Report a phone call from 8004160058
How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

and another thing only 12% go to the charities as the rest go to paying the TSRs to make the calls.
I have to say that J.A.K. is one of the worst jobs out there, I work there and im sorry if i called anyone. Please understand that it is not my choice to do so, but i have two boys ( 3 and 5) and a wife that i have to support. You can contact me at The420jakal@gmail.com if you want more info.
*****LISTEN UP!!!****
This is important! The Indiana Troopers Association just layed off 40 callers. Because of the VERY greedy John Keller. CEO of JAK productions. Jak is the "consulting company for the ITA. THAT GREEDY BASTURD IS GETTING 15% OF THE TOP. BEFORE ITA GETS THERE CUT. THATS WHY THERE IS NO MONEY FOR THE TROOPERS. ITA IS IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING RID OF JAK FOR GOOD. EXCEPT HE OWNS THE DIALER AND ALL THE EQUIPMENT. BUT THATS OK CUZ WE AS ITA OF WVA HAVE A PLAN. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM. JUST PLEASE BEAR WITH US. THINGS WILL GET BETTER. AS OF RIGHT NOW ALL MONIES ACTUALLY GO TO ITA. JOHN KELLER HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS IN FOR. LETS JUST ALL HOPE AND PRAY THAT JAIME SPRIGGS WILL BE OUR KNIGHT IN SHINNING ARMOR.
None of these numbers belong to the Indiana Troopers Association, Inc. located in Angola, Indiana.
They might belong to the Indiana STATE Troopers Association, an entirely separate organization, not associated in any way with the ITA,
I work here in Fairmont, WV. Their call center is here. The first time I saw it I was like WTF. So I looked it up and here I am. Place IS in a tiny run down strip mall. You can see the people from the sidewalk in their cubes like donkeys waiting for carrots. I wouldn't give these jacka$$es a penny of my money. I do feel bad though, for the people that work there. This really is a bunghole of a town and the sad fact is that those are likely some of the best jobs in town... unless you want to die sucking coal dust. I would be nice the first time, maybe two, then I would tell them the information I give you here. And that out of the sense of human decency, take your name of the list. Then tell them your cousin Billy works at Food Lion (the grocery next door) and he's gonna work your a$$ over if you don't stop calling.
I am very frustrated at this moment! I just received a call requesting a donation to your fund from an out of state number on my cell phone! Which means the idiot on the other line wouldn't hang up! I work and off shift and was trying to sleep. I don't care if you need money! We all do at this time. PLEASE TAKE MY NAME AND NUMBER OFF YOUR SOLICITATION LIST! Do you want me to call you in the middle of your night! I will be glad to! I don't care if this is part of a NFP. Don'T CALL!
BTW, I wish to apologize to you all for calling during my time with the ITA.
I'm a former employee of ITA. All calls are coming from a call center in Fairmont, WV. The callers work for the organization, not the Indiana State Police. A very small protion of the donation actually benefits the troopers. Figures range from 10% down to less than 1%. There are a few Indiana State Troopers in the organization, but for the most part, it's civilians, trying to make money. Due to the fact that it is a non-profit organization, national DO-NOT-CALL lists do not apply, and if you ask to be taken off, your number is usually just recycled. It generally takes a week to work through a region, so after a week, you should stop recieveing calls for a while. Pledging, but not returning the donation will only lead to repeated calls by the organization in an attempt to get the donation. I suggest you ignore the call, and find a legitimate law-enforcement charity.
Just got a call from this yahoo scam...He asked for someone else, who must have had our phone number at one point in time..he began reading his paper..and I asked him to stop..he continued, I yelled to wait a minute..he continued..when he was finished, he asked if I would be interested. I asked him why he didn't stop when I asked him to and he said I reminded him of his wife so he continued! WTF?? I told him I was offended and hung up! DAVE MATTHEWS is the name he gave me..I will try everything in my power to report your sorry ass!
i worked for their records dept they kept all but 22% and the do not call list does not apply to them because they call for the troppers. however they get away with million a WEEK so i hope you can tell your friends this is theft and if you tell them yes they send you a kit with NO obl then they call back again the best thing to do is recive there mailing and send them a brick or a heavy object as a "donation" and then once they lose money they will take you off there list. yes they are indeed crooks. by the way the only call center is in West Virginia there office in angola is just a PO box to have an in state address. DO NOT GIVE THEM $$$$$$$ or they will call back till you are dead.
And another thing, the call center is located in Fairmont W.V. It is actually located at the Marion Square Plaza between Builders Surplus and Food Lion. This place needs shut down!
I worked for the Indiana Troopers Association as a TSR (caller) and floor manager. I advise all of the Indiana residents to either not answer, or deny donating. If you tell them to take your name/number off of the list, it will be removed from the list but will be back on the list in a total of 3 months. It is a scam! Most employees make anywhere from $8-10hr. And there are some callers making $13 hr. How can it be a legitimate organazation?
hung up when i answered
Called, but did not leave a message.
Indian troopers solicting for Money told him I was on fixed income cannot afford it and he kept talking to the point I hung up the phone which I dont like doing but I told him no!
This is a boilerroom with a mail drop in Nora, IN for the Indiana State Troopers Association. Indiana State Police is aware of them but doesn't lend support.
Looks like the Indiana State Troopers are out looking for money again. Maybe I should just start speeding.
Skyped this number back. Got an Audix voicemail system prompt and the "name" of the mailbox is "thank you for calling - all agents are busy assisting others at this time - please try your call later". Exactly the same announcer as whocalled.us
According to their 990 for 2006, the Indiana Troopers Benevolent Association (based in Angola, IN), out of $2.5 million in expenses for that year, only $217 thousand benefitted troopers. Yes, a whopping 8.7%; the rest was for fundraising and management expenes. In 2005, it was 8.5%. This is pathetic!!! These worms are using the good name of the Indiana State Troopers to do little more than fatten their own wallets. If any troopers have anything to do with this organization, shame on them!!!
Called several times. Last time I he said he was representing Indiana troopers. I told him I was eating dinner and not interested. I usually dont't answer unidentified 800 numbers.
hangs up as soon as you pick up.
they call all the time and we are on the do not call list. they are still trying to get money from you.
Be carefull with these. Even if it is a "legal" charity, it may not be very legit. Ask them what percentage of the dontation goes to the recipients. I asked that and was told 2%. An even if they get 20% as you say, that's still a shamm. The BBB says with a good charity, at least 60% of the funds actually go to the charity.
They state to be calling on behalf on the Indiana State Troppers Benevolence Fund. BEWARE, I used to work at a police DEpartment in Illinois and this sort of "group" is ficticious. I told the person who called me....0800 on the dot on Saturday morning waking me on my only day to sleep, I asked him to send their literature to my home as I don't respond to cold calling and he hung up on me.
I called it back and got a voice mail saying "the voice mail of....sorry all of our operators are busy....Please try your call again later."
Called at 14:07:37 EST. I'd be inclined to agree with Jim who thinks it's the Indiana State Troopers. I reported a call from them this morning.
Getting tired of multiple calls from this number. Never a "heartbeat" on other end.
Same thing as everbody else...but last year an actual "agent" came around for a check...not pushy...but politely persistant.
hung up once and left no message the second time
Evidently 800-416-0058 is not blocked from so-called telemarketers. I don't care what "association" it is, I do not appreciate getting asked for money over the phone. The state police, of all people, should NOT be calling for donations! Why isn't this type of call fall under the "do-not-call" list?
The troopers are at it again. They seem to come in waves. We'll hear nothing from them in months and then we get calls 3-4 times a day from different numbers all "TOLL FREE CALLS". We don't answer anymore.
what makes you think they are state troopers asking for money?
have no idea who this is, but when I return the call they hang up
Travis, you are very wrong. The BBB says the ITA uses an outside fundraising company. That company keeps 80% of your pledge...the ITA only hets 20%. Wake up and don't mislead honest people. Do your homework people before you give your hard earned money away.
constant calling all weekend (even on Sunday). who are these idiots?
ITA. They call all the time. Even when we have asked them not to call, they still do. Also, we have told them we do not give donations to organizations calling us on the phone, they still try to hassle us into giving. I usually don't answer, but with two napping toddlers, they always call at the worst time.
Could hear a boiler room in the back, but answered with our business name and caller stated they had the wrong number..??
the number that shows up on your machine is the number of their dialer, they have a big automatic dialer and about 60 computers that the calls are sent to, when you, or an answering machine picks up it beeps and they say hello, even though you may have said hello or the machine may have beeped already, you cant call that number that shows up on your caller id back call 1800 671 9851 talk to karen shelton, do a google search for ITA, i worked there and while they assn gets 100 the troopers themselves get about 15-20%
Called 3x today. Slight pause when I answer followed by dial tone.
i WOULD THINK EVEN THOUGH THIS IS SUPPOSEDLY THE POLICE.. STATE OR OTHERWISE THEY SHOULD NOT BE USING MY INFO TO SOLICIT MONEY. i HAVE A NON-PUB #. I UNDERSTAND THAT IS SHOWS UP FOR AN 800 # THAT I CHOOSE TO CALL AND FOR 911 BUT IT SHOULDN'T BE USED IN THAT MANNER OR PROFESSION.THESE PEOPLE CALL ME SEVERAL TIMES A DAY AND DON'T SAY ANYTHING SO MY OPTION IS TO HANG UP. WHEN I CALLED THEM TO REMOVE MY NAME AND NUMBER FROM THEIR LIST I GOT VOICE MAIL THAT IS FULL!!! SO HOW DO I GET OFF THEIR LIST NOW TRAVIS??
This one showed up on caller ID as IND super ass. Too funny for the troopers
also they dont take any money/credit card/banking info over the phone and you dont have to give them any personal info they have your name address and phone number on file, it is the state police after all, if you say you want to help they send you a preaddressed return envelope for you to send them money back after you get your pledge kit and window decal in the mail
ok let me help some of you people out, they are legit, and based in angola IN, not sure what that company in Evansville is but is has nothing to do with the ITA. If you just let your machine get it they hang up and move on to the next call and you will be called back over and over till you do eventually pick up. it is legal for them to call between 8am and 9pm 7 days a week, the fact that it is sunday makes no difference. if you dont want them calling you tell them "put me on your do not call list" as soon as they identify themselves. for those of you on the national do not call list it does not apply to fundraising done by qualified non-profit orginizations. it is true that police officers themselves are not allowed to make calls to ask for money because it can be considered taking a bribe, among other things, but the people who call you from the ITA are not troopers they work directly for the ITA and are not part of a 3rd party telemarketing service and 100% of all the money they do raise goes to the indiana trooper assosiation, if you want to help out the state troopers then donate if not tell them to call back next year, or tell them to put you on the do not call list, but dont be rude to them or just hang up on them without saying anything because you will be called back
CALLED 3 TIMES TODAY. WHEN ASKED WHO WAS CALLING WOULDN'T SAY. SAID WILL CALL BACK
I CALLED BACK [1880-416-0058}GOES TO VOICE MAIL.
no voice, stays on the phone
I've had the same four numbers
800 784 0119
888 816 0054
877 286 0028
800 416 0058
Call again and again. They seem to be State Troopers. They never leave a message.
800 784 0119 --
888 816 0054 --
877 286 0028 --
800 416 0058 -- All appear to be the Indiana Troopers! I've had all four numbers call in the past two days.
This and 877-286-0028 has been calling my house a lot the last day or two. I know 877-286-0028 is the Indiana Troopers. I'm guessing this is the same.
This number calls my house several times in a day, but does not say anything or leave message.
Called consistently.
They call constantly but never leave a message or talk when I answer the call.
Indiana troopers they call several times a day
They called me about 3 times yesterday but no one talkes.
OUR COMPLAINTANT SAID THE MAN IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS A POLICE OFFICER IN WEST VIRGINIA. POLICE DEPARTMENTS SOLICITING MONEY WILL VISIT A RESIDENCE IN PERSON WITH THE PROPER CREDENTIALS. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE TELEPHONE!
I also get a call here in Evansville IN. My guess is Indiana Troopers too.
I think this is the "indiana troopers association" soliciting for donations.
