Who Called Us

Received yet another unsolicited call from these jokers. This is a brand new cell phone and, I thought, a brand new phone number. I haven't given it out yet! I purposely did this to see how long before I started receiving these calls. I get them on my other cell phone, too. I think it is either random automated dialers, or cell phone companies are selling lists of numbers, whether they admit to it or not. It sound like the same companies use many different numbers.

only shows the number. no message. one day these kind of jokers will be stopped thanks to using cell phones for incoming calls only, and only answering calls we know are legit.

I answered this call on my cell phone and it was a robo call. I pressed 1 to speak to a representative. When I got a representative, he did not identify himself or the company. I told him he had reached a cell phone and I wanted the number removed from their calling lists and he hung up on me without further comment.

I was doing something else -- just picked up the call with a "hello". After a couple of seconds, a spiel started for some sort of healthcare provider or insurance. I didn't listen for long so don't really know who it was.

Called my phone, i missed it. Called back later and there were a few beeps and it said that this toll free call was blocked from my area code. Weird!!

Random cell call. Didn't talk when answered.

two calls in the last 2 days to my cell phone. Caller ID says Fax Call

Appeared as a "missed call" in my Google Voice account, which I have had for less than a week. Left no message, but the number that appears is probably used by a call centre (or centres) operating several scams and dialing numbers at random.

I just got a call from this number with the Erica lowering interest rates for my credit card recording and hung up cuz I don't even have a credit card! I had gotten a call a few days ago with the same exact recording from 402-982-0689. There's plenty of information on that number on this site, and I think the 2 numbers may be from the same people.

I pressed 1 and said "take me off the list and don't call again." The girl said "Lady you smell like 400 pounds of bad-ass!" I had her repeat it 3 times because I couldn't believe that was what I was actually hearing. When I said I don't understand what that means, she said "You smell like a 400 pound stinky stripper!" I laughed and said "Who the hell are you? Take me off the list!" and hung up. Is there no way to stop this kind of thing? I was absolutely astonished!

Tried to call back, but message said I was blocked. Called me on my cell phone, a number which no one should have, except for business and immediate family.

Both my husband and I get these calls on our cell phones and we also receive them on our landline phone as well.

I got thew call on two different phones in same day. I called number back and recording says cannot recieve calls from this area code

Received a call from this number claiming to lower my interest rates on existing credit cards. I spoke a reap claimed that he could not put me on the Do not cal list.He said he couldn't When I asked for a supervisor the man claimed to be a supervisor as well. The guy was exceptionally rude and claimed I was yelling in his ear.

Who is this and how do you stop them

Just got this call today, answered phone but didnt say anything, silence on the other end for a few seconds before they hung up.

Whatever happened to the car warranty people by the way? I had a lot of fun messing with those people.

"Hello, this Erica from credit card services. I'm calling in reference to your current credit card account. Do not be alamred there is nothing wrong with your account..." That's what I get 15 times a day then the call is also "This is Lisa calling you from the Medical Benefits Association..." I hang up all the time and they still call back. From this number alone I get at least 40 calls a day. They give you the option to press 1 to speak with someone or 2 to be removed. It doesn't work. It's the car warranty place all over again. Honestly I think it's the same people.

It must be some marketing crap. They called my MagicJack number on my computer!! I don't answer 800's.

I answered this number. They spoke in spanish. Told them, "No Hablo espanol". They then hung up on me. Called back and it said it was out of my calling area. Should I be worried....it was wierd???

Called my personal cell. No message. Anyone know who this is?

Just called on my business cell phone at 11:15am EST - no message left. When I called back from my landline phone I got the message that the 800# was outside of my calling area. Very Weird...

This just rang me at 9.58 ayem local (central) time. Didn't recognise the number. Pressed IGNORE. Sorted.
