2 weeks ago bugmeyou lose RI

Citizen's Bank trying to sell services.

They've been told not to call before & still do.

I love when they leave a message that makes it sound like there's a serious problem with our account when the only thing they want is to sell us something.

Good way to lose a customer & we have started rolling our money out of citizens because of these calls.

March 29th, 2013 Marilyn NY

for about two weeks now, I get two calls daily from this number. Which they have been doing on and off for several years. I am a Citizens customer, still, I never answer 800 numbers. Now I know at least who it's from. Thanks !

Correction: "LOCAL SEARCH" number was 406-577-1215.

I've had several calls from this number, didn't answer them. Caller ID says "LOCAL SEARCH". I'm in Manchester, NH.

strange that you get calls like this.

February 21st, 2012 Bob MA

STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

February 16th, 2012 Bob MA

Called my cell - no message - I'm on the do-not-call registry. Fat lotta good that did me.

February 14th, 2012 Bob MA

Apparently the "Do Not Call" registry doesn't do CRAP. I get calls ALL THE TIME and this is my CELL phone! Annoying!!!!!! These jerks left no message but I didn't pick up - who picks up an 800 number call? LATA!!!!

February 13th, 2012 MomsTaxi MA

I don't answer unknown calls, but they did not leave a message. But I do not have Citizens Bank and I have an unlisted and unpublished home phone. I am also on the Do Not Call list. Not sure how they got this number or why they keep calling.

Shame on Citizen's Bank for not identifying themselves. Why are so many companies choosing the "toll free call?" I don't answer toll free calls or unknown number and unknown name. Maybe if they put Citizen's Bank, I would answer.

Another caller who hung up without leaving a message

July 21st, 2011 PM PA

Called yesterday. No message. If caller ID says, "Unavailable," then ignore the calls. If it is legit, they will find a way to get in touch with you.

November 18th, 2010 Craig PA

Said they were from Citizens Bank and wanted to do a five minute coustomer satisfaction survey. I said I was busy.

August 11th, 2010 Me RI

Called....ID said "Unavailable"....answering machine kicked in....call disconnected. No message & no way of telling who initiated the call.

An 800 number, so I called it back. It's Citizens Bank where we have an account. It's the number on the banking account paperwork; the one you call when you have a question on an account and then have to suffer through a robo-menu to finally get to a point where you can speak with a living, breathing, thinking human being.

No doubt they're trying to sell some product or service. Just Monday, I got a Citizens mailing telling me how fortunate I was that I was covered by complimentary disability insurance & after I send the verification informaion, I'll be covered 24/7 for a year. A year at which time it automatically renews & I get a bill. Supposedly, I can decline to extend the coverage...right. And the list of exclusions is cast so wide and the definition of disability so narowly defined that I bet no one ever collects.

Yup, Citizens is into a selling cycle. Like it or not if you have any business with Citizens they'll be bothering you by phone and sending junk to your mailbox that you then have to shred & lug out to the curb on recycling day.

Don't get you panties in a bunch - just ignore them. At least they're innocuous not like some of the more hostile bottomfeeders that ignore the law & harass us.

May 24th, 2010 JoJo PA

Just called it back -- this time it said that it WAS Citizens Bank. But -- no message so it must not be important. They should id themselves on the line instead of this "unavailable" nonsense.

May 11th, 2010 Reagan OH

Two calls this week on our unlisted, unpublished line. They are not leaving a message.

December 6th, 2009 NH NH

Citizens just sent out new debit cards.. They are using Visa not Mastercard.
This call was to notify you of the change.
However, my Mastercard is not and has never been with them.
I can't find any card with the number they cited.
It is not my ATM card either, which I have accidently cut up when I got the replacement. I checked.

So if you don't even use this card, why would they send it to you?

December 3rd, 2009 k CA

no one said anything when i answered

November 20th, 2009 NH NH

Ditto. I called the number and a recording says it is no longer Citizen's bank. Something's screwy here.

August 25th, 2009 Carol IL

This number has been calling but not leaving messages. This time I was home to answer. As soon as I said hello they hung up. I have no idea what is going on with this.

August 19th, 2009 carol NH

asked for us by name, when responded they hung up

August 7th, 2009 Dave PA

Called the number. An answering machine says this is the OLD Citizens Bank number and no longer in used! Wonder who is calling me now?!

July 24th, 2009 Mo NY

Asked one question about service. Disturbing. Weird. Should it be worrisome?

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker or something like Nomorobo.
