My second call from them today. Turns out it was Children's Cancer Fund. However, the same marketing group solicits for them and many others. So for that number, it could be 40 "different" companies !!

This call came fairly early, at 8:30 am. I'm suspicious of MCI as they are the only 800 number I know to call so early.

I don't answer 800, 888, etc., calls either when the name comes up as "unavailable." If more people did this, they would eventually give up.

This organzation is so persistant. I don't answer when I get an 800 number and "Unavailable" on the caller ID

We are on the no-call list, we don't do donations over the phone ......so annoying! Jeez! They need to give up!

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
