Who Called Us

They called again (surprise!) and voice contact was made - someone at a call center in India was looking for 'Susan'. Spoke to supervisor Sonya and told her in no uncertain words that there had been some error on their part, there is no 'Susan' at my number - which I've had for over 20 years - and the constant, repeated calls constitute harassment and are illegal and will be the subject of a complaint to the FCC.

I just reverse called and it is Lowes credit. I do NOT HAVE A LOWES credit card. Told a foreigner named 'FRANK' to stop calling me. Legal action will follow if this continues.

They call at least once daily for about the past month - but they have something wrong with their machine and nobody is ever on the line. I don't get a human and I don't get any message or robo-voice - it's just dead air for 10 - 20 seconds followed by dialing sounds and beeping and then the fast busy noise. Annoying as anything. I've been answering in the hopes of getting a HUMAN who can stop this madness but no luck.

They also called me from 616-222-1694. I believe this is the debt collector for Lowe's credit card services. I did not pay a $12.56 charge from Feb.2012. Did not even realize my husband had used the card and by last week May 2012. I owed $64.00 in fees. UGH.......... yes Lowe's did call me on my cell phone just figured it was a promotional call. IF these agencies would leave a full detailed voice mail msg. Most people would just go online and pay what they owed. Now because I feel put out and a little angry I will be canceling my Lowe's card, because I am a little petty and that's how I roll :)

For the most part they will not answer when I pick up, and will not leave a message..
The one time I called back it seemed to be connected with Lowes {credit department}?
It is a Sunday and I have already gotten 3 calls from them by Noon.

This is a debt collector from LOWES, trying to get money from me and I do not even had an account. I will never have one.

called 6 times, no message! 800 number...don't answer!

Called 3 times this a.m. I didn't answer since 800 number. They did not leave message.

Left a message to call this number. Claimed they were from Lowescredit.com. Called the number and a machine asked me to input SS.

These calls must originate from the association of mute telephone
callers. Never identify themseves, never leave a message.
Now I am getteing aroused, when the sorry iceholes call.

They called on automated voice message...gave a call back # different than one in caller ID box...and hung up...didn't give me time to get pen to write # down so have no idea what it is about.

GE Money regarding a Lowe's account and/or one other account (don't remember which). They did leave a message with a call back number.

they have continued to call, after I've told them repeatedly that the person no longer lives here. and hasn't for years. They apologized and said they would stop calling, but they still do.Surely they are breaking laws here. I guess I'll complain to the merchant who gave it to them. they even call on holidays and Sundays, just now in fact.

called 5 times today even after filing bankruptcy 2 weeks ago..you'd think they would know the laws by now. at least have the XXlls to leave a message.

First of all, google FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICE ACT (public law 104-208) as enacted by the US SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES...THIS ACT IS INVALUABLE for protecting your rights as a 'debtor".
Next google, US CODE TITLE 15 CHAPTER 41 and US CODE TITLE 18 PART I, CHAPTER 63 ITEM 1341.
Bill collectors are notorious for breaking these laws. Once you have an understanding of the lwas that have been broken by these clowns( in your particular case) then send LOWES COLLECTION DEPART a certified letter, return receipt( so they have to sign for it)...and tell them that if they don't stop this nonsense, you plan to hold them corporately and individually liable for breaking these laws. If you owe them money and intend to pay, explain that i8n your letter, but tell them that all communication with you must be by LETTER ONLY FROM THIS POINT FORWARD.....ALL TELEPHONE CALLS MUST immediately STOP, or you intend to take further action. Tell Lowes that you keep a log of all incoming calls, supported by your monthly telephone bill, and you reserve the right to record all future calls ( in the interest of quality control of course) !!!
IN OTHER WORDS...TELL LOWES or any other BILL COLLECTOR TO " CEASE AND DESIST"

The company originating this number (800-568-0156) identifies itself as 'Credit Services'. They ask that I put in my credit card number so that they may identify me. Don't have my card handy? Simply look on my statement; find the numbers. What on earth is wrong with these people? They've called my cell phone number 13 times !!!. I am on a "don't call list for my land line. Now I have to place my cell phone number on this list, yet again. Are they NUTS?
Maybe Lowes? I do owe them $35. I'll pay them today......why don't they leave a message saying who they are. They must be up to no good if they won't or can't identify who they are.
