How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I am really annoyed with this collection agency, whenever I say my name they again n again expressing their regrets about the error in ph no. But after someday another person calls & the same episode is repeated. I got to know they are disturbing others too from this forum debtconsolidationcare.com. I think I had to sue thm to stop this idiotic things.

Still continuing to call my work and leave voicemails. When someone has answered the phone, has made up stories to try to get them to give me the phone. When they're told I can't be reached here, they say okay and hang up, but then continue to call back! Isn't this against the law? I read that they can't bug you at work if you are not allowed to receive calls at work.
This was left on my work voicemail. It's not a private one, it's for the whole office. If it's ACS, then they should have stopped calling there by now! After, what, 10 calls of being told I can't get personal calls (and some lies to different people to get me to pick up anyway), you'd think they'd have given up by now! Let me guess, they want to humiliate me in front of everyone on purpose! Jerks!

These scum suckers leave a different name each time they call and it is ALWAYS the same spitty shouter with a sloppy boston accent. Lets see are you Adam Parker? Neil Douglas? Paul Roberts? Mr. Stewart? Ms Johnson (with a deep voice) Yes, I am , no I'm not, yes i am...Geez, go get a life!
They are collectors and NOT helpful to any degree!
Recieved a call from Academy Collection Services... Said I needed to call back immediately before the gentleman who called makes a "DECISION", He wants to hear my side of the story...
These people call about 15 times everyday. They leave short ugly messages. One this evening was more like a threat out of a Horror Movie. These guys are sick and perverted, they really should get a new act.
The tactics used are old and boring, maybe a cleaning job at the ZOO would better suit their intellect. DO NOT give these people ANY of your information, and DO NOT allow them to shock you!
NEVER GIVE A DEBT COLLECTOR YOUR BANKING OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. MAKE THEM VALIDATE THEIR CLAIMS.
