarketeers for Chase keep trying to call with a different number because they think they are clever and can trick you into answering the phone. FYI, Chase U.S.A. is also using the following numbers: 302-282-3000 and 888-858-9823. Don't even waste your time answering the phone, just make sure that you report every call you get from these bastards!
I don't have caller ID but for about 4 weeks I get one call a night and when I answer no one is there. Tonight I did *69 and it was this number.
I answered the phone with a "Hello", but there was no response so I hung up.
no message left
They calles at 2:30 pm and then again at 4:00 pm.
They've called twice and I've ignored them twice. No messages left. I'm on the do not call list.
I'm getting SICK and tired of "chase" They can...go suck an egg! grrr!
no message left.
5 calls on 12/13 alone. they have been calling everyday since 12/4.
3 calls in 36 hours. No response when phone is answered.
Chase bank, offering some kind of rewards MasterCard.
From Chase Marketing. Talked for around 15 minutes and offered Chase credit card. Let me see if I receive it or not.

Evanston, IL
Received a call from the number today. No message left. Called back and someone said, "This is Better Trade, are you calling to sign up?" I said, "No, someone just called me from this number and didn't leave a message so I'm calling to find out who this is." The woman said, "I'm sorry, someone has been using our number for telemarketing purposes." I asked, "Any idea how they do that?" She said, "No."
no name provided - I hate these people.
did not leave any message
12/2 12:30 PM PST
I picked up the phone and said,"Good Morning." Whenever there's a long pause/delay it's an indication there's a computer between you and the caller. Someone came on and mispronounced my name and I told her she had the wrong address.
"Oh, sorry sir."
Called me at 7pm, says Unknown Caller on the Caller ID and they didn't leave a message.
I'm also on the "do not call list," but I get calls like this all the time. The few times I have picked up, it was Chase Card Services trying to sell me credit protection. I say no every time but they don't make a note of it, apparently.
If you are a customer of Chase they can call you even if you are on the Do not call list just so that you are aware of that.
Six calls in three days. I have IOBI and block all calls anyway -- goes straight to voice mail. Only use home phone for alarm system.
They hung up before i could answer.
I got a call from an uneducated sounding woman with a shrill voice asking if she could speak to someone in my household who can make financial decisions. I answered her in an equally shrill vioce that she could not. I should add that she "may not," as well. If I answer these calls it will not be to have a productive interchange, but only to express disgust and indignation, like this morning! What's so terrible about having the ID show up when they call? I'd be delighted to talk to Chase if they didn't call anonymously. I am on the NDNC list. Chase is hardly non profit. In fact generally speaking, to say that Chase is usurious could be an understatement.
Got two calls today. Responded once. The representative provided chase credit card service information and asked for verifying but I refused.
Silence.... No recording... Nothing!!!
1 call 11/21/06; 1 call yesterday; 1 call today 11/25/06. I have no account with Chase.
They called 2 times today. Our message is generic so they don't leave anything. Just annoying if we're trying to take a nap during the day (sometimes I just leave the phone out the room I nap in)
does not leave a message & no one speaks when i answer a call from this #.
You can stop receiving these calls by calling back at the number that just called you. Listen through the recording, and the last option will be to put your phone number on their do not call list.
I called the 800-933-6004. It idenifies themselves as Chase telemarketing. You will have to enter your number and you are given a confirmation number. This is my second attempt with this number. I am on the "DO NOT CALL LIST".
I called the 800-99-6004. It idenifies themselves as Chase telemarketing. You will have to enter your number and you are given a confirmation number. This is my second attempt with this number. I am on the "DO NOT CALL LIST".
Chase is evil
They have been calling here twice a day, there is never anyone on the line, when you call the number back you get Chase's auto answering machine
NOBODY SAID ANYTHING JUST HUNG UP

Chase. They call WAY too often!
This number has shown up on my caller id twice a day for months now. I'm on "Do Not Call" list. I got so fed up with these calls, I put French on my answering machine and they can't leave a message, just announcement only.
Out of Area on the caller ID. There was no message. Date is 11/13/06. I am on the do not call list.
to update previous zip 80113 3x + per day rings 3x hangs up, even when answered. I'm on no call list

i keep getting this call recently, almost 4 to 5 times a day. So annoying!!! WTF exactly is this anyway? it says TOLL FREE NUMBER on caller id.
They have called 10 times in 5 days.
This number is calling me several times a day.. one day it was four. Thank God for caller id.
They call at least 2 times per day...only message left is " this is not a solicitation"...please call us at 1-800-469-0133 for an important message. They are relentless...we are also on the donotcalllist.
They call me A LOT! Has anyone tried complaining to Chase?
Twice a day for months. It's harassment no matter how you look at it. Apparently listed as CHASE PHILLIPINES.
I receive several calls daily from this number (Chase telemarketing) even though I registered with the National Do Not Call registry. I filed a complaint this morning at donotcall.gov
no message left on machine..
Toll Free Call and no message is left.
The caller was from Chase Credit Alert services. This is a credit monitoring service offered by Chase .
Unknown Name
Asked if this was my business phone. When I verified that it was, they thanked me and hung up. What's up with this?
No message left, just hung up.
ID: Unknown Name but I'm sure it's Chase harassing me like they do several times a day
no message left
Thank God for caller ID. I will never, and have never, given anyone money over the phone. If everyone would just let these morons ring and reach no one, they would be out of business

I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. I DO NOT WANT TO BE CALLED. THANK YOU
The "American Association of Fire Fighters...blah blah blah" was calling to solicit "for the burned children". Wow. Since a simple Google turned up no such organization it's pretty safe to say this is either a group so small that 95% of collections goes to overhead, or a scam. Also had calls from Chase at this number as well, so this is certainly a call bank/service.
They called 6 times between 9 am and 7 pm on 8/18. Aggravating!
i received this call on 08/17/2006. My caller id displayed "toll free number" I hate telemarketers.
