Who Called Us

They're back!!! Lady asked for me. After saying yes she stated that she was from a breast cancer group and wanted to know if she could send me a donation mailing. I told her no as I already donate locally (truth). She said think you for supporting breast cancer research and hung up. It's interesting that this number is not reported more often.

Kept pressing me to give a donation, but I told them they were doing something that bordered illegal and she hung up.

The lady calling asked if she was talking to Mr. W..... When I said yes she started a scripted speech about breast cancer. I picked up the call out of curiosity but I hung up in the middle of her speech without saying anything more. I do support breast cancer research locally but not the for-profit companies that make the calls. It's a legalized annoyance.

FYI they are registered with the attorney generals office. And the National Do Not Call Registry does not apply to the FUNDRAISING of 501c3. I know it can get annoying with all the calls why don't you try being polite and just asking them to remove you from there call list, it would probally work a little better!

This a scam!!! When I stated I was on the do not call reg. and they stated that that does not apply to them because they are a charity. I stated you are soliciting, she state again law does not apply because they are a charity. THEY ARE NOT. They say they are Charitible Services and represent 9 different charities. They are not registered with BBB.

They call all the time and never leave a message, I have no idea who they are. I am never home to answer the phone to find out. BK

Called asking for donation to Kid's Wish. Said they would send a brochure then asked how much I could give. I said I would look at brochure and donation would not be over $25. Another one called back to verify a donation and I told her I said I would look at the brochure and she said I needed to verify the $25. When I asked why I should make a pledge to something I did not know about she quickly ended the call. That is why I checked up on this call.

Call up to 5 times a day for months

Kids Wish Network. Checked up on the donations, according to published records, very little of the money collected gets to the actual purpose - most goes to the fund raiser. It showed that they collected millions, yet paid out to the actual 'cause' only about $200K. Claimed millions in fundraisng costs and expenses. Best bet if you're going to give is to find a better charity or give directly to a local hospital. Very bad report from the philanthropy website as well. They had an extremely high ratio of fundraising cost to donations given there as well. All told this is a bad company too deal with. Best to avoid if possible. As always, do your homework before you waste your money on something that only makes the dialing for dollars company rich.

Was getting these quite often last winter. Stopped for awhile but have now started again.

Recieved several call from 800-632-2875. Never left a message. I answered the last call and it was for some unrecognized charity fund raiser. I said I might be interested in donating if they sent me a copy of their financial statement required to be filed with the state. They hung up and I never heard from them again.

They are a fund raising scam. Only 15% actually goes to the fund they say they are supporting. Total crock. They won't stop calling, they'll just change the name of the fund to something else, like Cancer, Firefighters, Police association, etc.

Keep calling. Do not leave messages. I'm on the DNC list, but it doesn't seem to matter.

Said they were the Kids Wish Network that grants wishes to sick kids. Sorry, never heard of it.

When I see a caller ID like this, I just hit the speaker phone button and ignore so they have to pay for the call..wasting their time and money.

We get these calls quite often and are never able to call them back on the number listed on the caller ID.

Just when I get rid of one, another takes its place.

they were calling from 800 391 7048 until i threatened them with police action. Today, 800 632 2857 started

When I called back someone answer saying they were a fund raising service. They have called me 5 times in the past 2 days UGH!!!!!!!! When does it stop?
