What you people don't understand is that there is actually Canadians who speak perfect English on the other end of those calls that you hate so much. Keep in mind when you receive another one of those annoying calls that these people are just trying to earn a living like the rest of you. Some of them may not even like their jobs but have no choice at the time. What makes you think that they even enjoy calling you and getting sworn at or even hung up on.the worse you treat them the more they will call you. Show some respect because their just doing their job like each and every one of you. Sometimes the things you say to one of these telemarketers can really take effect in how they feel, they are humans just like us who ended up getting a shitty job. So next time they call think of how you would want to be treated when at work with one of your customers.

These guys call me so much that it has made me contemplate suicide. After reading all your messages, I'm gonna do it for sure!
IT is Gemma Communications from Toronto and Montreal
They are doing a campaign for Rogers.
Their office # is 416-256-6479
Their fax: 416-256-6499
Their email: toronto@gemmacom.com

Sick and tired about receiving calls from this number at my work office asking for who makes decisions about telecommunication! They do not take no for any answer and call and and call. When you press redial, you get silence and eventually a prerecorded voice saying: thanks for calling, goodbye! Nuisance. My office number is on the do not call list and we do not have any dealings with Rogers that would "allow" them call here, but the calls keep coming.
I guess we could spam their employment application @ gemmacom.com
asked these losers at Gemma to take my number off their list. Of course they didn't and the calls persisted. I just reported them to the CRTC and would advise others to do the same. I called Rogers to complain (and ask them to cancel my services) and had an interesting experience. The woman in the cancellation department first insisted that this was a telemarketing scam and Rogers was not responsible. I told her that I would report Gemma Marketing to Phone Busters then. Then she put me on hold, came back and told me that Rogers had indeed sold my personal information to Gemma, and that they had every right to do so because I did not implicitly order them not to. I was assured I will not get any more calls, but we shall see. Since they refuse to allow me to cancel my contract without a fee I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I also notified Telus Mobility as it is my Telus phone they are repeatedly harassing me on.
They call me all the time. Just followed the steps below, hope it works.
Simply follow these steps:
1. Sign in to your Rogers account online.
2. Select My Marketing Permissions from the ‘Need Help With...’ section
3. Complete the Marketing Permissions Opt Out form.
Call Bell And complain that rogers is harassing there customers to steel business for there home phone via gemma marketing let them sue them!!!!
So yeah, remember that whole number cancel this I wrote about below?
Yeah, well, it worked for two-and-a-half months, and now I am back on a daily call routine. I should threaten cancellation, too (maybe I'll get some free long distance out of it, or something).
for real my niggas, stop calling me
The number 1-800-395-8813 is Gemma Communications LP. They give you this number 416-850-9357 so you can have your name removed. Looked up 416-850-9357 and saw that this number belongs to The Healthy Way, 250 Carlton St. Toronto,ON M5A 2L1 416-850-9357 (Dundas St. & Parllament St.)???????? I tried other reverse look-ups and could not trace this number. Shady, very shady!!
Call at 2:20pm. I did not answer it.
Have been receiving calls from 1-800-395-8813 for months at least 5 times a day. They called today (a Saturday) at 3:31pm and then at 4:27pm. The 4:27pm one I answered, and just after saying hello I heard a click on the line and some woman was on the phone. Told me she was calling from Gemma Communications on behalf of Rogers. I am a client of Rogers and told her that if I needed anything I would call them myself. I asked her to take me off her list and she said she would do so (like MANY times before without ANY SUCCESS).
I then immediately called them back (1-800-395-8813) and the automatic voicemail mentionned that if I wanted to stop all the calls I would need to dial 1-888-ROGERS1. I did. I then spoke with a guy and told him that I was more than fed up with this whole situation. He said he would need to fill out a form to make all the calls stop permanently. Told me it would take about one day to process my request.
Hope this will work. Will keep you posted.
You have to opt out of Rogers marketing. I called them and said if i receive one more call I'm canceling all my services
here for instructions: rogers.com
i think this might link to the opt out page but you have to log in to rogers.com: your.rogers.com
this people are fucked up
Called the number and had it removed from their list. They said it takes up to 48 hours.. Whatever..
Call came in, silence, then the familiar "click" that sent me to an agent to sell me crap. I hung up right away (shouldn't have picked up in the first place).
Jim 2007-01-17 is correct. I called to remove my number.
1 for English.
11 for number removal.
Listen for correct number told, edit as prompted if required.
And there you go.
If only the other telcos were better than Rogers. I'd quit just to stop their marketers...
best thing o do is report it to the do not call registry.
They will get fined and then they will stop calling.
The first step is placing your number on the registry, then call about the annoying phone calls and let the get fined.
FUCK OFF.
STOP CALLING ME.
Have received 7 calls from this number in last two days, i.e., Dec. 16-17
They received no answer to any of them. When do they give up???
stop calling me
When i tried to press the button 0 the automatic told me...bye!!! impossible to speak directly to someone grrr!!!!
they're calling me everyday. annoying. i dont like to deal with them. unprofessional.
Wow, most people understand that when you breathe heavily into the phone, you should probably hang up. Not these people.
3 times already today (calls are routed straight to VM, but they never leave a message): 2008-05-01 ~15:45h, ~17:20h and ~19:15h ET. Calls at least once every day for the past 2 weeks.
I called the number and went through the instructions to be removed, hopefully this works because I am really getting tired of them calling every 2 hours to bother me. They call from around 9am to 9pm at night, I really feel like calling Rogers to cuss them out about this. It's ridiculous! It's harassment.
They can not understand English.
Stop calling 4167508688
i got two calling without sound.
Person on phone couldn't say my name. I couldn't understand anything they said except Rogers. Hung up on them.
annoying
Tell them you're on Vonage and ask them to price-match at $19.95/mo. That will shut them up.
Rogers Communications via Gemma Communications. They're pushing their Rogers Home Phone service. Call the number back and get your number removed. Hopefully they'll follow through.
I just received a call from this number and didn't answer, then called back. You get an automated system, identifiying as "Gemma Communiactions" you can enter your number to have it removed (all without having to talk to a human). I just did it, so no idea yet whether they will honour the request.
I tryed calling the number and following the instructions to be removed from their calling list and it didn't help, the number still keeps calling me! I'm getting quite annoyed!
Got a bunch of calls from this number followed Jim's instns to have my number removed from their list.
I called the number and an automated message answered saying the number is not in service...how can a number that's not in service call my cell phone? now that's just weird!
Man called asking me what i pay for my Bell telephone service. He is selling Rogers home service and it was cheaper only 19.95 including long distance for 3 months.
Rogers
please stop to call my home, on 514 722..
Says the number is not in service. Weird.
If you call this number, press 1 for English, then follow instructions to be removed from campaign.
