Another call with no message left.

This is Dell Computers. I have a Dell notebook which had a three-year warranty. They want to sell me another expensive warranty. I'll take a chance since they would not come down on their price.

This was a foreign lady with an accent I could barely understand, calling me AT WORK to try to sell me an extended warranty for my Dell computer.

This is Dell extended warranty department.

If Dell has any brains at all they'll google this phone number. I bought a computer as a gift for someone. I don't even have the dam thing! These people call continually (3 to 5 times a day)! Thank you "K Tuba" for working so hard to get the opt out address. I went on and "opted-out" a few days ago but I'm still getting calls. I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy from DELL again. The reason their is no-one on the line when we answer is because they are making millions of calls an hour and wait to get a signal before they know someone has answered. When I finally got someone to answer (I just picked up the phone and hung on until someone else said hello), it was someone from India whom I could not understand at all. I asked her not to call me again and she went into a speech about calling but I only understood every third or fourth word. Why can't dell hire people in the country in which the potential customer resides? Oh, I know, it's because they can pay people nearly nothing to annoy us instead of paying minimum wage to competent people we might be able to understand! When I was purchasing, I specifically de-selected all the boxes that asked if I wanted to receive information about specials and warranties. So Dell, you've sold your one and only computer to me. If I ever buy a new one, I will go elsewhere and I will definitely not buy a DELL

If I didn't check up this web site, I provably answered the phone and had a hard time to refuse their offer. I'm really sick and tired of hearing this call ringing, day and night. Already three straight morning, I woke up by this phone calls. No one wants to be waken up by 800 numbers in the morning.

This is Dell trying to sell extended warranties. They call an average of once a day. We've told them at least once a week that we do not want the extended warranty and also that we will NOT buy another Dell computer. Obviously, it doesn't matter to them. They continue to call. Would like to have a legal means of stopping the harrassment.

I don't answer unknown calls but I did purchase Dell laptops a couple weeks ago. If I would have known about the harassing phone calls.... I would have never made the purchases. Now I know what will happen in the future.... Bye Bye Dell!

She just called again, rudely yelling HELLOOOOOO at the answering machine, over and over. What is the matter with these people!

2009-11-16 20:37:02 UTCLynne

It's annoying. I will not answer any calls from "unavailable." It is a female caller who will not leave a message, she just goes "Hello? Hello? Hello?" to the answering machine.

2009-11-13 15:05:10 UTCAnne

Call and don't leave message on machine.

2009-11-12 23:51:05 UTCyes

Another call. 1:32 PM.

Wife bought a Dell a month or so ago. I opted to NOT recieve their e-mail solictations, but that didn't do any good, either.
They keep e-mailing me, and now calling. I had bad luck with them last time we bought a confuser, next time I build one.

I rerceived a call from 800-847-4045. I do not answwer any toll free calls.

I dialed back and it is Dell selling extended service warranties.

2009-10-21 22:49:28 UTCDCS

Caller ID says "Unavailable", but another site identifies them as "Dell Computer Warranty". Sounds like a scam to me!

2009-08-12 20:06:08 UTCMarie

See number on caller ID, I've stopped answering it.

2009-07-29 23:03:56 UTCJJSLA

Just hangs up on answering machine. We don't answer unidentified callers. Now that I know it's Dell, maybe I'll answer it just to end the calls.

2009-07-22 21:11:42 UTCRhonda

The voice prompt stated this number was Dell extended warranty service.

2009-07-09 15:30:35 UTCRobin

No one is actually there. Just silence.

2009-06-02 23:21:31 UTCSteve

They were trying to sell extended warranty service on a laptop I bought from them last year.

2009-05-31 16:23:57 UTCBunella

they hang up on answering machine

2009-05-23 22:41:28 UTCIsland home

I recently bought Dell, but will never respond to unidentified callers. I will block the number.

2009-05-13 14:52:41 UTCRon

I like my Dell, but do not like 1-800 hang ups

2009-04-21 19:53:24 UTCBCALAK

About the same time yesterday. Answer the phone and no one's there. They apparently don't know how to use an automatic dialing system.

2009-04-08 15:19:45 UTCDave

Back-to-back calls with no message.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
