Called about fraud on my credit card. Appears to be legitimate, but to be sure I called the HSBC number on the website, and they put me through to security, who told me about unauthorized charges to my card.
Legimate call from the security department at HSBC to verify a recent charge on my credit card.
H.S.B.C has never called about purchases they ALWAYS. ALWAYS..E_MAIL they have never ever called me.... criminals I say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't be stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY NOT ANY CARD SERVICES....... they are CRIMINALS.... don't speak to them!!!!!! report them to police!!!!!!!! don't be stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rather than call this number left on a message, I called the number on the back of my HSBC credit card. They transferred me to the Securiy Department and it turned out to be legitimate. They had a temporary hold on my card to verify recent charges I had made.
This was HSBC calling with fraud information for the owner of the account. Funny thing was that the owner of the account does not live at my address and couldn't have my phone number. I called them back to clear it up. I was put on hold for 8 minutes while they "removed my number from the account".
It is Orchard Bank (HSBC) calling about unauthorized charges. The number is ok
This is from Orchard Bank - their fraud prevention dept. - someone made an unautorized charge to my card & they called to verify. I did not talk to them when they called but called the 800 number on the back of the card instead. Never can be too careful these days unfortunately.
