Weird... I saw the remark that it was about an Xterra, and I have one, but I've also dealt with Front Sight... Anyway, I had a voicemail from Front Sight.

I answered only to hear them give me another number to call about my Nissan Xterra. Nissan would never contact me this way.

I got this call today, it was an Allstate Insurance prerecorded message, thanking me from continued business and the possibility of recieving a survey concerning my satisfaction with them.

Yup. It's Frontsite alright. A reputable school in Nevada, but they use teleSPAMming as part of their marketing campaigns.

Frontsite Training Academy, they call if you opt-in to receive calls & promotional material. Instructions on the message explain how to remove your number from their calling system...very easy to do. Reputable company.

got this this morning, turns out it was a recorded call from my insurance agent (am guessing nationwide has set this up for all their agents here in texas) just giving some general information and updates about all policies.
as a previous poster said, this is a number used by a telephone blast service, and so it doesn't really belong to any one particular company. i did call my agent and let him know that the number he was sending his message from is widely resported as a nuisance number and likely blocked by a significant number of his clients, as well as probably violating the do-not-call registry. he seemed shocked and embarassed and said he was going to look into another way to do this. *shrug*

Yup! No way to call this number back. I did attend a class at Front Sight and that's what it says up top. They send as many or more emails than the NRA!

Hung up when I said Hello

I just put up the last sighting--got a message from Josh with Strategic Real Estate Coach, a company I got some info from a few weeks back. I don't answer when I don't recognize the number, so I don't know if he would have stayed on the line (if it was a live voice).

Called number. No way to get through to a human or to leave a message.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker or something like Nomorobo.
