HFC. I they filled up my answering machine with 140 calls in one month. I couldn't even take client phone calls unless I was AT HOME. Flippin Wankers

The minute they refuse to properly identify themselves they have broken the law. As soon as they have called you more than one time per day they have broken the law. As soon as they have hung up on you or your answering machine without leaving a proper message they have broken the law. FILE COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM! The more complaints filed the sooner the law will act! Remember the old saying? The squeeky wheel gets the grease?? The more noise made about this lender's illegal activities the sooner they will be called on the carpet about them! They have been in trouble before! They have a BAD track record for breaking the law! Eventually they will loose their licenses to do business in the USA but we, the victims, need to be heard complaining about them to get anything done! Just as Leon says below!!

number 800.677.4576 HFC beneficial fin. collection dept. In the past 3 months we have had 40 plus calls asking for Kevin. We have had our phone for 5 years, and don't even know a Kevin. Some are automatic call backs. Some is a woman and then a man they refuse to remove our number. 07.29.09 I finally talked to someone and I wanted their address, so my attorney can contact them for harrassment, but needless to say, they would not provide it.

I have received about 10 calls a day for the past few weeks. They leave no message. They start at about 8am CT and go until about 10pm. Many of them are about 45 mintes apart. In the evening they do not call as often, but they still call until about 10pm, that is too late to be harassing people.

They have been calling me for the past 6-8 months and have been relentlessly calling 3 to 4 times a day. It is always the same recording in spanish. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

OMG! First of all, if you are going to have some one doing collections.... SPEAK ENGLISH! I know that some people are stay at home parents, but some of us work. Why call a home during the day when the majority of people work? They called on Saturday morning at 830am. I told them when I would be making a payment. Didn't receive any more calls the rest of the weekend. Tuesday morning they started calling.... 842am, 1034am, 1236pm, 638pm,748pm. All with no messages left. I finally answered the last call and asked why they are calling me when I spoke to someone on Saturday and made arrangement for payment? Told them to stop calling my home 5 times a day.

I was getting phone calls from this # every 30 minutes. I called corporate 888-245-9364 and explained the situation to the representative that answered. She put the # they are calling me at on the REMOVE # from list. I hope this helps you all!

They call every thirty minutes and since my name is not on the account, they just hang up on me. I can tell them that the person they want to talk to will not be here that day, but they will still call every thirty minutes and hang up on me. I've told the local office and the corporate office that it is harassment. So here's how I've chosen to get even. I called this number and finally got a live person. I told this person that I was tired of being harassed and gave her a brief description of what has been happening, but she didn't care because she's collections and they just don't care about you even if you are not the person they're trying to reach. I told her that in retribution for their harassment, regardless of how our finances change, the earliest we will pay them anything will be April 1st. Our credit is already ruined because of predicament and our only concern is not to lose our house, so they can report us to whomever they wish. But, for each phone call from this moment forward, the date they can expect payment will move one day further away. They've called fifteen times already today! As I was typing this, they called again so I just thanked the woman who was going to hang up on me anyways and just told her "Now the earliest you can expect any payment from us is April 2nd." Then she hung up on me as she always does.

called @ 5 after 8 this morning and someone who couldn't even speak english well asking for someone I told them no one by that name lived here have no idea who they even wanted if they have someone doing telemarketing they could at least get someone that can speak ENGLISH!!I promptly hung up and they will be on my blocked number list!

We get a lot of calls from 800-677-4576. Usually two calls a day within 45 minutes of each other. We never answer; they never leave a message. Sometimes I do hear background chatter before the person hangs up, but never anything I can make out. Kind of like the whisper voices in the jungle on LOST.

Calling for a Kevin G. I have no clue who he is. Called twice in one day I work nights and the 2nd time they called me they work me up I told them they had the wrong # oh is all they can say.

5 calls in 2 hr period. Have loan with them that is up to date. When I advise them I am up to date, they tell me I am correct & my name somehow is in their system. No one knows how or why & can't fix it. Isn't harassing practice like this illegal? Even for those who are deliquent aren't you supposed to be able to tell them to stop calling & they legally have to?

Everyone reveiwing this site needs to look at federalreserve.gov, click consumer information, click proposed rules for credit cards and overdraft services, read it...scroll to the bottom, proposals for comment...and COMMENT. Let The Fed know how FED up you are.

The source is HFC (Household Finance Corp.) - Beneficial Finance or a related entity. HFC is part of the HSBC Group. Their global site home is hsbc.com

I received numerous calls from this number on my cellphone about a month ago. The calls stopped for about a month and then started up again three days ago. We get at least 6 calls a day, usually every 15-20 minutes for a couple of 2-hour blocks in the morning and the evening. Finally this evening I got fed up and called the number again. It is a recorded message and prompts for an account number (which I don't have--never had an account with HFC Financial) but I just typed in 123456789# each time they prompted for this until after four times, when they routed me to their customer service dept. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was put on hold and then transferred to another person. I explained the situation and the supervisor asked me to provide them with my cellphone number and assured me that I would not be called again. I told them I had already done that a month ago and said I wanted a name and phone number (not 800 number) to call if the calls continued. The best the supervisor would do was to provide the following address: HFC Financial, 961 Weigel Drive, Elmhurst, IL 60126 He said each person who is receiving these calls needs to call the 800 number or write to them at the above address and request that their phone number be removed from the call list. He said the calls are made automatically and that there is an error that causes some numbers to be called repeatedly. Good luck, everyone. I hope it works for you.

Well, what can I say? They sent me a check and said to deposit it. Easiest loan I've ever received!!!! So, because of when I get paid some times I have to use the grace period time to make my payment. DUH Isnt that why they give you a grace period? First day into the grace period the phone starts ringing 8am until 9pm(they also call wanting me to borrow more from them). My 2year old sleeps until 9 or 10am and when the phone rings and the call goes to the machine my great danes howl as the machine picks up waking up the baby. THEY ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT CALL ME THAT EARLY! Friends and family know I dont get much done after the terrible two year old wakes for the day. So, heres what I do. I LET MY TWO YEAR OLD ANSWER THE PHONE!!!! I figure if they wake him they can take that up with him. I hate when the phone rings and its not someone I want to talk to.

They have called our company over 7 times today asking for someone who does not work here and have been very rude about it. We have asked them to remove us from there calling list but each time they hang up. Does anyone Know what this company is at all?

they keep calling and calling and I am on a credit counseling plan also. They keep saying they haven't received a proposal and they have aaccepted it.Today they called and asked for my husband by name and I said he wasen't home they hung up on me. I will let the conseling people know. they are skums and I will never deal with them again.

Try calling Ron Clamage, he's the only person that makes any sense of all I've tried calling to stop these calls. Now whether it works, I don't know I just made the call today. All other numbers I called didn't resolve it. He did promise to call back today or Monday, the next business day.

Hey everyone, you need to call 630-245-1588 and speak to Ron Clamage. Make sure you call his office as often as he calls your house though. He's the man you want to talk to. Still suing though. But everyone make sure you speak to Ron 630-245-1588, he's the reason they keep calling your house.

This number keeps calling my phone too. All hours of the day and many times a day!! It doesn't matter what time it is...7am or 11pm this number calls my house and then when I don't say who I AM....they hang up on me. WHO THE HECK IS THIS CALLING? I am going to change my number soon.

They don't leave a message but many comments on this page say the caller is HFC. So this page should say "According to 20 reports the identity of this caller is HFC."

I have received many, many calls from this number it is very annoying. I am on DNC list but that does not matter to these peoiple whomever they are. This must stop.

I called the corporate number that poster GS included in his message. As I was explaining my problem to the person at corporate, my call waiting came on, and guess who was on the other line--the folks from this 800 number!

I answered their call, they asked for a person I don't know, I put them on hold, and went back to the corporate person and informed her that the 800 folks were on the other line at this very moment. She apologized, took my phone number, the 800 number, and she stated she would make sure I wouldn't be called again.

I get at least two calls every hour, even without picking up the phone.

OMFG! i just made a pymt arrangmnt w/them after holding for 10 mins. and they f*ing c/b not less than 5 mins later. no one is more aware than i that i'm behind but i don't warrant >5 calls per day.

I just started getting calls from this number and I have never had a loan or any service thru beneficial. They never leave a msg and when I do answer out of annoyance, no one is on line. Ugh!

I've been getting calls from a private number for about a week. They always ask for someone else. When I ask who is calling the say its a private business matter. Today I told them I would give there person a message and have them call back. This is the number she gave 1-800-677-4576. This is really annoying.

They ask for my brother by name. When I told them he's not home, they would not identify themselves other that "this is a personal business call for Mark."

I have an account with HFC that is nearly 5 years old. I have been 1-10 days late on occasion, and I have received calls from them, but never in the amount that others have stated. Often when I do answer, there is no one there, and when there is, I have a difficult time understanding them due to their accents. I have never found anyone to be rude with me, and when I make a payment online the calls stop. After reading these posts, I don't know how it is that I have gotten so lucky. Also, when my account is current, I receive no calls at all. They have never called me before 9 am, or after 9 pm. If I am past due, and I post an online payment, the calls stop immediately unless I've made the payment over the weekend. Just my observation over the last 5+ years.

Again, not sure why I've been so lucky, but wanted to share my experience just the same.

They called my home 75 times in the last week. I pick it up on the first ring and listen but don't say anything to them. Makes them think.

It is against the law to us an autodialer to call cell phones.

They call my cell phone, and I do not answer and they immediately call back again and will not leave a message. There should be some way we can all get paid for using our minutes to these idiots who call our cell phones and harrass us. I cannot believe I cannot control who calls ms on something I chose to have and pay for completely i.e. my phone - cell or otherwise!

I receive calls from this number regularly. They sound like buffoons. Somehow, we must have gotten on their computer dialing system. Drives me mad.

it's Household. i have a loan with them and they called when i was 5 days past due. they are bastards, as once i couldn't pay because of job issues and they harrassed me and called my parents. never get a loan from these asshats.

We have an account with Beneficial and have to setup payment arrangements from time to time. After we are caught up, we will still received the calls. I decided to be very "rude" and "mean" to the foreign lady on the other end of the line, even though she was trying to be nice. I was just trying to make the calls stop. Evidently, this did something because we received a call the next day from their corporate office asking why I was so upset. I explained the situation to them and the calls stopped. It appears that this HFC has a very bad reputation for not updating their records or listening to the customers (or non-costomers). This really reflects on how poor Beneficial is when it comes to valuing their customers. I would never recommend Beneficial for anything.

I have an account with these people but, not am in credit counseling. They have called my cell every day for the past two weeks today alone 14 times! They do not leave any messages and they should not be calling me when I am in credit counseling.This is harrasment pure and simple and should not be allowed. I wish I could keep calling their cell 14 or more times a day.

They keep calling our son's cell phone # (he's 13 years old). They do not leave messages. Their message our son informs me, is nothing more than a ringing noise. Can't these people be stopped? This is absolutely ridiculous; our son has received somewhere around 15 to 20 calls from these idiots.

It is HSBC. The kept calling for someone that does not live here and I told them on numerous occasions that I was not affiliated with this person and that they had the wrong number. The last call I got the man told me to get my son on the phone. I said okay if you want to talk to a 14 month old I will and hung up. I called thier corporate number 888-245-9364 and spoke with a really nice lady there and the phone calls have stoped. If you are still getting calls I would call the corporate number.

OMG..these people are pests. They will start calling our home at about 7:30 am everyday...even Sundays. And they call about every hour...they must not have lives of their own. Chins up

This number belongs to HFC Beneficial. Calling the number back will only get you another number 1-866-396-4636. You will need a customer number (usually from a mailing you received) before they can remove you from the list.

Yes its HFC/Beneficial. I was out of town and forgot to make a payment on time. My wife answered and they were VERY RUDE to her to the extent she had to hang up the phone on them. Even after I made the late payment, they continued to call because they had not updated their own records. I like the comment below, call forward to the their local office.

I am getting 3-5 calls a day from this number. When I do answer no one is on the other line. Then the caller disconnects. It is so annoying. How can I stop these calls?

I have a past due bill that I have been trying to catch up on. I have received as many as 10 calls a day requesting to talk to me. Most of the time they call while I am at work and my roommate tells them I am unavailable at the hours they call. It got so bad at one point that after hanging up with one call, another person called within 10 to 15 minutes later. I have reported them the the FTC and FCC.

Isnt Select Call Forwarding a beautiful thing. I just forward thier calls over to the local HFC Branch so they can harrass themselves all day long!

My complaint is the same as these people have mention. Well, if they want stop calling I wait until someone answers and I have a small canister that emits a loud noise like the bull horn. If they want stop I might as well bust their ear drums.

I do have an account with these people. I cant wait to pay of my vehicle and will never deal with this bank ever again. They harrass me every 40 min. Today they called at 9:40, then my work, then again my cell at 9:43. I cant stand these people.

They call all day/every day. It is HFC/Beneficial. We finally answered it and apparently it was call we should have anwered in the 1st place. The woman was very nice.

I do have account with them but how they handle making calls every hour on the hour with no message. calling the home # all day long also in not accepted. I have a job and having them call all day long can get me in trouble. somebody please tell them to stop or handle these calls more on a professional level. It is extremely annoying.

My phone rang and it said Free Toll so I didnt have any purpose answering the phone, they called numerous times.

I do have an account with these scabs. My complaint is they will not leave a message just blank places on the answer machine that I use for a small business some times I miss jobs because they have filled my machine ! This is very counter productive to my paying them ! My caller ID says TOLLFREE NUMBER well it sure is costing me!

all day, everyday, starting at 8:04 and ending around 8 at night. I have a CURRENT account with HFC. These are recorded solicitations that I have requested stop. I have been told that it takes up to 30 days for my number to register as a DNC with them.....I hate them! This is not the only number they call from. There are others that call me all day too. You can't ignore it when they are calling every hour, sometimes more, and won't leave a message. My husband gets so pissed when he's home. (sat and sunday is no exception to the phone calls.)

We've been getting calls from this # here at work several times a day for the last couple of weeks. I did *69, called back and got somebody on the phone and asked to be removed from their call list. She (sounded like someone from India) couldn't do it without an account # or my SS#. I told her that I have no acct with them, so all the information she should need is the # to be removed. She insisted she couldn't do it, so I told her that I would report them to the FCC. She gave me the following # to call for their corporate office: 888-245-9364. Maybe those of you that are still experiencing problems can try calling that #. We'll see if that works or not!

These people call me at least 10 times per month, have absolutely zero caller ID, and never leave a message. A few times a person will come on after more than 30 seconds and speak in an accent that I can barely understand. When I asked where they are calling from they never tell me so I refuse to speak to them.

I've gotten multiple calls, throughout the day starting early in the day, for the last week or so. I finally picked up and it was an obvious call center from the answering delay and background noise. They asked for someone who doesn't live here (seems to be a common story from the other posts). I informed them they had the wrong number. About an hour later they called again, asking for the same person. This time I informed them I was reporting them since I'm also on the DNC list. We'll see if that makes any difference. Really quite annoying...

I received a call from this number at 9:30 EDT, at my work phone number, which is unlisted and unavailable to the public. I was not at there, but I received a message of mostly silence. There was barely audible talking in the back, it sounded almost like fighting, and I can not be 100% positive it was english they were speaking.

I am getting tired of the phone calls and the times of the calls are getting to be more and more harrassing, (earlier morning and later in the evening). I have reported the violation to the Federal DNC list.
