Call John at home and tell him that you don’t like frivolous phone call from Wells Fargo. If enough people call him at home he might start to understand!
These crazy people called me today at 6:46am! I don't even have an account with them. When they called two days ago, I asked them politely to stop calling. Today I asked to speak to a supervisor, who said, "Oh, I think we got signals crossed," when asked why they are calling me at 6:46 in the morning. What? How is harrassing a family who doesn't do business with you and breaking the law of not soliciting before 9am "crossed signals"? When I asked him what the heck that meant, he couldn't answer me. And that was the guy who claimed to run the place, named Tim in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota office. I asked him for Wells Fargo Financial's headquarters where I could file a formal complaint and he would not give me that information, telling me instead to write HIM a letter complaining about HIS office. What a joke! Then he whined that he "didn't deserve" having to take the complaint. WAAAAH! So your office calls someone who doesn't even do business with you at 6:46 in the morning and YOU'RE not being treated fairly? What an idiot! I will never, ever do business with Wells Fargo Financial, ever!
It is not illegal for them to call you at work.
BUT-- under the fair credit collections act, if you tell them not to call you at work, they are required to stop. Tell them, "You must cease and desist making these phone calls to me at my place of employment. You are JEOPARDIZING MY JOB by making these calls to me." Say those words to them. Some of them will still keep calling, "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry, I didn't read the note in your file," blah blah blah.
However, they can still write to you, call you at home, even visit you in person.
You can write to them and tell them not to call you at home as well. However, that must be in writing. Some of the unethical 3rd party collectors don't want to give you their address because they don't want you to write the letter. But you can usually find it on the internet.
However, if you stop the phone calls, you may be pushing them to sue you, instead.
If you truly can't pay your bills, filing bankruptcy may be the responsible thing to do. You can put these people off for a while but not forever.
DaCheat...don't tell me that Wells Fargo is understanding!!!!! I know I pay YOUR wages and they should be good. When they tried to make my life easier they insisted that it would work for me and now put me further into debt. I insisted that we couldn't handle this arangement and now hours got cut at work and the money that we lost now has to go to medical bills. Then...when I called them to try and correct this they said they couldn't do anything about it. Then I got someone that helped me with a plan and I am doing it and I still am gettin horrassed!!!! Don't Wells Fargo read info on the accounts or comunicate with each other I thought that is what computers were for!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got 40 HANG UPS at work the last few days and I do answer the Flipping phone like you said too. I also got one on my cellphone last night. Now that is RUDE!!!!!! You idiots hangup. It has already started again this morning. Once I get things cleared up...I will NEVER go back to you guys again.
They also get pissed if you do not set up a check by phone. I know I owe the money and have been paying what I can, since losing my job. Oh well, guess they will continue to call.
They call 4-5 times a day even when my payment is not late! Now they have been hooked up to a fax machine! So whatever!
They are complete assholes. And they have the most archaic system on the planet. Never receive the statements, the only company I have issues with on this, and they call multiple times in a row. I dont answer numbers I don't know. Finally call them back and they said I need to set up a payment (hard to know when its due and how much without a statement), and guess what, unlike every other financial institution that takes a debit card (attached to a checking account), they only take it via the routing and account number of a checking account. Ever so convenient. Gave them the number and got a confirmation number. Then I get 2 more calls from the same BS number that evening. So I figured that they entered the info wrong (crazy notion for such good customer service, huh? sarcasm) and never had anything taken from my account in 2 or so days. That made me think they jacked it up. So I finally figure out their online system and make a payment and it was taken out within 2 days (using routing and account numbers, just like I did over phone) and then check my account balance today and had overdraft charges, and guess what from, the payment I setup over the phone over a week earlier. They dont want to take responsibility, and never once told me they would take so long to do it with their heads that far up their asses.
Screw em. They've been ripping off people for decades. I like how they have the computer call you then tell you to wait for an agent. Fuck that and fuck them.
They call every hour and will not stop!
I received a call from Wells Fargo regarding my Visa card. The account is 10 days past due for $41. I told the lady I spoke with I would pay the payment, but it would be helpful to receive the statements in the mail stating the due date.
Wells Fargo is TERRIBLE!! My daughter is the one who has the debt with them and she moved out and due to a falling out, we do not speak. I do not know where she is or her current phone number. This place calls me on the average of 8 times per day! They know my daughter does not live here and even though my daughter is 22 they are expecting me to pay this bill which is not mine! I have repeatedly told them not to call anymore since my daughter does not live with me but they still do! I am sick of these harrassing phone calls! I have asked them not to call and to take me off their phone log and they refuse to! I am now going to find out what I can do legally to get these people to stop calling my HOME!!!!
They call me all day at work and on my cell phone several times a day as well. Total Harassment NEVER borrow money from them! Biggest mistake of my life...If you are ONE DAY late the harassing calls start. I'm considering legal action.
2 calls in 2 hours. no message left
I just called the number and the woman REFUSED to send me a stateent (asking her three times for one) and accusing me of being RUDE and hung up on me. Looks like the BBB is getting a call about this.
DaCheat, I guess you are one of the lucky few who have NEVER had a late payment. How nice for you. But sometimes, things happen and circumstances change. I know that I am horrible at managing money so I don't need you to tell me that. And I have "picked up the damn phone" and talked to a rep before. A rep who wasn't happy with my explanation of why my payment was ONE day late. A rep who INSISTED that I let them draft my account for the payment amount. A rep who was unbelievably rude. So you will forgive me if I don't pick up the damn phone.
Get a better job??? I love my job. The pay is amazing and the benefits are even better. All I'm saying is if you want WFF to stop calling, just work with them, and they will help you.
Yes some collection people are pricks, but not all of us are heartless. Just tell them what's going on and most of the time they'll get you set up on a program to help you out a great deal.
DaCheat - go f&%k yourself! It's not our fault you can't get a job with a better company. Leave your number so we can call and harrass you.
Yes it is Wells Fargo, I currently work there.
Just so you all know yes we can call your work, yes we can leave messages, and yes we can call whoever we want in order to find you. We gave you money, that you now owe us. It's not our fault you suck at managing money... We call 4 times a day because you don't answer, if you would just pick up the damn phone you'd only receive 1 phone call a day. As far has having no humanity we try to help you, if you blow us off telling us to fuck off, of course we're going to call you more, of course we're not going to put you on programs... But if you are nice, explain what happened, we can put you on payment programs that can cut your monthly payments up to $400 a month...
You want us to stop calling? Then check your statements and stop spending money you don't have. It's nobody's fault but your own. End of Story.
This number calls my house too many times. And I do NOT have account with Wells Fargo.
... OH, forgot to mention. I received 7 calls in one day, my bill is up to date and I just received 2 in 1 minute. Am I the only one on their calling list???
Its wells fargo financial. They have no sense of humor and no sense of humanity. I underpaid, unknowingly, by $10 - because I didn't receive a statement. They threatened to send me to collections because I was 'past due' for 10 days. Don't open an account with these people! This coming from someone who worked for their sister company - wells fargo bank.
Damn Wells Fargo calling my old workplace...chasing me down for a damn 4 dollar bill

I have never had any dealing with them, yet they call. Once I answered, and they asked for someone I never heard of. I told them that, but they still call 3 or 4 times a day. I ususally just let it ring when I see it on caller ID. If I pick up and hang up immediately, it just rings again. How can I stop this telephone harassment? This has been going on for a month.
By law they cannot call your work place.
Caller ID only shows 800 Service.
It wouldn't be so bad if they did not call my work 3+ times a day leaving messages.. like you said KI I guess it is to embarass us!!!

Wells Fargo Financial Payment System, But why they've to call my employer and leave a message for me with'em instead of just call me at home ? I guess they try to create some embarrassment for me ! what a hell !
We get alot of calls from these numbers that are computer-dialed. When we answer, no one is there. It gets annoying!
