How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.

Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I called them back and actually got thru to someone. They call our new house phone every day. I gave them ref number and they asked if I knew "michael". She finally gave last name after I demanded it and then said they have the wrong number. I told her to mark it and quit calling. Hopefully this works!
Called me and told me I owed for a bill I don't owe! Paid the hospital last year. Faxed over copied check hopefully it stops calls.
Been getting these bogus calls as well. The company is United Collection Bureau. They claim we owe a medical bill but we dont. I have found that according to the FDCPA if you fax them and or write them a certified letter with a demand to stop all electronic comunications to (insert #) they by law have to quit calling, this does not stop them from sending mail through the USPS but atleast it ceases the calls. If this company fallows the law anyway.
I did some research, called them and asked them for thier mailing address and fax number. At first they were reluctant to give it to me without a ref number but I simply repeated my request for the information and got it from some woman who sounded like she was in India or some other country.

Just type up a request/demand and shoot away. I usually set my fax to resend it about 10 to 15 times just to annoy the hell out of them and to insure they get the message.
had a call on 11/30/2009 from 800-876-6729 with a recording. They did not say who they were but left a ref#. I called this number back and got a recording saying ucd. I believe that if it is a collection ageny, that they should be required to say who they are with before leaving a number and reference number.
Apparently this is an unscrupulous bill collection agency called United Collection Bureau. They do not list a phone number on their website, BUT they do have an e-mail address: questions@ucbinc.com. Maybe we can be as annoying to them as they are to us! Plus, we would have something in writing that we had attempted to respond to their request when reporting them as violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act!!
They called and left a message to call back. I am never sick and if this is for a medical bill, they are sadly mistaken. The number only comes up as 419...no other numbers appear on caller ID. Wish they would leave me alone.

Apparent collection agency giving a reference number to supply when returning the call. Automated dialler. Dialler asks for the person desired and offers a response to indicate you are not ther person sought. This is left on a voice mail message, if call is not taken.
Keep getting this message sent to my phone but the name the are asking for is garbled and unintelligible.
Got a voicemail, asked to call me back. No idea who or why. Will post later.
as best as i can tell, this is a collection agency used by oakwood hospital labs...so if you have not paid your lab bill expect a call from this number.
