HSBC saying they are calling for someone who doesn't exist at this household. They are another outsourced harrassemnt calling telemarketer based in India- but everyone has very American names!!!!! Then when you ll them back to remove yourself off of their list it takes 30 days!!! They should all be in jail
Suggest answering and setting the phone next to talk show radio. If everyone did this, I wonder if it would have an impact. Another option, report to the FTC and phone company. If they all get enough reports someone will try to get resolution assigned to the right hands.
THey keep calling, asking you to pay for a service you DON'T NEED. Their trick is to use someone who speaks such a bad English you can hardly understand what they say. Another trick is to use what I call "23RD GRADE ENGLISH"; that is you know you are listening to English words, but you can't really make anything out of it!
After I told them not to call anymore they still call!
I call this HARASSMENT!
I have been getting daily calls from HSBC. I've gone the automated "Remove your number" route, to no avail. I've spoken with a live person (from some foreign country) requesting I be removed. This has been going on for over a month and they still call several times a day. I'M SICK OF THIS AND IT HAS TO STOP!
This is HSBC and they are placing a collection call asking for a person who is unkown to anyone in our home. When we tried to explain this to the calling agent, he hung up. We called their collections dept. 1-866-683-7419 and no one can find the name they constantly call for. Pathetic!!!!
This is HSBC, and they are "marketing" their services if you have an HSBC credit card (which could be one of several stores that they provide financing for).
Supposedly you can call the number back 800-446-1022, press option 2, enter your phone number, and they will "remove you from their telemarketing list, but it can take up to 30 days."
Called back and was offered option to opt out of their telemarketing list (through automated system), so I did. They said it would take up to 30 days.
John dude make collection for ERS (Express Recovery Service) also numbers could be:
801-412-3126, 801-486-4182 or 800-238-5888.
keeps on calling over and over even though we never answer and they never leave a message. i guess i should answer and ask to be put on the dnc list.
HBCS keeps calling. Called the 800-446-1022 and automated system stated why they are calling. They give an option to have phone number removed from their list =)
Have never answered their calls, they hang up when machine picks up.
From other places ive researched on the net, its the telemarketing arm of HSBC.
Can't ignore them. They just continually harass with their calls. Not only do they call landlines, they now have begun calling cell phones. All my numbers are on the DNC list. But it makes no difference. if ever you have had dealings with them in any sort, that gives them the right to call thus making them exempt from the law. This should not be, but it is and we're stuck with either answering the call and taking their guff or continue to let the machine take the call.
Don't answer it a telemarketer trying to trick you in getting your card charged monthly for some useless service.
They call us several times a day. We know not to answer when we see the caller id.

HSBC Telemarketing - called back and used menu option to have our number removed from their list
Canceled our cards with HSBC, paid them in full and told them to take a hike....... I think they're calling to offer a special deal or rate...... "No Thanks"........ Another number for the "Selective Call Block" list.......
Thanks, but not thanks......
Definitely HSBC wanting to sell me something, because I have a card from them.
Dug thru HSBC (GM Card) & found if you call 888-803-0279 you can 'Opt Out' of these calls. Hope it works....
Talk to these nut cases from HSBC trying to sell identity theft protection. Told them last night that I was not interested and to remove me from their list. They called again tonight. Answered and they hung up. Called the number on caller ID and had name removed from list. They said that it would take up to 30 days. Told them that any furthur calls from them would result in a $100,000 penalty. (if they can use recordings to give message, we can also.)
I have been gettingup to 3 or 4 calls a day from this number 800-446-1022 it says toll free...they never leave a message..I am getting fed up with this!
They call all the time!!! Back to Back calling too. I am going to try what some mentioned to call back the number and get off of their list.
have just recently started receiving calls from this #. never leave message on machine. have had account with HSBC affiliated company for many years. within the past year they have increased my interest rate and decreased my credit limit. when account is paid-in-full intent to close account. In meantime, won't let these calls upset me or cause any stress -- I JUST IGNORE THEM. In today's sorry economy even telemarketers desperately need their jobs. JUST IGNORE THE CALLS. they'll go away sooner or later.
I got them to stop calling (finally) about 3 or 4 months ago... or so I thought. All of the sudden the calls started up again. As if I had suddenly changed my mind and now it's ok to call. We haven't opened up any new credit accts (which legally gives them the right to start calling you again until you request, I mean, demand a cease fire)so I don't know why they took me off the list and then added me back again. I called the number back and chose option 2 and now it takes up to 60 days (I repeat, 60 DAYS) to be removed from thier list!!! WOW!
These people are bottom dwellers.I worked for a company years ago that used their service to offer credit to our customers. This made then alot of money with the huge interest and in return they harrassed the customer and sold their informatiom. These pratices resulted in my company dropping then and a class action suit.I guess they never learn.Maybe they need another class action suit filed again.
I have a system that announces through out my house whose calling and calling number also associated with that is a caller ID that announces to the calling number that this phone number will not accept your call. They can keep pressing their buttons as long as they want, but will never get through!
Good tips for what to do are at 800-446-1022.com - but here's my story:
I said "No" to 7 callers. 4 more were hang-ups. I called back, chose option #2 & left my name on their "do not call" list. On call #12, I asked for a supervisor and raised holy hell by recounting these calls and telling her that these relentless calls have guaranteed that I will NEVER buy anything from them. My next steps are to report them to "Do Not Call" abuse; file a report with my state's Attorney General & Better Business Bureau & to call my credit card associated with them (Orchard Bank) and tell them that I will cancel my card because of the way HSBC (and their call toadies ICP) harrass with their calls. I've had it and now am fighting back.
I found this site 800-446-1022.com
They tell who this number belongs to and how to get them to stop calling.
Calls constantly even though I am on "do not call" and I have verbally told them to stop calling me. Or they just hang up. They call 24/7.
these people have called my house umpteen times and when I answer the phone no one is there ... until this morning when a woman I could barely understand said she was calling for HSBC and offering fraud protection for a credit card for $1.00 per $100.00 balance. I kept playing with her and told her I didn't understand and she read "her sales pitch" over and over. One thing you must be careful of is never answer any question with a "yes" or you are signed up! I think I drove this woman nuts by asking questions over and over .. she finally hung up on me! LMAO
Per HSBC Fraud Dept this is a Fraudulent caller DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION TO THE CALLER!!!!
This one called every day. Finally answered and was told they could only talk to my husband. Quickly asked which company the worked for and was Room Store. They called again and husband spoke with her. She was trying to get him to by something.
Since HSBC marketing keeps calling everyone, maybe we should all start calling the phone numbers on all the cards you have. See how the bank or credit company likes it. Tell them when they stop calling we will all stop calling. Thank You.
they call every day asking for my number...i have been hella rude to them. telling them to stop calling or the correction pronounciation of my mothers name and that she is never home at this time...three times i have told them "you call at the same time everyday and she is not home" they say they'll make a note of it. but same things happens the next day.
HA-HA-HA!!!
Welcome to interceptorid.com
If you call this number back it says it is HSBC and that they are calling you because you have a credit card or some other account with them. They do give you a method to take your number off their automated calling system, however they say it may take up to 60 days to remove. I plan to ensure that they donot call again after July 15th. If they don't I will file a complaint with the Attorney General. FYI - I do not have any credit cards with this company and have never even heard of them.
Need to get the NY Attorney General's Office on this company - they are not following the rules of the DNC List.
I will be in our State Capitol on Monday and will visit with our Attorney General and see if he can do anything about them here in Texas.
HSBC and Capital One
First Call there was Silence on the line when answered. never heard a disconnect
Second Call Operator said HSBC and Capital One did not speak english very clearly and were extremely rude. I CALLED HSBC THIS NUMBER NOT IN THEIR DATA BASE
Daily telemarketing calls and pounds of junk mail each week. When will it end! I even get credit card offers for my dad who passed away 3 years ago. I should fill out the application and see if I can get credit for a dead person! As far as the telemarketers, I am going to by an air horn and blast them in the ear whenever they call!
Great! They raised my interest rate, lowered my limit, and now they want me to buy insurance? I DO NOT THINK SO!!!!! KISS IT HSBC!

800-446-1022.com
These people call 7 days a week, 4 or 5 times a day. They keep calling even when told you are on DNC lists and tell them to cease calling. I suspect they are outsourced to India. When I ask who is calling they give me bad information.
A call for insurance commission investigation of HSBC
Stop calls from HSBC 800 446-1022 number
HSBC Account Secure plan fails to pay insurance
HSBC Beneficial Insurance Service is insurance packing - again
Calls and does not leave a message. Telemarketers are driving me nuts.
I WANT THIM TO STOP CALLING ME.
calls every morning@8:00am no message
Get calls on the phone at least twwice a day , if not more.
Update to original comment below....Just a fair warning for everyone, they just tried calling me again! So be prepared for them to continue trying!
I called the 800 number back and also hit #2 and entered my phone number. They did say it would take up to 60 days to remove...and I agree with wcgirl's comments...it shouldn't take that long, but at least you can get removed!
I have been getting them for a while now....I just let the answering machine pick it up. I feel that it was important they would leave a message or better yet it they can't reach me by phone then maybe a certified letter would get me the message.
I have an HSBC affiliated credit card account, so that must be how they got my phone number. I logged into my account online and change my phone number to some number that doesn't exist (I hope). (area code)123-4567. Let's see if they keep calling now.
several calls, no messages.
It's a telemarketing call from HSBC. You can call the number on your caller ID back and press 2 to get your number removed from their calling list. But it will take up to 60 DAYS! That's completely ridiculous. In this day and age with all the technology we have- 60 days??? They just want to be able to call you some more.
Have been calling every hour since 10 am today called 3 times last night between 7 and 9pm
I kept getting the same call, but I did not feel comfortable calling a "strange" number so I called HSBC directly. They were very polite and took me off the telemarketing list in one second. If you have more than one HSBC card, you must call the number on the back of each card separately.
Annoying hang up calls on my answer machine as many as three times a day. No msg ever left.
ALL unknown callers are caller ID checked first before sent to the delete file.
NOTE: >> The National DNC list is a false sense of privacy. (AKA; a bunch of hooey)
Called to offer some special service with my credit card. After a week of calls, I cussed the indian man like a sailor and began getting calls again the very next day.
I have never answered a call when this number comes up on called I.D.
They never leave a message. Daily phone calls, recently they started calling at 8:30 p.m.
Today is Saturday and I already received my first call at 9:03 a.m. I too am on the Do Not Call List.
As per the "removal-of-phone-number-from-telemarketing-list" instructions provided by 800-446-1022.com, I called this number back, chose option #2, entered my phone number, and a voice message promised to remove my number from their telemarketing list within 30 days. Yes, it is HSBC and I have several accounts with them that I will keep unless they continue harassing me after the 30 days is up. I am currently getting about 30 calls a week.
They have called several times and wouldn't leave a message.
Keep getting calls from this number -- they never leave message on answering machine, but just keep calling. The calls are a nuisance. They call all hours of the day and on weekends.
Please stop thesr calls. They are the poorest possible marketing tool. Would not buy, look it, or listen to anything they have to sell, say or promise. Out. Why is this allowed. Telephone companies need to be held liable.
Looking around trying to find information on this number I found this website: 800-446-1022.com Talks about who it is and what to do about their calls.
I dont know who this number is but when I first answer the call they do announce they are telemarketers. They call even though I am on the national do-not-call list.
Called at 6:30 in the morning!
If I receive one more call from you I will go to the Attorney General and see what he can do about the calls.
They would not leave a message. This phone call came from 800-446-1022.
Here we go with HSBC as well with these annoying calls. Its either HSBC or Capital One that keeps making these harrassing phone calls continually day, after day, after day. You tell them to stop calling, and the still continue to call. They will start calling as early as 8:00am on weekends, mind you. Very annoying. STOP THESE HARRASSING PHONE CALLS IMMEDIATELY!!!
Silence on the line when answered. never heard a disconnect.
The calls started again a week or two ago. Reading others' advice, I called back and selected option 2 to have my number removed. If that doesn't work I will probably cancel my credit card with them. And have an airhorn ready for the next call.
This is from HSBC telemarketing. If you call the number back, you get a recording. I hit option 2, which is remove my phone number from your calling list. It does say, though, that it will take up to 60 days to remove the phone number! They are very annoying, calling at all hours a million times a day.
Called - asked for Jason - wife answered and she said it was a complimentary call from some Nevada bank, then hung up. My wife said hard to understand - did not speak english very clearly
When you pick, wait for a live person who is India.
DO NOT let them get a word in edgewise !!!!
Immedietly ask WHO they are, WHAT their name is and WHO they represent.
(as you are doing this, DO NOT let them get a word in, keep talking over them)
Then ask for a supervisor ( you will be put on hold for a minute)
Then DEMAND the supervisors name and TELL the supervisor that you WILL be taking legal action not only against their company but against that person. DO NOT be nice, be assertive, be loud, be rude (call them some choice words)talk over them. DEMAND that your number be removed from their call list !!!!!
During the whole time, take charge of the phonecall, DO NOT let them get in a word unless its YES SIR(MAAM) or NO SIR (MAAM).
Have that they repeat back your demands.
After they repeat back your demands, say to "persons name" and keep repeating back his name (after you wrote it down) that you will personally find out who they are and that unseen trouble will befall them if your demands are not met.
Do not be shy by belittling them, talking down to them or even cursing at them.
GIVE THEM AN EARFULL.
Added to the blacklist on my asterisk server, they still continue to call and get the blacklist recording. It's like they don't care.
Keeps calling I answered once its a recorded message that says it a telemarketing call then a human got on the line and hung up on me when I asked who they were. Both the recording and the human were barely intelligible broken English
Constant calls. Hang-ups. I am on all DNC lists and will now notify state Attorney General.
This is HSBC. I guess they want to increase your monthly bill by offering new deals to add to your credit card.
They called and were extremely rude. It was not a late notice, but rather an offer for insurance. I declined, they asked why and I told them the truth, I have just been diagnosed with liver cancer. They began LAUGHING! Said now I need the card insurance. Money is not a problem, but it is a problem with these jack asses laughing at a terminal disease. We must stop this treatment of customers.
Other sites list this as HSBC... they call about three-to-four time per day and hang up as soon as outgoing answering machine message is heard/sensed. Complaint filed with FCC.
We have been getting calls from this # from 7:30 AM through 10:30 PM almost every day. They stopped for about a week and now are beginning again. This is ridiculous considering I have a small baby in the house and the phone is forever ringing from this number. I had to start turning my ringer off while he is sleeping because of them. They NEVER leave a message!! Have no idea who they are or what they want. Have no behind bills, so this is just crazy and even if people do have behind bills, would this still not be considered harassment?
They called FOUR times today!
HSBC....Most likely Orchard Bank credit cards.
HSBC telemarketing dept. If you call the number back you will get a list of options. Option #2 is to remove your number from their list.
ok i don't know who this person is but hey called my house times in a 2 hour time period....at 3:08pm.3:49pm, 4:01pm, 4:20pm, 4:35pm, 4:46pm, 5:05pm, 5:28pm...if it's that important then leave a freaking message!!!
this is a credit card call. they wanting to help w/ credit card services
caller asks for my wife. I ask to take a message and they say they will call back. I tell them she does not accept marketing calls and if that is what this is, please do not call her again. The next day they call again. this has gone on for two weeks now.
Missed call on my cell phone. Unknown caller. Interesting, on same day that Chase Credit Card Co. called my cell phone with ID code to access my account. What's more interesting, is that you can choose what # you want Chase to contact you (by last 4 digits of a phone #). I chose my home # and, strangley enough, my cell # rang and that was not a choice.
Call the number back, hit option 2 and have your phone number removed from their telemarketing list. It's all automated, you don't have to talk to a live person. Supposedly can take up to 30 days to go into effect.
They called several times a week for a few weeks then stopped a couple of months ago. Now they are back! Damn them!
Well, after this number calling me two and three times every day I finally called the number back, got their little recording, and chose option 2 to be removed from their telemarketing list. 60 days seems like an awful long time for them to get my info on their DNC list, but hey, it's their dime everytime they call since I won't answer them anyway.
I receive about 6 - 8 calls a day from (800)446-1022. It is the telemarketing division of HSBC. Finally, after a couple of weeks of seeing the number on my caller ID, I called the number back. You get an automated recording that tells you that you are probably calling because you saw the number on your caller id. It also says that they are the telemarketing division. When they give you the list of options, press 2 to have your number removed from their telemarketing list. It says it can take up to 60 days to remove your number, but 60 days is better than the next 60 years. I just called the number at 8:00 CST tonight and put in my phone number to get it removed so we'll see.
I just wrote them an email and told them that I WILL NOT PAY MY BILL UNTIL THE CALLS STOP let's see what that does.
Was getting calls from this number a couple of months ago, when I finally answered it, they were offering me credit protection insurance, which I had to say NO to five times before the person on the other end finally stopped giving me their pitch, said thank you and hung up. Went a month without calls, and now they've been calling my home once, sometimes twice, a day again. I guess they didn't understand the word NO the first time.
800-446-1022 callls me at least 3x a day. IT IS VERY AGGRAVATING!!!! They wait for my answering machine to pick up and NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE!!!!
THIS HAS TO STOP!!!
Called twice in one day. Different Caller ID both times (Unknown Name and Toll Free Call)
Calls from this number occur numerous times each day.
I finally looked the number up here and saw what it was. I recently opened and account with them but didn't sign up for the 'protection'. I'm assuming that's what they want to sell me. I called them back and pressed option 2 to remove my number. We'll see if they stop calling after a month.
Continually calls asking for my husband. Useless waste of manhood
calls but NEVER leaves a message for a return call
I've been recieving the phone calls from this number for weeks. They started out of nowhere. I called my phone company and they told me how to block the number. I've blocked it but it still shows up on my call log when I check it online.
I finally called the number back with a huge "stop-calling-me" line going through my head but was surprised at the prompts.
Prompt #1- You're calling about your credit card account.
Prompt #2- You wanna get off the telemarketing list.
Pick #2 and input your phone number when the prompt says so. It says thank you and it might take up to 60 days to remove you from the system.
Quick easy and painless.
Wow.
call all the time, no one answers, no message left
When I answered they asked for me and I said this is she. The caller just said okay I will call back another time and hung up. What the ---- is up with that.
HSBC Credit selling insurance and upgrades to credit cards or auto loans
They have called incessantly for the past two days. I answsered yesterday and that's when I discovered they are calling on behalf of Direct Merchants Bank and trying to sell me products. I told her I'm not interested and this morning my phone started to ring at 8:30 and they've called back every half hour since.
I called the number back and it is HSBC there is a recording push option #2 to cancel phone calls...message said it could take up to 60 days though...ulg
I CALLED HSBC THIS NUMBER NOT IN THEIR DATA BASE AND THEY SHOWED KNOWONE CALLING ME FROM HSBC. TRIED TO CALL THE NUMBER BACK AND IT WOULDN'T LET ME
Asked for spouse and when they were told he was unavailable, they hung up.
Calls came in from this number at 5:30 PM, 7 PM, 8:30 PM, 9:15 AM. If I answer, it hangs up immediately.
Has called 8 times in the past week and has not left a message.
Did you know that all companies have a privacy policy? All you have to do is contact HSBC and ask them to send you a copy of their privacy policy. . in it, it will state how to go about getting your name removed from telemarketing calls. Most of the time you must write a letter stating your request that your name and information is not to be shared with other and that your number be removed from any and all internal and external calls. This does work I have used it many times and my phone has been blissfully silent!!!!
I called back. There is a recorded announcement that you need to call another number. That call, it informs you, will cost $5.49.
Yes, that's HSBC. They're actually a British company, so they feel that they don't have to obey any U.S. laws. I had a car financed through them a few years ago and they were a pleasure to work with and were actually kind enough to lower my interest rate when I asked them, but my local credit union offered a much better deal, so I switched. That's when their endless phone calls began. If you think their telephone sales pitches are a pain, you should read all the garbage they send through the U.S. mail. Can you stop the calls? Probably not because they're above the law and don't care about whether you're disturbed or not.
This is one of several 1-800 numbers associated with HSBC as others have mentioned. The number is an auto-dialer that calls my # 2-3 a day for a week or two, then it will stop for a few weeks before restarting. They never leave a message, because the software waits for a live person before transfering you to the live tele-spammer. In my case, I know the company got my number after I signed up for a credit card with orchard bank. If you read the fine print in the contract, HSBC is affiliated with a number of the high interest or pre-paid cards. Yes, they do aggressively call and try to sell you crap you do not need, to charge you more monthly fees on your account. My suggestion is rather than going through the auto-menu, call and bother real people. Clearly the people working for these companies need more stress and abuse, if they are to be discouraged from continuing this annoying practice. Or have some fun when the live person finally comes on. Try mimicking their accent and/or asking a lot of inappropriate personal questions. After all, they called you; not the other way around. Alternatively, get the call blocker service or software that filters unknown calls or 800-numbers.
Get calls all the time...do not answer. I do not understand why our elected officials allow this type of harrassment to continue. Frankly, I was bothered LESS before I signed up for the DO NOT CALL registry. These leaches on society just found a way around the law...
I called 800-446-1022 and selected #2 to have my number removed from their calling list. The recording says it will take up to **60** Days for it to go into effect. Yipee! 60 more days of annoying phone calls! :P
number calls me weekly, daily, always at the same time!! ITs getting really annoying~!
Called about 8 times today- more and more each day- unsubscribed to the number but now says can take up to 60 days!
This 800# calls frequently but today knew my name, asked if that's who they were speaking to, then didn't say anything and finally said "thanks for the information" and hung up.
I can set my clock with these a**holes! 8:01 am I get my first call, 9:01 am on Sundays; and they call up until 8:59pm. They like to call, wait 5 seconds, and call again. Never a message. I dispise them. They suck.
Almost every day for a week now, I've been getting a call with a regular number from HSBC Credit Card Services. I haven't been answering it. Today they switched to using a toll-free number. I still didn't answer. Googled the number to find this website and to find out it's STILL HSBC bothering me. I called back the number and chose option #2 to remove my number from their list. It now takes up to SIXTY (that's right... 60!) days to remove your number from their list. Annoying!
man i'm getting sick and tired of these idiot spammers hammering my wireline phone. so annoying having to fight with spam email (i'm a IT guy) then having to fight phone spam too. sometimes, i hate this day and age.
oh and the national do not call list means jack when it is the unethical company that calls you and ignores the list. ... retards
Called our home. Left no message on voice mail. Have no caller i. d.. Star 69'd the call, to retrieve their number. Their address is as follows: P. O. Box 50406
Nashville, TN 37205
Am unable to contact. Their telephone and email are set up for the sales department only!
SUGGESTION: Contact the FCC and your Attorney General immediately, if you do not want them contacting you.
Thank you.
After the second call today I chose to answer. There was a person on the other end. I told them that this number is on the do not call list. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand everything that was replied because of the strong accent. I did get that they would tag our number, but it may take up to 30 days for the calls to stop.
I *strongly* dislike HSBC. I have an excellent credit history, however they made a huge error on one of my cards. The local retailer held my card and who uses their service called them directly and instructed them to make a correction to my account immediately. HSBC still didn't handle my account approprately.
I have learned that HSBC is used by Best Buy, The Bon-Ton, Boscov's, and Value City. I cancelled all my cards in stores that use HSBC and have avoided making purchases from these retailers. I wish I knew what other local stores or national chains are hooked up with this outfit!!!!!!! They would also lose my business. I know of no other way to fight these idiots.
i receive 8-10 calls a day,no messages and no one on the other end wish i knew who was the head of this company i would take a night off and call them every hour
Call alll the time and even if you opt out they will still call; I oppted out when HSBC was calling to sell stuff nearly a year ago and they keep calling. I have reported it but nothing happens. I took my name off there list, I am on the do not call list both cell and home and can't get HSBC to stop calling. I called customer service and yet they still call. Gave customer service a warning to have the telemarketers to stop calling me or I would cancel my accounts and if they continued after that I was calling my attorney. I have an appointment with my attorney today. Does that tell you the stage I am at. I do not know why they keep calling to sell me things. I don't want them and I did remove my name. THEY JUST WON'T STOP! HSBC SUCKS!
Calls 3-4 times a day and hangs up when phone is answered. How do you stop it?
called five times today. call on daily basis. no messages.
This number appears and I finally called back - HSBC credit cards - recording allows me to opt out - but won't be for SIXTY days - not the 30 others have said.
These assholes call several times per day and won't leave a message. What's the point?
51 Calls since June 13th 2008 (7 days) 17 today alone (June 20th 2008).
Called & removed name from telemarketing list, was told it will take up to 60 days to remove!
This call comes up every day and how do you block these calls without answering them?
If you'll call the same number back, you'll get a message from HSBC admitting they are the ones behind the calls. Continue to listen to the message and you will be given the opportunity to block further calls BUT it might take them 60 days before they can process your request -- that's a bunch of BS!!!
800-446-1022 has called several times. Checked the web & found out the following information... address P.O. BOX 50406 Nashville TN 37205 USA. Web site address: digital-design.com Products from company are: VOIP, PBX, UNLIMITED FREE INTERNATIONAL CALLING, (THIS ONES A JOKE,CAUSE MY CALL BLOCKING ALLOWS THEM TO CALL MY HOME) CALL BLOCKING, CUSTOMIZED PHONE FEATURES. WHEN I CHECKED ANOTHER SITE IT STATED THEY WERE HSBC. NOW REALLY... IF I COULD CHANGE IDENTITIES LIKE THAT, I'D WANT BILL GATES LIFE. WHO ARE THEY TO ME IS JUST ANOTHER OF LIFES ANNOYANCES.
I am receiving several calls each day from this number, starting very early in the morning and lasting into the evening. I called it back and chose Option 2 to have my number removed from their "telemarketing" list. The recording says it may take up to 60 days for removal. Their removal list must be getting long!
credit card trying to sell me account protection after I have told them repeatedly I am not interested. It's a computer that speaks like a woman, but it's definitely a computer
How do you get this # to stop calling~ I am gettng calls up tp 5 times a day.
I want it to stop.
Received over 30 calls at this number for the month of May. A gentleman informed us online to call back the toll=free number as they had a punch-in to remove your number from their lists. It's HSBC Bank. It said it could take up to 6 weeks--it only took a week. However, today (6/7) I received another call from 800-975-4722. When I called back, it was HSBC Bank again but this time no section to remove your phone number! So I guess that means I will now be harassed to death with their hang-up calls from this new number! Thre oughta be a law against this.
keep calling. leave no message
asked to speak to daughter
wouldn't leave message
Same time every evening for 5 days. I never answer. It's annoying though!
Calls many times 7 days week. HSBC selling more services. Call them back at the same # and hit option 2 to be removed from their telemarketing list.
if you are getting calls from them its becouse you have a credit card through them. these calls are NOT prohibited by trhe national do not call list becouse they have a business relationship with you. simply ask to be removed from thier solicitation list, and within 30 days the calls shouls cease. good luck unibonger
no message.
I'm infuriated to learn this is from my credit card company by their telemarketing division in India. Maybe they think US law does not apply to them in this case, then? Ten calls yesterday, and one this morning -- I had a field day with them this morning. I have also filed a complaint with the FCC. If anyone hasn't done that yet, I'd suggest you do -- the only way the FCC will do something is if they receive hundreds/thousands of complaints. LET THEM KNOW!
CALLED MY HOUSE AT 9 freakin' o clock at night!! I am reporting them!
Multiple calls every day for several weeks now. Never leaves a message.
I get 3 0r 4 (or more) calls from this number nearly every day. They don't leave a message, but it is still very annoying.
I do not answer such calls. I do log, them, however. Let them pay.
Called the number back and picked option 2 to remove my phone number from there list--message informed me it will now take up to 60 days
That's It. I've had it with these people. Let's set a date. Go to HSBC Card Services
PO Box 60173

... and take every phuking fone off every desk and shove it up their gluteus maximus! or... pray for them that they will see the errors of their ways and change. Here is their customer service number: 1-800-771-7339 it's time to call them back! I called them, finally got to the operator. He/she or it didn't answer. Maybe someone arrived there before I did!
The phone has been ringing,to many times unknown,HSBC,this company is totally telephone harrassment, need to stop calling, this is a pain in the butt, the telephone is paid by me,not this number.Stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!15 times today5/21/08
From A Texan who is annoyed.
6 more calls from these jerkoffs in the past 2 days alone. I've received calls every day from these jackasses for 9 days straight except on a Sunday. FUCCKKK YOUUU ...you bunch of dirtbags !!!!!!!!!
Calls several times a day from this number but when answered, no one is ever on the other end
don't send these poeple any money
Call constantly. Answer, no one there. *69 and got #. Called them and got someone who could not speak english. Told her to take me off list and she hung up.
Daily calles. 1-5 times a day. No response when answered. No message left in voicemail when unanswered. Call the number, option 2 is supposed to take you off the list but now it takes 60 days.
These phuuckkers are starting their crap again. I have received calls in the past 2 days. Of course, no message. God help them if I decide to answer the phone. I am definitely going to get a whistle so I can blow their ear drums out. Screw HSBC and the assholes that call and harass us hard working Americans !!!!!!!!!
This can't be legal, it's just harassment. I get this every day with no one on the other end. I called it back today, message says "this is HSBC and you are probably calling us because you saw our number on your caller id" and then prompts you to ask to be removed from their list. I'm on do-not-call and I don't do business with them. And now, I never will.
I had to pay for caller id to find out that this was the caller harassing me. Now I have to pay the phone company to block these calls? Nuts, I think I'll just turn my phone off.
every single day. nobody ever there.
Calls to me (answer machine) 2-3 times daily leaving no message.
Calls everyday at least twice, sometimes more. I have started filing complaints through the Do Not Call site every time I receive a call from this number.
I returned their call via my caller ID and received a recording about a credit card that I don't even have. I was able to have my number deleted. We will see if that happens as they have been calling three to four times per day and NEVER leave a message. I "hope" my calls are over.
Caller ID says "800 Service"
These are the worst ! They call EVERY 1/2 hour trying to sell something.
We've told them 1000 times to STOP CALLING !
Reported to the phone company and do not call.
Phone company said to contact FCC.
Call at all hours till about 9 pm.
They call 3 or 4 times aday and i've told them we're not interested !!
HouseHold Bank. Those who have credit cards, the calls are marketing calls to use the credit card.
Constant calling, sometimes no one on other end of line, but talked to a person once and told them I wasn't interested, but the calls kept coming. calls are about once an hour fom 8 or 9-ish till late afternoon.
This is HSBC telmarketing. I have received calls from them, as many as 4 an hour, for the past month. They NEVER leave a message and when you answer there is n one there. Today I called to have my number taken off their list and the recording says it can take up to 60 days to have it removed. That is totally rediculous. Maybe they should take a few of their agents off the phones bothering people and have a few process the removal requests. This company is the definition of annoying!!!!!
It is annoying get calls from this number at 4:45 in the morning
Apparently they would like to sell you credit card insurance.
Barely understandable.
Call usually twice a day in the afternoon (the calls I'm aware of)
for almost three weeks now (after I signed up for an Orchard Bank credit card)
Called number back to chose "remove from list" option, can take up to 60 dyas according to recording.
They call a minimum of 10 damn times a day!!! I called the # to take my phone off the list, and it processed the request but said it would take up to 60 days!!!! What happened to the 30 days??? They are disgusting!!1
I called the # back because I get a ton of calls from it a day. It is HSBC offering service on their credit cards. It does offer an option to take your # of the call list.
Calls constantly. Back to back, if I am on other line and dont answer they keep calling until the answering machine picks up and then the calls stop for a little while. Then they come again. Finally called and got a human, told them put me on their internal do not call list. Have their credit card so they are allowed to call me unsolicited even tho I am on the national do not call list. After telling the service rep to add me to the list I can now keep track of their calls and pursue them in court if they do not quit calling now. I federal and state laws make it illegal to call you after you ask them to take you off their call list. Up to $750 per call. Call me now bastards, I am an attorney and can file papers myself.
They call me constantly, back to back to back calls. When they get the answering machine they don't leave a message so I don't take it as them REALLY needing to speak to me.
this ass calls 4-7 times a day(1-800-446-1022) I believe someone of authority could put an end to these harrassing rings thru out the day, Help!!
This is HSBC aka HouseHold Bank trying to sell their program that covers you in case you are unemployed or ill
They have called an avg. of 21 times per day for the last 2 weeks! The number that they're calling is my work number. I'm reporting this to everyone I can, this has to be STOPPED!!!!!
Based on info I found here, I have been picking up the phone and immediately asking to be put on the Do Not Call list. I have one credit card, and it's not with HSBC, and from descriptions of their practices, I don't ever want one of theirs.
I haven't yet heard a response on the other end.
After receiving no messages from too many calls to count, over who knows how long... I called the number back... it is HSBC calling to sell you something. An automated answering device allows you to choose option 2 and have your number removed from their telemarketers list... but states that it could take up to 60 days to process the request. Hopefully these annoying calls end soon, now on to another nuisance caller.
I found out that it is HSBC telemarketers. If you call the number back you get a recording and on option 2 you can have your number removed from there data base.
Called 2 times today. Did not leave message,I wish these people would get A LIFE!
i just wish thay would quit calling me i work nites
They call twice a day. Never leave message.
They call 4-5 times a day, never leave a message
Called twice already today and they have been calling for weeks. Have been on the National Do Not Call List for years.
If you have signed up with your states No-Call list is this considered a violation? I do have a HBC credit card, is that how they can get by the No-Call list?
This is a second # and they call us constantly day and night for last couple of months! Even when we pick it up, nothing is there. I have nothing outstanding and no business with this supposed company. If you have all these complaints for both #'s why isn't something being done??
12 AM calls Saturday
Typically, if no one is on the other end, or it hangs up on you, it's an automated system that records the day and tie you picked up. That way they can "target" times when they think you are home and will answer. I have 3 credit cards with their company (Household credit services), but they have never called like this in the past. It started about a month ago for me and I'm about ready to report them to the BBB myself eventhough I'm happy with my card services.
It is HSBC. Call 800-446-1022 and select option 2 to be removed from call list. It states that it may take up to 60 days to do so though...Give me a break!!
The really weird thing is that if you try to call this number back, you get a "this call can't be completed as dialed" message, so they've obviously got it set as an outgoing number only. I'm getting calls like once every hour from this #. If it's HSBC cards, it's because I'm a card holder but it can't be collections as my payments are current. Go figure
saw number on caller ID, called it back and received a recorded message from HSBC bank card for services and another option #2 to get taken off their call list.
1-800-446-1022 calls every day at least 6 times per day, and does not leave a msg. Today I answered and it was telemarketing from HSBC. I could not understand her well and she was rude when I said I wasn't interested. When I said it for the 3rd time she hung up on me.
I was getting loads of calls from this number a while back. I called to remove my name from their call list. It worked for a while but now "there baaacckkk......"
Did not leave message, ID 800-446-1022, called my number in January of 2007.
Hope the jerks do not start calling again.
Just let it ring intil machine answered it. After 15 se4conds thery hang up. Has called everyday now for almost a week.
800-446-1022 is HSBC, which is a super sized bank dealing in all types of finance.
It is used by General Motors and is where I send my General Motors Credit Card payments to in Carol Stream, IL.
I called that number and was answered by a machine which, when I chose option 2 asked if I wished to be removed from their calling list
I get called daily, it is HSBC so if you have their card the call is OK for do not call list. Removal option is now up to 60 days!
This is a phishing scam They call many times a day and pose as a credit card company asking for you credit information. Report them!!!
Sometimes there is no one at the other end, then sometimes this sounds like a fax !
They call everyday!!! very annoying .
Called my house 2 times in the past 5 minutes
keep getting lots of calls...never leaves a message. Finally called back...it is HSBC...pressed option 2 for removal from there telemarketing list was told it takes up to 60 days now to be competely removed.
Called 18 times in 2 hours. No message left.
mccoywhiting@hotmail.com
chadwhiting156@msn.com
Never leaves a message and every time I anwer there is no one on the other end of the line. I called the number back and it is HSBC and you get a auto response service and can opt out of recieveing calls
These people call EVERY THursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:30 a.m., then about 11:00 a.m., then again about 2:00 p.m, and then again around dinner time 5 or 6 p.m.
Never anyone there. Either silent or leaves a recording to call them back with an urgent business manner
If you wait about 20 seconds someone, with a very heavy "east indian" accent, will eventually come on line....
mccoywhiting@hotmail.com
chadwhiting156@msn.com
Yes it is HSBC! Just call the 1-800-446-1022 # and a recorded messege is there with promts to have your phone # removed from HSBC telemarketing service.
HSBC telemarketing. Does not leave a message but if you call the number back it gives you the option to have your number removed from their telemarketing list.
Calls every day... never a message
800-244-1022 called 2x today; even with a prompt answer, no one responds at other end. It is from HSBC . You can call the number and it will give you an option to be removed from their calling list.
My kid was sick so I was home today. The phone rang at least 8 times with this number and never left a message. I do not answer the phone when the id says unavailable.
800-446-1022 Got a call from this number 6 times a day. When answered, nobody on the other line.. so annoying!!!
Called upwards of 15 times a day, called the number back and selected #2, service said it would be up to 60 days to remove my number.
Wouldnt Leave a message and calls many times a day very anoying
I have several credit cards at HSBC that i am going to cancell if tthat is what it takes to stop the phone calls, they are very annoying and when i did answer them twice there was a foriegner trying to sell me insurance and credit protector that would not take NO for and answer.I ended up getting mad a hanging up the phone at which time they called right back, and naturally wouldnt leave message.XTREMELY AGGRAVATING. Thank You
They have called every 2 hours almost on the dot for the last week or so. They never say who they are just ask for someone and then don't leave a message. I stopped answering and just called to have my name removed and they said 60 DAYS!!! Next time they call I'm telling them we're on the do not call list.
Idiots have called my house 4 times today....I just reported them again.
call constantly, same number. Sometimes the ID says West management debt collector. Sometimes it says "unavailable", sometimes it says "out of area". They leave no real info, or answer if you pick up. This has been going on for months. I don't owe anybody anything, and I would think that if I did, wouldn't I have gotten something in the snail mail by now?
115 calls since 6/4/07 - Unbelievable!
The Option#2 message now claims "...up to 60 days" to remove your number from the list!
I just called the number and pressed #2. It now says it takes up to 60 days for your number to be taken off their list. What a bunch of hooey!! Everyone, make sure your phone numbers (home and cell) are registered on the "do not call" site...donotcall.gov It is so worth the time to have all of your numbers are registered. Beat them at their own game!!
They started calling multiple times a day. It is HSBC's telemarketing division and all you have to do is call the 800 #, push option #2, enter your phone #, and it says it may take up to 60 days to have you removed from the list. In the mean time I just pick up and hang up the phone so I don't have to listen to it ring.
They call everyday, day after day.
warranty on car on longer have the car quit calling
I get calls every day from them, day and night. I don't answer the phone when I see that number.
Call at 9:50 AM but no message or name left. Wh is this? Annoying that they don't identify themselves
Then, he tells me that I should never give out my credit card information over the phone. Anyone with legitimate business will all ready have the information they need.
I hang up the phone and that's when it hits me, I've just been scammed...and I fell for it.
I've placed fraud alerts on both of our credit reports. For the next 90 days, anyone that wants access to our credit or who wants to obtain credit in our name will have to call us.
I also learned that if I call the number back that is listed on my caller ID, I can opt out of further calls. That can take up to 60 days though. HSBC has called 3 times today all ready. 59 more days to go....
I'm going to file reports with the FTC, the BBB, my local police, and the Attorney General.
I don't like not knowing things and so I hang up the phone and dial the number. An automated voice aswers, "Account Secure". It asks me to imput the last four digits of my social. I put my personal digits in. An automated voice tells me those digits are not recognized. I then put in my husband's. BINGO! LIVE PERSON! I explain that my husband is getting multiple calls a day, they won't leave a message and I want the calls to stop. So, this guy offers to check into why we would be getting the calls...All he needs is my credit card number so he can look my account up. I'm very upset and not thinking and so without missing a beat, I give it to him. He responds that he can't see any reason why we would be getting any calls at all because our account is current. This next part really gets me:
The call was actually for my husband...Some woman with an Indian accent. He wasn't home but I identified myself as his wife and an account holder too and asked to know what the calls were about. She told me that she couldn't speak to me because "I wasn't...." and her voice trails off. She then gives me a number for my husband to call when he gets home...1-800-690-1532.
I was tricked by someone in the telemarketing department to give up my and my husband's credit card number. (Before you start thinking I'm totally stupid and gave out the info twice, both cards had the same number) Luckily as soon as I hung up the phone, I had one of those light bulb moments where I went, I'm such an idiot!!!!! So, I immediately had new cards issued. But it seems that since this was an internal thing, getting new cards probably won't solve the problem.
These people have been calling every day for the past week. I called back and selected option 2 to have my number removed, but the recording says that it will take 60 days to remove it. I finally picked up the phone and told the woman that I was going to cancel the card if these phone calls don't stop. I doubt that they will. This is my husband's card, and I'm going to ask him to cancel it.
We get calls about 12 time aday as well. They do not leave a message because they know as a debt collector it is against the law to call this many times. Or a telemarketer what ever they are.
They use about 5 different numbers to call and they call from each about every 1/2 of an hour during business hours up until 8:59 pm. They really push the envelope on the calling. From 8-8 is 12 hours 1 call each 1/2 hour from all 5 different numbers equates to 120 phone calls a day from the same company. It is pure harresment. This should be illegal.
They call repeatedly. I don't have any business dealings with these people. I have no bad debts or anything. They needs to stop. No caller id to this number.
I called the number back and a recording says it is Household Bank telemarketing services, it does give an option (press 2) to remove your phone number (takes up to 60 days)
Constantly calling. Never answer. Caller ID 'UNAVAILABLE'. Called back and automated system now says it may take up to 60 days to have your number removed. Told it to remove me.
This isn't the first time this happened. Its an every day occurance. I say "hello" 8 times and no one says anything. I think if its a creditor they have to prove that they made x number of calls to that number so they can go after them and therefore they can document it in their records that they called on that day at that time and have a paper trail whether they talk to you or not. I think this is their way of putting you into collections with a legitimate trail without having to document a conversation because if you are willing to make a payment or have a legitimate crisis they don't want to hear it. All banks are running scared right now with the state of the economy and the credit card companies are just trying to collect fast. I don't think we even have an HSBC card but if that is who this number belongs to, it sure would be nice if they got up the guts to speak up when they call
Calls almost daily, at least once. Shows up as "unknown name."

Learn your rights and stop them in their tracks, for good: anthonylemons.blogspot.com
It is HSBC
Calling back using option #2 for removal now states removal may take up to 60 days......good luck!
Has been calling every day, and yesterday called five times, with a time span between calls ranging from 2 minutes to 5 minutes. I'd call that a litle excessive.
I was told that the process to be removed from their calling list could take up to 60 days! HSBC, 60 DAYS, that is HARASSMENT! They call and say nothing, when I call the number back it is some company calling in behalf of HSBC. I hate these people!
ITS A CREDIT CARD COMPANY THAT WILL CALL 5 OR 6 TIMES A DAY FOREVER THEY ARE SCUMBAG CRIMINALS THAT DONT CARE IF YOUR ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST I USED THEIR OPTION TO REMOVE MY NAME 3 MONTHS AGO AND THEY STILL CALL DONT BOTHER REMOVING IT THEN THEY KNOW FOR SURE ITS A WORKING NUMBER REPORT THESE FELONS TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION OR EVEN YOUR LOCAL POLICE THEY NEED TO BE FINED JAILED AND PUT OUT OF BUSINESS
I get no less than 4 calls per day from this number on my caller id. This is a telemarketing gimick from Orchard Bank aka HBSC.
You can call the number back and get the automated attendant. Select option 2 to be removed from their list.
They indicate that it will take 60 days to be removed from their list.
If you have any sort of account with Orchard Bank or HBSC, the national do not call registry will not help you.
800 446 1022 funny accent gm flexible credit card hsbc bank telemarketing branch name ict.
removed my number from thier list but it ll take 60 dayssssssss
Several calls a day, difficult to understand WHEN they even talk
10 calls in one day
calls many, many times a day, i just push hang up button and stops ringer from ringing so not really a big deal.
HSBC telemarketer services automated call and then someone came on talking saying "Hello." Usually they call and leave no message.
The caller ID shows the 1800-446-1022 ; but it says "unavailable" for who it is.
This number 800-466-1022 is very annoying. Calls like clockwork every 20 mins between 9am and 7pm daily. Never leaves message. When you answer its almost like your being recorded with no one on other end of line
Stop calling
800-446-1022 TOLL FREE CALL- They keep calling but dont leave a message. I hope its not Publisher Clearinghouse with a Million dollar check for me.
ASKED IF I WAS HOME - TOLD THEM NO - CALLED THE NUMBER BACK & IT GAVE THE OPTION TO HAVE THE NUMBER REMOVED FROM THEIR TELEMARKETING DEPARTMENT LIST - ONCE AREA CODE AND NUMBER WAS INPUT IT'S RESPONSE SAID IT MAY TAKE UP TO 60 DAYS TO HAVE IT REMOVED.
This number called and asked if I was there, I said not available and hung up. It was not a human on the other line, probably computer.
I got a couple calls from the number and called it back and received an option to take my number off HSBC's phone solicitation list. I keyed in my phone number to have my number removed. It takes 60 days to do so. We will see.
if you call the number back you get a recording for hsbc and you can select #2 and put your phone number in to be removed from their call list.
Calling my house at 8:30 at night is not OK. I have children in bed trying to go to sleep and my phone starts ringing for this crap?
i'm not kidding, it's about 3:30 and i've been home for 3 hours. they called between 15 and 20 times.
This number calls at least 8 times a day...all throughout the day. If I don't pick up the phone rings 4 times then stops. If I do pick up you can tell there is someone on the other end but they don't say anything they just hang up after about 40 seconds.
Everybody, we have to take action ourselves to stop it. How? First, get your number listed on the National Do Not Call Registry and report them calling you everytime it happens. Also keep a log of the calls on paper or as a PC document. I've already spoken with the FTC on this matter and if enough complaints form a pattern, then it's up to an $11,000.00 fine per incident slapped on the offending caller. Those telemarketers are going home without a pay check and the person that owns the 800 number will be a fugitive on the run. You just have to do it, it's the only way...
If you answer this call (There are several numbers including 616-597-4101) and if they respond, Ask them if they have Smelly armpits. Or ask them if they like anal sex. You get the idea. If that don't shut 'em up, nothing will.
They've called about 4 times today and have been calling for over a month. When I answer no one is there and 75% of the time they wake up my sleeping 7 month old!!!!!!
Multiple calls every day. HSBC trying to sell additional crap with their credit card. I asked to be removed, they said would be 30 days blah blah
If this number is indeed HSBC, THEN WHY DON'T THEY ANSWER,when I pick up the phone, or better yet, if you hear the answering machine LEAVE A MESSAGE!! Otherwise LEAVE ME ALONE, even better, DON'T EVER CALL ME AGAIN! I'm tired of getting these calls on a daily basis.
They have called my home for weeks now. When I answer no one is there. Today they called my home 14 times. They have called as late as 9:30 on a Sunday night.
Receive a call from this 800 446 1022 atleast 3 to 4 times a day, and no one responds when u answer...its very annoying....pls help. when u call back its says "ICT on behalf of HSBC, pls call HSBC"
I too have been harassed by these annoying phone calls more than once a day for over a week. I tell them I am not intertested in what ever they are selling, but obviously they don't understand english. Maybe they would understand a law suit.
I finnaly answered this call and it was someone who claimed to represent Direct Merchants Bank for Credit Card Insurance. Even after a told them I was not interested they continued to call. After I screamed at the woman on the phone she then said I would be removed from the calling list. I did infact confirm with Direct Merchant Bank and it is a legitimate call but it is annoying.
Get 8-12 calls from this number every single day on my cell phone. I'm listed on every no call list there is, and they still call. I have called there number and requested to be removed but still the calls continue. When I pick up, there is never anyone there. I have stayed on the line waiting and eventually it just disconnects. I am reporting them to the FTC for this outrageous abuse.
HUH? this is coming in on my UNLISTED cell phone. wth? Lately, i have been some crazy calls on my cell number...ever since I had my cell worked on, I get these telemarketing calls and stuff. Someone must have given my number out somewhere in the wireless industry.
They probably got paid for a list or something...this sucks.
They always want to speak to my boyfriend and they'll never leave a message except that it is a courtesy call from Bank of America. He banks with them, so I'm assuming it's a telemarketer trying to cross-sell services. But they are annoying as hell! They call every day!!!
Learn your rights. Stop being harassed by creditors and collectors: anthonylemons.blogspot.com Be empowered.
Very rude.....doesn't identify themselves....ask if I can take a msg for my husband...hangs up on me.....getting tired of it!
tHIS IS HSBC telemarking crap all i do is let my answering device do the talking for me.
I WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE IF THE CALLER IS NOT INDENTIFIED BY NAME. I AM A 71 YEAR OLD LADY AND I REFUSE TO ANSWER THE PHONE IF CALLER IS UNKNOWN, PRIVATE, UNAVAILABLE ETC. ETC. I AM NOW PICKING UP THE RECEIVER AND JUST LETTING IT SIT THERE UNTIL THEY HANG UP. SOME PEOPLE WASTE SO MUCH TIME.
ID unavailable, No Message, No Idea... If they can't leave a message then I'm pretty sure I don't care too much about whatever they would have had to say.
Just when I think I am in the clear with all these telemarketer calls, another one shows up to interrupt my time. I have no relationship with HSBC, I am on the Do Not Call List, so how can they call??? I'm reporting them on the DNC site, just as I have with all the other jokers that call. I found my new full time job!!! Next line that one of these callers gets will be: "I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too" :)
calls 3 to 4 times a day, EVERYDAY! Ringing quits just before answering machine picks up.
Household Credit Card Company trying to sell Fraud Coverage
After months of getting 2 to 5 calls a day from this number with no message left (I never picked up to answer) I tried the trick of answering and then repeatedly pressed the # key to simulate the number disconnect tone. Guess what? NO CALLS from this number since!
Frequent caller all times of the day some time three times.
Recording asked for me by name but I could tell it was a recording and when I didn't respond after it asked for my name it hung up.
I don't answer but I pretty sure its a bill collector
freaking annoying............i wanted to break the phone today! cant relax on my saturday because the phone rings all day long from this number.
Receive an avg. of 5 calls a day from this number. Since the number is unavailable on caller ID, I refuse to answer it. The calls are quite annoying and have been on going for over two weeks.
Learn your rights. Stop being harassed by creditors and collectors: anthonylemons.blogspot.com
they call about 10 times a day, and when i tell them the person they are looking for is busy, they just tell me they will call back later. when they do its a different person.
it has been going on for about a week now, i tried to tell them not to call back but they just hung up.
im pissed.
If the phone call starts out as "Is ---- there?" and then jumps into a recorded speech, this is most likely not ICT. If you continue to ask who is calling you, the computer system was actually nicely designed, a live person will come on the line. After repeatedly the company first reported themselves as ICT, but since speaking with ICT I knew it was not. The lady passed me to a manager who identified the company as caller systems. ICT handles the phone numbers for HSBC. HSBC happens to use other companies as well to dial people. A little research showed me this company has relatively high numbers for success. As a developer, I am impressed with their system. I sort of want to write my own to call them.
They called me yet again (still in the 30 day BS window of taking my name off the list). So I answered it on speakerphone and let the guy listen to this podcast I was listening to. I never said a word. They guy said "Hello?" about 3 times in the first 10 seconds of the call and then he stayed on a good 5-6 mins listening to the podcast. Then he hung up. I will continue to goof with these idiots as long as they call. I suggest you all do the same!
They just won't quit, have been call at least 3 times a day for the past week or 2, If I answer it just isn't going to be pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It sounded like a lion roaring over and over again.
This may be a duplicate, but have called the number after the fifth call by two in the afternoon. Requested that my number be removed from thier listing. Recording now states that it may take up to sixty (60) days for the number to be removed. I have marked the date on my calendar. If they continue to call after that date, I will contact HSBC to cancel my credit card unless they can STOP these harassing calls for merchandize I do not want, services I did not request and other information that I do not wish to hear. If I cannot get resolution from that ,I will then send the CEASE and DESIST letter, along with my credit card in multiple pieces!!!
receive calls from this number numerous times everyday. No one on the line when answered, no message left when not answered.
I noticed it on my caller ID for the first time (don't know if they've called before), came here and called them back to be removed from their list. I don't have a single account with HSBC!
These dame people are super annoying... It's unbelievable. Breakfast, noon, afternoon, dinner, bla bla bla. Don't ANSWER. Block them out. Or simply ignore them. Hopefully, they will leave you alone. If not, register at donotcall.gov. This is the national Do Not Call Registry. After 30 days, if this number continues to call, you can report it to this web site.
This company is not smart enough to take a hint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
been getting the calls from 800-446-1022 and i just called the number and pressed option 2 to have my number removed and they said my number was noted to be removed but it could take up to 60 days... what a joke they should get the hint when no one answers the phone repeatedly..
Same here, twice a day, no one answers. A real PIA. I am going to send this to the "Do Not Call" I am including this web site.
i am at 34205, i called back and opted to be removed from their list, shouldnt the no call list take care of this?? anyhow, the recording told me it takes up to 60 days to get taken off the list. i use no credit cards though recently filled out an app at a ball game for a free gift...lol....they have been calling a half dozen times a day everyday starting 8 am, latest tonight 8.41pm, hello, i have kids people....
Calls at least daily and more, never leaves msg. No ID on number. Ought to be made to stop by FCC!!
keeps calling and only asking for my husband. When I ask if they want to leave a message the voice changes to some guy that sounds like I am the big winner on a game show saying "no message!" I called back and did removal option and it said 60 days. I can't even figure out what company I am related too that would be doing this. grrr
This is definitely HSBC's outbound telemarketing folks. They've called about 30 times in the 2 weeks since I got a new credit card from them. I called the number, and by pressing option 2, I could opt to remove my name from their telemarketing list, but the recording indicated that it could take up to SIXTY (60) days before I was actually removed. UGH!!!
Called agin twice, when asked what the company was, recieved no response and was hung up on. Call number back and remove your name from call list by pressing 2
got the panther message, too - this is just about the worst form of marketing I could imagine... I mean, if they want to sell something, it's kinda hard if I can't speak to someone.
Rowr!
I have been receiving these calls too. I called the number and selected 2 to remove my number. The message said it could take up to 60 days.
This number called us today and left the same message as someone above--it sounded like a big snarling cat. Very creepy! WTH is a credit card company doing calling and leaving messages like that???
I have received one call from them today, and one call yesterday, both times, I picked up the phone and at first heard nothing, then after a few seconds what sounded like a very large, very angry panther/mountain lion/other large cat started in, this went on for about a minute before the call was disconnected from the other end, I thought it was a bit creepy when it happened yesterday 10/18/07, but it happened again today. Everyone in my house now thinks that I've gone insane, and I'm hoping the "Big Angry Cat" calls back tomorrow when my brother is here so I can prove to him that I'm not making this crap up.
I get calls from these idiots at least 6 times a day, I have 2 seperate accounts with Household bank (aka HSBC) and this SUCKS!! I called them this evening and blew a gasket, I think they got the hint and took me off their "opt in"list I'll report back. Good luck to everyone!
Another HSBC marketing number, I think. They have been calling for about a month now, asking for my husband by his first name. He has an Orchard Bank card, perhaps that is why? When I ask if I can take a message, the guy just says it is not important and he will call back. Which he does.
Calls 12-15 times a day,does not leave a message.
Yes ,Im chuckling just thinking about Mr Foreigners phones ringing off the hook. All of us continually harrassing them ,insisting that they remove our numbers , demanding that they stop calling ,hanging up on them, tying up their 1800 lines ,and their customer service people, let them waist time and energy calling the FCC on all of us,calling the No call list Etc... what goes around ,you know the rest Sandi 89103,maybe it wouldnt take 60 days to remove this menace if all of us turn the table and begin harassing them instead .We need to demand our rights
Maybe if everyone on this very cool website would continually call their 1800 number and hang up on their telemarketers and continually push #2 and other numbers they would be charged for all those return calls or the 1800 provider would dump them for over use ,at least if nothing else we would all give them a taste of their own medicne, harrasement, most americans cringe when people like that call because most of us think its another bill collector.why not all of us do the same to them, their machine said it will take 60 days to rid me of their menace.I think we all need to keep calling them over & over again tying up their telemarketers and their phone lines so they ae being paid just to answer our return calls ,and not having time to call out.Maybe we should all plan a specific day to call as a proverbial telephone "sit in" protest ,Anybody in ,have any suggestions?89103
1800-446-1022 claims I them money but will not tell me fr what just that i owe $1700 and must pay or i go to jail! ?????
1-800-446-1022 called when answered no one is on the other end. Happened the past 3 days.
Only the ph. no. shows - either "unknown name' or other identifying info. shows
The thing is I already have an account with HSBC - paid up to date, etc.
I just called to have my number taken off and now it states, it could take 60 days to take my number off!!
800-446-1022 - called late at night and initially no one picked up. After a few moments a recorded voice picked up and asked "Is this ?". I responded "Yes, and who is this". The recorded voice said "Ok, thank you" and hung up. WTF? My number is on the national donotcall.gov registry.
will not leave message and calls several times a day.
have 12 calls on caller ID before noon today - 9 of them from this number. Never leave a message, and as I don't recognize it, I don't answer if I am at home. Thanks for the info on who this MIGHT be and they will be reported!
Caller claimed to be Orchard Bank w special offer. I called Orchard back and they say it wasn't them. Phishing?
Called twice today. First time they have called. Let it go to voicemail but left no message.
Called twice, let it go to voice mail but they left no message
Call but leaves no message
have been called on daily bases...phone will ring 2 or 3 times then nothing....no voice mail....Call ID states TOLL FREE CALL.
Have been calling me daily for a month. When answering machine answers they just hang up. Shows on Call ID as Unavailable. I am on every do not call list out there.
Call and no one there
Call it back and press option 2 to remove your number from their list
These people are RUDE and they call alllll the time.
calling up to 7-8 times a day. No response on other end
Driving hubby nuts with #of CID entries but no msg. Thank you webpage, I found out it was HSBC (Credit Card) and to call # back to be placed on their "DO NOT CALL LIST". # did verify my request and I didn't get: "It takes 30 days to remove" msg. Will see if calls stop. **REMINDER: If you have even remotely had business with this company within the last 18? months, the Federal DO NOT CALL List DOES NOT APPLY.**
Today alone I have received 8 calls from this number. On average, I have been called 5 times a day for the past week or so.
Same as everyone else. It rings and there is no one on the other end.VERY ANNOYING. Something needs to be done.
The reason no one is there is that it's a computer calling, looking for voice mail to leave a message.

Numerous calls today. Does not leave message on answering machine, so obviously they only want to solicit.
Have had this number call me for about two weeks now. I just looked it up because they leave no number or message. I am a HSBC card holder but I didn't sign up for this. I just removed my number like everyone else here we will see if it works.
OMG!! I opened up an HBSC credit card 2 weeks ago and this number has been calling me at least 5 times a day for the past 14 days - early mornings, Sundays - what a bunch of crap. I no longer want this card. This is total harrassment!
I have denied their service and asked to be taken of their call list. I am on the DO NOT CALL list but because I had a credit card with HSBC they said they can call me. I have called twice to remove my number. I am STILL being harassed. I have cancelled my HSBC account to hopefully stop this harassment.
HSBC Card Services. Call the number on your caller ID and an auto-attendant will offer you 1) to access your HSBC card info or 2) to remove your phone number from their list. You'll need to enter your phone number after pressing 2. They claim it may take up to 30 days to remove you from their calling list.
This is "ICT" on behalf of "HSBC" they were trying to sell some kind of service
Oh, no one wants to talk to me, don't you people read = ((((
Still its weird, there are more HSBC selling departments than I thought. Never heard of GM cards or calls on refinancing. They must be located somewhere else. Hey, now here's some personal piece of advice. Simply answer it. Adress the caller by his/her name, which by the way isnt his real name, and tell him "Please, Robert, do me a favor and take me of your calling list, I'd really appreciate it" Wait until they are done reading. And DONE. There's no one who won't put you in the DNC that way. I always do so when asked, even when the guy is yelling like a moron. I mean, it's not my fault, but poor guy. I just mute him, read the DNC close and then classify the call as a REFUSAL-DNC. Done, but its just that if you aren't nice to everyone, some agents won't put you in the DNC.
Rec'd several calls over the past few days. Followed the advice given and deleted my number from their telemarketing list by calling back the number and selecting option 2
Sorry if this is a double post. I had to share this story. These folks just keep calling. So, I had a plan for the next call. Guy - I would come on to him ..Female I would be a biotch. So, phone rings, Its them for like the 4th time today. Its a chick and she is silent at first when I answer until I say Hello Hateful the second time. She ask for my husband and my reply is " Are you the woman he has been messing around with??" She just didnt know how to reply. Stammered all over her "lines. She apologized and stated she was with GM credit cards, trying to sell an optional coverage and apologized again. TOld her to NEVER, EVER call my home again! These people need to be shutdown.
This is showing up as HSBC
P.S. What drives me crazy is that they initially sound so matter-of-fact about it. Yes, sir, we'll remove you from the calling list but you'll want to know that you'll no longer be receiving special offers, potential rate cuts.... GRRRRRRRR!!! They just don't get how evil they are.
Calls from this number kept hanging up on my wife and kids, daily. It is HSBC, which for me is a GM credit card that I've had for 15 years. I called up, talked to three different people, saying I want to cancel the credit card. Once I did that they apologized and basically wouldn't let me cancel the damn thing. In the end I didn't. The first two calls were obviously to India, the third not. I hate companies like this - and I told them so, saying they were completely evil. I'll stop using the card now even though I chickened out of cancelling. Evil I say!
It's a joke. I called HSBC twice and both reps I got said they have never heard of them. They have called a dozen times this past week.
HSBC account phone number. just call it back and press 2 when the operator talks. then dial your number. it will remove you from the calling list.
I get regular calls from this number. It shows as 616-597-4101. When called back you get the message that the 616 area code has been changed to 269. You call back the number with the new area code and it is constantly busy. I told this guy not to call and we got into a fight because he was telling me he was going to keep calling. After I hung up, I got a call every half hour all day long.
I got seventeen calls from this number today and noone is on the other end
ICG for HSBC Credit Card marketing.
Have a credit card with them ,owe a lot ,not much I can do?call 3, 4 times a day ,never answered never will ....justice is coming
800-446-1022 is HSBC solicitation. I answered the call the person went on and on.
800 Service-no human on other end.
800-446-1022 - This number is HSBC credit card company. If you apply, they call constantly. However, if you call the number and follow the prompts, they will take you off their list. It has worked for me twice.
Calls just keep continuing. Someone called the other day and for fun, I decided to answer it. Got some Haji Dot Head on the phone and as soon as he said hello, I stuck the phone in my toilet, flushed it, and then hung up. FUCK THEM !!!!!!!!
Calls multiple times daily from early morning & on weekends. Sometimes leaves msg. saying it's HSBC, but nothing else. Return number once left--but it doesn't work.
persistent solictor!!
The calls just keep coming and it has been over a week now. Extremely annoying. Today's date is 8/30/07
They Call Daily 1 to 5 times a day. Some how they make my phone ring with a normal ring then they call right back and it rings with 2 rings. I reported them and I told them to not call me and nothing has changed in over 6 months!
many T/C's per day...when answered no one is there...another pain in the butt T/C !
Oh and we're not allowed to leave any messages under ANY circumstance, or to speak about the offer with some one who is not the customer on screen.
Accidental "hello hello" messages may happen since sometimes the second we hear the BEEP, the recording starts, so that can happen every once in a while.
Oh and by the way, we don't have your information, credit information or whatever, we just see it onscreen while we are calling you, and then it's gone, we don't even have that on our system, its transmited, besides, trust me, we don't care about it and there's nothing a 20 year old who lives 12000 km away could do with it, even if he wanted to.
If you want to know more or talk with a real telemarketer, just leave a message.
Good day all.
We just try to sell in the best possible way, explaining everything and leaving NO room for doubts or concerns. Since, besides, we get commissions out of our sales, and if we mess up and state something which is false (or if we read an APR percentage the wrong way) that sale doesn't count. Also, at least at my company, once someone refuses once, they won't be called again for that offer. (they change every month or so) and we don't call people more than five times, no matter what. It really sucks that you had gotten idiotic telemarketers calling you, since that means less trust from you guys and less sales and money for us.
Most of us are 18-25 year old middle and upper middle class teenagers with high english skills, working there as a part time job while we finish our college studies.
But well, to round things up, we always give calls with 100% legitimate (and you can get a personal code to check that) offers, suited for the customer. Some people don't even want them which is compltely understandable if they don't NEED credit, and others could be really beneffiting from the HSBC features and benefits concerning credit scores and interest rates, and so on, but oh well, its your call. (pun ntended).
Most of them are suited for the customer. Now, I only read about ITC here, and I don't work for them, so I don't know how they operate. But anyways, where I work at, we are demanded very high quality and courtesy standards, always greeting everyone and thanking for their time, etc. There are agents who might hang up right away if the "customer" isn't available, so as to be able to take the maximum ammount of calls in the shortest period of time, but that's UTTERLY discouraged.
Mostly we take inbound calls for customer care, and also for tech support. But a small fraction of us does outbound calls. Actually when you call customer care, you might be calling the SAME company that calls you to offer you credit card offers. Funny.
Anyways, I sell cards for HSBC/Household/Orchard. We just hear a BEEP sound when the phone is picked up or when an answering machine starts playing. That's why you might hear "HELLO HELLO HELLO" messages on your answering machine. We just "take" the calls, theres a whole dialing system that does the rest for us, and we get some basic customer information on screen and the nature of the offer.
Well, maybe you guys wanted to hear the other end of the story.
I can't give you my name for employment reasons, but I'm an HSBC telemarketer. =).
Like many large US companies, HSBC/Household/Orchard has outsourced their telemarketing. There are many companies that do that, mostly from europe and the states, with branches mostly in the Middle East, India, and South America. The most known companies that do this are Teleperformance, Cube Corp, Teletech, ITC, and Influent.
getting sick of it!!!
dont pick it up, it is a government test of ulf, and elf radio waves. U.L.F= ultra low frequency
too low to be heard by the human ear, possibly used for subliminal mind control!!
This is Orchard Bank credit card co. Usually they try to sell something to add to your credit card. Usually they dont speak English.....So while you are saying NONNOOOOOOO
they are going on and on. You have to hang up anyway. So I dont answer it anymore.
Yes, call them back, you won't get a live person. Press 2 to remove yourself. It asks you to put in your phone number, they record it and state it takes up to 30 days to remove. I did this after receiving about 10 calls a day for the last two weeks. Enough's enough.
These jerks keep calling me and I'm sick and tired of it. Luckily I have caller id and never pick-up the phone when I see it's their number calling.
WHO ARE THESE BOTHERSOME JERKS?????
in our local phone book, there's a - block 'em - option that we're trying out.
after the number has just called your phone, you dial *60 and wait to hear the recording. it allows you to block up to ten numbers at a time. you follow the instructions by the automated system. this is through yellow book-- so i don't know if it will work for everyone.
hopefully the goobers stop calling us.
they just cald for like the 5 time today you have to keep on saying hello they soon spoke i got so pissed i just yelled suck my balls
Anyone receiving annoying phone calls need to file an online report with your state's Attorney General's Office. An investigation will be implemented to cease all calls.
Twice today so far. Call the number back and pick option #2. It is a marketing firm from HSBC credit cards. Been getting calls for days.
they called like 4 times in 2 hours, but they actually asked for my husband. when I said he wasnt available, and asked if I could take a message, they hang up!
they call a few times a week...never leave a message, never anyone there when you answer...
I have been recving calls from this nomber everyday for a week and am getting sick off it.Can i stop it Ray
Calls all day until you take call. Has never left a message or stated a reason for calling

HSBC Bank USA, N.A.

or call
1-800-975-4722 -you will need to follow the prompt for a credit card, then listen to the entire option menu then hit "0" then follow the prompts for "credit" and then "report your card lost or stolen." Listen to the stupid blurb about reporting lost or stolen cards and then hit "1" for yes I would like to report it. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET TO SPEAK TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE REP.
Give him or her a piece of your mind. Idle threats will not make companies like these take you seriously. Tell them how dissatisfied you are and that you will not ever use anything they are affiliated with and will pass negative feedback along to your friends. Tell them about the whocalled.us website and how many other people you've noticed on there who will never be their customers as well. Customers=Money, NO customers=NO money.
Getting about 4-6 calls per day from HSBC telemarketing thanks to this site I decided to call them and press #2 option to have my # removed from their list. Downside is the 30 day wait-it's so annoying and frustrating.
Aparently HSBC has enlisted another company to do their telemarketing from what I can gather. This number calls you to give you the number, and then if you call back you can order HSBC special packages or whatever. Option #2 removes a number from their list, you have to actually input the number you want removed, and they claim it can take up to 30 days.
Damn ass people have been paid and records via telephone messages indicate, but they still keep calling every day. The card has been cancelled for over a month.
800-446-1022 SPAMS MY CALLER ID. I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST.
My bank is HSBC so I suppose this is how I got on their list (since DNC doesn't apply to a company if you have a relationship with them).
They called today. No one answered on their end.
My husband actually spoke with a human on Saturday, when this number called for about the umpteenth time this week! Person on the other end identified himself as being from Orchard Bank, spoke with a heavy accent, and was extremely pushy and rude. My husband finally became frustrated and hung up! As of today (Monday), no one has called yet - knock on wood! :)
Calls have started again even after filing a complaint. HSBC can kiss my ass !!!!!! F*** THEM !!!
They called again, and my son said they had also called his grandpas and he could understand what the guy was saying on the onther end. Very Annoying..
And I am on the National Do Not Call List..
# called & wanted to know about GM credit acct. When I stated I did not have GM card - they eanted to know what credit card I had.
calls every day; when answered, no one is on other end
Calls 4-5 times daily gets machine does not leave message. If picked up no one answers.Very annoying
Just called it back and hit option 2 to have my number removed. It is from HSBC says calling about an option on credit card, most likely trying to sell credit secure or credit life/disability . Lets see if I get 10 calls on my caller ID from them I already have 9.
Unknown name Unknown number...Never leave a message. I do have an HSBC card. If it is then why not identify themselves. I DO NOT answer these Unknown calls.
This number has called me 6 times so far in the last 3 hours. I have no idea who it is and I don't pick up for 800 numbers. Is there any way to block this or report them? They've called every day for the last month now and sometimes call up to 20 times / day.
I kid you not. It's annoying
Yesterday, this number called me 11 times in less than 20 minutes.
get this call every day several times a day
This number shows up on our caller ID, but the identity says simply, "unavailable." Upon answering, there is either a series of clicks or a disconnect! We receive two to three calls per day, as early as 8 a.m. and as late as 9 p.m.
They called here for said they were from ameriquest wanting to "assighn" a credit specialist to my account. I said no she wouldn't take no for an answer, "But why would you not want to?"
I SAID NO!!!
A real person calls asking for me by my 1st name. As soon as I say yes (or even when I ask who's calling), I suddenly get switched to a computer that uses voice recognition. Beyond irritating!! I've tried calling Orchard Bank/HSBC to stop the calls - even canceled my card, but no luck. I found the number of a real person who deals with "privacy issues" & left a seething message. We'll see how that works....
This is 'ICT' calling on behalf of HSBC (credit card) trying to sell other services. They probably make calls for other companies as well (that is what they are in the business of- telemarketing for others.) Yeah, you can take option '2' when you call the number back, but they WILL call several times a day for the next (at least) 30 days. Answer the phone & tell them to remove you number NOW, if they say it takes 30 days- tell them NO, remove it NOW.
Even if you do have business with a company they DO NOT have the rights to call & try to sell you more services.
By the way- those of you that believe the FTC Do Not Call is the 'be all, end all'..GROW UP!!! FTC only looks at the numbers of complaints they don't care about your issue.
People: Grow a pair and take up for yourselves!!! Don't let bill collectors, credit card companies & the like suck the life out of you!!
I've noticed many calls from them on my caller ID while I'm away (they NEVER leave messages), then I finally pick up their call... Saturday 9AM... With a hangover and only 5 hours of sleep LOL.
Then this Filipino lady (thick accent) borderline forces me to sign up for ID theft protection... Took about 5 tries to finally get through to her that I'm not interested!
800-446-1022
Get ATT'S CallVantage, cable phone. They have a great system called Call Filtering that can send callers to VM or a block list, your phone will not ring.
How do I get rid of ythis?
Called me 10 times in 3 hours & drove me nuts.
Called 5 times today - the last time I picked up - the woman on the phone said that she was calling from Direct Merchants Bank and if I had questions I could call 800-379-7999 for information.
This number 1-800-446-1022 comes up caller Unknown on the caller Id. They never leave a message.
Called at 9:22pm will not leave a message.
Oddly enough, the calls I got from this number started last Friday and then today I got a letter from Certegy saying one of their employees had stolen the names of people who had written checks at a number of stores in Vermont and that those names (mine on the list) had been sold to many different marketing lists. I have a feeling the two coincide and I am so not happy. I plan to find out if I can join their lawsuit against that employee for harrassment and theft.
800-446-1022 calls various times of the day even when I'm in bed for the night. I say hello, if I hear nothing I quick hang up....but they'll call again and again and again.
HSBC - they're calling to sell one of their "products." THe process of removing your number from their database can take 30 days.
Called every day several times a day forever........................................
Call 800-446-1022

Enter your 10-digit phone #-- this will remove it from their call list. This "may take up to 30 days".

I understand your aggravation, but no one (that I can tell) has stated if after 30 days the annoying has have ended. Please advise.
I get calls from this number every day. No message, just listing on caller id. They almost always call about 6pm CNT
This is HSBC selling credit protection. Asked them to remove me from their calling list, they said they would, but it would take 30 days. Call several times a week.
very annoying - no msgs
THIS COMPANY HAS CALLED ME ALSO A NUMBER OF TIMES HOW DO YOU STOP THEM FROM CALLING AGAIN AND I THOUGHT WHEN YOU SINGED UP FOR THE NO CALL LIST THIS IS SOPOSE TO STOP I GUESS NOT
It is HSBC Telemarketing stuff. If you call back the number and listen through the message, there is an option to have your phone number taken off their list.
They call everyday and never leave a message, sometimes they hang up before the answer manchine picks up.
This number called twice today and same story no one on the other end, I hung up and they called right back, still no one.
I left them a message saying that I took a contract out on all their staff, but if they want me to cancel the contract it might take up to 30 days.
this number keeps calling my home phone 1-800-446-1022 and there is no name and I am on the do not call list also.
They have been calling NON-STOP but I called back this time and this is what it is.....it's the nhe number for HSBC's telemarketing division. I called back and press the option for our number to be removed. The recording says that the removal may take up to 30 days.
i do not want any more credit cards,,,,. please
Called trying to sell me some sort of card insurance policy had to tell the woman (who could hardly speak English) FOUR time "No" before she finally gave up the sales pitch.

800-446-1022 called, and I didn't get to pick it up because I was outside, but I recognize the number, and it's the number that calls occasionally and nobody is there.
I'm getting 4-5 calls a day. I called the number and chose option #2 - remove my phone number from their call list. Message said it will take up to 30 days.
Several times a day we get this call from 800-446-1022. We don't answer because it states Unknown Name and they leave no message.
When I called the number on the caller ID, I got a recording claiming they are a company called "ICT" representing HSBC Bank. I selected option '2', as others on this site have suggested, to remove me from their call list. They said the process of removing me could take up to 30 days! WHY so long?! Not more than an hour after this they called again with no response from their end. I am seriously considering closing my HSBC account because of this. They've called at least 4 times today.
Called at least three times already and it's not even 3:00 pm. At one point they called 7 times a day for days on end.
called 3 times in last 2 hours today not counting all other calls before
They have called at least 5 times today. No message on the answering machine. So sorry that I ever got their credit card! I will try the pound key trick the next time that they call.
I received 5 calls from this number, then found this site.
Got the ITC recorded greeting and then called HSBC to get it fixed. Hopefully Habib got the point and took me off their garbage promo list. I remember the good ol' days when English speakers used to work in Telecommunications.
We keep getting this number calling us to also at least 5 times a day. I believe its Household bank trying to get you to purchase there protection plans
When this happens just push the Pound # key ON YOUR PHONE a half dozen times or more AND IT REMOVES YOUR NUMBER FROM THERE DATA BANKS
I'm being harrassed by this number, also. I'm getting 5-7 calls a day. I tracked it down via an online 800 directory, which said that the number belonged to HSBC Customer Annoyance Dept. Isn't there something that can be done to stop them?

I have received calls from this number for the last month at least 5 times a day. No message is left,no one on the line when you pickup. How do I get it to stop?
well as you see this is your banks main credit hub for your card. what is more intresting is the fact that they are closly tied to the world bank. they have fingers in Indian corporations and much more. all affiliates are less than kind to the people they earn their money from. just google: itc hsbc and read all you could ever wish you did not know. THESE PEOPLE HURT THE POOR.
Calls multiple times daily! I am already registered on the national do not call list but I guess that doesn't work..hmmm
HSBC Card services, selling Account Secure Plus disability and life insurance for credit cards
The GM rewards card is the same card that I have. If the calls don't stop, I'm tempted to cancel the card since I have not used it since I opened the account a few months ago.
Ever since I got my GM Rewards card, I have been getting dozens of calls per DAY and sometimes 4 - 5 per HOUR. . I filed a complaint. .they don't leave messages. . .they don't answer. . they just keep calling back over and over again.
I received a second call only two hours after the first one woke me after THREE hours of sleep! This time someone was actually on the line. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor advised me that they have removed my number from their system but it will take up to 30 days to remove it from ALL Household databases! That is unacceptable! Guess I will just have to wait to find out!
I have been receiving calls from this number for two months. They were 3 to 4 times a day until I finally started answering them and telling them to quit calling me. I went through their system to remove my number and even called HSBC because I am STILL receiving 1 to 3 calls a day from them. Now, they call and hang up as soon as I answer so I can't even demand to talk to a supervisor!
I've been plagued by this phone number over the past 8 months at the rate of as much as 6-9 calls per day. I'm on the donotcall registry but I guess that gas no affect. HELP!!!
It is HSBC,I have an account with them(CURRENT).And yet they call 3-5 times a day trying to sell me other crap. They will not take "NO" for an answer.Asked to be put on DO NOT CALL list, was told that it will take 60 days to be put on it.
800-446-1022 calls at least three times a day. No one there when answered.
dead end number.called hsbc numerouse times. they disputed any affiliation with itc. ther seems no way to get to itc. they call 2 to 8! times a day. seems fishy.
It seems to have worked! They didn't call yesterday and even today it's been 6 hours of pristine silence. I am thankful that civility has actually paid of this time around. Yay!
I am happy to know that this is a documented problem. I have done the call back > Option 2 > op-out request. But guess what? Got a call again in less than five minutes. Picked it up and a Spanish-accented lady answered. I was like "Maam please remove me from your list". She said that she has noted my account to be removed from the telemarketing list. It's been 15 minutes of silence since then. What all the previous posts have failed to mention is..."Whether they ACTUALLY remove you after 30 days or not"? Today is 05/22/07. Let's wait for a month and I'll try to keep you folks updated in regards to whether it really works or not.
I'll also be sending in my opt-out request form that came from HSBC with my credit-card. Hopefully, all these measures will end this once and for all. Good luck to everybody else!
they even call at 7 in the morning
This number has called me 4 times already today. It's only 1:56 p.m.
STOP CALLING ME!
they call freakin 8-10 times a day. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
calls multi-times daily for months now
I got 7 calls from them today. Not sure who it is, they call while I'm at work and never leave a message.
800-446-1022 is the phone # that I receive often, but do not answer, because it is a person in jail in cottonwood kansas, He liked to use dope, so now it showes he is a dope, he can write a letter, I work hard for my money and will not take his collect calls the jail is a good place for him :)
They don't leave messages and they call constantly. Its annoying. I have a credit card with this company but its not late or over credit so I don't know why they keep calling. UGH
Sporatic calls received from this number sometimes several per day. They have the name of the last person who had my phone number but refuse to take me off their list. This has been going on for 8 months! Filed a complaint with the donotcall registry.
they call everyday. Today they seem to keep calling about every 30 minutes. No one is ever on the other end...
They've called 2 times in an hour. The first time was an 800 number and they refused to give a name, then they immediately called back as unavaliable, and again refused to give a name or reason for their call.
It's HSBC trying to sell something. They call several times a day despite the fact that I canceled their stupid card.
I recieved a phone call from this number a week ago. It was the typical guy talking about credit cards but this guy kept insisting that I had a HouseHold Bank card from HSBC which I don't nor would I ever want. I yelled at him to give me proof I had a card with them with a spending record and he tried to get my personal information from me which I refused to give. I told him that I didn't need to if I had one of their cards because my information would be registered in their computers. He got aggitated by this so I told him if this was something legit then send me the information in the mail becuase I planned on reporting them. I haven't recieved a call since.
It's a telemarketer for HSBC credit cards. Wants to sell you a protection plan for your card that would cover fraud, theft, disability, etc. Can call same number, choose option 2 and have number removed from calling list, but takes up to 30 days to take effect...But they will keep calling daily until they speak with you. This happens EVERY MONTH!
I just received a call from this number. I never answer calls that have the name and/or telephone number blocked. I typed this number in my browser and found this web site.
I'm not sure it would do any good to call the number and use option #2 as my husband has a credit card with HSBC. I wish we had the money to pay it off because I'd tell these people to stop calling in short order. But since we have business with them, I think they're allowed to call. But now that I know it's just these fools trying to cram more overpriced services down our throats, I'll happily ignore their calls. So far, we've received only one call. But after reading the other comments/complaints, I think we're probably in for more calls.
How sad is it that one particular number is so relentless in calling that there's a website set up for complaints?!
Calls many times per day.Never leaves a message. This is getting very annoying!!!!
like Lisa before me...#2 to be removed from their list.
JUST CALL THE NUMBER AND PRESS OPTION 2 AND YER NUMBER.. THEN IT WILL BE REMOVED.. HOW FREAKING ANNOYING!
this number has called 5 times in last 2 days.. no one will answer.. WTF!!
Have called in the past, but called 6 TIMES today. Never leave a message. I called back and followed the instructions to have my number removed from their (HSBC) telemarketer call list. Let's see if that works ("May take 30 days to be taken off.")
I got a good idea. Sign up for your own 900#. Then make sure these fools get your new 900# and when they call 10x a day it'll be great cuz you'll be gettin PAID!!!
Called again twice today. I do not answer unidentified or toll free numbers unless they speak into answering machine. The one time I did pick up there was no sound and no dial tone. The times I let the machine answer there is no message left. I do NOT have a credit card with HSBC so see no reason for them to be calling me. I recently got a copy of my credit report and there is nothing on there that shouldn't be so at this point I do not think I have to worry about someone opening an account in my name. Puzzling and is now bordering on harassment it seems.
Call the number back, press 2, opt out by entering your telephone number. Only takes a minute and is completely automated.
I got a call . called them back , option #2 is to be taken off their telemarketing program. May take up to 30 days. Fingers crossed !
Get this call twice a day 800-446-1022 and when i finally picked up no one there only what sounded like a background noise then hung up.
Everyone, call the number 1-800-446-1022, listen to the recording then hit "2" to remove your number. THEN, to teach them a lesson, go to donotcall.gov
and file a complaint once you are registered for 31 days. LETS SHOW THEM WE ARE FED UP! Then get another credit card and close your HSBC card.
After all that we should sue them for our collective hourly rate of time to do all this crap!!!
They call 4-5 X a day, and NEVER leave a message. I do have an hsbc card, but apparently they dont have anything of importance to say.....
They called at 1:30pm today (Saturday) and left a recording on the answering machine (saying they were calling from HSBC and to call them back with any questions). They then called every 30-35 minutes until 7:45pm (over 10 times), often leaving 'hangups' on the machine- sometimes with voices or conversations in the background.
I'M SO SICK OF THIS CALLER!!! tHEY CALL SEVERAL TIMES A DAY! When answered no one is on the other end of line. I've called back got a message about 'If you'd like to feel good, please call...' some other number I didn't write down...
Calling 6-10 times a day, no one is on the phone when answered.
this number has called 8 times today not leaving a message and when we have answered 3 differant times tonight there was nobody on the other end. In addition when you dial the number back it states that you could contact them by dailing the number on the back of your credit card but we do not have this credit card.
I set my phone during the day when i'm home that after the 3rd ring, and i don't answer, my call fwd kicks in and i have it set to go to the city morgue, i screen out all the morons and useless callers.
i have received approx 1.5 calls an hour from this number. i havent answered yet as i almost never answer phone numbers from 1-800 numbers that dont have a Caller ID name other than 800 service. Very Annoying!
Called eight times in one day!!!
This number, 800-466-1022 calls every single day. And has been calling for about two weeks.
From Itt a company for HSBC tele marketing
800-446-1022 Who are you and why do you keep calling? No message left but at least 4-5 calls per day!
call several times a day never leave message
Returned call and was given option to remove number from HSBC Telemarket list. Said it could take 30 days. I can only hope they will take me off.
claims that they are HSBC and ask for my wife by name but I won't let them talk to her and they hang up and say they will call back, which they almost always do daily.
Hey when u get this call just call it back and u will get a message and it will ask if u want to be taken off there telemarket list. So select that and the calls should stop if not u could probably sue them for calling again after being placed on thier DO Not Call List.
I called this number back and it is Telemarketting for HSBC....you can call it back and remove your number but it may take up to 30 days!!! I get at least 4 calls a day from this number...
Toll Free Number
800-446-1022 started calling once a day, and now it's up to at least six times a day. They don't leave a message.
6 times a day. Stop enough already!!!!!!!
800-466-1022 has started calling at least 3-4 times a day for the past two weeks. Now they are calling at early hours and late hours
Toll Free Call with number was all the caller ID showed. They call several times a day.
Returned call to 800# indicates a request from the HSBC soliciting a product or service for card holders of an HSBC Visa/MC.
HSBC - they take a little while to come on the line. They call several times a day, but once you say you aren't interested they stop calling.
They call at least 2 times a day and never leave a message. They are calling my work number.
Keep calling at various times of day and night... Tennessee
Had two calls from this number on caller ID today. May be the caller yesterday that connected me to a person saying they were from "card services" asking if I wanted to lower my credit card interest rates, I asked if I had an account with them. They said no. I hung up.
Was HSBC. They never left a message, just dead air.
This is BS! I report these people 5x daily to donotcall.gov and registered with offending company to be removed from their list. Their recording states it will take up to 30 days to remove me. I hit redial 31 times and registered to be removed from their list. I have spoken with foreign persons who call, they know my full name and are RUDE , I have asked them not to call. They continue to call. Next time they call, I will use my AIR HORN to persuade them to stop. Nothing else has worked. I'm normally a very nice person but these people are BEYOND ANNOYING!
These people call me 3 and 4 times DAILY. I am on "Do Not Call List" and told them not to continue calling but they do anyway! I have reported them many times to "Do Not Call Registry" and nothing is stopping them. They are HSBC.
so finally one day afer the 10th call, i pick up the phone and yell "STOP IT!!!" at the top of my lungs. havent heard from them since.
then i signed up for the dnc list. but yesterday i started getting calls from 000-000-0000.
Here we go again!
10 calls within 90 minutes and no message left.
800-446-1022 with no caller name ID. Called the number back, finally got a recording saying that you are probably calling because you got this number from your caller ID. This is ICT calling on behalf of HSBC to offer you a service related to your bank or credit card account. Press 1 to speak to someone about your account, press 2 to have your telephone number removed from our telemarketing list. Didn't get past 2 - keyed in my telephone number into their (alleged) do not call list. We'll see....
Received call from this number and looked them up here. Then called back the phone number. It identifies them as the ICG unit of HSBC. Seems like it is a main number for HSBC for credit card account information (which I do not have). Option #2 on the menu allows you to punch in your phone number to be removed from their telemarketing list (which I did). Hope this is the end of them calling me.
Report this company to FTC ftc.gov and to BBB.
NOTE: 5438 complaints regarding this number with BBB in past 36 months.
The company calling is "ICT on behalf of HSBC." HSBC is aware of the marketing tactics. Unethical, unprofessional, dishonest, scum.
We were approved for an HSBC credit card. We applied to HSBC. They apparently issued us a card from ORCHARD BANK, an HSBC affiliate. We never even received the credit card yet, but ... we are receiving numerous calls from (800) 446-1022.
Please report any unprofessional or unethical conduct to BBB and FTC and your State Attorney General. Complaint forms are online.
Called 6 times today. At dinner, i just got up, picked up the reciever and yelled "STOP IT" on the phone. no calls after that, but I'm sure it didn't stop them. They are driving me INSANE. I even signed up for the do not call list a week ago.
3-4 calls a day, no one on line but they are on long enough to show up as a message on the answering machine and no one is there.
Very annoying.
I have emailed the FTC, Fair trade commission, ftc.gov and complained about HSBC.
Good luck
There is never an identified caller or a message left.
Called x5 in da last 3hrs. If it's HSBC Card Services dat would make sense, since I recently got der crdt crd.
800-446-1022 call every day
If no one answer, they back
again within 2-3 min
they continue to call and it's sooo annoying, they've been calling since earlier yesterday and haven't stopped..it's getting sickening. If i call it back will they take the number off the list?
Yep, they call like 10+ times a day. I finally called it back and had them remove my numbr from their list. We'll see how long it actually takes to do this.
2 time a day
called 8 times today!
Getting ticked off!
Call the number back then there is an option to get taken off their calling list, I did it last night and only 1 call today from them, they say it may take up to 30 days.
They are trying to sell some insurance on HSBC credit cards
I work from home, and this has been a constant, nagging interruption in my day. Sometimes I'll get as many as 8 calls by mid-afternoon. I'm already registered with the Do Not Call List. This is harassment. I've had enough--SHUT THESE PEOPLE DOWN!
3 times in a half hour today!
call every day, no response on the other end!!!!!
More than 100 calls in a month, they even call after 9pm, Gee,..
They called 12 times in one
day and there is no one at the other end of the phone line.
800-446-1022 calls approximately once a day.
If you call the number back, it IS a telemarketer for HSBC to offer you one of their "credit card" account offers. It also says you can press "2" to remove your phone number from their telemarketer lists.
This is getting old
These yogurt sucking maggots called me today 3/16. I told them not to call me ever again. We will see what happens. If they continue I have a attorney friend who loves to go after scum like this.
18004461022 calls incessantly. No messages no coversation? Total pain in the neck.
The caller is Orchard Bank part of HSBC. Trying to sell extra stuff if you have an account with them.
These people are calling numerous times a day, with noone on the other end. Can not seem to block them.It is very annoying to say the least
called today. just once so far.
I get numerous calls from this number. All these calls are a service that my credit card companies have hired to call me and try to get me to purchase something so I'll add it to my cards.
HSBC (credit card) telemarketing dept. selling one of their products. If you call the number back, an automated system answers and you can choose the option to have your number removed.
I did call the number back to be removed - I feel like calling back 10 times a day like they called me!! Arghhhh!!!
800-446-1022 calls 4 times a day. same thing. no one on other end
called 10 times today and left no message
These dolts called for several days from this number, then switched to the Francesco Pedul ID number. Hope someone socks them with a stink bomb!
I am at my wits end with these assholes! I've ask them nicely to remove me from their list and that didn't work. I've called and spoke to a customer service rep. (verbally abused him to the max) and he assured me that my number would be removed. I've called and threatened to cancell my card and that does not work and still, I'v been called several times this morning! I've complained by way of the DO NOT CALL gove website and still these assholes persist! They are like turds that will not flush!!!!!!!
I've received this call several times a day for the last two weeks! I found out that it is HSBC! If you look at their website you can see if one of your cards is on their list. One of my charge cards is owned by them. I called the number on the back of my charge card and asked for a customer rep. I told them in no uncertain words where they can stick their card! I hate telemarketers! What assholes to harrass me with their BS! I urge everyone to call them and complain about their marketing tactics!
They called every two hours for over 2 weeks...they are still calling.
this number calls 4 times a day and has for 3 weeks straight.
Get called by this number every weekend, I finally answered and some Mexican was on the other end. I told the person I was on the do not call list and do not call again.
We get several calls a day from this #. I just called it back and the recording said it was for HSBC Telemarketing. It gives a option to have your number removed.
I get calls all day to but from now on I am going to mess with them instead. My advice lighten up and drive them crazy.
800-446-1022 is Direct Merchants Bank (or a telemarketing firm for them) trying to sell a protection plan for a credit card.
they call at least 3 times per day. There is no human on the other end. when i answer the line goes dead.
First timie I've been "hit" by these people--3 times in the past hour. I was on the internet & my CallWave took one message--no message for the other two.
I get 1 to 3 calls aday from this number. ID say Toll Free Number. I have never called it back..Never will.
800-446-1022 calls at least twice a day and answered no one ever picks up
I get calls from this # everyday and when I answer they hang up
Just like all the other reports...they call constantly, no-one is on the other end if you pick up, and no message if you let it go to voice mail.
This number is calling me repeatedly, sometimes 5 times a day and I am tired of it! I am reporting these A-holes! They'd better stop harrassing me!
This number is from HSBC and they call me about 10 a day as early as 8 am and when you answer no one is there half of the time all they want is to sell you credit card protection.
How can I stop them from calling 4-5 times a day?????
says ""toll free call"" and they leave no message
Keep getting calls from this number. sometimes it says FREE TOLL or 800 SERVICE.
How the heck do you get rid of the B&*%$#d's
Daily morning and afternoon calls. When answered theres no response. Just dead air.
They call about 4 times a day at all hours..
Called 4 times since 9:30 AM
This is HBSC, I just cancelled my card with them as they have charged my card for credit protection on 3 different times. They keep telling me I ok'ed it, I didn't. Get rid of any cards with these people as you will be sorry in the end. They are nothing short of thieves.
Ken
I started getting repeated calls from this number today, 02/06/2007. Started at 8 am this morning. It shows on caller id as Unknown name. They have called about every 30 minutes. But don't leave a message. Reported them on the donotcall.gov Tired of all these bull crap telemarketing companies. Zip code is 29341
We have been getting calls from (800) 446-1022, about 8 calls daily! We have asked these people to STOP calling our home and they IGNORE our requests. We would hope that you can help us put a stop to the harassment! Thank you
about twice a day..no answer
I keep getting about 20 calls a day even on sunday. No on answers and when someone does they ask for some girl that has never lived here.
They call about many different things like credit cards or loans!!!!
They called many times and I accidently picked up the phone once. They claimed to be calling on behalf of the GM Credit Card. The voice sounded like it was through one of those voice changing synthesizers. Creepy and suspect.
They call about every other day on my home phone which forwards to my cell. I just don't answer "unknowns". If they want to leave a message, then I'll listen.
This number has called at least 9 times today. And does it about everyday.
800-446-1022 is annoying,at least 15 times a day. I used the website dontcall.gov to file a complaint and to stop this harrassment. It takes 30 days to take effect.
They call all the time 6 days a week from 9 am till 9pm. Its nuts. Next time they call I will see remove me from this list and if you don't I am reporting you. I am already on the do not call list. I will tell them they are breaking the law.
Get mean and they will stop calling.
Never ending calls where nobody is there. This has been boing on for two months.
Look at ALL these reports from other people ! When are they going to stop harrassing all of us? Its about time that they are stopped.
Hi i have been harrast from this # for almost a year.they don't take no for an answer.Leave me nasty messages and treathning me on the phone. Please take care of this matter.
Thank you,
Michaela Doble
Got a call from this number, on the caller ID it said "Free Toll 800-446-1022." Of course, I ignored it b/c it's probably a soliciting call.
This number calls all the time! Never leaves a message. Drives me nuts! For 2 months now. I need a call block option. Ughhh!!!!
Have called twice today but left no message. Thanks for the info - I will report them, too, if this continues!
get 3 to 6 calls per day from this number. Aways hang up. They are calling a business line and seem scared I'll report them, which I will. Caller ID keeps listing the numer. Comes up as toll Free Zip code in 59711
There was no info other then the phone number on the caller ID. When I called it the message said that its "ICT on Behalf of HSBC". Too remove your number press #2 and enter the number to be removed. It also tells you that it may take up to 30 days to remove your number. Well, I did that today, so will see.
Gosh, they've called four times today - & it's a Saturday. I asked them not to call back when I actually spoke to a human last week, but they still are calling. I'll be added to the do-not-call-list in early February. Can't wait.
Call several times a day, never leave meaaage. I don't answer the phone.
800-446-1022 calls 3 or 4 times a day for the past week ending 1/12/07.
When I return call the number, I get "all ciruits are busy".
I am on the do not call list - so I am going to report them.
Oh my goodness. This number calls several times a day and NEVER leave a message! Who the heck are these people?
It is HSBC credit card division. If you have an account they are trying to sell you additional services like payment protection, etc. I am on dnc list but I am a customer too so it is a legit call. There is now a message that states who they are and why they (they figured out how many people are calling because of caller ID) might have called and gives you options to press buttons etc.
I couldn't figure out how HSCB got my phone number. Aparently they are the ones that issued my Best Buy credit card so I guess I can't report them to the Do not call list. They just keep filling up my caller ID.
1-800-446-1022 has called for a week 2-5 times a day and our caller id shows the phone # above and unknown caller. very irritating and will initiate call blocking tomorrow.
This number has called my house for the last two weeks 5 times a day. Today, it rings once then hangs up multiple times in a row. Someone needs to put a stop to this!
I've gotten at at least 4 calls a day from these assholes over the past couple of months. Seems like the only day they don't call is on a Sunday. No one answers when I pick up the phone. It is nothing more than harassment and I have filed a complaint with donotcall.gov.
My caller ID shows "Unknown Name" and then the phone number. Sometimes I have to go to bed early during the work week and there is nothing worse than getting awakened by a call from assholes like this at 9pm in the evening.
Calls on 01-03-07
Voicemail answered/no message
10:56 AM
5:57 PM
Unknown on Caller ID
I too am having this number called to my home several times a day. fist time I did a search on it though, and this was the page I got. I must get on the "do not call list". This is all too weird!
Has called numerous times and does not leave messaga
household credit card,
call # back and press 2 to remove your number from their list
I called the number and pressed 2. But, I believe this is actual harassment. Like illegal. If one of us gets 10 calls a day from hsbc and it goes on for 30 days, thats 300 calls. 300 calls in one month seems like harassment.
Caller ID showed Unavailable.
i keep getting this number on my caller id they call all hours of the day and never leave a message you would think after not answering for a week that they would get the hint
have been calling for over a year yes it is hsbc trying to sell you stuff you do not need call back and use opt. #2 or block number thru your phone company.
They have called often in the last year and I never answered until today. When I did they asked if I wanted credit card protection on one of my cards.
I asked the person who answered the phone why they kept calling for a year and the person said they had no clue. I guess they are just doing a job and the person in charge above them are making the decisions to be so annoyingly persistent. My zip code is 48066
This is one of many "Toll Free Calls" that come into my line. I'm SICK of it! So much for the Do Not Call law.
I'm also on the "do not call list" but still keep getting calls from this number and other "unavailable" and "out of area" Calls. To get peace, I had to spend a one time fee of $100.00 and purchase a "caller ID manager" off of the internet. It blocks All on wanted calls, 800#s, out of area, unavailable, or any number you want to program. BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT!!. They call, the phone never rings! just keeps a record of the calls.
They have called multiple times each day for the past week. Last night I answered the phone & immediately hung up w/o saying anything and the calls stopped. Today is a new day & no calls so far from this caller.
To remove your number from the list with option #2 it states it can take up to 30days.
answering service says HCSB press one if your calling about your order press 2 if you want to delete your phone number it will take up to 30 days. This is harrasment.
I've been receiving calls from this 1-800-446-1022 about 3-4 times a day for about a week (starting 11-28-06 up to today, 12-06-06). All my caller ID shows is the number and the words "Toll Free" as the caller. This is my work phone. My zip code is 84606 (Utah). I've read some of the comments; some say it's HSBC telemarketing division. I did sign up for a card from them, but I didn't know it meant all this calling with no one answering the phone when I pick up. Not cool.
unkonwn name
They are really pissing me off.
The caller started around 10:00am and calls end about 6:00. After 3 calls i got his game and answered in a different maner every time. The secound day her keept calling for a "Victoria Smith", lets see what happens in day two...
Just walked in the door. This # was on the machine twice and called again right after I deleted the # from the memory.
there was no message and nobody answered
unknown name
I have been getting calls from this number all day. I have been home because of snow. I called and used option 2 to remove myself from the list
This number calls at least 3-4 times a day. I do not have nor have I ever had an HSBC account.
My nightmare began when I received a UNION PLUS mastercard. It's issued by HSB,(800-446-1022) They are the fucking jerks who are calling.
I just got off the phone with them. Their real no is 1-800-771-7339.
I just got off the phone with them & vented all of the built-up frustrations.
They removed me from their marketing list ( I ask them woh the hell put me on it in the first place. Grrrrrr)
If you call them tell them russ sent you.
Has been calling me for months. I am on the do not call list, but it doen't seem to stop the calls.
calls and leaves no message
no message.
800-446-1022 has called me several times a day for weeks
leaving no message on my answering machine. the caller id is unknown caller from 800-446-1022.
They call again and again. Never leave a message.
Nine times in one day.
Found that prior owner of phone owed some money, but had paid it off 6 months ago. Calls were still coming. Calls were coming 5+ times per day.
I was getting up to 8 calls an hour from HSBC starting at 7:30am up to 9:00pm everyday including Thanksgiving Day. Finally I programed my phone to automatically forward all calls from this number. My phone never rings when getting calls from 800-446-1022 now. Guess what number I forwarded them to?
This number calls several times a day. Caller ID says Unknown name with the number 800-446-1022.
I called to have my # removed (option 2 when you call back as mentioned before).
"It may take up to 30 days for your number to be removed from our list"
What a crock.
The caller has called multiple times a day and never leave a message. If we answer, we cannot understand their broken English.
My wife answered the phone and the caller asked for me. When I got the phone I said "Hello" several times and all I heard was breathing and a click. Very Odd.
The company is HSBC. They own many credit cards offered by many banks. Also GM and Union cards. If you have had a mortgage or credit card with any of those included you auth them to call you by agreeing to their terms. the only way out is to call them back and do the option 2 to opt out. These calls wont be stopped by being on the no call list if you are a member with any of their numerous services.
They call me continously. I don't answer, instead I let MY FAX machine ring in their ear.
We've had this number on our caller ID 10 times a day for the last week. Zip code 98682
The name is my Daughter's. That is who they called for. They asked if she was here. When I asked why they were callingthey said they wanted to know if she received the Welcome mail they had sent. Whne I asked if this was a marketing call they read from a script and did not answer the question. I told them to take us off their list. When I saked if my Daughter had contacted them first, again I got a double talk answer.
I work night shift... they keep on calling during the day... I WANT TO KILL THE SOB'S DOING THIS
They never stop calling... I reported them. Give me a short piece of rope nad their neck... I will take care of it.
They keep on calling, but leaving no message. I told them to QUIT CALLING unless they are going to leave a message. Anyone got a short piece of rope and a tall tree!!!
I've been getting calls from this number a minimum of 10 per day for months. They start at 7:30 AM and go until 10:00 PM. I finally started answering to yell at the morons, but there's never anyone there. Once I started answering the calls got more frequent, up to 30 per day. Thanks to this site I tried calling it back and opting out, but I doubt this will help. If you do business with HSBC the Do-Not-Call Registry can't help as anyone you do business with is allowed to harass you as much as they please.
Caller indicated that they are an affiliate of GMAC Mortgage, offering supplemental life insurance.

I have received 20-30 phone calls per day. We answered and request them to stop they continue. I have contacted the US Attorney General's office for the state, the BBB and the Federat Trade Commission. They will not get away with this harrassment.

I received probably about 7-8 calls from this company within a 2-day period. (The number had been calling me prior to this, as well, but I never picked up.) So I picked up on Nov. 2 and was told the usual speech you get from credit companies "Thank you for being a customer in good standing with us...blah blah blah" and they wanted me to join their credit protection program. I declined. So, the next day, they called me again...3x for the same thing! ANNOYING!
I received probably about 7-8 calls from this company within
I get this call 3 and 4 times a day.
If this is, in fact HSBC....they have got to be the most annoying phone calls I have ever not answered. Those bastards call at least 5 times a day from 3 different numbers. Good Lord!
They want to speak with my husband who wasn't at home
Thanks Becca. Call HSBC customer service at 1-800-771-7339, press 3 for reporting lost or stolen card, then ream out service rep. This appears to work, have not received any calls since.

They called. I googled the number and found this, so let it ring out. I called it back and selected option 2 to delete my number from their lists.
After googleing this number and finding the comments from everyone it helped me find out who was calling and how to remove my number from the call list. I thank everyone for that. I really needed a good laugh, when I saw the George Bush, Bill Clinton comment, it made my day. I am glad to find some humor in the midst of all of this BS.
This number has called me every day for about a week... I got a message this last time and it was a giggly girl asking for me by name, then laughing, then someone else listening in said "way to freeze up!" then more laughing, then the phone hung up. Very annoying.
They call every day about three times a day for the past month, asking for my brother, they never leave a message and keep calling. Have been on do not call list for two months and they still keep calling even though I told them to leave message or STOP CALLING. They have not stopped. Can't we do something about it?
get at least 10 calls a day. The name comes up as "FREE TOLL."
I feel this harrassment. Can't something be done? I have written the FCC, and submitted the number to the DO NOT CALL site...hundreds of timesm but nothing is ever done about it!
It's Bill Clinton calling from a payphone in Manhattan. He keeps calling me up and asking for the Giant of Justice or sometimes Janet Reno.
Keep getting these calls sometime 9 times a day for may son who does live here anymore and have informed these people of this. They just keep calling
This number has called once every 15 minutes from 8 pm to 10 pm. No message is left, however when I called the number a recording informed me it was an "upsell" sevice employed by HSBC.
They call every day...very annoying. Don't leave messages.
caller id = toll free call. i used to use this home number as my sole internet line, so ai never answered. i moved a few weeks ago and now use this line as my normal work/home line. i have even registered on the don not call list and am still receiving plenty of solicitations.
This comes up as a TOLL FREE CALL and they call multiple times each day.
Finally, I decided to call them back, and I got a recording which explains that they are ICT, a marketing division of HSBC.
You have the option to then enter your phone number to have it removed from their calling list!! It states that it will take up to 30 days, however.
Fingers crossed!

Calls several times a day, no message
calls about 6-8 times a day, my husband answered once said we're not interested yet they keep calling.
After getting paged from these hangup calls 4-6 times a day for a week, I finallyg got this person and told them to stop calling me. They told me they were Household Bank. I told them if they don't know enough about why they are calling to leave a message they should never call this number. They told me that they put me on the list. I think I have been added to the list before. It seems to last about 3 months.
It is indeed for HSBC. Call and hit #2 and key in your phone number to be removed from your list. Thanks to Whocalled.us I will no longer have to deal with a number I refused to answer.
These People are calling me and my Mother just passed away so I take it off the hook then on my computer it picks it up on Callwave then sends it to the email. I would like it stopped! We just got this phone#.
My Caller ID says this number is from "HSBC" whomever they are.
They call about 3 times a day. HSBC says to remove your self from there calling list press #2 then enter your phone number. Oh the recording says it may take up to 30 DAYS to remove your number. Well I'll see what happens.
This is what Patrick says - I finally filed a complaint online at FCC. The next time they called, I let them start their spiel, then informed them they're welcome to call me all they like (4 to 5 times DAILY) because I was going to continue to file complaints with the government. The people are in India, since HSBC has outsourced their telemarketing. I guess they're afraid of the government, because they haven't called back.
I get these calls a lot less now that I sent all of the numbers to the FCC. I believe the audacity of these callers, reflects the adds in the newspaper for "Telemarketer's" and the College/High School students needing work for summer. They have reduced since school started... so that is an interesting take on this subject! Also, each time they call, I immediately put their number on the "do not call list" - 800 SERVICE is the message that shows on my caller ID.
This number started calling recently and no one is ever on the other end when I answer it.
This number is constantly on my caller ID. When I called it back today, it said "Thank you for calling ICT on behalf of HBSC..." I had an optioon to push if I was calling about my account or if I wished to be removed from their calling list. I removed myself from the calling list, and they have called twice since then. They also say it can take up to 60 days to completely be removed. I finally decided to google the number and came across this.
They have called 5 times today and never leave a message. Calling since 11, about once an hour.
They've been calling about 5-8 times per day for two weeks now. Never leave a message
its really annoying.... I google this number right away thats when I found out I am not the only one who'se having problem
I received 3 calls from this company today, I answered the 3rd call. They have called before and asked for my husband. I told them he is a day sleeper and could not be reached during the days, they leave no message. Again today I advised the same asking again that they stop calling.
Receive numerous calls per day from this number. I've answered twice, a lady asks for my husband I told her he is a day sleeper and they'd take note to that. They keep calling anyway. I have now forward the home phone to my mobile so they will not disturb my husband. They leave no message when I don't answer and disregard my request to stop calling.
They have been calling my house often. Today (9/25/06), they called at:
10:08 a.m.
11:06 a.m.
11:19 a.m.
11:30 a.m.
11:44 a.m.
12:15 p.m.
12:34 p.m.
12:48 p.m.
12:57 p.m.
I answered the last call and, after a moment of silence, heard some foreign voice ask for someone. They refused to leave a message (4 blank messages on my machine this morning in the 2 hours I was out) but said they'd call back. As we are on the Do Not Call Registry, I just filed a complaint against the number.
The last 50 calls on my caller ID.. 38 of them were from this number. This is pathetic. I reported it to the do not call people as a violation.
4 calls a day is WAY too often
This number calls me every half hour. It's making me crazy. Some times, I pick up the phone and just hang it up.
We've been getting calls from this company almost every day for the last week. They call at least 11 times a day. Mostly twice an hour. WTF? And they are so rude if you pick up.
They hangup everytime I answer. I called them back and got HSBC (recording). Option 2 removes you after you enter your phone number...let's see.
Has been calling for over a week at least 10 times
I called their auto attendant and it does give option to remove your number from telemarketing list, but NOW states takes up to 60 days to take effect.
This number has been calling 5 times per day for several days now. It woke me up today on my day off. There was a pause and a woman asked for me. I said that I was still sleeping and she refused to leave a message.
These people have called 15 times in one day refusing to leave a message. It is HSBC trying to sell you something. Very annoying. They did this twice one for each household member.
3 times before noon. I typed in the number & got this site. How can I block them, without the 30-day waiting period. It sounds like the 30-day period doesn't work, from what I see in these threads. I am also on the "Do Not Call" list.
They just called on a Sunday morning.
8004461022 has called me 2 to 3 times a day for 2 weeks despite the fact that I am on the "do not call" list. I cannot find out who it belongs to.
This caller calls every day three or four times a day.
"Strange thing is, they seem to know my mortgage balance and ask if it's correct! I just hang up on them, then report them."
I think mortgages are public record, aren't they?
I suspect it may be a 'trap' number and by calling it you are verifying their information is good (much like email phishing). Any time you call an 800 number your phone number shows up for them even if your number is blocked. The phone companies figure whoever is paying for the 800 service should be able to see who is using it. If you are calling them, but want to remain anonymous, you'd be better off to use a pay phone.
I get calls from this number almost every day between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. No message is ever left and if the call is answered, no one is on the other end.

These people call at all hours of the day and night for the past several days.
I will answer the phone and it's dead silent. After repeating 'Hello?' 3 or 4 times, I just give up and hang up the phone.
They keep calling back and I let it go to voicemail since they were silent the last few times that they called and no messages left on the voicemail.
Finally, someone actualy said something today and asked for my husband by name. When I asked if they wanted to leave a message, they said they would call back.
And I am thinking to myself, 'like hell you are..." No identification or anything.
these calls come daily at a rate of 5 or more a day. Yesterday, they were spaced 2 minutes apart.
It is more than annoying. I work nights and do not need these fools calling all day to awaken me.

Just started receiving calls beginning 9/11,so far twice a day.they leave no message.I'm on the do not call list.
I've been called repeatedly by this number and when I answer it's a hang-up call. Finally, last night there was a man with a heavy Indian/Middle Eastern accent on the line. Said he was from GM Cardholder services and asked for my husband. Hubby was unable to understand most of what this guy said. And in any event, we told GM to remove us from their telemarketing list a couple years back. We intend to file a complaint with GM and with the Do Not CAll Registry. I do not believe this call was actually from GM, tho, unless they've hired telemarketers in India who also telemarket for Nationwide Mortgage, State Farm Mortgage and Citibank Mortgage because calls from these places have also originated with this 800 number. Strange thing is, they seem to know my mortgage balance and ask if it's correct! I just hang up on them, then report them.
Several times per day; never a recording or person; always a hang-up.

They call me numerous times a day. I finally answered and yes, got the very "broken English" speaking person. They asked for my husband and it was HSBC wanting to add an updgrade to my CC. My husband gave them permission to talk to me and I YELLED AT THEM. I told them they call 5-10 times a day and to stop calling and take us off their list. Haven't heard from them for 2 weeks. Now, today, I see them on my Caller ID AGAIN!!!

I told these clowns yesterday to stop calling..and sure enough, they called again today. Can't understand them either, they don't speak English and don't even know the correct pronounciation of my name. I reported them to donotcall.gov. Somebody make them stop!!
I have received 2 calls in the last 30 mins from this number and they did it several times yesterday also. I finally picked it up last night and no one answered me on the other end.
Ouch! It now says it takes up to 60 days tyo remove my number from teh telemarketing call list!
Next time they call, I will answer it and ask them to quit calling me!
they've been calling 8 or more times a day the last few days. Up until today HSBC was in the caller ID. Today only the phone number showed up. I called it and did option 2 to get my number removed. The recording said it would take up to 60 days.
Called three times on 9/5/06 @ 11:31a, 3:10p, 5:59p; and then called once on 9/6 @ 10:22a. I have also been getting calls from 702-835-0175 in between the calls from this 800 number. I have received about 7 calls from them on 9/5/06. This is crapt!
They are now saying it takes 60 days to have your number removed.
Received 10 calls from 800-446-1022 today, they did not leave any messages. I put the number in Google and found this site. Called the number and took option #2 to have my phone number removed. Message said it will take up to 60 days. My number is on a do not call list, but have done business with this company.
If a consumer asks a company not to call, the company may not call, even if there is an established business relationship. Indeed, a company may not call a consumer - regardless of whether the consumer's number is on the registry - if the consumer has asked to be put on the company's own do not call list.
This caller has called me several times a day for weeks! When I answered one of the calls (in order to stop them!) there was noone there!!!
ignoring these people wont do any good, they will continue to call throughout the days, weeks, and months, theyre like government taxation that never ends!
By answering this call I recieved a very rude response when they were told the party wasn't in, constantly call sometimes one time right after the other and refuse to leave a message on the answering machine. Needless to say it's disgruntling to someone who is most of the time a very nice person. My patience has worn thin.
Note that if you have (or ever had) an HSBC-issued card, being on the do-not-call list will not stop them from calling you (the DNC list allows companies with whom you have had business to continue calling). Hopefully the honor the remove request.
I called the number back. It's HSBC, just like has been noted on this forum. I pressed option 2 to have my number removed.
Over the past few days I received a call from 'Unknown Caller' after 1 or two rings I pink up and get dialtone. I dialled *69 to find out the last incoming call and get 800-446-1022. Found out it was HSBC, whom I then reported to the National Do Not Call Regestry. donotcall.gov
I just filed a complaint on the national do not call website... donotcall.gov
I've been getting calls from this number for well over a month now... on average, 5 times a day maybe? caller id reads, "800 Service". I'm in zip 06377
This is HSBC Bank of Nevada- looking for new "Card Holders". Here is their customer service number: 1-800-771-7339. Or- Perhaps- we should all write to them and offer our opinion of their telemarketing style:
HSBC Card Services
PO Box 60173

They call several times during the day. I have turned off my phone's ringer. GAWD!!!
This caller has called several times in the last few days. Today, August 29, they have called twelve times, starting at 8am. Always says caller ID unavailable.
This is HSBC calling. Its for offering more on your crdit card or to sign up for other offers via their card.
Calls several times a day, caller ID displays "800 service" as the caller.
I've waited until a voice comes on the answering machine and have now told them 3 times that I'm not interested in their service and to please stop calling. The response has been exactly the same "Well, you know it takes 30 days to be removed from our list"...
Isn't this what the "Do Not Call" list is supposed to avoid?
Household Bank uses this number to basically harrass you into purchasing items on your credit card.
This gawd dang # calls me at least 10 times a week. Never leaving a message so I can only assume its a call center. Total BS and soooo annoying. How did they get my work #? I think it might be HSBC. I also had and Ohio area code call about 15 times a week. Finaly answered and some lady gave me a picth. She is going to send me free things in the mail. I said NO she kept pitching. I said no at least 5 times then threatened to speak to a manager to explain to her what the word NO means.
I have this number blocked on my system, but they called 4 times already today. 4 times Saturday.
HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES A DAY FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS. WHEN ANSWERED, NO ONE THERE. NEVER LEAVE MESSAGE IN VOICE MAIL. WE TRY NOT TO ANSWER "UNKNOWN CALLER" BUT SOMETIMES DON'T TAKE THE TIME TO LOOK AT ID. IT'S VERY ANNOYING!
Me too. Several calls a few times a day. Very very annoying
They just started calling me this morning. ID says Unknown number. Date 8/25/06
I've received many calls from them over the past 3+ weeks starting at 7 a.m waking up my daughter. So I decided to research the number and I found this site. It has been of great help. I called the number and they ask if you are calling because their number showed up on caller ID. Im not quite sure why they are calling. They dont even talk when you answer the phone. This is some sort of scam and I plan on figureing out what the point is.
HSBC has called 6 times today - same comments as before me. I also called number back and pressed 2 to have them remove my number. We'll see... Then I also placed a complaint on Do Not Call Registry and re-registered
Area code 701/zip is 58103...multiple calls daily for weeks now.
Dialing 1-800-46-1022 is to HSBC with whom you may have a credit card issued through them or an affiliate of theirs. They are offering other services but you can call the number back (must dial 1) and they give you the option to remover your number from their telemarketing list. This is an update as of 08/23/06 - It works because I just did mine.
This number has called my house consistantly everyday about 6 times a day for 2 months straight (including Sundays). They never leave a message.
It is a telemarketing group for your HSBC Credit Card. To get removed, call the number, choose option #2 and enter your phone number. It's all automatic and you don't have to talk to anyone!!!
Hi
The number 1-800-446-1022 keep on calling me about 50 time each day & my family are getting upset.
Who is the calling from 1-800-446-1022 & why are they calling me 50 time a day.
I would like to know?
They've called about 4 times a day for the past week, with "Unavailable" in the name slot.
Caller ID displays unavailable (and thus so am I). I get up to 6 calls a day; no message ever left, of course. Zip: 19958
I have been getting these calls many times a day for a while now as well. Today(08/23/2006) I called the number and chose Option 2 to remove my number from their list. We will see how many times they call me over the next 30 days.
called 8 times a day.
10 times a day at least!
they call & call daily the message is unknown. how annoying, when i called the number back i said stop calling me there was a no english talking woman on the other end (surprising) i asked her to take my name off teh list & she said she couldn't (well i think that's what she said)
I have had a Household Bank Credit Card for EXACTLY three days. They have already called me 8 times in that short period. Hmmm, is this worth it?
HSBC's telemarketing department. Redial the number and listen to the recorded message. Option 2 is to remove your number from their telemarketing list - this can take up to 30 days to complete, but better than nothing!
this caller calls up to six times a day, never leaving a message.
Hangup call once they got the machine. This has been going on MANY times per day for about two months--not sure whether this 800-446-1022 is the only culprit. Sometimes caller ID says Unknown Number or No Data.
800-446-1022 calls everyday several times. It lists Unknown Name in the caller ID section. Last date they called was 8/17/06 at 4:14 CST
Removed my phone number from their call list by calling them back and pressing option 2. I'm not "off the hook" for another 30 days, though.
Calls from this number occur numerous times each day.
Been calling for about a week, 3 or 4 times a day. Blocked them the other day with my sunrocket acct. they continue to call...only my phone no longer rings:)
Calls have originated from this number, marked "unknown name", almost every hour today (8/14/06). I don't answer and they didn't leave a message. They called at 7:44p, 6:37p, 1;41p, 11;15A, 9:31A, several times on Satuday, but not Sunday. It's getting annoying. I'm at 33612 postal code
The calls that I received were everyday for about 10 days, no messages. Today I was finally home to take a call, it was some freaking non-english speaking india person trying to sell me add-on to my HSBC credit card account.
call twice a day - I do not ansewr - my cell phone showed only the number
my zip is 32812
This number calls almost 10 times a day and when asked who they are, they either refuse to answer or simply evade the question by asking to speak to the head of the household. Does anyone know who they are?
I get daily calls from 800-446-1022. No one on other end, and they do not leave a message. I am sick & tired of these annoying phone calls; I have been on the "do not call" list for many months.
This is the number for HSBC's telemarketing division. I called back and press the option for our number to be removed. The recording says that the removal may take up to 30 days.
I've been getting constant calls from this number, I've now blocked it.
I am getting calls up to about 10 times a day on both lines. On one line it is about 1 time an hour. Really annoying.
This caller has called 6 times per day for the last month. No messages are left. When dialed it rings 8 times then goes to a fax machine answer. Today I picked up, after a delay a woman answered with ..Hello? I screamed STOP CALLING!!!! lets see what happens now?
Has called two or three times today, many times on Saturday and Sunday.
They never leave a message
THIS NUMBER IS HIGHLY ANNOYING! CALLS DAILY ALL DAY LONG,IF YOU ANSWER IT NO ONE IS THERE! CLOSE EM DOWN
This morning so far I have received 6 calls and it is only noon. Typed the number into browser got this site and posted a message. For the past week it it at leas 10 times a day
800-446-1022 I just had this come up on my called ID. Looked it up in google and this was the only web site to come up, so I entered a complaint.
I finally picked up the phone after a couple weeks of ignored calls. It was a recorded message saying that HSBC Card Services wanted to contact me and that I should call them back at that number. I filed a complaint with my state's do-not-call program and re-registered myself with the national do-not-call list.
nobody there when phone is answered.
you can report this company to your State's Attorney or you can call the 800-446-1022 - option #2 and have your name removed from their calling list.
Please leave a masssge I don't know who you are thank you.
