Who Called Us

They've called repeatedly! They are from HSBC I pay online and for whatever reason, the payment is pending (I know I have $$ in the bank), the payment was pending - exactly ONE DAY late! I think sometimes they hold the payment, even if you've scheduled it on time, so that they can charge a late fee. :-(

I am tired of getting calls from these people. It happens three times a day. I am really annoyed with it.

AS OF 05/01/2013 IS THIS CAPITAL ONE. THEY TOOK OVER ORCHARD BANK. THEY CALLED AND HUNG UP WHEN I ANSWERED. I CALLED BACK AND THEY WERE TRYING TO COLLECT $25 FOR A PAST DUE PAYMENT. FUNNY, THEY WANTED TO VERIFY MY PHONE NUMBER BUT IF I'M RETURNING THEIR CALL EVIDENTLY THEY HAVE MY CORRECT NUMBER.

Multiple calls, don't know who they are. That kind of info looks like a debt collector, and I see HSBC on here, but we don't owe them any money, nor Capital One who just bought them out, so I don't know why they are calling and not leaving messages.

I have been on the receiving end of these "wonderful" people up to 7 times per day starting at 8:30 am central time and ending at 9:00 pm central time - no messages left, and when you answer there is no one there.... Anyway no unpaid debt here... so wonder "who" they are looking for, unless you tell me I cannot tell you have dialed the wrong number....

maybe mr "pay your bills" has never had hard times where they literally cannot pay your bills....lost a job, had medical expenses...whatever....why dont you shut the heck up and worry about yourself and stop judging others who are having a hard time, jerk.

Ryan, I don't know where you got your ''understanding'' of a ''$1,000 per incident fine''. $1K is the FDCPA statutory damage cap, awarded to a winning plaintiff *per action*, not per violation. FDCPA applies only to a third party debt collector, which a lender is not. You would have to catch an original creditor (OC) posing as something it's not before you have a FDCPA claim.

If you still want to litigate against the bank's collectors, you'll need a state collections law which covers an OC. You can also see if you have claims under TILA, UCC, or deceptive trade regs. Don't expect to get rich, though. Capital One bought most of the HSBC credit card portfolio this Spring, which includes the Orchard accounts, and they looooove going to court and punishing their debtors.

All said, keeping careful records and reporting to the FTC and attorneys general make a healthy response to a huge problem, mainly the general lack of control over hostile in-house collectors. Ten calls a day on average is difficult not to paint as annoying and possibly violating your rights. You would be well advised to send the caller a ''cease communication'' notice via USPS Certified with return card. This will raise future incidents to harrassment, thus to clear a path to a civil damage award. Maybe your state can impose a criminal penalty as well.

Since 9-19-12 gotten phone calls (upwards of 60 since I started keeping track of the number) from this number than invariably at least two calls come from an unknown caller. they don't leave a message. we rarely answer the phone regardless of who calls. i am now taking pictures of the date, time, and phone number so that when i have received 100 calls from this number, i will be filing a complaint with the FTC. At the rate this number calls, it shouldn't take more than a week. My understanding is there is a $1,000 per incident fine that will pay for our next vacation.

Your caller is not going to dutifully study random forum complaints and cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. You will not get compliance with your orders until you deliver them DIRECTLY to your caller.

Message only says enter the last 4 numbers of the credit card number when you call it back. It cannot be blocked. I don't know who this is but they call constantly. Please stop these calls!

Received calls twice 11/29/11, no one would say anything!

They called twice today 1 min apart. I have a landline with caller id and no ringer, so my phone doesn't ring! The bottom line, if I know who you are, I answer the phone. If I don't know who you are or you block your id, then you can just sit there and listen to line noise cause I'll never pickup. I've had scam numbers call me for YEARS and I've NEVER ANSWERED THEM. Not even once. You would think that after calling the same number for 3-4 years that they would just give up on that number and move on but no, they are idiots and they keep calling. My cellphone has a blocklist so if they call there, into the blocklist you go!

i have never given my cell phone number out. i just got it in march 2011. they filled up my voicemail with hold music twice when i left my cell phone off (what i there was an emergency in the family ???) when i left my cell phone off. if i reject call they dont leave message. and i start my outgoing message with SIT tones. havent had a message in my cell voicemail when i not answer cell phone. in fact i have a ringtone that is silence. every now and then i see if someone IMPORTANT called. nope. just them. much more of this and i will get my cell phone number changed. i only use it for outgoing calls..i dont want to call from other than a pay phone and i cant find one anymore to tell em that there is no way the call is for me (in fact one caller asked for jah-el sp? ... not me !!!).

i think, according to the FDCPA, it is illegal for debt collectors to call cell phones as it makes the amount owed higher having to spend cell phone $. basically it is making the debt more without going through proper legal channels, which is a no no. so tell them they are calling a cell phone and you think they are in violation of FDCPA since its costing money to talk to them.

btw: Once a debt passes beyond the statute of limitation in your state, a debt collector no longer has the right to sue you for payment. You may still have a moral obligation to pay back an old, forgotten debt, but you can't be sued over it. Any debt collector who threatens to sue you over a debt that is beyond the statute of limitation in your state is in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Just for the heck of it, called this # blocking my own (and calling from a fax line). Robotic voice answers "Card Services" and then asks you to enter your card number!! Does anyone on earth actually FALL for this scam??

I never had any such accounts with HSBC Orchard Bank - got the harassing calls from 8 11 am to 8 49 pm - logged 14 calls from Dec 29 2010 to Jan 5 2011 even though pointing out the fact that those motormouths were barking up the wrong tree just because they had the wrong person since my phone number was in use for six years
and for some reason they kept calling me they claimed that they had deleted me from their calling list three times

If Household is collecting on its own account you may or may not have state laws to help you with the nuisance calls. I believe Texas and California helpfully apply FDCPA-like rules on first parties.

When their recording answers, and asks for you account number, do and say nothing, their recording asks for your number again, do and say nothing again, their recording will then say, they will connect you with a person.

When they connect you with a person, F*CK AROUND WITH THEM, like, tell them YOU are with "Card Services" and ask them for THEIR account number, or, give them a list of random numbers, or, pretend like you speak a foreign language, or, just stay silent until they hang up, then, call back again and do it all over.

I have answered the phone many times and recieved a recorded message that says "we have an important message for you but all of our agents are busy. Please stand by." I hang up. If you want to speak to me, talk to me when I answer. If this is HSBC I do have an account, but it is not in arrears. And the number of calls is enormous. And enourmously aggravating.

In th past several weeks I've received approx 50 calls from this number starting at 7am in the morning. I attempted to get someone to tell me what they want from me and to please stop calling my home but I got nothing in response. Household bank calls sometimes 7 times in one day. They are harrassing and conducting business in an illegal manner. Federal Trade Commission needs to be notified of their practice by everyone that's being harrassed by them. FTC takes these complaints very seriously as the laws are extremely strict regarding credit card companies and the kind.

Generally, this number does not leave a message. When I have been home to answer the call, a recording comes on telling me "You have an important message. Please hold for the next available representative." Then, without identifying themselves, the caller comes on and asks for Denise. Um, I don't know anyone named Denise. I tell the man this and he says "Oh, this must be her old number. We'll remove you." That was about fifteen calls ago. Still calling, still wanting Denise. I've written a letter to them insisting that they remove the number - sent it by certified mail. I'll report on the results.

Recorded pleasant voice states "We have an important call for you but all of our representatives are busy. Please hold for the next available representative." Then a woman's voice screams PLEASE!!! in a terrorized tone of voice. Then the line goes dead. If this is a credit card company, they should be sued for being sickos. This call came in at 857pm (9p, here is the latest collections calls can be made for my state)

Here's how I stopped the calls. I am going to post this information for every number listed here that the software and hardware I am going do describe "traps".

As you may be aware, you cannot block toll-free calls. That is because the creditor is not really calling from a toll free number. Toll free numbers cannot place outgoing calls. The creditors "spoof" the caller ID to look like it's coming from a toll free number, but it is not, which is why your phone service cannot block those numbers.

I am going to refer to two company's products, but I promise you I am not spamming... I am just saying what worked for me. And it works VERY well.

First up is a Zoom PCI V.92 3025C voice modem. You can find them at pacificgeek dot com for 20$

Second step is software called "CallClerk". (callclerk dot com). CallClerk software can hang up on these jokers before your answering machine picks up.

Run a phone line extension to the voice modem in your computer, and install the software. You can set the software to play a message before it hangs up on any number you want it to. I have the software set up to play a recording of "We're sorry, the number you have dialed has been disconnected" to a-holes like this. Actual phone company messages are available at payphone-directory.org

Turn off the ringers on your phone, and tell CallClerk to play a ring-tone for calls you want to accept. Unless you look at CallClerk's logs, you will NOT EVEN KNOW these jokers have called!

Sound complicated? In a way, yes, you need some kind of computer skills and some will to do this. But, let me tell you, it is SO worth it to take back control of your phone!

These people started calling me five days ago, so I Googled their number and found this site. I don't know who they are or what they want. I don't have any accounts with this HSBC/Orchard company; I paid off my other accounts and live debt free. As far as I'm concerned, they're just some punk-ass 800-number agency, so I re-registered my cell phone via the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY (888) 382-1222, plus I jump on the "harassment" bandwagon wherever I find it. Generally, I won't even answer a call if I don't recognize the number. Since last Wednesday they've call my cell number 3-5x/day, I just locked them out; but that's what irks me the most is that they call my cell number!

This is a complete scam. Any post that states that they only owed the company X amount of dollars is BS. No one owes these people a dime! This company (if you can even call them a company) is not affilated with HSBC bank or any bank. They called me saying that my mastercard was past due - I do not even own a mastercard. Therefore, they ask you for your Social Security # to try to "cancel the account."
I told the representative that I didn't feel comfortable giving my SSN, but she obviously had the number and I told her that if she wanted to tell me the SSN listed on the account, i would confirm whether or not that was correct. Of course, she said she wasn't allowed to do this.
This is BS, when I call my actual bank, they ask for the last four digits of my SSN. My bank stated that they would never (nor would any other bank) call a customer asking them for SSN or account information.
This is egregious. I have reported these people to the Attorney General and the FCC. I hope they a prosecuted and rot in jail.

I receive 10-12 calls a day from this number. I've answered several times and no one was on the line. When I let the call go to vmail they never leave a message. I answered today and a man was trying to reach someone by the name of Kimberly; I responded that no one by the name of Kimberly lived here and told him to take my number off his call list; he responded he would try to reach Kimberly later! I responded that Kimberly did not live here and he hung up on me. They called again about an hour later. This time a women was trying to reach Kimberly! I stated that Kimberly did not live here and take me off your call list. She stated "you don't know someone by the name of Kimberly?" I demanded that she take my number off the list and she hung up on me. Extremely aggravating!

My son answered one of the numerous calls & there was a prerecorded message to stay on the line for a very important message. Since we don't know this number & are NOT in arrears on any line of credits, he hung up. Also, I researched this number - apparently its from Orchard Bank, whoever they are. We have never dealt with them, so we just don't answer the phone. They call 3 - 5 times a day. Reports claim they also do a fair amount of phishing. We feel its best not to interact with them at all.

Called this morning at 8:01am. Told the man when I could pay them I would contact them, thanked him and hung up. he called me right back. 11 times in 3 days I have been harassed. Today at 0822 hours, I answered the phone and told the fucks to stop calling me. They hung up with no response. I have filied a complaint with the FTC, do not call website, and just finished calling hsbc bank usa at 1-800-975-4722. They wanted me to call and write them. They were told to remove my number or I will do evertthing in my power to legally destroy them. It is a pain in the butt, but YOU MUST FIGHT FIRE WITH NUC ROUNDS. File complaints with the FTC (ftc.gov) your State Atty General office, and the local police for harassing you (Each state has different laws) BUT YOU MUST PUSH THE ISSUE!!!! They called my house and cell phone 14 times within a 45-minute period. I reported them to the FCC. They call 1-2 times an hour. According to Texas law, any bill collector CANNOT call before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. If they do, you can file charges against that company. Get documentation of phone records to prove times and dates. When they call my house, my home phone and fax machine are on the same line. Needless to say, they get my fax machine every time. :) I like comment someone left about buying an air horn to blow next time they call. Maybe they will get the hint if we all do that.

These people keep repeatedly calling for a co-worker of mine for debt collection. This co-worker is never available to come to the phone. I have told these pests that I am just the person answering a phone in an office - to please remove the number from their call list and please call the co-worker's home or cell phone. I told them they are not getting my co-worker, but me! They continue to harrass me, even though I have NEVER had an account with them, or ever will - considering they told me that they would stop calling me, but never have. Rude! Inconsiderate. They call me 7 days a week aleast 6 to 7 times as late 9.pm.Start calling sometime before 8 a.m this is 7 days a week . Including Sundays all day long.That's 6 to 7 times a day. Then they call my cell phone just as much they do not leave a message on either cell or home phone.Then the other they use is 1800-395-2274.

For those who say they don't have an account with HSBC- just answer the phone, tell them you're not the person they're looking for and ask them not to call back. It usually works pretty well.

I finally had enough and kept calling the company back to speak to a Supervisor. Each time the Supervisor told me they would have a MANAGER call me back, which never happened. I kept on pestering them to speak to a Manager and finally I got one. I told them that they were being recorded, and that I had to tell them this according to the law of Implied Consent. I told them that I would not pay them one single dime until they stopped the harassing calls; and, that since they had continued, they could just go ahead and CHARGE-OFF my card. They said they could not do it until the COMPUTER charged off the account. I told them that this was utter nonsense and then I said the following: "Give me your full name and employee number. (They did, but it's not necessary actually. First names will work.) So you are telling me, knowing that you are being recorded, that after I told you I would not pay and to charge-off the account, that your company will continue to call me incessently?" Their answer was YES. HOWEVER, I have not received a single call from them in over two months.

I had 40 calls from this number in 1 day. I finally answered to see who they were and what they wanted. When i tried to tell them they had the wrong number the guy kept interrupting me and accusing me of lying about who I was. I explained to him that I was going to notify the BBB and if they continued I would contact an attorney. They are driving me crazy.

I answered once about 6 months ago and they said they were my husband's credit card company (for his union credit card - not a store credit card). They were trying to sell him some service or another for his card (which is paid and up-to-date so it wasn't a collections call just a sales call). They have been called every day about 5 times a day since then...and they just called again looking for a Norma?!? We've had this number for almost 10 years so no idea who this Norma is and hopefully the calls will cease now that I answered. I called the number. It says welcome to card services. Based on your phone number your account ends in xxxx. If this is not correct please enter your account number now. I pressed 0. It gave me the same spill. I pressed 0 again. I finally got someone on the phone. She asked me for my account number. I told her no and to remove me from their calling list. She asked me for my phone number and said she would take care of it and was sorry that I had no account with them. If the phone call said I had an account how did she know I did not. If they call again I will sue.

They hang up when I do answer the phone, otherwise they won't leave a message or even let the phone ring longer than three times. Very weird.

I get calls from this # ALL Day long. I don't REALLY care why they're calling I am just really tired of the calls how do I stop them?

They've called about 6 times per day for the last two months. I have no accounts outstanding, and actually have no accounts with anyone- and haven't for years. When I don't answer, they call less. If I pick up the phone and say hello, no one speaks. Then the calls pick up per day. I've stayed on the line for up to 30 seconds, still no response. I think they just like to call people and make their phone ring.

It appears this is Household bank and the first few calls are indeed a 'tag' for your number, time of day you answered, etc. because they immediately hang up. You are probably recieving these calls because a payment is late or someone else with a name similar to yours has a late payment or a delinquent status on their HSBC card. If you have a card you should check your account - an immediate payment to resolve the tardiness will result in no more calls. The sad news is that if you have no HSBC account, no cards, no dealings with them whatsoever...well...you are up the creek because they'll just keep calling.

they called here once and asked for me with my boyfriends last name. i couldnt understand what the idian chick was saying .. i finally said this is annette and she hung up on me. i redialed the number and got a nice english speaking guy who i lodged a complaint with . and also informed him that we arent married and i am in no way responsible for paying his credit card so please stop calling. they havent i finally got tired of them and sent a check. so far its been 4 days without a call. oh and when the bf told them he wanted to invoke the whatever protection when you lose your job... youre supposed to have 45 days to fill out the forms and return.. they dont care.. they call and bug ya anyhow.. and rack up the late fees and all that ....

I have gotten numerous calls from this number, plus a 630 number, that others on here say is HSBC. I'd answer if they would simply leave a message and TELL me who they are. They have been calling every day, during the weekend, sometimes 4-5 times a day. When I don't answer, it goes to voicemail, and they don't leave a message.

This is HSBC / Orchard Bank. This company has been calling an avg. of 21 times per day for the last 2 weeks, including calling my work number. Who else can I tell to help me make them STOP!!!!!!! They never speak, and when they do...you can't understand a word they say.

They start calling 8:10 AM every morning and continue calling all day 6 to 8 times a day until 9PM at nite. Very annoying, since they hang up after 4 rings. Never wait for the answer machine to turn on. I have an unlisted phone number. They call all week even on Saturdays and SUNDAY. This is rediciulous! I also have privacy on my phone.They must work 7 days a week and I'm looking for a job and can't get one since I'm retired. How much do they pay?

All you have to do is to send them a REGISTERED letter saying that they are forbidden from calling your number. They must by law stop - end of story.

Go to the FCC web-site at fcc.gov and fill out a complaint on the form 1088. If enough people cram these complaints into the FCC something will have to be done.

My husband has one of their cards. He has payment arrangements with them and yet, every two hours we are getting these stupid phone calls. Many times one will get calls, daily, from 3-4 different numbers. These are actually from the same collection company using what are called "skip lines" from different branches/businesses from around the Country. They try to give you the impression that there are many different collection agencies calling you. In truth, there is usually only one. They are trying to agitate you into answering the phone. Don't ever answer the phone! I let the calls go to my fax and give them a good buzz in their ear.

I don't know where they got my number from. I have no debts, but I play their game right back at them. All those calls cost them money.

Most of these calls are from what's called "scavenger companies" who are trying to collect debts that are usually way past the statute of limitations (usually 3-5 years). Look up your States laws regarding debt collection and you'll see that, by law, these debts are no longer collectible...but these guys don't think you know that/don't want you to know that.

These calls are very annoying. Starts early in the morning and thu out the day and into the evening. Always a recording. They need to cease & desist....why bother calling if no one is on the line. These ppl call almost everyday for some woman whom we don't even know. WE've had the phone number for over 4 years after we tell them this they promise that our number has been removed from the list and then call back in the morning. No good here. They were not good to deal with when I had their card. I paid off and cancelled the account. They renewed anyhow. Billed my old address and then late charges. Now, all my calls to them are put on hold and then disconnected (after I input my account number!). But their computer puts hangups on my machine from 8am to 9pm twenty times every day. 8 calls in the last 2 days, i called back and an automated systems answered saying that all representative were busy @ the moment. I hung up. Got repeated calls and so I called the House Hold Bank Card Number on my card. I am not delinquent and so I should not be getting these calls. I asked to speak to an account manager who was very kind and did some research. He found out that someone else was giving my phone number out as thier home number. He was able to verify my address and their address and conclude we did not reside together. He then took me out of all the collection call accounts and voided my home number off the other person's account. He also gave me the number 1-800-659-6950 to call and get my number out of that system as well. So far no calls.

If they are attempting to collect a debt you owe they have a right to call a reasonable number of times a day, at reasonabe times. If not they are violating the law. Complain to fcc.gov. It is against the law for the company to not answer with a human or a recording within 4 seconds of you answering. It is againt the law for them to refuse to provide contact information when you ask. If they are calling more than a few times a day, they are breaking the law, harassement complaints go to ftc.gov. If the debtor is a family member, they can write them and ask not to call and to only contact the debtor by mail. They must comply. Complain. Complain. Complain. The reason they do this is because they get away with it.

This call comes in 4-5 times each day and began about one month ago. How does this get remedied? This is a subtle form of harassment!

Called me 5 times today. Called them back earlier and asked which credit card she was calling for 3 times, and she hung up in my face.

These people have called me at least 15 times in the past week. Everytime I pick up, they hang up. I talked to a person once and they were calling for someone else, and I told them there was no one by that name at this number, and figured they'd stop calling, but they keep calling me and hanging up as soon as I pick up!!! This is sage advice when dealing with revolving credit companies (bank and store account cards)... NEVER call the company for customer service from your cell phone, or a private house phone, or... jesus, your work extension.

Almost all credit card companies record the phone number you are calling them from and store it in your account file whenever you call them. They will then gladly turn around and sell this information off to junk debt collectors who are eager to call you about expired statute of limitation debt (junk debt).

Learn your lesson and change your phone number. When you call a credit card company or any other revolving credit lender, use a pay phone/a fax machine or if you still have a dedicated phone line for your computer modem... use that (just remember to use *73 when you are on the computer, so call-waiting doesn't disconnect you when you're online).

Day before yesterday I start getting a call from 800-684-8429 about every 2-3 hours. I was at work during the calls so didn't pick up (or notice to be honest as my cell phone was off). Today I pick up and the person hung up on me. 2 hours later they call back and ask for some random name. I tell the operator they have the wrong number and they hang up on me. I call back and get an automated system telling me they've identified my account number with HSBC bank by my phone number and ask for verification. Seeing as I don't have an account number I hit zero until I get a heavily accented woman operator. She asks my number which I give, she asks my name which I give and then offers to take my number off the listing. GREAT! Oh catch it takes 24-48 hours and I'll still get phone calls during that time.

Jerks keep calling my cell phone and my daughters cell phone at all hours of the day and night. When I answer, there is no response. I'm reporting them to the BBB and the State Attorney General. This is rediculous!

We get calls from this number all day and even late at night as late as 10pm. I tried to answer it last night and a woman was on the line. She said she wants to talk to Daniel (my boyfriend). She was rude and I asked her not to call late because I have a baby that's asleep. A few minutes after we hang up same number called again.

This is HSBC aka Household Finance. They are a credit card collection company. They have been calling me often and are looking for a Faye Scott, and I am not Faye Scott, nor have I ever heard of her. I have told them this repeatedly and they just keep calling more often! They are actually very pleasant people, but they are very persistent! I am going to have to either ignore the multiple calls or change my #. They certainly will not honor my request to relinquish the calls. I thought once you advised them to stop they had to by law. Oh well. Honestly, I have plenty of collection issues myself, but really don't have the time to deal with someone else's, too.

Yes, you are all right, it is Household bank, Yes! even if you are not late with your payments and even if you don't have a CC with them. First, if you have a card with them and are not late, they want to set up a payment, to help them with the cash flow.( So many people have defaulted) If you are late, I am soooo sorry they will not stop, from early in the morning till late at night and yes on sunday, even very early morning. If you don't have a card, maybe your a neighbor of someone who is late and they are trying to contact them. All of these calls are coming from over seas, when you frist pick up it takes a few minutes for the satelite to connect you so at first it sounds like no one is there, but there is. please note, most of these calls are from this 800 number, but wait, if they never get a peson on line, they will re-route they calls from a local area code in your neighborhood and it will say "Gateway Call" . lets say you live in a 212 area code, the caller ID will say Gateway Call and the numher will be 212-xxx-xxxx so you may think its a friend or other business call but it will be them. orchardbank collections-- told me automated system has "kinks" and thats why it called 3 times an hour but never had anyone on other side of line. Call it back and ask them to remove number from list, it worked for me(after I advised them that the account I use to have with them was closed, someone in India investigated and said they found the problem it was caused by past due bill back in summer '07...couldnt explain why the system started calling me yesterday though(Jan '08)

someone identified themself as emmerson, would not say who he was with, repeated name of person he was after as naiome buhhaha, name sounded finnish or swedish , told him i did not know anyone of that name, concerned me that they might be recording my voice as part of some other scam...struck me as funny he wouldn't even repeat the name of the person almost as if he knew the number was wrong and was actually collecting other informations...very suspect

This number also calls for Best Buy Rewards Zone and other HSBC accouts according to the supervisor I spoke with after she verrified that account was paid and the cell phone # was removed also from that account!!!

Also call on home phone 10-12 times per day, every day, even weekends. Will call before 0800 (EST) and as late as 2045 (EST). Have to leave home phone ringer off. Don't like doing this since family lives out of state, but the calls are annoying.

This is HSBC or Orchard Bank. I've been having problems with them calling 1 - 2 times an hour. I do have card with them and checked my balance (which was OK). I couldn't get through to them because it was a weekend so I contacted them through e-mail (with a response to cease the calls). I received a response within 48 hours letting me know that the calls were due to sales calls and they would take me off of the calling list. The request could take up to 30 days and if I received a call, I could let the caller know of the request.

We get calls from this phone number constantly. Over 100 per week. 100!! It's unbelievable!! We are caught up on all of our bills now, so I figured the calls would stop. And when we were late, they did't call but once or twice a week. 8am Sunday morning is unacceptable!!! It's getting to the point where I scream in the phone when I answer now. I went to my HSBC online account, to the contact customer service by e-mail option. I listed both my home and cell phone numbers and instructed them in future to only contact me by mail.

The housing market collapses, I lose money cannot pay bills I tell ALL creditors they will just have to wait and they will only get money when I get money (funny how that works); yet they do not seem to grasp this and threatten my credit rating (BIG DEAL). These idiots call 3-4 times an hour on both my cell phone and my home phone. If I let voice mail get the call they call right back. When you answer no one is there but as soon as you hang up they call back. I have an Orchard Bank card which is paid in full so I have no idea why HSBC would be calling me if it really is them... Wish there was a way to either report these calls or stop them...

They call consistanty and do not leave a message. I have sent in more than my monthly payment. This could also be them calling to offer some special buy or service they have. They have done that before in the past. I refuse to pickup the phone if they do not want to leave a message. The best thing to do is to pay off the credit card completly and CANCEL THEM.

I called the number back. They said it was in response to my cr cd ending with XXXX, otherwise please enter your full account number. I din NOT provide my account number, (SHEESH....) What I ended up doing was I pressed * off and on throughout the message. I finally got a real voice, and by them looking up my phone number (I reluctantly provided) I found out they were with a card I possessed, yet had not activated. I explained to them I had not activated it for a reason, and that they did not provide a service I needed, so the card was just 'stored'. They then passed me to a supervisor, and I aired my many complaints with them...calling and not leaving a message, their automated system asking for my account number...they patiently listened to my rant, though there was no real resolution.

When I answer the call I am put on hold!!! I called the number. It said I was identified by my account number ending in ####. I had no such account. When I got to speak to someone, they asked me for my account number!!! I told them to stop the calls, he gave me his garantee they would stop. We shall see.

In a matter of 3 days, they called my 82 year old grandmother 19 times! This is very stressful to her. She doesn't have any credit cards and just moved into her new place in August. These people have called seven times starting at 8:39am til 5:31pm and I have repeatly told them the person they are looking for is not here. I personally am really tired of them and I don't even want to answer my own phone.

This place has been calling my cell for over 60 days. The phone rings all hours and I had to shut it off at night. The crazy thing is I have no business with them. The representitives are always nice and say they are removing my phone number from the list. The longest the stopped calling was two weeks but they always started back up. Too bad their establishment in Salinas, California did not burn to the ground in the wild fires!

I looked this # up on the internet and said this # was a scam.. I called the # back and a man answered he said he identified me by my phone # and gave me 4 digits and said if this was incorrect to give him the whole card #. So what is the GOVERNMENT going to do abouit it? I am sick of this and think maybe a good lawyer can put these people out of business. ps if they know I have a credit card with them they would have my whole #

I called them, pressed 1 (who's account # that was I do not know). I spoke to them, told them I was not the person they were looking for, and they said they would remove my # from their list. The person "Steph" who apparently gave them my number seems to give a lot of people my #, because this is one of many calls I get for her (including from her friends).

Just got a call from this number. I didn't pick it up because I've seen this number call me dozens of times within the past few months.

Every day, 4-5 times; either a recorded message asking me to hold because all of their operators are busy - those are the best, let me tell you - or a rude punk who won't tell me who they are, what company they're with, or what they want. Won't leave message or any identifying information; as soon as you start to ask the questions they hang up.

Holy crap....these guys are annoying an insistent. I finally got one of them to slip up and begin leaving a message. Picked up the phone and immediately asked, in a calm tone "What do I need to do to remove my phone number from you list?"...and he hung up. I called again. Waited through the prompter. Asked again. Got hung up on. Called again. Got a woman this time named Ann. Asked again. She asked for my phone number and name. She was really really really trying to get me to give up additional information. Particularly my social security number. Not falling for that Ann. Said that there was nothing she could do. I quoted from the FCC do not call list and the FCC guidelines that this was a marketing call and if I asked for a removal, she was required to comply, and hung up. Waited 20 minutes. Called back again and spoke to another woman, very soft-spoken. I gave her my number and another name, and spoke in a different voice.She said that the phone number would be removed from their list within 24 hours. This is well beyond a case where HSBC is not following the rules. You only need to ask once to be removed from the list. If they hang up or say no, they are to be fined. Hell, if we said no to a customer at our call center for removal from our product e-mail updates(legit Fortune 500 company so don't go hating on me) it would be grounds for firing. It's been going on for about 2 weeks. I have lodged an FCC complain everytime. They have called anywhere between 3 am and 10 pm at night. Don't take this crap and say no!

Go online into your account and change the phone number to one that is no longer in service. It will stop the calls. That is what I did.

They tell their operators to harrass their cardholders because they owe money on their accounts and in their mind they think its ok to harrass them simply because they owe them money. I receive around 20 or so calls a day from them. Maybe they feel people will pay them back faster if they continually harrass them in their homes faster.

I got a call from HSBC bank i suppose and they're calling for my mother i believe, now i know i have some payment to make which is a little over $200 unfortunately. Could this be connected? In any case, neither my mother or i have an account with these people. It is not only annoying but degradin.

National Do Not Call isn't working, they still called me like 5 times per day after I registered my number there. And I am waiting for another 20 days to file complaint to this company.

They call several times a day and when you answer, you are put on hold to wait for someone who eventually gets on and has really bad english, so you can barely understand anything they say. They have called 10 - 12 times a day for weeks. If you answer it, you have to wait for someone to come on the line. Sometimes it hangs up on you. When I got someone, I found out they were looking for someone I never heard of. They were very nice and said they would take me off their list. However, I should call the number back and ask another representative as well. I called the number back. When it ask for your Account #, make up a #. I had to repeat this several times. Finally, I got someone really nice on the phone. She confirmed that I would be taken off the list and not called again. Hopefully that will happen!

Got two a day. They said that it was Household Card Services. They said they were calling for someone else which is weird because my number was on file with them when I had an account with them!

After some investigation, i found that this is HSBC United States engaging in debt collection. Phone HSBC Card Services on 18666202305 (you don't need to give them any personal details) and tell them your phone number and they will stop the calls.

I do have a bank account with HSBC, a british bank, and I am currently working in the states. This call is some sort of scam, it is not really HSBC bank, as i phoned and checked with them.

this is the collections department for HSBC bank. because they are not an outside collection agency they are not subject to the rules of FDCPA. they are not limited to how many times they call you, and if you are a customer of theirs, they do not have to remove you from any "list." my suggestion is to just deal with them - tell them the truth about your situation and they will be much less irritating about calling you all the time.

HSBC Orchard Bank cancelled my card as information was lost by them and issued me a new card I never got. It then wouldn't let me access my account online. It then put the account into collection and these clowns keep calling 4-8 times every day.

AGAIN!!! Another call again today. I waited this time instead of not answering finally got someone and they Claimed we owed SBC $575. LOL! I said no we dont and your company is tryn to rip ppl off dont call again. We have NO outstanding debts in collection. Well, today is my birthday, and the only two phone calls I got today were from this number. I finally phoned the number back after about 23 calls on my caller id over a 3 day period. the first thing the recording asks if for your last 4 digits of the account. Well I don't have an account with them (hsbc bank / Orchard Band) So I enter a made up 4 digit number, to which it said it was not valid. Duhhh. Finally it connected me with a real person and I asked who they were and why they keep on calling. I gave them my number and she looked it up only to tell me they were looking for a Kevin ??? No Kevin here, so please remove my name from his information. She stated the number was removed. Hopefully the calls will cease.

I have a number that is dedicated to my fax. I've been getting about 10-15 failed faxes per day. To figure out who is calling, I had caller ID added to the line and that's when I found out it is this number. I will make a record of the calls from here on out.

These people are annoying. They somehow have gotten names and phone number I never turned over to anybody. I had lost my place to live and was staying at my girlfriends house. "Jason" called for a guy who does not work in the office. The scary thing is, "Jason" called from a cell phone, seriously! I could hear the wind, horns blowing, and cell phone noises. When I told him the guy he asked for didn't work here, he kept asking me for the guys cell phone number. I told him I didn't know the guy, and he told me he would call the guy's cell phone and try him at our number another time. What part of my answers did he NOT understand. They have been calling me relentlessly for the past 3 weeks. I do not have an account with them and they called me at 8 am today, it's SUNDAY! I filed a complaint with the FCC at fcc.gov

these retards call even after you block their number. I wish I could show a copy of my call log. They call on average 2x an hour even though all they get is a fast busy signal. I just changed the contact numbers on the account so they can't call...yes we owe them money and we plan on paying it, but not any time soon if they keep calling. We'll see if the calls stop now that the contact info changed.

they call and hang up...i call back and tell me they associated my number with someone who has an account with them, and then told me to give them my bank information---I DONT THINK SOOOO... i have a debit and a credit card and im positive i dont have business with them.. i finally got connected with a person and they thought i was someone else.

These jerks call on average 30 times a day. No one on other end and leave no message. I called back the number and it was HSBC asking for my account information. I have no account with them but they tried very hard to get my personal information. I gave them zero but a few choice words. This is obviously some type of scam to gather individuals' personal info. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM!!!

I ENABLED ALL MY CALLS TO BE FORWARDED TO THE DALLAS, TX FBI. Of course I called all my friends first so that they could text me first SO that I could call them. YOUR TEXT MESSAGES WILL GET THROUGH, BUT CALLS WILL BE FORWARDED. I'LL BET THESE HSBC FOLKS STOP HARRASING ME!

They keep calling here trying to sell us an identity theft protection kit....damn fockers....go away!!!

We have received two calls from this company stating that we have an overdue credit account. We have no account with them. We have verified that the SSN they have on file for said account is not ours' and they say they will stop calling, but they called again today. When I called back they asked me to verify the middle initial on the account, then "Jeffrey" told me they had the wrong number on the account and would remove us from their calling lists. We'll see.

they call asking for rene prado and i tell them it's the wrong number and they keep calling. i called the number back and it says CARD SERVICES. i had to try entering fake account numbers about 7 times before i was put on hold to talk to an agent. a lady answered within a couple minutes and acknowledged that my number was removed. she then proceeded to tell me that they need 2 requests from a person to remove their number, not just 1.
