How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Some election questionaire. Asking me my age, race, who I planned to vote for. I hung up on them!
I don't answer these calls. They didn't leave a message on my answering machine.
We're still waiting for the end of the 30 day period it takes to activate our number on the Do Not Call list, but from what I've read here, having a telephone number on the list doesn't seem to keep the calls from happening. At least the caller ID labled it correctly as a telemarketing call. No message was left on the answering machine.
No clue as I don't answer calls from number I don't recognize.
This number has called 3-5 times a day for the past week. Every time I answer, they hang up.

A mortgage solicitation call, ha we live in military housing.
They get the whistle every time they call and I happen to answer the phone. I like to have fun with by selecting the option that will put me through to a person and let them go all the way through their sales pitch and say ok let me go get my wallet I'll be right back. Then wait for the stutter tone on the phone or the operator's voice. Jerks!! all of them.
We got a robo-call for a political fundraiser, so this number must be for the company that does the calls not the sellers of the goods themselves.
The caller hangs up when my answering machine picks up. Third call so far in two weeks.

apeared to be some scam, wanting me to press 1 for some 'deal of a lifetime'. probably a scammer or phreaker trying to use my line for calls to who knows.

This number shows on my ID a couple of times a day. There is never a message left and when I called the number back, you get a hang-up.
It is normally Dish TV. When I wait for a rep, I start to ask to be taken off the list and they hang up on me every time!! it has happened at least 10 times in the last two months. I am sick of them!!! If you call the number it says "Thanks for calling, goodbye", then hang-up. @#$!###
