Phone rang at 8:40pm Pacific, I let the machine get it, no message left.

Personally if I want a service or item believe me I will find you... (800-383-0583) does anyone know if they are charged per time the phone is picked up? I think this may be case due to the ring 2 times and hang up thing they are doing. I now pick up phone and just click off. In hopes this is costing them money.

Sick of all the calls... I guess the Do Not Call Registry doesn't really apply to these people.It is terrible what we all have to go through with the constant intrusion and irritating calls. I suppose we could all get a class action suit against all these phone stalkers.

This number has called my office almost every day for a month, does not leave a message and usually calls before or after office hours. I recognized the number a few days ago when it happened to call while I was actually in the office and I answered. They identified themselves as Chase and afiliated with United Airlines because the lady I talked to kept trying to get me to get their Visa card so my United Frequent Flyer points would not expire and promised enough addittional points for a free trip. She was barely understandable and kept insisting I really needed this credit card while I repeatedly assured her that I did not need or want the card. I informed her that I had shredded all the applications they had mailed me over the last couple of years and had in fact just finished shredding the most recent one. I thought when I got her off the phone this would be the end of it but not so. My caller ID at the office shows a missed call from them yet again today. I just wish they would go away.

You need a call screener device. I have had one for years. It's like a caller ID box with more options. I can set it to ignore all 800 numbers, the number shows up but the phone does not ring, it goes directly to answer machine. It has a timer, I set mine from 9am to 8pm for ring through, any other time no ring. But even during my ring through hours 800 numbers are blocked. I can also program certain numbers to ring no matter what the settings in case of emergencies. This was the best 99 dollars I ever spent. I got it from privacy corps.

This call came on my cell phone - Previously I had been receiving calls from this number on my land line. The caller identified himself as "Kevin" although with a distinctive Indian accent.

The woman spoke with such a thick accent (Indian or Pakistani) that I couldn't understand what she was saying and I don't know if it was a credit card company or what.

I called this number back and the recording stated that I'd called Chase services. After a long-winded recording detailing numbers for legitamite services, I was instructed to press 5 to be removed from their call list. I did so and am waiting to see if that actually works.
What a bunch of bull. Honestly, I don't understand what they gain from these calls.

These guys were calling daily according to my phone logs and disregarding the automated message I left for them to take me off their call list; however, when I called the number back, through a series of automated data entry, I was able to add my number to their "do not call" list. They issued me a confirmation number and state it will take up to 30 days to take affect. We'll see.

Has called over and over again. Usually once around noon EST, or 9pm EST. Answered the phone today at 11:56 pm EST and they were trying to sell me Fraud Protection for a Chase credit card for $11.99 a month.. Indian lady or something. I told them I was recording their call to send to Chase and they hung up.

Apparently received their leads from United Mileage Plus. Indian-sounding accent. Repeated calls from this caller ID. I finally answered to get rid of them.

Yes, it's Chase. We are trying to consolidate our debt, and Chase is holding out (They of course, want the higher rates that they can steal from us on their own). The calls start at 8 a.m. Central time (thought they couldn't call before 9:00?) and go on every few hours of the day until 8:50 p.m. When I am done with this nightmare, I will never have anything to do with a company that stoops to prank phone calls as a way to get to you.

no longer answer unknown numbers. answered it once about a year ago, and they wanted to sign me up for payment protector for my Chase card. i kept saying no and eventually hung up on her. the next month i started getting charged for payment protector and am unsuccessful in attempts to get them to cancel it. one year later i still pay for it monthy, and will never answer their calls again!

I called the number and received a recording. It allowed me to be placed on an "internal" do not call list for Chase Bank. I am listed on the National DNC List and should not be receiving any calls from Chase. I requested removal from an automated system. We will see. This is not a good way for Chase to be endeared by prospects. It will be a rainey day in HELL before I would bank with them after their daily Pakastani harrassment.

Caller identified themselves from Continental Airlines credit card division. They were trying to get info over the telephone for me to apply for a credit card over the phone. Had my telephone and name but wanted my address (very strange).

I tried calling this number today and I wanted to share with all of you that I did have some success: in all fairness, this company does offer callers the opportunity to be added to their "Do Not Call" list--simply dial the 800 number and follow the recorded instructions provided. They called our Skype phone. Chase Credit Card wanting us to signup for a card on the phone.

This calling from unknown people who saying they are from chase or other places not even talking fluent English and if u ask them something what’s not in the book or on a piece of paper what they reading to u they getting confused and try to talk them self out it is just so pathetic that this people can harassing u anytime, in other places like in Germany it is illegal, and it would be time that this need to be illegal in the US also, somebody need to make this a stop, period.

Got three calls within three days even though my number is in the federal DNC registry. I reported their ass to the FTC.

The phone range once then when I picked up the phone the caller hung up. This is disruptive and rude of this company to have this going on. It does not reflect well on their image.

To whoever keeps calling from the phone number listed above, please learn some basic phone etiquette. 1) When you place a phone call, and the person you are calling answers with "hello", this is your cue to SAY SOMETHING BACK. Even prank callers breathe heavily. Saying nothing, then hanging up defeats the purpose of making the call in the first place. 2) If you call and we are not home, LEAVE A MESSAGE. It's why we got an answering machine. How in the world are we to know who to call back if you don't leave a name or the reason you called in the first place? 3) If you do the first two things, you will not have to call us SIX TO EIGHT TIMES A DAY. We don't appreciate hearing from people we LIKE calling us all day long, let alone you. Just stop it. We don't owe anyone any money, and if we wanted to avail ourselves of any new services you have to offer, WE would ask YOU.

This could be a complete hoax to get private information, for illegal use??? Or who knows, possibly some kind of terrorist activity. Has anyone bothered to get in touch with Chase Bank to see if it is actually coming from them or not? I'm going to take this web address to the local Chase bank and let them know that if this is or isn't coming from them their loosing a lot of business so better check on it.

This number is NOT Chase. They have a recorded message recorded from the actual Chase number.
They have been calling for the past month asking for my sister when she wasn't home, and I finally had my sister call Chase.
Chase had said that there should be no reason they would be calling her and that the calls from the said number are most likely scammers.
Next time these people call anyone, just say this. "I spoke with Chase earlier and they said there is no reason I should be receiving calls. I gave them the number of the person who has been calling me and said it does not belong to them. I will now be reporting this number to the police"

I'm a receptionist at a law firm. A man with an accent called a few minutes before noon (PST). The person he asked for is not an employee here, nor have I ever heard of this person. Just for kicks i had him repeat the last name and then spell it several times before i told him "we have no one here by that name" :)

We got a call tonight. My husband was very firm with the man who had a thick Indian accent. Even after my husband hung up, he waited about 10 seconds, picked up the phone, and the man was still talking. My husband told him to hang up the phone immediately and he did. We will choose option #5.

they asked for my son by his full name and regarding his chase card. this is really scaring me because he knew my son's name and that my son has an account. they continue to call even when i tell them i am not interested. i tell him to slow down reading his script. they are from india. what to do?

Most abusive telemarketing campaign ever - pure, unadulterated harassment. Selling fraud protection from a call center in India. Multiple calls. (80+?) Asked repeatedly to be removed, threatened cease & desist etc to no avail.Called Chase to be put on their 'internal' do not call list. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH CHASE! They'll make you miserable for the rest of your lives.

I get a call at least once ever workday. I have VoIP so I think it hangs up before it can connect me to a person. I think this has something to do with the Chase credit card I signed up for. They started soliciting me for other services BEFORE I got the card in the mail. I canceled the card before I got it because it was so ridicules.

I get this call often and it is always someone from India (Chase) I ask repeatedly if I can buy Beef products with my Chase card and then ask if he knows if there are any places where I can torture cows for money that accpet Chase Visa. Then I make smacking noises and tell him I am eating a cow that hasn't died yet, that I am wearing leather and that I am going out later to use my CHase Visa to buy a chainsaw so I can saw the legs off of a cow.... etc.

Just got a call for my boss at work.

Calls everyday, sometimes more than once. No messages. As a customer of Chase-that will change- it's annoying. Esp. since I've been through this before with them and they won't take no for an answer.

I've been receiving calls from this number since Monday, 1/22/07. Like everyone else it is just two calls. No message is left and I do not answer. The time is usually between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. and within a half hour of each other.

The question is, has everyone flown United just before getting these phone calls? The calls are from a Call Center in India offering me a United Miles Plus Credit Card thru Chase Bank. They had my name and address from work where my travel arrangements are made. I had them read it to me. They were verifying info and when I said I do not give my Social Security Number out over the phone stated, that was OK, and contined with the application and reading me my information. Will be interesting if I get the card without giving out my Number. I never gave United my Social Security Number, but Chase bank Does

These people have been calling for a while. We never pick up. Tonight, they left a message. It was interesting...a loud noise, and then a women said "you're going to get your @ss beat."

I am at work and did not answer the call. I googled it while it was ringing and found this site. Received call at 6:27pm Eastern.

After telling them I was going to sue, they stopped calling. Just fyi if you report this number since it is a bank they list it as debt collection and do not further investigate. Guess that is why they are able to keep calling after numerous complaints.

If you call the number back you will get an automated Chase Visa voice. If you follow the prompts you can add your phone number to Chase's internal Do Not Call list. They will stop calling you within 30 days.

Just a tip. You can call back just about any 800 number and you will get an automated message telling you exactly who the number belongs to. (800) 383-0583 is from Chase. Call the number and try it out!

Chase. I am getting ticked off. This number comes up all the time. I finally was home to pick it up and very explicitly told the (Indian) caller that I wanted my number removed. I got another call today, despite my request. I again told the caller to remove my number or I would contact the AG's office. He assured me it would be removed. We'll see.

Credit fraud monitoring marketing from Chase based in western asia. Operators instructed many times-- do not call. Finally called Chase, they told me to call a number, I politely refused given they've already been notified. Operator was able to remove me from the marketing list. HOWEVER... how instead of 30 days... the wait period is NINETY (90) days!!

They call often. I never answer them.

got the call at 2:45PM, i havent picked the call. No voice message left.

They have been calling about every 1/2 hour this morning (regularly yesterday also) and I've asked them not to call. They have an Asian Indian accent.

These folks have been calling me now for about three weeks. They call about every other day and never leave a message. If I answer they just hang up.

I have tried to return calls to the number on my ID, but it just gives the tone for a number that is out of service.

Got a call from these idiots right before 9PM. They will go onto the zap list of my phonetray call blocking software. Next time they call they will be greeted with the standard "line disconnected" tone. This has proven very effective in combating morons with phones.

Got it while I was out for the first time today on my caller ID. Says "unknown name." By the way, if you have an existing business relationship with a company, I believe the are allowed to call you to try to sell stuff and not violate do not call lists. I'll bet 5 dollars it's chase bank. Ever since I got that card someone from there is always calling trying to sell me junk. My other credit card doesn't do that ever. I'm thinking of transferring my debt from the chase card and canceling and when they ask why I'll tell them I'm tired of them trying to sell me crap all the time!

I KNOW THIS NUMBER BY HEART. I DO NOT ANSWER ANYMORE. ALWAYS INDIAN ACCENT CANNOT UNDERSTAND THEM. I HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH CHASE BUT I AM SWITCHING IT TO GET RID OF THE P.I.A CALLS.VERY PUSHY AND ANNOYING SALES PEOPLE!! VERY VERY ANNOYING COMPANY!!!!!!!

The thing that really gets to me is that I have credit cards with all these companies and they still call and harass me.

weird accent offering gold credit card

This is the fifth call I received from thsm. I put a series of audio tones on my answering machine, maybe I won't get any more calls from them.

They have been calling for last week. Sometimes male, sometimes female. Always a foreign accent. They ask for me by name, but I hang up when I hear foreign accent b/c I don't want to misunderstand them and accidently agree to something.

Chase Bank. If you call back you'll be offered the option to be put on their do not call list. But I hung up because I thought I'd be transferred one of their hacks who would give me the sales pitch I'm avoiding by letting the phone ring without pickup.

He said Chase Credit, I said, you sound like an Indian, He said "yes, so". I said, "Tonto already take care of me" and hung up.

With a thick Indian accent. Was asking for me but I told him "I" was not here. Asked me if I was authrorized to make desicions on "My" Chase card. Said no and he mumbled off some number to call back if I had questions. Very fishy. They always call between 8:25 and 8:40 EST PM.

They call my work number every day, even weekends. They don't leave a message. I haven't picked up or called them back.

They've been calling at least three times a day for weeks - including Sundays. It's really annoying.

These people call almost daily & sometimes 2 or more times - trying to get us to buy or try their crap! If you call it back you can get an automated system that you can add your number to their Do Not Call list & then it says it takes 30 days before they will quit calling - what a pain!

I get regular calls from these jerks at Chase. Usually from India. But if you have Verizon DSL they have a service called IOBI for $7.95 a month. You can block "unavailable" calls so the phone doesn't ring. Then you can go on their website and check the list of blocked calls and report them here.

Called, i answered and they hung up. Called number back and got Chase's automated menu, first time, hope it doesnt happen much more.

Called them back and asked for my number to be added to DO NOT CALL list. Takes 90 seconds or so. Hope it works!

I have this number on call block, but my log shows that this number calls at least 3x a day, 7 days a week. They have been calling for approximately 5 months now.

I agree with others, all callers from this number have an Indian/Pakistani accent and come in from 7:56 pm est to 9:02 pm est.

I googled this number and it comes back to Chase Manhattan Credit Card.

Calls always come in at 8:00 AM or 8:00 PM.

Calls come in around 8:20-8:30 pm Pacific time. Have started coming in between 10:20 and 11:00am as well. Calls are left for machine to pick up. They ask for the same name, leave no message.
