Just a head's up, here's links for all of the numbers they use. Seems like they use an Asterisk-based PBX and get new DIDs wherever they are collecting. They don't have a St. Louis office, yet they are calling 636. When called back, you get a tell-tale Asterisk (rather, TrixBox) bug where the greeting starts playing before the channel is fully connected, so it sounds like it starts midway-through.

If that's true, they will keep coming up with more and more numbers, as DIDs (dial id's, phone numbers) for VOIP channels are cheap.

Collection agency. Pretty much scum from what I've been reading. :\ Hostile, relentless...

In short - don't answer this. They'll also try calling you from 978-975-0799.

Debt Collectors

I believe they call anyone with the same last name as mine.
I do not have any past due bills / debts so I do not know why they call and continue to call.

These people do no listen. They keep call my number which is the wrong number.

Cell Phone reings and a recorded Message says this is not a marketing or sales type call. A message for (My Name) and to push the "1" key to here the message. I hang up!

ATTN: DEB/BEV OR TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: I AM CHRIS THORPE, I HAVE CALLED AND LEFT MESSAGES TO NO AVAIL. I CONTINUE TO BE HASSLE REGARDING AN OLD ACCT. I HAVE REQUESTED A SETTLEMENT OFFER TO BE SENT IN WRITING TO P.O. BOX 675, HILTON, NY 14468. OR 3400 RIDGE RD WEST, STE 5.,GREECE NY 14626. YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED TO CEASE AND DESIST ANY FURTHER CALLS UNTIL I RECEIVE IN WRITING YOUR OFFER. OF SETTLEMENT I ALSO HAVE MADE PAYMENTS TO CHASE REGARDING A SETTLEMENT OFFER WITH THEM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME IN THIS MATTER.

I know!!! I have consolidated my dell account they have recieved their payment and they still call me. I am going to write them a nice letter stating this and see what happens.

This company will call you and scare you into submission. If you are like me, you do not like having a past due debt but right now some things are unavoidable. The first time I spoke to them they told me they would give me 90 days to get this straightened out. The next time they asked me if I owned my home, where I worked, and told me that they were ATTORNEY's which is the worst thing that you feel can happen. I was crying by the time I got off the phone. I looked them up and found out they are third party debt collector's and although they hold some clout, they are only the collectors. I have filed a complaint with the Massachusettes Better Business Bureau. I am five months pregnant and supposed to be avoiding stress. Having someone tell you they will call all day, take your home, garnish your wages, and have you in court in 48 hours scares you pretty bad. My bp has yet to come back to normal. They do call about six times a day but won't leave messages any more since I told them I will be taping all further communication. I intend to pay my debt but keeping my house is a little more important then a Dell bill at this point in time. I tried to set up a payment arrangement and they said the only way they will settle is for the amount in full. I do not have access to $2,000 so the harrassment continues. Never meant to fall behind. The stinky thing is the original debt was only $570....learn from my mistake. If you can't pay cash, you don't really need it.

Ditto. I have explained several times that they are trying to reach the person who had the phone number prior to us. In fact, we have had the phone number since October 2005. Apparently, they have nothing better to do than waste their time leaving worthless voicemails. Our greeting clearly states our names and no one named "joanne" that they are looking for is referenced. Still, they leave messages. I am reporting them as we are on the Do not call registry as well.

This is Valentine and Kebartas. I called the number BACK to find that out. We (my family and I) have a second line into our home for a home based business. The second line has been ours for about four to six months now, and the very first day it was connected, this company started calling for apparently the previous owner of that particular phone number. We have answered and spoken to several reps, informing them that there is NO ONE here by that name, and yet they still continue to call. My next step is to contact the phone company and request a line tap due to harassing calls, then we'll sue.

2008-03-17 17:21:58 UTCNetzar

This is a collections agency, they dont leave messages. However, as an insight, from their employment page (Just because I was curious) the project manager position reveals that their policy is to try for 4 months and then either litigate or close the file.

2008-01-15 22:43:42 UTChelengajda

your people are rude rude rude and you need to take no that this is not the resident of the phone number you got and take it off your list when the caller tells you that what a jerk this company is!!

2008-01-15 22:42:39 UTChelen gajda

this number has been calling our house and we have found out it is a collection agency for another person with our name, gajda!! Now i am tired of the harassement and rudeness of these people and i will not tolerate much more before i turn them in!! take my phone number off your list because if i get one more call, i will turn this company over to the better business bureau. get your facts straight before you go just dialing numbers!!!

Send him an email and give them the number they called and tell him that you want them to "Cease and Desist per 15 USC 41, 1692c" Back it up with a written letter, sent to the address at top of the page with the same. It will stop them from calling you ever again, guaranteed. - The letter is important, otherwise it will not work.

2007-01-27 14:42:33 UTCLinda

Keep calling my home looking for unknown person. Evidently a collection agency but they never leave a message and they don't remove you from their list even when you explain that the person they are looking for does not live at that phone number

2006-10-11 15:09:21 UTCMisti

Won't leave a message.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
